    Shelves after being decorated

Adam was the most helpful when we didn't know what finish we wanted for our wood shelves, he gave us an idea and we went with it. He came back by to make sure the finish would match some other wood finishes in the house and had the shelves hung so quickly, and also gave us a ton of bracket ideas to decide on that he thought would match our style. The outcome is insanely beautiful we couldn't be happier (and we definitely couldn't have done this ourselves). Such an amazing finish for our kitchen. Would highly recommend.

Adam just did our open shelves for our kitchen and they are wonderful. He was easy to work with, really responsive and when we needed a fix (not his fault) on one of them, he was there is no time to make sure it was all perfect. I wish I hadn't run out of budget, I wanted him to do some in my bathroom as well - will save and see if we can't make that happen next. Definitely suggest giving him a call.

It is particularly difficult for me to write a review for Adam Saltzer. There is a lot I have to say and this page isn't enough. I was looking to have a study desk made with a unique slab of wood. I didn't have a proper place to do my studies so It was my dream to have a beautiful custom made table. I was shown the options (wooden slabs) and I appreciated his expert feedback on which would work the best for me. Adam is a sensible, trustworthy, talented, resourceful, consistent and a dedicated person. He is special because he genuinely wants to deliver a product that you will love and admire, a product that will last! He made sure to stay within my budget, to keep me posted on the progress with photos/videos, to answer all my questions/concerns, to finish the product in a timely manner and to help me make good decisions on the details of the table. Not only is Adam one of the nicest people I've met, he is a pretty incredible listener! I was blown away by his attention to detail. I was jumping for joy when I saw that he had listened carefully to my requests and it surprised me to see even a better outcome/results than I had envisioned. A BIG THANKS to him for that! I get a lot of compliments for my table, and I'm so excited to tell everyone who Adam is and what incredible, beautiful work he does! His passion for his work is reflected in the beauty, quality and durability of his products. I hope he never stops creating! I am lucky* to have found him. All the best Adam!

My husband and I commissioned Adam to make a new entertainment center for us and were not disappointed. We started with a picture of what we wanted it patterned after and had conversations about our specific requests and measurements, and Adam created a beautiful piece of furniture for us that is perfect. Very professional, pleasant, great communication and a fabulous artist.

We commissioned Adam to make some floating shelves for above our oven. After contacting many, many people, Adam was by far and away the least expensive, and seemed to have a clear idea of what we were looking for. He came over to measure the space and discuss stains with us, and then sent us multiple videos and pictures throughout his staining process to ensure we had the final look we wanted. Although he thought it might take him a few weeks to build the shelves, he had them finished and installed within a week and a half- ahead of schedule! We were so impressed with his work, professionalism, and attention to detail that we are hoping he will build us out a breakfast nook in our dining room next.

    Book Shelf and Vinyl Shelf

Adam built the most gorgeous custom book/vinyl shelf for our new home. He was great with communication, installed and delivered everything, and helped us stay within budget. Highly recommend!

This review is way overdue. About a year ago, we wrapped up construction on an indoor/outdoor space near our pool. I wanted a beautiful bench on the entry wall but couldn't find anything online that fit my criteria. I reached out to Adam and the process was easy. He created a beautiful piece, for a reasonable price, and we love it. He walked me through all of our options, listened to them all and made suggestions on details being the wood expert. Below is a photo of the bench. It doesn't do it justice. The detail is beautiful. Now all we need is a big piece of art to go above it :)

During the bid process he took the time to explain our options for materials and design and once we decided he was quick to send us a formal bid. in the weeks between the bid and install he kept us updated w/ pictures of our desk being built. Today he and his teammate showed up early and knocked out the install in less than 2 hours. Love the results and look forward to working with Josh again should the need arise.

We moved into a new house on the east side of Austin several months ago. While we'd had our builder…read moreinstall built-in desks and shelves in our study, we found the cost very high (and the quality lacking). Our 14' long living room wall looked very stark with its small TV cabinet and wall-mounted TV set, and we realized we needed something more in proportion with the room. So I looked on Yelp and found Josh Hager...and followed up with his website. I was impressed with the size of the projects he tackled, so figured he might be able to do a good job for us. Josh responded quickly to my first e-mail and came over within a matter of days to give us an estimate. He looked over my drawings and came up fairly quickly with a cost I found reasonable. Josh inspired so much confidence that we asked him that same evening to look at another space (upstairs) that needed a built-in. Once again, the estimate was reasonable. A week or so later, we thought of another project Josh could tackle: our master closet. Again, a reasonable estimate. We gave him deposits for all three projects. Josh is very busy, and with good reason. He does excellent work at reasonable prices, is totally honest and does not inflate the costs of materials. He uses good-quality materials (no MDF, thank heavens!) And Josh makes recommendations that improve on whatever you might have in mind, based on his breadth of experience. It's all about quality at a reasonable price. Josh uses great hinges on cabinet doors; soft close and push-button removable. Further, his estimates for both materials and labor, at least in our case, were spot-on relative to what we ended up paying. We felt it was worth waiting a few months before Josh could get to our project. Our largest projects were installed by Josh and a helper in a couple of days. The paint-grade wood and great workmanship made the wall units look so nice that we were tempted to leave them unpainted. We actually did leave the interiors of the cabinets unpainted...and they look great. Josh was able to connect us with a painting company to do the finish work within a week or so after he completed installation. The end results were phenomenal; the cabinets Josh built totally changed the look and feel of our rooms in a good way. The quality of his work and the scale of the project made the cabinets a focal point in our living room. We are very pleased and won't hesitate to call Josh again if we need any wood work. Lastly, it's now been about 4 years since our cabinets were installed and painted. I've updated my rating to 5 stars due to how well the cabinets have performed for us over the years. Side comment: I find it odd that so many reviews were screened out, given I can tell many (if not most) are legitimate, based on photos on the Triple Crown website.

