Amazing! My coworker recommended me Jennie's Nails. So I decided to go for a visit. Not just any visit, my Wedding Manicure visit. Jennie was communicative and accommodating with my schedule and I talked to her ahead of time about her nail art. After hearing all the reviews about this hidden gem, I had to take a chance get my wedding nails done. I don't usually do nail art by the way. So for me to go here was a nice experience. I ended up with A deluxe pedicure #1 which included a hot stone massage for 10 mins. I arrived 10 mins early to my 6 pm appointment. This nail shop was busy but organized! It is a small shop but well put together! I was taken of well. The shop closed at 7 pm but Jennie was soooo nice and finish my nails by 8 pm ish. I made an appointment through Yelp and Jennie responded quickly for all my scheduling needs. I was found street parking fairly close and luckily didnt need to pay for parking. I was acknowledged and seated within 10 minutes. She let me know to lool at the books and pick a color. I love the catseye shimmer and asked if it was possible to get on my toes and my manicurist said yes. I opted for the option 1 pedicure spa. Loved the service. Gel x removal. They filed the nails so thin they left holes in my nails and had to cut them down much shorter. They weren't going to soak off the extensions at all. I said something, (because they filed my nails so thin there were holes in them) then they had me put my hand in a BOWL of acetone, and did not use foil wraps. My Nails are left incredibly thin and damaged. I would have been much better off taking the time to soak off the nails myself at home. read more

RESPONSE TO JENNIE: I'm not sure why you said I'm not being truthful because 1) I clearly stated I was refunded although I got the amount wrong 2) Said I didn't bother to get them fixed after I was told you only do acrylics and no gels I was thankful they were able to take me in on the day I called last minute. I was hoping to get Jennie but since she was busy, I had another tech work on my nails. The tech I had was very nice and gentle but her work was so so disappointing. Not sure where my previous review went, so I'm writing another one. Unless you're going to see Jennie for hard gel or gel X, AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! I came here months ago in July for a simple hard gel removal & regular gel manicure and left with painful, broken, brittle nails. The nail tech began by flipping my hand over and chopping my nails off aggressively like they were tree branches. One nail even broke! She kept filing my nails with an electric bit even after I complained several times of sharp burning pain. She even giggled once when I pulled my hand away, obviously not taking me seriously at all. Even after all the initial pain was over from the nail prep, the final gel manicure was extremely sloppy and poorly done. The UV lamp kept turning off which left me with a bumpy, bubbly, uneven MESS. I cried when I got to my car from the pain and frustration. Despite this terrible experience, I still tipped 20%. The nail tech didn't even make eye contact with me, thank me, or say goodbye. She was extremely rude during the entire process. To this day (mid-December), my nails have never been the same and I have not returned! My nails used to be so healthy and practically unbreakable, but now I can't even grow them out without them chipping. Please please PLEASE save your nails and go anywhere but here! read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this salon. From the start, I was made to feel like an inconvenience for simply asking questions about the services I was paying for. The staff was unwelcoming, dismissive, and treated me as though I was a burden rather than a client. Any time I would show a picture or ask how something would look they would look at each other and act as if they do not understand me. I paid $100 for a gel French tip manicure and pedicure, but the service I received was far from what was advertised or expected. I left with polish smeared on my fingertips and the backs of my nails, giving the impression I had been finger painting -- not the clean, professional finish I paid for. And I know my toe nail is crooked but I never had a salon literally draw a crooked line you didn't even try to make the illusion of a straight line, you just did a quick job. Additionally, the pedicure was incomplete. I did not receive the hot stone massage, paraffin wax treatment, or hot lotion massage that were supposed to be included. For the price I paid, the lack of care, attention to detail, and poor treatment are unacceptable. I do not recommend this salon based on the lack of professionalism, subpar service, and overall disrespectful attitude I encountered. I believe I am owed a refund or appropriate compensation for the experience. I would like a response from a manager regarding a solution for my visit. read more

Jennie, the owner, is very friendly and super accommodating - always answers the phone quickly and tries her best to get you in at your preferred time. I went in for a regular manicure and pedicure and made it clear--twice--that I only wanted regular polish. Despite that, the technician kept pushing gel. At first, I assumed it might be a language barrier, but while I was distracted, she pulled out the UV lamp and tried to apply gel polish anyway. When I questioned it, she claimed the color I chose (a simple off-white) required gel, which didn't feel honest--regular polish in that shade is easily available. After I declined again, she seemed annoyed and rushed through the rest of the service. She quickly clipped my nails and did not even file them, and they all felt rough and sharp. One even broke the next day. The other lady--who worked on my feet--did great though! But overall, I left a bit unhappy. If you're going in for regular polish, be prepared for them to push back hard on your choice. read more

I get it now. The reviews, the photos, the quality of work... everything is easily 5 stars. I've first stumbled upon Jennie's work on my Instagram explore page and while I have a reliable nail lady in my area, I was curious on who else was out there and reached out via Instagram for an appointment. I booked about 3 weeks in advance, but I'm sure you can come in day of and see if they're available. Or call the morning of to check because this Friday AM was packed and some people (without an appointment) were told to come back later in the day. Parking is somewhat easy. Their shop is along El Camino Real so parking is all on the streets and 2-hour limit but no need to pay. I did have to wait a bit after my appointment time for a seat, but I can't be mad with how many customers they had and continue to have after my appointment started. I opted for their gel x as it's a healthier choice for your nails and I had the best experience. I was worried it was going to be a long process with a late start, but the nail tech was efficient, had a steady hand, and brought my inspo to life. I'm a happy camper! Now I'm sad about moving away from San Bruno because Jennie's is *chef's kiss*. read more

It's a cozy spot off of El Camino, with 4 nail stations and 5 pedicure chairs. Jennie, the owner, greeted and sat me right away, and dove right into explaining the polygel fill process when I had questions. She not only clarified the procedure but we also discussed other artificial nail options that I might try. I expressed my appreciation for her patience with my bunch of questions and also the importance of good communication with your nail tech. She not only fixed the mess from the last place but also took the time to reshape and paint my nails with precision. My overall experience at Jennie's was top-notch, leaving me totally satisfied. Jennie's nails is about 45 minutes away from me but I scheduled an appt based off the recommendations of a coworker. I had hard gel done with French tips, which cost around $80. My manicure was done in a little under 40 minutes, which I was kind of surprised since it usually takes an hour. I was hoping that this was not a rushed job and that the nail tech was efficient. However, two weeks and two days later, my nail polish is already starting to bubble and lift. And upon closer examination, the French tip lines are uneven. This place left a lot to be desired considering how far away it was from me and how expensive it was too. I don't usually leave reviews on yelp, but I just wanted to share that I left feeling disappointed and sad from my appointment. I wanted to get dip powder to have my manicure last longer. As soon as I arrived I felt pressured and upsold to a gel overlay and I haven't gotten my nails done in a while and I wanted to treat myself.. I have been here before and it's a hit or miss sometimes and I'm okay with that I know it can't be perfect all the time and I do appreciate Jeannie taking me in day of. I just really don't like how thick the gel is on my nails they are already short now they look stubby.. I paid $67 dollars no massage, no hot towel, or lotio and she cut my cuticles when my hands were dry and nicked me and my nails were filed uneven .. I didn't notice til I got home that I was bleeding. I'm not sure I'll be back since I just feel over all just sad and a bit robbed of a relaxing experience. read more
