This is our second time working with Hector (this time for fence, deck, and front door) and he and his team again provided top-notch service across all areas. Great communication, scheduling (we had to rain days to go around), and very fair pricing made this a fantastic experience - definitely a 10 out of 10. read more

Hector! Thank you so much for our beautiful fence. It turned out amazing. we share a fence with three neighbors and Hector made it incredibly smooth to ensure everyone's requests were met. I would give 5 million stars if possible for this review. I can't say enough good things about Hector and his team!! I reached out via Yelp to request a quote and Hector was so responsive and helpful. That responsiveness and helpfulness continued throughout my entire experience working with him! He is literally my favorite person that I've ever worked with for anything home repair or improvement related!! Oscar, Jose, Francisco and Luis were notable parts of his team who helped transform my backyard. WoodCare Custom Services removed our old fence and installed a beautiful new cedar fence for us. And installed a gorgeous new deck. And stained everything to perfection. I want to especially highlight how on top of everything Hector was. He is smart and was quick to understand what I wanted and delivered exactly what we asked for. His communication and updates about status were stellar - the best of anyone I've worked with on house things. He was frequently present at the work site all along the way making sure things went well and as planned. He is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. And his prices for all of the work were extremely fair. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs fence or deck work!!! This review may seem over the top, but I promise you that every word is true and accurately describes how wonderful my experience was. read more

Hector and his team were amazing from start to finish. Our fence was falling over into the neighbors yard, so I brought out a few companies to talk about what replacing the fence would look like. Hector came out and was the most knowledgeable, had the best suggestions for how to make our finished product look great, and was priced similar to or better than competitors. His crew was hardworking, respectful, and left my yard looking better than when they started! The final product is a gorgeous fence that I know we'll be happy with for years to come. The 5 star reviews are all right - you want to use WoodCare Custom Services for your next job! read more

We just had Hector's team back to paint the trim on our house. Other than the powerwash, it all had to be done by hand; I was very impressed with the attention to detail. Luis also fixed all fascia that needed repair. Finally, the cedar on the front of our house needed some love and after consulting with Hector we went with a simple stain and it looks like new! Once again, excellent communication throughout, and a very fair price! read more

I hired Hector's team at Woodcare Custom Services to replace my privacy fence. I got many quotes and they were the most economical (quoting the same job with the same materials) and offered the soonest install date. The crew showed up on time, worked very hard and finished the job the next day. The fence turned out amazing, the quality of the workmanship was top notch. They hauled away the old fence and left my home clean - as if no one was ever there. I'm already requesting a quote to have my fence stained. read more

We had Hector come and replace fencing, painting and landscape blocks removed and replaced. The quality is great. We negotiated the price before the work began. No change orders or costs added at the end. They were always on time and completed the work very quickly. I would recommend them to do any work. Excellent service and quality. read more

Hector and the team are efficient, reliable, and do quality work. They replaced my fence and I give them 5 stars.

Clayton did a phenomenal job on my tired, sad looking fence. He worked quickly, was communicative, did a stellar job, and the cost of the two projects (pergola and fence staining) was extremely reasonable. I appreciated how detail oriented he was. There was no stain left on the metal braces along my fence and he touched up everything by hand. Additionally, Clayton was extremely accommodating to my dogs and my schedule. It is amazing how much my entire backyard has felt transformed just with the staining! Couldn't be happier with the result and I'll happily hire Clayton at WoodCare again when I need him. read more

I am pleased to recommend WoodCare Custom Services based on the excellent work Felipé did in power washing and staining our entire backyard fence and deck. He also replaced a wood hand rail on our front porch and stained it. Even when he ran into unexpected challenges, Felipé kept at it until the job was done right. I very much appreciated Hector staying in close communication with me through email, texts, and calls, to ensure I always knew what to expect and when. He offered a fair estimate in a timely manner and was very patient and helpful in answering all my questions. I expect to hire WoodCare again for future projects. read more

