I checked this place out because it's right near my house, and honestly, it wasn't bad at all. I'm pretty picky with pedicures, but based on my experience, I was happy with how it went. I just went with regular polish and didn't feel rushed. The pricing was fair, it was **$35**, so I paid **$42** after the tip. They were kind and worked quickly, which I appreciated. They did exactly what I asked and cut the nails short, though they went with a square shape since I didn't specify (next time I'll just make sure to ask for a different shape). I was also really glad they didn't use a nail drill to clean my nails. Since this wasn't a dry pedicure, a drill didn't seem necessary anyway, especially given the condition of my toenails at the time. They did a great job prepping them for the color without over-tooling. I do wish they had dug in just a bit more on the cuticle prep because of a slight ingrown, but I realize that's more of a podiatrist's territory than a salon's. Overall, it's a solid, convenient spot with fair pricing. I'll definitely be back, but again, this is just based on my personal experience. read more

I'm impressed by their customer service and reasonable prices here. I've had my gel manicure and pedicure for over a month (next appointment already scheduled), and my nails haven't chipped even once. The place is clean and the nail techs are friendly. I'm glad they're one of the few places that still have magazines that I can read while I'm getting a pedicure. I have been looking for a new nail salon that I want to consistently go to without getting cut on my feet when my nails are trimmed and I think I've found the place. read more

Been going here for a few years. Service was great until today. The woman (whom) I've never seen before tried to rip me off. She tried to overcharge me $10, after I tipped the guy who did my nails $20. I will not return and it is sad because I loved the old staff. Also the guys was too rough and he applied way too much acrylic. This woman is not honest and will try to overcharge you if you let her. She tried to lie and when I caught her in the lie, she decided to "do the right thing". read more

Amazing service and nails, I had Tran and she was very sweet and worked very efficiently, the nails came out so pretty and looked so beautiful. The service was fast and the quality is very good. I highly recommend going here read more

I came to this nail salon as soon as they opened which was nice bc they were able to see me right away. I got a gel pedi & a full set. I'm so sad I wasn't able to get the nail tech's name, but I'm pretty sure it was the owner who helped me. She was very fast & efficient with her work & constantly made sure that I was happy with the shape & design. I also appreciated how all the staff greet their clients immediately when they walk in & are attentive. This place does get busy - not even 30 min had gone by & there were already so many people walking through the door. I think making an appointment would be most useful since their foot traffic is pretty high. Overall I am happy with the service & the way my nails turned out! Thanks Golden Nails! I'll be coming back. read more

I'm from Jackson Ms and I must say this is the BEST NAIL SPA I've been to since I've arrived in the Bay Area. Ms. Helen and Ms. Lana both are extremely kind and such beautiful humans! I didn't even have to repeat myself about my pedicure and my dip set on my natural nails. They truly care about customer service , NOT JUST MONEY . I've found my NEW NAIL HOME! read more

Since the pandemic hit, this fav nail spot of mine has been struggling. I'm posting a new review to help bring their business back to life! The team really took it upon themselves to ramp up for reopening. Their set-up is very clean with barricades in place to ensure social-distancing. Everyone is required to wear a mask & the main room is well-ventilated. (Note: They offer waxing services in a private room). I love how they include fresh lemon slices in the hand & feet soak. They also wrap the foot tub with a new plastic liner for every customer. Their lotions are never too strong & their warm towel wipe-down of the arms (manicure) & legs (pedicure) is the best! Helen is by far my person for all things nails! She shapes mine in either almond or round depending on length. So talented! FYI: Their prices had to jump a bit to make up for their losses, but all in all still my go-to since it checks off all my boxes: Clean, Courteous, Convenient & Consistent! Currently: - Regular Manicure ($15) - Gel Manicure ($35) - Spa Pedicure ($25) read more

The twins that run this spot are the best ones to do your nails no matter how many times I've been there- I always ask for one of the twins

