We stopped in just before 10 pm. Didn't realize they close at 10pm on a Saturday. They were out of grilled onions and avocado. The da slippah, loko moko and Texas Cheesesteak were our choices. The burgers were full of juice and flavor. In the da slippah the onions would have finished it. The Texas cheesesteak was yummy full of robust flavor. The onions would have added but was good regardless. The Loko Moko was savory. The fries were limp and wilted. I wanted iced tea but there wasn't any at the time.

We were very pleased with Unko Maui's!!! The burgers were very tasty with their special sauce making the burger taste even better! The chili dog was very good, and can easily be shared between two people! Customer service was great and they took time to explain the menu to us, as it was our first time! I highly recommend Unko Maui's if you are looking for a new fresh tasty burger.

The burgers were good but everything else was disappointing. They ran out of plasticware forks so we got a spoon until the end of the meal, a fork was found. The food took long to make and the napkins weren't suitable for greasy burgers. Maybe if they provide better quality plasticware and napkins, it could be better.

This was an easy visit to make. Maui's on Main is amazing. I went there once with my younger son and he had the burger. And it looked amazing and he enjoyed it. So with the background they have in general with great food, and that burger experience, I couldn't wait for this place to open. It did not disappoint. Plenty of room inside and a seating area outside. Easy to find and recognize. We were greeted when we entered and ordering was easy. Menu right up front and loud. Plenty of burgers options on it too. I ordered a bacon double cheeseburger and my son got a bacon cheddar burger. Both were delicious. There was an initial snafu with the burger where I asked for no lettuce and it came plain, but they quickly rectified it and overcompensated for the missing toppings. Burger, bread, bacon all delicious. Sodas are still cans out the freezer like at Maui's on main but I hope they bring the sweet tea in. It'll be just the right capper to a delicious burger. The fries are shoestring and they're fried well. You get a generous portion with a combo. All of this deliciousness comes at a reasonable price. I've added them to my regulars for burgers. Most definitely coming back

Maybe da slappah...not sure as it wasn't on the orderable menu

We had to be here at the wrong time...we walked in and it was super dark and none of the lights we on. We stood there for a while and eventually someone came out of the kitchen to tell us the cashier wasn't there yet and to order on the machines. He told me to get da slappah which I decided on. But then it wasn't on the machine. So I told him what I wanted and he told me what to order instead and he would swap it (I don't know if he did as I said I wanted a double and I got a single)...so maybe I had da slappah. Then my wife went to get her drink and was told the machine was broken and she could get a bottled drink. Which is weird because she wanted diet coke (they have Pepsi on the machine) but then in the cooler it was all Fanta and sprite and no diet that we saw. They also didn't have ice. Eventually the food was ready and we got tots instead of fries on the app sampler (which they fixed easily). The appetizer sample was easily the worst food I've had in a long time. The fries were okay...not as good as even whataburger. The onion rings were AWFUL. Tasteless and no onion. The fried mushrooms were also tasteless other than tasting like they came out of a can. The mozzarella sticks were okay. The burger I had (whether it was the right one or not) was very good. I'd happily get the burger again if not for everything else being so bad or poorly maintained. My son refused to eat his hotdog because of the spicy sauce (which was NOT on the menu as listed being in the hot dog)...I took it off the bun and removed the sauce and then he ate it and said it was fine. His tater tots were awful...they had no flavoring other than burned oil...I don't know if they even had any salt on them. When we went to leave and take the rest of his hotdog and my wife's burger to go we were told there were no to go boxes... So I figured out how to fold the paper to cover the food to go...but just weird. My wife commented that it was sort of like if you were robbing a bank and had to pretend to work there...everyone just seemed...off... Of all the places we have been in San Antonio this is the first one I wouldn't go back to. And seriously, the burger is good...even very good (the bun is really unique)...but awful ambiance, no service, and everything else was very bad. Wife and son also commented that the bathrooms were not maintained and doors couldn't be locked.

Everything was lovely. We had wanted something new and passed by this place, we are glad we did. It was super cute inside with paintings and flamingos. The burgers were limited in choice but they were extremely unique and tasty. Very fresh tasting. The staff was very very nice and treated us as friends. Had a great time and definitely on our list! Would recommend!

Very good vibes and tasty food. Now somehow I forgot I was going to eat at a Hawaiian themed placed and should have remembered that these are the Sam Choy size entrees. Best mozzarella sticks I've had (enough for two and I got the small one), the burger-huge (again for two) and a house salad (do I need to say it again). The people working there are great. So definitely a place to visit many times.

Absolutely fantastic place! I really enjoyed the first soft opening, now the grand opening made it official! The service here is awesome, if you've been to Mikes other location you know all staff and him are the best. This location is very spacious and lots of seating, it feels almost old school but I enjoy it. Over all for the prices AND quality, id hugely recommend it.

The bacon cheddar, seasoned fries (crispy on the outside), HeyHey sauce.

I have had burgers everywhere. I thought I had a favorite until I tasted the burgers at Unko Maui's. Every single ingredient in the burger was fantastic. The bacon was high quality and cooked correctly. The meat patty was tasty without overwhelming seasoning. The cheese was delicious, and I'm normally not a cheese fan. The bun- wow! The fries had that crispiness on the outside that I always hope for. The HeyHey sauce was a tangy delight. The little cream filled pastry was surprisingly airy and light. Carla was exceptional in walking us through the menu ideas based on things we like with great patience. The level of service was that of a high-end restaurant. We can't wait to go back for what truly is THE best burgers in San Antonio.

