Moving from the east bay where I have my normal tech who helps me on time is so hard. This is my 4th visit at Vogue. I love their pedicures not so much their shaping of the toes though. Their basic acrylics are good stay for a long time and don't lift. Their designs are not as great as I'm used to so I tend to get a basic set, cat eye, French, simple. Today I called at 940am and spoke to a woman, asked to schedule an appt for a pedicure and to remove my nails and get a new set. I asked her what time she had available. She said come in at 1015. I arrived at 1022am and was asked by a gentlemen to have a seat in the waiting area. Two additional ladies came in after me. The last lady that came in got sat first because she requested "holly". Then they sat me down in the pedicure section. They had me wait in that cold ass the water on my feet till 1107. When a third lady comes in gets seated and gets helped before me. At this point a lady came in and said you want to do a soak off? Should have been started when I walked in. At 11:10am I got frustrated by three different ladies being helped well before me even though I arrived before all and had an appt they scheduled at 1015. I don't know about you but time is money and I really dislike when people play with my time. I schedule appts accordingly and expect to be helped on time. I even understand a few mins late but almost and hour for pruney toes and to snap long nails off is ridiculous. read more

[Update] - while I appreciate Lien's response to my review below, I will absolutely not step foot in this establishment again, nor will my family and friends who have also been clients for years. I genuinely hope my experience prompts the staff to revisit and improve their training on basic sanitation practices, customer service, and quality standards. Review from 10/19/2025: Avoid this place at all costs. I had an absolutely awful experience this weekend and want to make sure no one else goes through the same thing. I came in on a Saturday morning asking for short Gel-X nails and received the complete opposite. Each time I tried to speak up, the nail tech at station #4 gave me attitude. I eventually gave up and let her finish just to get out of there, but arranged to come back the next morning to have them fixed. The front desk staff were kind and apologetic, which I appreciated. When I returned the next day, I was shocked to be seated with the same tech (again, AVOID station #4) who had done the bad set. From the start, she was visibly annoyed. She clipped my nails roughly, then began filing them so aggressively that she severely cut into the inner part of my nail hard enough that it started bleeding heavily. Whether intentional or not, her carelessness and attitude made the situation feel unsafe. To make matters worse, I highly doubt the bloody buffing block that caused my cut was discarded afterwards. I've never seen any of the techs here use freshly sanitized tools between clients, which is extremely concerning. The front desk apologized again and offered a bandage, but I left immediately to properly clean the wound. I've since filed a formal complaint with the Board of Cosmetology and am exploring other ways to report the incident. Please, do yourself a favor -- stay away from this salon. Sad to have similar experiences as other customers. The nail tech aggressively was cutting my toe nails and she gave me a deep cut on my big toe. She used this blue medicine but the dropper touched the open wound which im sure has touched other peoples wounds. So disgusting. It been a week since my pedicure and my big toe is still in pain and is now infected. I've taken progress pics of it to show how bad it was but I don't want disgust you all. I will also be calling the board of cosmetology for the unsanitary EVERYTHING at vogue. Don't come here. read more