This is one of the rare instances where I left a salon and my nails looked worst than when I walked in. I walked out with cuts, loose cuticle skin, and an uncomfortable experience. I hope the owners read this review because there is room for improvement. This is the second time I've walked out of here with painful cuts. The nail techs are rough and I understand bleeding may happen, but at least acknowledge it and apologize. My tech just looked at it and kept going, didn't even clean it up. The pedicure was so rough that I felt stressed instead of relaxed. I have been here 3 times and really wanted to like this spot. I had a plain mani and pedi, it cost $60. I left with uneven nails and shredded skin around my cuticles. I had to break out my own nail tools and fix it myself when I got home. I'm very disappointed and hope this spot can make some much needed improvements read more

These ladies squeezed me in at the last second and were able to service both an acrylic full set and pedicure, both for a great price. It's now been over 2 weeks later and my nails are still on and secured. This company deserves so much more credit and better reviews. There are companies nearby with better reviews who charge insane amounts and they don't last nearly as long. read more

Billy did a great job with my nails! Very clean and neat. Services I had done were pedicure and manicure. Staff are also very friendly.

Walked in with my roommate and took 5 minutes before anyone even realized we were there. We both were seated and got pedicures. My roommate didn't want the massage that came with it but they still proceeded to do it. The lady who did my toes cut my nails too short it was to the skin and then proceeded to use the nail file drill on my skin because my nail was so short. was very unhappy with this service and won't be back. read more

Helen is my go to person!! Very attentive to details and love love how she does my nails!!

I had a great experience here, I've been going to different nail salons to find the right one. It had been awhile since I got my nails done due to a really bad experience and injury during a pedicure. Helen did my pedicure and was very gentle and I just took off gel polish and got a pedicure with no polish. It was $20 and then on my manicure was done by Kristy, she also was really good and for my gel glitter French tip on my natural nails it was $63. So total was $83 and I gave a $10 tip. I paid cash but they take Visa. It was a great deal. It was clean and I loved they put fruit in the water for your toes and hands. I definitely will be back! Thank you ladies! read more

My mom always comes here to get her nails done and I come here now and then, however just recently I came here last minute after a nail tech at another place cancelled on me the day before my brother's wedding. I needed a full set and Lana was able to take me. I had gotten a pedicure somewhere else in the morning and the nail polish already got messed up. I waited less than 5 minutes and she took me right away. She always remembers me when I come in even though I don't always come here to get my nails done. She is really quick and she shaped my nails really well. She even fixed my toe nail polish. She knew it was my brother's wedding the next day and said I had to look perfect. Definitely will be coming back here again. Thanks Lana! read more

Got my nails and toes done here. They cut all of my toe nails totally crooked and I ignored me when I asked to have them cut straight. Got a gel French manicure on my acrylic nails. She couldn't control the drill very well and nicked my skin several times. A few days later my French manicure turned grey and went back to have it fixed and they wanted me to pay more money to have them fixed. Keep in mind that I just spent over a $100 and tipped them... Let them know that they lost a customer. They didn't even care At all. Really disappointed. Found out later that if they use old gel nail Colors that they can change colors. They acted as if I did something wrong. read more

If you want a SPA experience - don't go here. If you want quick, no chit chat, in and out service for good price - come here! I love that the crew here doesn't try to chit chat too much. It's a quick "hello/hi" - "how are you, my name is X,Y" and then done. Thank you ladies of Golden Nails for not small talking too much! I sometimes dread the nicer places because they want to talk so much to make sure you're having a good experience but I find that kind of draining. It's work! When I sit and get a quick pedi or mani ,I do not want to chit chat - I want to relax, chill, read some crappy magazine, watch some wheel of fortune or whatever is on the tv, scroll through my phone etc. I actually love when Wheel of Fortune is on the tv here - it seems to be a trend for me. I rarely watch Wheel of Fortune at home, but it just so happens to be on tv when I come get a pedi that it's so relaxing for me. I feel like I'm pretty good at Wheel of Fortune. I know this isn't a review for that show but it's actually very big reason why I like this place lol. Anyways, it's cheap - quick - not the newest equipment, nail polishes or anything but it gets the job done. I like that they really go in on your cuticles for the pedicure. And oh yea, wheel of fortune!!! read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. I mainly despise how they do not honor any type of appointments whatsoever. You can call and make an appointment, but when you get there, you would still have to wait. If you do a drop in, they will say a certain time to wait, but the time doubles. However, there are times when they are on time, but rarely. I keep coming back to this place because they are still the cheapest nail shop in town that live up to my standards in doing nails. Since I'm a regular, they already know what I like and don't like which make visits more comfortable. Although, they don't talk much, when they do, they're pretty nice. Overall, I'm happy with their services. read more

