Mike and Dorothy are superstars. I could not be more thrilled with my new kitchen. Mike is incredibly responsive, reliable and his attention to detail is second to none.  There is not a single plumb wall, level floor or right angle in my house and Mike was able to work some miracles, getting each of my 15+ cabinets level and custom trimming multiple panels, trim pieces and toe kicks without complaint. I cannot recommend LFP enough. They truly went above and beyond and you would never know these aren't custom cabinets. 10/10!

Mark did my ikea kitchen approx 1 year ago, so my review is a little late, but I'm still so happy with the finish out he did I had to leave a review. I couldn't recommend anyone better. Although we chose ikea components, we were going for a fully built in finish, for the fridge and full trim package, plus the matching pantry in the laundry room. His bid came in slightly lower than others and it didn't change thru the install process even tho we have uneven walls (70's house) which required EVEN more custom cuts to make it look perfect. And guess what? It looks perfect. When putting in the cement screws to secure the island base, he accidentally hit a water line in the foundation and immediately took action to turn off the running water, dug out to the punctured pipe himself and hired a plumber (on his dime!) to fix the leak ASAP. I didn't have to worry about a thing. No damage done and professionally handled. Mark is an all around great guy, great communicator and will be there when he says he will. Super reliable and honest. He also made some suggestions to utilize some extra space we had in the island, hello secret wine cabinet! I'd use this guy again, and honestly I wouldn't trust anyone else to do such a professional job. Don't hire some rando who can just assemble ikea stuff, hire Mark if you want it to look professionally finished and know that it'll hold up for the 25 years these kitchens are meant to last.

Mark designed my new kitchen and worked with me through many delays related to other contractors and things discovered post-demo. The design works great and I'm impressed with the overall quality of the IKEA products. And although he mentioned not having the time to work on my bathroom, he managed to stick around and help install a vanity as well.

We hired Logic Flatpack to redo our entire kitchen based off a design we had done. Mark did an AMAZING job!!! (see the pictures for yourself) He is a perfectionist through and through. He was professional, always quick to answer, on-time and he worked through and helped us with any issues we had. He is very knowledgeable about the IKEA products and even construction in general. He worked very well with our other contractors (counter installers, electrician, sheet rock repair) and everyone loved him. If you are getting an IKEA kitchen with Semihandmade cabinet fronts, don't look anywhere else. Honestly, we met a lot of bullshitters and hustlers and Mark is an honest, hard working craftsman. We would hire him again in a heart beat.

Mike is wonderful! I can't say that enough. He is honest and hardworking and is super meticulous at what he does. I spoke with many contractors and designers before and and none made me feel confident, but it was different with Mike and Dorothy. They listened to what I wanted, modified things as needed and were so easy to work with. Mike not only installed our cabinets, he also did all the demo, added a hidden electrical outlet, added lighting under the cabinets, installed our vent hood and vent hood cover, added board and batten to our peninsula, and reinstalled our sink. Mike was also super responsive and helped me with measurements so that I could order non ikea materials, such as our farmhouse sink and vent hood and cover. If you are considering redoing your kitchen with Ikea cabinets call mike ASAP, trust me, you won't regret it.

Logic flat pack review Mike and Dorothy of Logic Flatpack Assembly were an absolute pleasure to work with, and I wholeheartedly recommend them. I got the kitchen of my dreams, and it was under budget, on time, and is truly functional and beautiful. LFA is a small two person team, which I consider a good thing. They take on one project at a time, and see that project through from start to finish. In my case, they demolished my old kitchen, built and installed new IKEA cabinets and even installed my appliances and hooked up my plumbing and electric. I had to find countertop and backsplash installers on my own, but overall the process was smooth and easy. LFA showed up on time, every day and left the worksite tidy and livable. They offered up great ideas which enhanced my plans and saved me money. Mike's attention to detail is unparalleled, and every cabinet and drawer is perfectly aligned, even though he was working with a 1980s house with some misalignment problems to begin with! I think that LFA would be a great fit for people who are fairly organized and flexible but don't have the skills to install an IKEA kitchen on their own. My experience was smooth because i was willing to go to IKEA multiple times and make sure I received every fitting needed for my project. I asked lots of questions to Mike and Dorothy and the team at IKEA, and I had reasonable expectations given all the supply chain hold ups nowadays. I was also able to store hundreds of boxes with IKEA cabinets, panels, hinges and odds and ends in an adjacent room ready for assembly. Unlike a traditional contractor relationship, you are working as a team with Mike and Dorothy, and you will have a greater understanding of the workings of your kitchen, and of course, you will be able to customize within the perimeters of the IKEA interface. If you are someone who just wants to pay someone to do the whole kitchen for you, perhaps you should go with a traditional contractor, but you may face delays, high prices, poor workmanship, etc. If, however, you appreciate the style and functionality of IKEA kitchens and you are willing to put some time into planning your dream kitchen, then by all means contact the good people at LFA!

