Between sending things out and processing returns, I've become a frequent flier of the USPS. Unfortunately, this does not mean I'm an expert. In fact, it's usually a stressful game attempting to gather all of the items I need before my turn at the counter only to find I've forgotten a component or was overall ill informed, replayed over and over and over again. My previous USPS was incredibly accommodating in these moments, providing the proper box or labeling etc, at no charge, so I was a little nervous to adopt a new USPS when moving to Cypress. While the holiday season brings nothing short of a stressful few months for anyone working or visiting this spot, the crew here has been surprising patient. Don't get me wrong, they're not "nice", but they're patient. They will help you out, they will give you the correct information to get the job done. Will any anxious person still feel like they're being an inconvenience, no matter how prepared they arrive? Yes. However, I look at that as part of the game. Absolute. Dumpster fire. Days after Xmas. Line is out the door. 2 people working from what I can tell. Didn't hold high hopes. That would like expecting H3ll to have an ice bath machine. Stood in line for a solid hr. Fun part!!! The package pickup paper where they told me I need to pick up, clearly printed on the paper, was the wrong location. Yes, I Know post offices are not known to be exceptionally fast or even know for good customer service, however this particular post office is beyond bad. We moved back in June, it's now November and we still do not have a mail box key, so if we want to get our mail be have to drive 15 minutes to wait in an hour long line to collect it. There were about 3 workers in the front area and far more customers than that. 3 workers on a Saturday is just unacceptable. There was a guy making comments and complaining which were valid, the manager then yells at the guy he can stop complaining or he can leave. Hmmm last time I checked we still live in a free speech country right? This was completely uncalled for and unprofessional, now I see why this particular branch is trash. I shipped all of my hand-made (knitted, crocheted, sewn) Christmas gifts in late November, and the tracking number showed they would be delivered by December 2nd. It is now December 8th and they have not arrived. The tracking number has said the package is "in transit" for the past 4 days. The gifts are irreplaceable because they were made by hand, and with love, for my family. I will no longer use the USPS - they are incompetent and mismanaged. If I could rate it a 0, I would. I wish I read her name before I left enraged, but after waiting patiently in line (not realizing different post offices close at different times? my fault) -- I explicitly hear her say "remember any time you're here to drop off prepaid packages, tape is free". I finally get up to the next spot in line after who she's currently helping; in the middle of her conversation with her current customer, she says to me "ma'am are you shipping that package" I said yes (but it's prepaid, I have a label for it) and she said "needs to be taped before I can handle it". I look over to a spot I saw a couple taping their boxes, and there's no tape. I said "you don't have free tape like you mentioned?" she said "nope we have tape for sale here". Perfect. I paid and it's been 3 months and still no key. In the meantime I have to drive 10 miles from my house to check my mail. I went today and they don't know where my mail is. Being busy is one thing, but posting false quick lane hours and being rude to customers is another, all choices. Says 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM for the quick lane, at 9:00 when the main post office opens, they're not even open by a mile u til people start piling up by 9:20. Not only that, the sweet post office lady will roll her eyes at you if you ask when it will be open and demand you don't wait in the normal post office line if you've been waiting in the quick lane line, even though it's still closed, with no tact or friendliness. I would put 0 star if I could. RECURRING problem with delivery ... wrong mails in mailbox, packages lost ... not just 1 but several in few weeks!!!! The latest one: last Tuesday, I had a package showing delivered... within 1 min I was at the mailbox. The USPS lady was still there putting mails in the boxes, so I waited till she finished and checked my mailbox: no package! I asked her as she was still in the street and she stated no package for your address (although my tracking was showing delivered). She was totally UNPROFESSIONAL and a LIAR. She pretended there was no package although she knew she had randomly delivered it to a wrong place and did not want to admit it! She would have had plenty of time to get the package back and deliver it to me. but was too lazy to do so... This is just UNACCEPTABLE. I filed a complaint online, after 3 days they called and said it was delivered!!! Total bullshit and waste of time.... then they advised to tell shipper to file a claim!!! The WORSE customer service and there's some criminal activities going on there. I built a home in Cypress a few months ago, the first month I received mail. 2nd and 3rd month no mail. I start receiving emails about late payments on Water, Gas bills, missing Bank Statements, Vehicle Registration missing. I had to call Postal Inspector because the actual post office staff would not help me recover my mail. Guess what? After contacting POSTAL INSPECTOR I received a call from post office Manager and then a few days later 2 months of mail was stuffed in my mailbox. No reasonable reason they just suddenly found my mail after 2 months. No bank statements, no Vehicle Registration. The location should be investigated and they need new Management and employees. read more