Where do I start . For starters they always say they have time for you but they will sit you in the pedicure water for 30+ min. I made an appointment with someone specific and brought my friend in too( with appt). Somehow she completed her full set of gel nails before I could even get tend to. No one acknowledged me and said it'll be a wait or anything! If you don't mind being rushed out of the chair asap then this is your place but personally I like when they take their time on the nails and actually do what their services are. Sometimes I get a hand massage other times they don't even bother! Another thing is their prices change EVERYTIME even if you get the SAME thing. I've been going here for years and they actually do a really great job! I finally found a material that works really well with my nails (tap gel, a hybrid between gel and acrylic), and it lasts a really long time without peeling up. Jenny is my absolute favorite! She is great at what she does and always gets the design and shape perfect! The gentlemen who manages the salon is always super sweet and accommodating. After my review I posted previously, I had a horrible experience that now after a year, I'll never go back. Supposedly the older ladies name is Anne and she was the most rude and uneducated out of all the 8-10 gals I've had work on my nails here. She didn't admit to me that my nail inspiration photo wasn't within her experience and was so passive aggressive throughout getting my fill and when I told her politely after she did 1 of my nails with the design, I didn't like it and wanted to do a simple black French tip design instead to make it easier for her, she was so rude and upset that I wanted to change my design even though she only did 1 nail. The way she raised her voice and talked to me was so beyond unprofessional and rude, I thought the man at the front would say something to her or any of her co-workers and they all just stared and then continued working. My friend was also getting her nails done and when she was finished she complimented my nails and asked me why I changed my design, I explained to my friend I just wanted something different so I didn't offend the nail lady, but SHE THEN YELLED AT MY FRIEND! I yelled at her at this point and was telling her to not speak to her or myself in that way and I told her to finish up so I could leave. The lady insisted I still get my pedicure and when I consistently said no, she got more upset and rude. I told the man at the front about my experience and after over a year going here I expected him to respond to me better but he said there wasn't anything he could do, HE COULDNT EVEN SPEAK TO HER ABOUT IT?? I like going here because you don't need an appointment. There is enough staff that the wait is usually reasonable. Occasionally, the person doing my service is new and just doesn't quite do a job the way that I would expect it to be done. I have to do some nudging to ensure that my pedicure doesn't have sharp corners or ingrown edges. The polish color selection is great, though. This is a definite case of some technicians are better than others and you have to hope you get someone good if you don't make an appointment with someone specific. read more

These people are so rude. I called at 4:15 to see if they had availability for a pedicure and gel nails today they told me to come in at 6:30. I arrived at 6:27pm and told the lady at the front desk that I had an appointment at 6:30 for my feet and hands. When the lady at the front desk finally took me to a pedicure chair she told me that the lady that was going to do my pedicure couldn't do my nails and did not offer if someone else was available. I sat in that pedicure chair for 30 minutes. And no one tended to me or told me that the person who was going to perform my pedicure was running behind. I finally told the lady at the front desk that I would like a towel so I could dry my feet so I can leave, because I had already been waiting 30 minutes. And I didn't understood why I had to wait so long if I booked an appointment. I told the lady at the front desk that if they were too busy they should have told me that they couldn't accommodate me. When the lady at the front desk came with the towel I asked her for she threw it at me. Unfortunately I lost my shit and told her the off. Who in the hell does this lady think she is!? This place never ever made me feel at home so I won't miss not going back. Oh and on top of it all the lady at the front desk called the cops on me because I was upset. Got my nails done here a couple times, was satisfied. It wasn't until now when I decided to write a review. I got a pedicure and I didn't tip the lady who did it because she was more on the rough side. The lady in the front asked if I wanted to tip her too. When she trimmed my cuticles I told her that it hurt and she said sorry, before that she was removing my old gel and I guess the drill power was too high and that also hurt my toe as well. I should have said something. I got the basic $30 pedicure with regular polish and a massage, which lasted only 3 minutes...? She put lotion and oil on my legs, lightly rubs it, then pinches my toes and then the hot towel was on? Anyways, got a full set, I wanted a design but she said it would cost $90... definitely don't think it was worth it. The way she did my French tips tells me she wouldn't have done the design how I wanted it. I ended up just doing French tips which I think are $70. It's always pretty busy when I go there but I did call ahead and basically did a walk in, I was seated immediately but I did wait maybe 5-10 minutes before someone started on my pedicure. I wish I can give this zero stars. I have been coming to Vogue Nail Spa for almost 10 years, and I am not coming here anymore. I had a very poor service experience and am very disappointed. I brought my mother here, and she had an infection on her finger from the manicure they did for her. We came back two weeks later and told them about the infection, and they refused to admit to their wrong-doing. There is no other way she could have gotten the infection, other than from the uncleanliness from this nail salon. On the other hand, I came in for a manicure service, cat eye builder gel. It wasn't until after I paid and left the salon, I noticed there were some specs of black under my nail color. I went back in to ask them to fix it, and the manager told me that I had to wait until my nail technician was finished with her service on another client she just started on. They made me wait over an hour. I asked if another nail technician can help me, or if the lady who did my nails could pause the service so she can fix her mistake, but he said no and that I have to wait. This is completely ridiculous and unprofessional. I will never support this business again. read more

