I really liked their customer service and the high quality of their cabinets. Unfortunately, as my house was getting close to completion, I flew in to meet in person to work on the kitchen project and they quoted me $66k now. I understand prices are increasing during the pandemic but not nearly triple. It looks like on top of the price increases, they may have counted the wrong number of cabinets needed for the project. I tried to work with them cause I wanted it to work out but ultimately, I would have had to make too many sacrifices to fit the budget such as not doing some upper cabinets and doing open shelving instead. In making these edits, they could get it down to $45k, still double the original quote and with too many sacrifices. If I calculate cabinets, counters, GC work, etc, the kitchen would be well over $100k. For that price, you should just go with a fully custom kitchen company. If I wasn't building a new house, building out a big pool and deck and all these other incredibly expensive projects, I would have liked to go with UB, but their pricing was more than I think I'd worth for semi custom

His advice on how to choose cabinet colors, hardware, etc. early on was incredibly valuable. We especially appreciated the extra touches they did; we had some trim and finish that was sagging, and they went out of their way to fix it. In addition to the under cabinet lighting they threw in completely new can lights as well. The final result looks phenomenal, and our only regret is not hiring them earlier! There are so many horror stories about kitchen remodels out there but I can say that none of them were true here. My Experience With Teamwork Home Designs in Austin:…read more I'm sharing this because I wish someone had shared a review like this with me before I started my full-home remodel with Teamwork Home Designs. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, we were promised a lot, but as the project moved forward, the communication became difficult and, more importantly, I felt there was a serious lack of transparency when it came to pricing. We worked with Avi, who told us he was the owner of the company and explained that because of that, he could get us very good pricing. We trusted that and moved forward with the company. Later, through a friend who works with the company as a vendor, I was shown invoices related to our project. What really shocked me was the difference between what the company paid for certain materials and what we were being charged. For example, I was shown an invoice showing approximately $7,000 for our kitchen cabinetry, while we were being charged around $33,000 for the same cabinetry. I completely understand that a remodeling company needs to make a profit. A reasonable markup for managing, coordinating, and providing a project is understandable. But seeing a difference like this was extremely difficult for me to accept, especially when we were led to believe we were receiving very competitive pricing. For me, this ultimately became an issue of trust and transparency. When I questioned the situation and wanted to cancel the contract, the conversation became even more uncomfortable. We were told that the company would sue us and that we could not simply cancel. At one point, after expressing how betrayed and upset I felt about what I had discovered, we were offered $7,000 and additional items at no charge if we agreed not to leave a negative review. We seriously considered that offer, but ultimately decided that it was more important to share our experience honestly. I'm not writing this to tell anyone what decision to make. I'm writing it so that other homeowners can do their own due diligence, ask for detailed pricing, understand material costs and markups, and make sure everything is transparent before signing a contract. A full-home remodel is a huge investment, and for me, trust, honesty, and transparency are just as important as the quality of the work. Based on my personal experience, I would strongly encourage anyone considering Teamwork Home Designs to ask a lot of questions, get multiple estimates, and carefully review the numbers before moving forward. This was a very stressful and disappointing experience for me and my husband, Joe, and I hope sharing it helps another homeowner avoid going through the same thing.

JL assured me that their experienced installers could remove my granite without any damage to my backsplash. But not only that, their price was the best of all four well known Austin companies. In fact, since I was getting Taj Reale from Stratus I saw that several companies marked up the price for the same slab that they all were getting from the same slab yard. In short, JL Cabinets did a fantastic job. The price was great and the demo and installation were top notch. I highly recommend Keyla and all the crew at JL.