If you're working on an Ikea project, you need Mike in your life! The LFA team helped to completely transform my kitchen and bathroom, and I could not be more grateful. Mike was there every step of the way to help advise on cabinet sizes, tips and tricks for Semihandmade orders, and more. They were a delight to work with, and I could not recommend them more.

Mark of Logic Flatpack Assembly turned our Ikea kitchen into a custom-looking masterpiece.

Logic Flatpack Assembly was great to work with. Mark, the owner, was responsive and quick to deliver. The prices were competitive, and the timeline was even better. We asked for quotes from several of the other companies listed on Yelp, and as you all probably know, most were total flakes that wouldn't show to appointments or follow up after their visit (seems to be common in Austin). Logic Flatpack was the exact opposite. Immediate follow-up, quick quote, quick timeline to get our job in, and quick to get it done. Best of all, our kitchen looks better than we even expected. Even though Ikea helped us design the kitchen, we couldn't have done as good of a job without Mark there to walk us through the details of filler boards, trim, crown moulding, and even installing a custom farmhouse sink. Most people that see our kitchen think it is full custom. Amazing!

If you need any ikea kitchen install work done, Mark is your guy. He installed a buffet and wall cabinets for us and was a pleasure to work with. After a tiny almost unnoticeable error on his part he drove to ikea to get a replacement door without being asked. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to others wholeheartedly.

The team appeared comfortable working on bathroom renovations; however, the shower diverter was not installed correctly, which caused the handle to be improperly aligned. Some aspects of the workmanship appeared rushed, and based on our experience, I would recommend exercising caution with detail-oriented tasks such as wood staining, drywall, painting, or door hardware installation. This project did not go as smoothly as anticipated, and I would not choose to work with this company again.

I really liked their customer service and the high quality of their cabinets. Unfortunately, as my house was getting close to completion, I flew in to meet in person to work on the kitchen project and they quoted me $66k now. I understand prices are increasing during the pandemic but not nearly triple. It looks like on top of the price increases, they may have counted the wrong number of cabinets needed for the project. I tried to work with them cause I wanted it to work out but ultimately, I would have had to make too many sacrifices to fit the budget such as not doing some upper cabinets and doing open shelving instead. In making these edits, they could get it down to $45k, still double the original quote and with too many sacrifices. If I calculate cabinets, counters, GC work, etc, the kitchen would be well over $100k. For that price, you should just go with a fully custom kitchen company. If I wasn't building a new house, building out a big pool and deck and all these other incredibly expensive projects, I would have liked to go with UB, but their pricing was more than I think I'd worth for semi custom

Cutco knives are made in the USA to last, and the Cutco company believes so strongly in its product that each knife is "guarantee forever" including free sharpening. What?! Until recently, I did not have Cutco knives but, just as I was contemplating an upgrade of my kitchen knives, my sweet Mom gifted me with the set she'd had for years but no longer used. Did the guarantee convey to a new owner? Were these older knives (circa 1970s) eligible for free sharpening? What about the French Chef knife that had a chink missing from the blade? Could it be fixed? When I called the Cutco Kitchen in Rollingwood (in the shopping center where the Post Office is) the answer to all my questions was, without hesitation or question, "yes." I took the knives in today and the experience couldn't have been better. It's a small shop but has a very wide array of Cutco products: all the knives, kitchen utensils, spices, gardening tools, and other handy household items. Although there was only one sales person present, I was the only customer so I had her attention immediately. The sales person examined each knife and found one that had a broken point, which I had not noticed. They would mail it and the damaged French Chef knife to the company for any repairs or replacement. The other knives were sharpened at the shop. I brought my non-Cutco knives, too, because they only charge $5 per knife for sharpening. This took about 10 minutes or so, more than enough time for me to pop by the USPO and Great Harvest Bread Co. where I got an amazing loaf of bread (but that's another Yelp review). Their process is to call me when the replacement/repaired knifes are ready for pick-up, which should be about 10 days. Yes, the Cutco products are pricey but I believe they are worth it. My Mom used her Cutco knives for about 50 years before passing them on to me and I suspect they will be around long after I no longer need them. In Cutco's case, you definitely get what you pay for.