It's fine, your standard nail salon. I like the look of pedicures but don't particularly like getting them as my feet are especially sensitive. The woman cleaning my cuticles pulled this long strip off the side of my big toe and tore off some skin. I definitely gave a big "ow" and pulled my foot away and she didn't acknowledge this. Then she put what was probably rubbing alcohol on my toes and that burned like the devil. Also got waxed and the woman would not stop trying to upsell my basic bikini wax to a Brazilian. I also noticed after I showered later that she missed a lot of leg hair on my lower legs. Very disappointing. Finally, when it was time to pay, they gave me the final number which was more than I expected and yup, the waxing services were more than listed because she did "extra" even though I specifically asked her not to. read more

DO NOT GET GEL X HERE! i came in for gel nails, i wanted short almond nails, i originally agreed to acrylic but the nail tech suggested gel x. i've never gotten them before so i was a bit skeptical and now am very disappointed. i dont believe the gel under the nail was applied correctly, it's super thick creating a HUGE separation between the nail bed and the 'fake' nail, still being able to see and feel the tip of my fingertips. the thick layer also make me feel like they're going to fall off easily since they're already damn near off my nail. you're also able to see thru the nail and the color. my friend got acrylics and hers came out perfect. i also got my toes done the same color and they came out perfect. i think the lady suggested we do gel x to save time but not for better quality. they look and feel very cheap and i paid almost $60 for them. ive gotten $10 press ons for better. read more

This place has fallen off so bad! Unless you're a regular that spends over $100 dollars not expect to get treated with respect. My niece took my daughter to get a regular polish manicure for Christmas and they kept trying to force my niece to get acrylic on my 8 and 10 year old ! Kept insisting that if they got their nails done they would HAVE TO GET ACRYLICS. It wasn't until my niece told them ok then they won't be getting their nails done that they started singing a different tune. This was my first time here and I will never go back. I went because I needed my acrylics removed and this location was convenient and seemed to have solid reviews. In addition to having my acrylic nails removed I had a gel manicure. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. It was up there with bad dentist appointments in the early 90s. I'd never had acrylic nails before, so, of course, this was my first time having them removed. The nail tech was obviously in a hurry and was rushing because of the number of people in the salon. She proceeded to rip the acrylics off and it was incredibly painful. I wasn't sure if this is how acrylics are usually removed, so while I was surprised, I went with it. The tech said it hurt so much because my nail beds are thin. She had a hard time get my gel polish applied correctly and even peeled the gel off an entire nail, risking damaging the nail, before I could stop her. The UV drying machine burned. I've never had it burn before. After I left, I realized the polish is lumpy on several nails, most notably my left thumb. I didn't go back to get my lumps fixed because I wasn't confident my manicure would be done properly. Three hours later, the polish was chipping on my right forefinger. Five hours later, polish started chipping on my right thumb. I checked in with a couple of nail techs I know. They said removing the acrylics should not hurt and shouldn't have been ripped off as they were--this could seriously damage the nail. They also said the excuse about my nail bed being thin isn't accurate. Finally, they said the UV machine shouldn't burn and is probably a result of using too much gel or damaged nails from how the acrylics were removed. While it's possible there might be skilled nail techs here, I can't recommend risking a visit. Edit: 24 hours later, the gel polish on my left pointer finger is peeling, read more

I was assigned to Van, table #9. She asked me what i wanted and began to work. I was getting my gel french manicure redone. She did an excellent job. She quickly ground Down the old gel, applied gel remover, and quickly removed all the old polish. She asked me what length and how i wanted my nails done. She did a superb job. She trimmed my cuticles , soaked my fingers. This will absolutely be my go-to place for future manicures. I had a gel french done in Petaluma and one done on Castro St in SF and Vogue is by far my favorite. read more

Almost every nail artist I got paired with was not only professional but also kind and asked along the process if I liked how my nails were looking. This past week I got paired up with a lady who not only made my nails look thick and uneven but even did poor design work and refused to paint the nails twice for a cohesive look. I asked her to redo 2 of the nails and she huffed and puffed like it was an inconvenience to her to redo the nails that I was paying for. Not only did she thin out the nails so much to redo that one of those nails started lifting and I asked her if she could fix it, she said "no. It's fine. It's not lifting."