Met with Nate in about a built in desk and a built in entertainment center in December and he told me he was booked 2-3weeks out. I said, sure no problem, we can handle it in January. Come mid January, he tells me he needs more time. I say sure. Come February I reach out and no answer. Called, emailed and texted, still no answer (mind you I had already given 50% down to him). Finally after not hearing from him for almost 3 weeks he responded and saying he was just getting started on building the cabinets. It's now mid-March and he finally got to installing the units. But don't expect him to arrive at the time he says. He was consistently 2-3 hours late to the time he promised to be here (which required us to adjust work schedules). First day he arrived at 2:30pm after saying he would be here at noon and then had to come back on a Sunday because he couldn't finish it all in one day. Now that's just the communications part, as for the quality of the work. I have been very disappointed. I had asked for a 1.5" wood top on my desk. After install I've noticed it's a single 3/4" plywood top with an additional 3/4" plywood strip on the front to make it look like it's 1.5". Not only that but because it's plywood there are obvious seams on the desktop. And the front is covered with a veneer which bubbled in multiple places and even though he came to glue it back down still does not look great. There are seams in multiple places where he could have easily gone with a full piece of dimensional lumber instead. There are screws protruding on the side of the cabinets which are the only sides that face out so would have expected the screws to be hidden. He left part of one of the tops uneven, even though I brought to his attention before the painters came, so he had to come back out and fix it and the painters had to come back out and fix the paint again. Also when he put in the shelves after the paint (because he didn't have the shelf pins and had to order from amazon), he scratched up the paint pretty badly in pretty obvious places. I've worked in construction as my dad was a contractor and I fully understand things happen or sometimes things don't work out as planned but for the price I paid I would have expected much higher quality and less chasing to get this completed.

I had been meaning to do a bunch of repairs on my house (which is just about 13 years old and remediated 6 years ago) and was trying to reach out to different people to do different jobs with varying levels of success. The result was a backlog of things to do and coordinate with different parties. I originally reached out to David for some help with repairing a shower door that had fallen off. He replied quickly and showed up to do his estimate as scheduled. While he was over, he looked at a bunch of the other things that I needed to have done and offered to do them as well. He repaired everything in one day only a few days later. I have to applaud David for his courage to start his own business. But this makes sense for him. He knows he is good at what he does and he is organized. He is highly professional in his correspondence. He will outline precisely what he intends to do. He is timely. He is versatile in the tasks that he can perform. He possesses initiative. And he will follow-up with thorough documentation of what was done and needs to be done. Payment is also easy and he accepts a number of modalities. I have attached some of the pictures he took for the various jobs including: 1. Window blind replacement 2. Water valve and supply line replacement (more details below) 3. Ceiling fan remote control failure diagnosis 4. Watersealing of door threshold (more details below) 5. Tub spout repair 6. Shower door repair and adjustment (I contacted a bunch of people who would not offer to do this) 7. Sliding door repair (which another contractor said they would fix but never did) I want to comment in particular on his ability to diagnose problems. For the longest time, my kitchen faucet had slow flow. Just the kitchen faucet. Over the years, I contacted perhaps 3-4 different plumbing companies. They recommended ridiculous things like increasing the water pressure to the house (which didn't make a lot of sense given that the other faucets were fine and was impossible because the pressure was already maximized) and even replacing the faucet altogether (which would cost $220 for the same model and not resolve the underlying problem). David diagnosed the problem as excess calcium build-up in the valves and he was right! He knew the answer when all the professional "tradesmen" did not. I also have what some people would call a "lemon" for a house. The contractors that built it did bad job. It was remediated but even after this remediation, I had problems. One of them was the balcony door which would leak water when it rained. I contacted the builder and they said that my second warranty had expired and they recommended how to repair it. Suffice to say that they were completely wrong and David uncovered some pretty shoddy workmanship and commented on the unorthodox remediation which would lead to the problem. I should have had David remediate my house. Overall, I am exceedingly happy to have stumbled upon this gentleman and would be pleased to refer him to others. He is basically the "doctor" you want for your house. I hope he stays in business a long time.
