Sup-par is the best way to describe it. Prices aren't bad, but you get what you pay for. --- I started my review this way with two and a half stars, and left it incomplete. The day after I started to write that... my review changed to a zero star. Let me start off by saying that I intended to go to Sky Nails across the street. They were not busy and told me to come back in 2 hours and 45 minutes. No thanks. Got on Yelp, thanks to the wonderful invention called the iPhone. Found a four star place, which isn't bad in my book. So I asked for a pedicure with a paraffin wax.. To which they started with the pedi. The job itself was subpar and if you are looking for someone to paint your nails and literally just that, maybe this is the place for you. After my nails dried, it went downhill. The paraffin wax was quite strange. I didn't get why he did the wax after, since every time I get it done, it's always before the nail painting. But I digress. The wax machine thing was below the DVD or satellite player and a bunch of other things, so the man had to move all the stuff before he unearthed the device. He had me balance on one foot, as I dipped my foot in there and waited for the wax to cool, as he wrapped my foot in saran wrap. Normally, the wax is already in a plastic bag, which is placed around your foot, so no "double-dipping" encounters happen. I figured the wax was hot enough to melt bacteria.. Right?! Well, I guess I'd find out later. After this long ordeal, he peeled the wax off.. And oh wait. Here comes the nail polish too! Yes, the nail polish which he had JUST painted on had started to peel off and was insanely smudged. So the man did what he had to do... take off the nail polish, and repaint my toes. Here I am, stuck waiting another twenty minutes waiting for them to dry. Now here's the real kicker. A giant BUMP appeared on my big toe, right where he cut my cuticle. Yes ladies (and gentlemen), a massive blister-like bump appeared on my toe. It was gross and disgusting, and I felt bad that I had texted all my friends pictures of the scene of the crime. A few days later... the bump hardened up. It shrank, but it was still a bump... that was hard. It was NOT a blister- I've had a million of blisters, and I wasn't even wearing different/new shoes, or doing ANYTHING different to my feet. I don't go to the gym or even expose my feet in public places, ie wearing open toed shoes/sandals. I work in the luxury shoe business, so trust me, it is NOT me. Then, a few days after that., the hard bump turned BLACK. OH NO IT DIDN'T. Yes, again, I texted my friends pictures of my toe. Needless to say, they were totally grossed out. It shrank slightly from when it hardened... But it turned black. Then like two days later, I scraped it off because I couldn't even stand to look at my toes anymore. Luckily there was no pus during the entire situation. But this was just unhygienic and completely uncalled for. I've gotten pedicures from a variety of places.. Burke Williams to hole in the walls, and NO place has ever done this to me before. And now my toe has peeling skin around the affected area. So double-dipping, nail smudging, and most especially, toe deforming is just not for me. So here I am, telling you to stay away. Unless you like black bumps on your toe? read more

Used to be my favorite place to get my nails done, but now it's overcrowed, a bit overpriced, and they constantly have new people working, so the quality is varied. If I am going to spend $50 for a mani/peti I want it to be good. Is that too much to ask for? read more

Saw a flyer in the newspaper that they were having a special for $15 pedicures so I gave it a shot. Here was my experience: 1) walked in on a week day afternoon and a male (the owner) was sleeping and snoring less than 4 feet away from me in a hammock while I received my pedicure. 2) the woman doing my pedicure was more distracted with the Asian soap opera than giving me a good pedicure. 3) the place is old and outdated (including the nail polishes) 4) the pedicure lasted 20 minutes--which has its benefits and depending on what you are looking for... I get pedicures when I have time to relax and treat myself 5) when I was finished and went to pay, the woman took my debit card and before she could run it I said "I say your advertisement for $15 pedicures in the newspaper, it is $15 right?" She looked at me like she was pissed and just said "OH". 6) Finallly, what really encouraged me to review this place was my pedicure began to chip just 2 days after it was done. This is the place to go for medi/ pedi's! They do such a great job there and good prices. They have a Hugh selection of nail colors and the place is very clean. This place has been around for over 20 years and it's a husband and wife team. They never rush and do a excellent job! They just got new massage chairs and they are amazing. I am always happy with their work. Everyone should give it a try instead of going to these large nail salons that rush you and out. read more

OMG!!! I will never never never never never never never ever go to this nail facility again!!! First the greeting wasn't great...Instead of saying Hi how can I help you, its more like Yeah what you want!!! Second, the lady who did my nails isn't very talkative and more into watching t.v. while doing my nails. Third, there is a hammock in the salon where the other person who works there goes to sleep. I was suppose to get gel refills and it didn't turn out right. First while my nails are under the UV Light, she didn't let me leave it there for that long enough to at least let it dry and then when she realized it wasn't dry she wanted to leave it as is and not fix it. After a moment of telling her what was wrong, she finally fixed it, but still wasn't the best job ever. I will never go there ever and for those who gave the 4-5 stars...RETHINK and RELOOK at your nails to see it is to your satisfaction. Because once you walk out that door its DONE!! read more

$29 for a great pedicure but horrible manicure. My manicure didn't even last 24 hrs. On the flip side parking is easy.

Did a good job on refill for my acrylic nails. I called and the male owner said $19. When he finished he said $22. When I asked why the discrepancy, he said he didn't know I had a clear cover he had to remove (?). I think I might have considered returning IF it wasn't dirty and unsanitary. I have been going to this salon for 20+ years for acrylic fills and pedicures. They do a fabulous job. I cannot say enough about their quality of work. I moved five years ago and cannot find a salon in the area or nearby suburbs that is anywhere close to the type of work that this duo performs.