Hector's team just finished installing a replacement fence for us. They did an excellent job! They finished ahead of schedule and are very reasonably priced. One of our neighbors also hired the WoodCare team to do their fence and our other neighbor said the work they did on our shared fence was very good. Highly recommend Hector and his team! read more

I worked with Hector to build a cedar fence extension at our new home. Hector was responsive, thorough, efficient and very easy to work with, including when we discussed our budget. I was happy his team could do the job pretty quickly! Previously, there was a chain-link fence on our neighbor's property that connected to our back fence, and we wanted both privacy and cedar instead. As you can see from the photos, his team did a fantastic job accommodating our needs with a very high quality result. I am very attention-to-detailed, and I appreciated that while working with Hector I could rest assured that the job would be managed and done well. At the end of the job, Hector called me to let me know that our back fence was shorter than standard cedar pickets, so he offered a solution to gradually lower the height of the new fence which turned out very well. Highly recommend Hector and his business! read more

I cannot say enough great things about Hector and his crew. Specifically, we had our entire home exterior and detached garage painted by Woodcare. Hector was mindful in the estimate process, followed-up when he promised to, and delivered a work product that transformed our home. Hector was responsive throughout and answered his phone well after normal business hours. We will use Woodcare as much as we can for any job they are willing to take on! read more

I am not just a happy customer, they made me feel like family! Hector called me back within a few hours of my original request for a quote and came out that same day to give me an estimate. I normally have at least 3 companies give me estimates before committing, but I felt so comfortable with Hector's character, promptness, and prices that I booked immediately without even getting another estimate! That has NEVER happened before! Originally, I was just planning to get my deck and fence repainted due to cost, but Hector's prices were so reasonable and he was so up front and honest that I couldn't stop myself from adding on job after job after job because I thought they just did painting but it turns out they can do it all! Here is a list of the things they did, and I am thrilled with all of it! 1) Pressure washed my large deck and then sanded it down when pressure washing alone didn't get enough of the old paint off. 2) Replaced five 20' boards on my deck. 3) Pressure washed my 2 story house (OMG IT WAS LIKE GETTING A NEW HOUSE!!!) and pressure washed the front sidewalk as a surprise (THE BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES BLEW MY MIND!). When I saw the huge difference in the sidewalk, I had them do the driveway, too! 4) Cleaned out my SUPER clogged gutters and drain pipes, even taking them apart on my 2 story house. 5) Suggested replacing 3 of the rotted through fence posts that were causing my fence to fall over instead of telling me I had to replace the entire 80' fence like another company did. 6) Painted my deck and 250' of fencing. 7) Suggested painting the gross-looking landscape timbers in the landscape beds in my front yard. They look amazing now! This was a TON of work for only twice what I paid another company to JUST paint the deck 4-5 years ago. It was SO REASONABLE! Hector treated me like he would treat family. He clipped the best coupons he could find for the paint out of the paper for me, picked up the paint and replacement deck boards for me and sold it to me at cost from the store (even providing receipts without me even asking for them), and delivered them at no extra cost. He started the job quickly, kept me posted on the status, and checked with me as we went along and hit some snags due to weather to ensure the adjusted schedule would work with my timeline. Hector had another guy doing much of the work and he was awesome, too. Very polite and a hard worker. Hector stopped in frequently to ensure everything was going smoothly and pitching in on some of the work to get back on schedule. The house, deck, fence, and sidewalk/driveway look so good now that I even had the lawn guy and my friends commenting that it looked like a different house! I only had one issue that didn't meet my satisfaction with the painting of the landscape timbers in the front and when I talked to Hector about it, he came out the same day to fix it to ensure I was 100% satisfied. Having a one stop shop for all this work combined with a contractor who is so nice, treats you like family, and is so reasonable, it would be crazy to even call anyone else! I will post pictures when I have more time, but I am one seriously happy customer and to be honest, I was sad when they finished because Hector was so sweet I loved having him around! :) read more

