This isn't really a spa-like, relaxing place, but don't let that scare you because they do a great job and the prices are really good for the SF area. A regular gel manicure (no design) is $30. They schedule the old-school way (on paper), so you'll need to call to make an appointment. Hannah is usually the one taking all the phone calls, even while she's working on your nails! This nail salon is located upstairs in a plaza with ample parking. If you're looking for somewhere to get your nails done for cheap then it's the perfect place. One lady who was getting a basic pedicure paid only about $25 before tip. They can do designs fairly well but I personally think that the nail itself comes out looking a bit chunky at the top given how many coats of gel that they layer on. It's not a place you really go for a spoil yourself spa experience but more so get your maintenance done. I would comment on the cleanliness of the place as I didn't see them cleaning their tools between clients. They also get a little too deep into your cuticles so my nail tech ended up cutting my skin. Came here yesterday asking for sheer pink natural gel nails and a regular pedi with a neutral polish. Service was straight to the point and staff were kind. I appreciate how fluid the workflow was. After leaving the salon and looking at my nails all day today, I ended up coming in for a color change. The color the staff suggested wasn't as sheer as I wanted it. This time I had an inspo pic so the staff had a better idea of what I wanted. I suggested maybe two layers clear and one layer of pink (she used a different pink than the first time)--it turned out great, however on the whiter side, but I like it so much better than what it was before (solid pink). I found this spot in Brisbane as I was looking for salons that special in gel-x for an affordable price. This salon is located in the main plaza of Brisbane and I love that I don't have to fight for parking in the city. A friend of a friend knew about this place and I finally went today! They're out of SF in Brisbane but it was well worth the short drive for the unbeatable prices. The nail techs were all very nice and did their best to make us feel very comfortable. We booked 2 nail appointments with Hannah, my friend went with her and I got another equally qualified technician. They even accommodated me getting an impromptu pedicure even though we didn't book that one ahead of time. I showed her a reference photo of some jelly nails I wanted and she did a great job getting it as similar as she could! I love my nails soooo much, they look really cute as you can see in the pictures. My manicure, with jelly polish and gel finish AND designs was only $40. An absolutely incredible price. TLDR - no frills nail place but good service and affordable! Came here on a whim since my friend mentioned a good place in Brisbane but didn't share the name of the place Called today for a same day appt and locked in 6pm and didn't realize they close at 6 until I arrived :( (to which they were still opened) I had to wait 30 mins - which I don't believe it's the nail techs fault, the folks before were a bit indecisive and the nail techs wants to be sure they leave happy (the beginning of my observation of their service) I had my my nails done in Korea with some nail art a month before and needed them off and shorten, but I had bad experiences with places filing into my nail bed which made them even weaker. I requested Sarah after reading that she takes care of the nail and this is ABSOLUTELY true. She took awhile removing my gel nails and being very careful not going too deep. She did leave some former gel which I was fine with The filing could be better, I don't think it's quite even still and I didn't my cuticles cut, but she still did a little cleaning with her cutter (which I didn't see her pull from the sanitizing station, she did an okay job pushing back the cuticles I saw the cat eye options and opted for cat eye between 2 colors and Sarah tested both for me to see. She did 2 coats of base which could be due to my nail with the leftover gel but I'm not 100% into it cuz it made it look thicker. All in all, it was about 5 coats, maybe it's the cat eye but it looks a bit thick to me Overall, I finished by 7:30 so all in all, the whole service was about an hour. No hand massage which I don't care for cuz I was hungry lol $35 for cat eye gel, they do take card or Zelle (no venmo) Tip for folks - please don't skim on tips! I know it's subjective but this place is affordable so 15-20% for tip is like 4-6 bucks but if they're above and beyond, a little more isn't that much. When you first walk it it's kind of jarring. It looks less ideal for a nail salon BUT LOOKS ARE DECEIVING. Everyone is super friendly and the workers are very nice. To the person or people who might come in and say: oh the workers are rude, I did