I honestly cannot believe that I must write a review like this but the behavior that I witnessed yesterday at this location is totally unacceptable. While visiting this postal office a woman came in to retrieve a package. She waited in line with no issues and was called to the window when it was her turn. She showed the postal women a notice that she received that said her package was not delivered and it was to be picked up at this location. Before even asking for the tracking number the postal worker rudely snapped at her saying "we don't have it". After showing the notice and her id, the postal worker kept insisting that its not there, but she was so rude about it that it caught the attention of everyone in the office. The postal worker went to the back and less than 30 seconds later a male postal worker came out and just stared at the lady. Once the lady noticed it she politely said "Hello?", at this point she sounded very confused as was I. The male postal worker then yells at her "So you're the one who thinks she knows better than us?". He continued to verbally assault this woman for absolutely no reason while she stood there confused. I'm not sure what the other postal worker told him, but he came out ready to attack the customer for no reason at all. I'm not sure why they treated this woman like that but she was nothing but polite to them. After humiliating the women, the postal worker decides to look for the package and guess what? They had it the whole time. The women left the office and sat in her car, when I walked past, she was crying. I cannot believe how vile these postal workers were acting towards this customer who gave them nothing back courtesy. I'm literally disgusted at this behavior. read more

I absolutely hate this Post Office and I just moved here. I'm so worried due to the hundreds of complaints that I'll never receive my packages or mail. I needed to get a mail key, went to the post office twice. Stood in one line 30 min only to be told to stand in the other line. It was longer than the first, so I left. Came back earlier in the day thinking that was a better idea, again told to stand in a long line, waited and again told that THAT was the wrong line. this post office is a joke, my package said that it was delivered but when I went to check on my mail box, there was none. I went to the post office to check on it and the lady told me that it was lost after checking on the tracking number. She then told me to file a claim but this is ridiculous as this is my second package missing in a row. Somebody must be stealing packages. This needs to be looked into. read more

I have had a couple poor experiences at this location in the past, but I did not have much choice ( since fedex would not do PO Box delivery tracking). Firstly, one under-trained new staff caused a 15 person line up. Secondly, when it was my turn, I requested to verify the address he typed in their computer for a certified mail, the staff became very inpatient, and pitted other customers waiting in line against me, as I was making an unreasonable request. This is unacceptable behavior and very disrespectful. Update: The letter is going to downtown houston. it has been 7 days, and the registered mail is still "moving through network". I could have delivered the letter myself in one hour. read more

5 star for service, but of course a post office visit is generally a 2-3 star experience because of the wait. But that's just what you need to know to expect, especially coming in on the weekend. I came in to mail out a passport renewal, and my clerk triple checked that I had everything I needed included in my application. He helped advise on what envelope was needed, and was knowledgeable about the Passport Office's requirements like not sending anything folded. I know the USPS is not doing great but this one post office servicing what seems like damn near all of Cypress is inefficient. The workers are generally nice but the lines are too long. Package lines stay packed #pun and the regular lines are no better. Additionally, the PO box rates getting out of hand. My size 2 jumped from $50 to $68 after the 2nd year. I shopped around and it's crazy how prices jump around depending on location of the box. That's like Target charging $10 for a shirt in Houston but $15 for that same shirt in Pearland. My family and I are planning a trip to our homeland Bilbao, Spain for an entire month later this summer so I scheduled an appointment for my mother to come and apply for her U.S Passport. I've had my passport for several years now and I remember the Post Office having a specific Passport Office near the back of the building. I went to that back area just as I remembered, the door still labeled as the Passport office. I attempt to open the door and it was locked. I knocked on the door and I could see a person moving inside but they wouldn't open the door or acknowledge my presence. I walked to the front of the building and entered the post office, as I was walking in I could see that there was a small setup on a corner for Passports. I let an employee know that I had an appointment to apply for my passport and I was told to just wait in line with the rest of the crowd that was there to mail a card out or ship a package. What the hell is the point of an appointment if you're still going to ask me to wait in line with the rest of these people who are here to mail something out. Ticked me off a little bit but not as much as the dickhead that was preparing to help us. It was finally our turn to get helped. Post office employee, Javier, asked us to present our paperwork and our application. I asked him to be patient because my mother's English isn't great and that I would be assisting her throughout the entire process. His demeanor, the way he presented himself was not approachable at all. Not in an intimidating kind of way but more of an ASSHOLE kind of way. He asked if we needed to take photos and I said yes. He came around and asked my mother to come over to the white wall. I translated. My mother was standing behind the camera and Javier then rudely comments, 'You can smile you know'. That comment was really unnecessary. Do you ever see people smiling at the DMV/DPS? No. After the photos, he fills out the 'office personnel' section in the application and then asks us to sign the end of the application and provide payment. I called ahead of time to find out if they accepted credit cards as a form of payment. The person on the phone said absolutely. Turns out that was false. Cash or debit card only. I don't carry my debit card on me. EVER. My mother was fidgeting through her purse to see if she had her debit card on her, as we were looking for it Javier was annoyingly tapping his stupid pen on the counter while staring into open space. We were lucky enough to find a debit card in the purse, paid the dues and bounced the eff out. I know it's the post office and I should not expect much, but the employees attitude, finding the right area for passports, the unnecessary appointment, the form of payment issue, it all really added up. Unfortunately I'll have to go through this once more to bring my sister. We'll see how that goes. read more

Went to renew my n daughter's passports. The man was quick but his has no professionalism in customer service. His approach was rude, ignorant and arrogant. He knows what needed to be done bc it's one of his daily tasks, but he can't expect the client who only renew once in a blue moon know exactly what to do. In my opinion, except police officers, these ppl who works for govt services (post offices, driver license places etc..) need to behave better and please put some customer service manners on at work. You get paid to do your work too. read more