Moko Loko Burger with side of Brown Gravy.

Walked in and was served immediately! The burgers are delicious. Very flavorful and the buns were so soft! I had the Moko Loko Burger. The gravy made that burger an A++! It has a large patio outside with plenty of tables. And the inside is cool and homey.

We have been hooked on their burgers from Maui's on Main, so finding out they were opening a burger focused spot was exciting. So here we go.. as any brand new spot, on the day of opening (actually 30 mins in) they had some minor hurdles. They did not deter my experience because I understand they are brand new and not everything can be perfect all the time.. but for the sake of transparency here it goes. We ordered 2 burgers to-go but they came out on regular trays and we were advised they didn't have any to-go containers yet, but gave us brown bags and a plastic bag, for us to politely figure out. We decided to stay and eat.. but then noticed that they learned from that situation and actually wrapped to-go orders in paper bags themselves for other customers as they came. I ordered a plain and dry burger for my kid, but it came with cheese, which was enthusiastically and immediately remediated.. Now, the burgers.. by far one of the best ones I've had. Their secret sauce is delicious and is such a great complement to the burger. Their bread lightly toasted is so fluffy and sweet. My kid's comment as he took his first bite "mmm mmm mmm this is so delicious, mm" coming for a picky eater this is probably the best compliment! This will definitely be added to our burger joints rotation, they are so delicious and the staff was extremely friendly and always catering to the patrons!

It's a cute enough place. However, burger bun was hard, service is horrible, and they were out of every fountain drink. There were about 10 total customers, most were already sitting. Employees looked stressed out and were not welcoming at all. There's a female that was overly explaining herself to every table. It's really cringy. You just see customers rolling their eyes right after she walks away from the tables. They also do not close until 10, but cringy lady herself turned off the open sign at 915. By 930 they were already slamming everything. If y'all hate your life or your job, leave. People pay to be there but you'll lose people quick with that lack of ethics.

It's very NY/Northeastern deli feel (they're from Pittsburgh, but you get my drift, right!?). No nonsense. Small inside area. No tables inside. Just enough room to look at the menu, order, and go wait outside. I opted for the chicken bacon ranch on hoagie. What came out was a decent size sandwich, but incredibly messy and soggy. There was so much juice/ liquid the sandwich quickly became unmanageable and just disintegrated. Look, if you're going to serve a sandwich that messy, please upgrade your napkins. It was a one bite - two napkin ratio. The sandwich was good, but the mess and difficulty eating it just took away any enjoyment. Additionally, the flies outside rivaled the worst I've experienced. Do you remember the scene in the Lost World, Jurassic Park movie when the hunters found the Rex nest!? Okay, okay, maybe not that bad, but it was a lot. Hang some fly bags or strips or somethin'. Found price to be a little high. By the time I bought chips and a drink, plus tip: $22. Just FYI: my co-worker disagrees. He thought it was the BEST SANDWICH HE'D EVER HAD. So, yes, go give them a try, but bring a beach towel for clean up.

By that I mean Tay's doesn't have niceties like an all-you-can-drink Bloody Mary bar. Frankly, I'm not even sure Tay has a liquor license. I've tried the Make My Tay with whichever jalapeno-infused jelly sounds good, 130 different times now. So I just order a jelly, and they figure the rest out. Actually, please make sure his sandwich has not been placed within 12" of a toaster and try not to glance at the toaster while you make it. So I guess that's a solid option if you are a child or have the palate of one. Our drink of choice is a glass of milk, because again I arrived at a preschool and ordered an upscale elementary school lunch; why not further relive my childhood with some cow juice? The sandwiches are paired with ruffles, or some chips of that sort. You get a generous helping, and the sammys are also substantial. The meals are not inexpensive, but I don't think the owner is making out like a bandit either; for my son and me, the total is around $25 including drinks. The dining area is quaint with four or five small tables and one larger one. The decor is...old west ghost town, maybe? It feels vaguely Old Spaghetti Factory-esque. A wall-sized window overlooks the shopping plaza and McCullough. Wholesome like...you'll get an enthusiastic "HAVE A BLESSED DAY!" on the way out. I don't even much care for blessed days, but for y'all I shall have one. And then we leave. As I meander down the stairs, somewhere around step five, the forcefield ends, and I am no longer in my Elementary School's cafeteria. And my Bat-Potato says, "Race you!"

Positive / negative / pro tip / recommendation for owner…read more Positive: Quality and simplicity over confusion. They made something simple taste so good and it reminds you of your childhood numerous options and very reasonably priced. I had the razz and it was delicious. It's so cost-effective my drink almost cost as much as the sandwich. Would absolutely come back. They are located on the second floor and a ton of parking options Negative: It's not really a negative aspect but there's limited seating because it's so popular Pro tip: It's great to grab and go because there's local parks nearby Recommendation for the owner: I was only in town for a few hours and I saw this on numerous reels. When I went to the website, I wish I would've seen a picture of the sandwiches.