not get that impression at all. They have an accent that might sound aggressive and are straight forward, because this is a business and things need to get running. I do not speak the language they were speaking (which was probably thai??) but they started talking to each other while doing my nails and then my nail technician told me what they were talking about - which was very nice of her. She didn't have to but I thought that was very inclusive of her to do. I made an appointment for Saturday at 1pm and when we went in, we were instructed to wash our hands and pick our colors from the colors they had on a ring. We only had to wait about 5 minutes after our appointment time for us to get started. Each of their workers were busy/had customers. Pedi: Consistent of soaking your feet in warm water, cuticle care, washing your feet, filing(?) your foot "let's see how ticklish you are!", and a quick hot stone massage. I got regular nail polish for my pedi but my friend got a gel pedi. Don't worry too much about the drying process as they have a warm air/heater where you can put your feet in to dry the polish faster (they will also do this with your hand as well if you do not choose gel). The coloring and shaping of my feet was great. I just chose a simple color and I have never gotten the cuticles on my toes trimmed. It was not painful, not really ticklish, and was overall a great experience. Mani: I decided not to go with gel here. Which I am aware is unusual, I like to paint and decorate my nails weekly myself so honestly, going out to have them done doesn't really do much. I was looking into designs that I would not be able to do myself but was informed that if I wanted to do a design, I would have to do gel, since regular polish takes too long to dry to be doing layers for designs. I understood that and so I just went with a plain color - which I'm not mad about. I rarely just do a solid color (I did two colors) and I came back to appreciating the simplicity of it. There's a few things to note, I got kind of impatient with the drying and went into my purse to dig for cash until I realized that I wasn't careful enough and I dented like two fingers lol. I also noticed that they didn't cap my nails off, so you can kind of see the tips of the white of my nails after about a day or two. In all honesty, doing a regular mani with no gel isn't really worth it, especially for me since I have all the tools really at home. But I really came for the experience and the nail care. I love the shape they turned out to be and the length (I went in with decently long nails already). So am I paying for the color? Yes but I am more so paying for the nail refresh. Payment: For a regular mani and pedi, it's $50. I believe they take credit card (I think I saw some people pay with credit card) but I believe cash is preferred. I later gave my cash and tip to my nail technician later (as my fingernails took longer to dry). read more

The first time I came to get my nails done was for my wedding. I showed Lynn an inspiration picture of an ombré manicure and she said she'll try her best to replicate it. I believe she said that ombré is usually achieved using dip powder. I had the hardest time deciding on which pink to use so I pointed to a shade I thought would look best. She said "are you sure?" and swatched that color on my nail which came out too vibrant. Lynn went to look for a new pink OPI color which we ended up using on my nails. She started filing/shaping my nails, pushed back/cut my cuticles, and painted my nails. Lynn kept complimenting on how good my natural nails looked with the gel ombré. I love this place! I am so picky when it comes to both my full set manicures and pedicures. I had been searching for a nail salon for a while and never thought to try this place that is right down the street from my house. I called same day and was able to get an appointment within a few hours for a full set and pedicure. I requested Hannah as she specifically had great reviews. She is the one who did my GelX full set. I needed a short natural set (which I've noticed seems to be hard for most people) but I gave Hannah very little direction and she definitely delivered. She listened to me and was happy to change anything I didn't like, but she killed it so I didn't even need to correct her. It was also a lovely atmosphere, the nail techs make you feel very welcomed! Although if you're looking for a relaxing pamper style nail salon, this probably isn't the place. Their pedicure chairs aren't the best, but that doesn't bother me. Also their prices are beyond reasonable. I paid $40 for a French pedicure (unheard of for me I have paid $55+ in the past). And $40 for a full GelX set, awesome! That's pretty impressive considering that I work in the medical field where I am constantly putting on and taking off gloves and washing my hands frequently.