Working with Hector was great! Such a nice guy, fair pricing in line with other quotes we received, quality work, attention to detail, and stress-free communication. After a full day of staining a very large pergola we realized we hated the initial color we had picked. He quickly moved into an "ok lets fix this" state of mind without skipping a beat and did so in a way that was very fair to us financially. Couldn't have asked for a better response by a contractor to a delay that was not his fault. Highly recommend Hector and Felipe! read more

WoodCare just completed power washing and staining our large deck. The deck looked like new after Felip'e power washed it. Felip'e applied the stain on the second day, and now the deck looks fantastic. WoodCare gave careful attention to preventing any stain from getting onto our other structures. Also, a thorough cleanup was done upon completion of the job. Hector provided a detailed quote and followed up with us at the end of the job. We enjoyed talking with him. We are extremely pleased with the work done by WoodCare. We will not hesitate to recommend WoodCare to our friends and neighbors. read more

Hector and his crew did a great job washing and restaining my 2 level deck at a very fair price. He was helpful in recommending a different brand stain than what I had originally chosen, since I commented that I wasn't really satisfied with the old brand. The Olympic Elite that he used did a much better job of coverage. He was quick to respond to my original request through Yelp, as I wasn't getting any response from other crews in Angie's List (I'll stick with Yelp!). He also did a great job of keeping in contact throughout the project. read more

I will hire Hector's team again for any paint job. No need to look anywhere else.

When you look around our neighborhood and see houses that don't have this company's staining technique, you realize how great a job these guys do. When we first moved in, a clearly inferior company came out to do our fence and the results were not even remotely good. It wore off quickly and then Woodcare came in and we could not be happier with the results. They told us what the other company did wrong and then used their expertise to correctly stain the fence. What is important to know is that this is not only an aesthetic result but also is crucial for the integrity and longevity of the fence so the posts don't breakdown nearly as fast as when you don't have the proper staining. Get it done right the first time with this company and you'll have some peace of mind (see our fence in the pictures posted). read more

Hector, Juan and his team put up a beautiful brand new horizontal cedar picket fence for us from the ground up. After comparing various Austin fence quotes, we went with Hector because of his reasonable pricing as well as because of his friendly service... he wanted our business, he was extremely communicative, thorough and prompt. The guys did an extraordinary job in just a few short days - they were friendly, professional, and FAST! Juan also paid attention to a lot of the smaller details and was very communicative about how he was going to handle some problem areas along the fence line. I am so impressed by how nice it makes our backyard look now and I am really happy with the results! We went with steel posts for durability. Hector knows a lot about taking care of wood and we're going to have him come back out in about a month to stain the fence after the cedar cures. In the meantime, it smells wonderful out there and looks great!! Couldn't be happier we went with Woodcare. read more

Hector and his team are amazing. Had a quote within record time and scheduled the following week for his team to come out. The best part is that they realized it may rain so they checked with us to see if they can come out sooner to start and finish before the weather got rough. Our fence looks amazing. Hector answered all of our basic stain (we new to this fence staining lol) questions and we showed him our neighbor's stain that we wanted to mimic. Love the honey stain! It looks so good! read more

Hector, his son, Luis and everybody else that works with/for Hector do incredible work. I met Hector while he was working on a neighbor's fence. I asked him for an estimate for my fence, to paint my house, crown molding and to re stain some cabinets in the kitchen. Not only did I get a great deal, the work is beyond what I imagined. Luis is incredible at painting, taking care of covering and taping everything to make sure it comes out perfect. He matched the stain perfectly on the kitchen cabinets to make them all look brand new. The crown molding came out beautiful. Finally, the fence. Incredible!! They repaired and replaced everything that needed to be repaired or replaced, then they pressure washed it, and finally applied the stain. Absolutely beautiful work which will make it last for several more years. Absolutely happy with the work, and the next time I need any work done on the house I will call Hector. I'm glad I stopped to see him while he was working on the neighbors fence, him and his crew do incredible work. I referred him to my neighbor where he's done crown molding so far, and possibly more work to come. Thanks Hector. read more