It was my first time at Golden Nails and I have to say I'm impressed. The lady did a nice job on my nails making them thin and square. My eyebrows look so natural, I really gave to say I was skeptical at first. I used to go to mission for something cheaper but I live in daly city. I guess I found a new place closer to home! Pro's: neat and tidy, not too crowded and I didn't feel rushed but still was pretty fast. Con's : the waxing bed was kind of dirty and the lady painted my nails before grabbing payment which caused me to nick the color a little. Overall, I will be coming back. read more

2 words to describe my mani-pedi experience here PAIN & PLEASURE! My first time visiting this nail salon was on a Saturday night. I came in half an hour before closing time and was happy to see an almost empty nail shop with lush seating and friendly staff. Besides the salon being clean and lush I wasn't too happy with my pedicure experience. I thought pedicures were suppose to be relaxing and enjoyable, but Tina made that experience impossible for me. She was extremely rough with my feet and and when I mentioned to her that I was in pain she'd just smile and insist on easing up on the force. I did love the sea salt scrub that came with the pedicure as well as the hot towel they used. After leaving the salon with a tingling scratch on my big toe and a B+ gel manicure I will be returning to the salon based on convenience. The salon is just a 3 minute uber drive from my house and no appointment is necessary. If Tina isn't doing my pedicure the next time I'd definitely rate this place with 5 stars. read more

Been coming here for like 5+ years already! No complaints! They're the best! 10 fingernails and 10 toenails UP!!!

Long wait, had to wait 1.5 hours just for a simple pedi. They can't even cut my cuticles without making me bleed either. UPDATE: my nails on one of my feet weren't filed, and she rushed through my treatment. Also, painting is uneven and spotty. Used to come here all the time but now I don't even recommend it. So far so bad my mom and I walk in and there's no one here so we are seated immediately. The lady (I didn't catch her name) asks what I want so I tell her at which point she says "ok I'll be back" and walks out the door. Fast forward about 10 minutes she walks back in and asks me again as if she (Lana) didn't just see me what I want. There's one other customer in here trying to get her to not do my nails so that her husband can get a mani-pedi for his birthday...uh, not my issue lady. So, Lana starts my nails she seems like she's working toward redemption and then... she cuts me, twice! I start to wonder how many other people have been cut by this drill? Unsanitary! How do you manage to make my nails smooth and bumpy all at the same time? So they are finally polished and I'm just ready to go. My moms nails done by Kim aren't much better. There's a bump in the middle and a slope at the tip. My eyebrows came out Ok but needless to say I won't be back. read more

Such an amazing place to get pedicures..AMAZING..not to mention that it is incredibly cheap! Salon is situated by In and Out Burger in Daly City. Parking is hard to find, but i prefer parking on the streets...much easier! When you walk in, there are several spa pedicure stations. Here they offer a spa pedicure for $16, plus another $5 if you want french tip. This is such a great deal compared to a regular pedicure for $25. They do the usual... clean and groom your toes, and also give you an amazing rub down. I also get my eyebrows waxed here. Kim is the best. She actually knows what i like and how i like my eye brows to be done. They also do cute nail designs that aren't too cheesy looking... read more

Eeek! Methinks not!!! After this experience, I learned to not double dip (ha ha) and switch back and forth between places. BFM! (Big F'in Mistake) on my part. I am wondering if i should schedule an appointment with my gyno now just so he can check to see if all my lady parts are still okay ... I strayed from my usuals (Stript Wax Bar in the city or Kim's Perfect Skin in Burlingame) due to convenience and an effort to be more frugal with my monthly beauty maintenance and ended up here. There's not much to write about a brazilian gone wrong... so I'll spare you the details. I have to give her points for using tweezers to pluck the strays but there shouldn't have been any strays in the first place, especially since she must have waxed me a dozen times!! OMG. I'm not even that hairy and the hairs are somewhat fine. Sigh. I really like her but will not be letting her come anywhere near my vayjayjay again. read more
