He was able to start right away and had a bid for me very quickly for a lot of different projects. He removed one wall entirely for me, shortened another wall, widened a doorway to 7 feet, set 4 cabinets to make an island, repaired the sheet rock in my ceiling and leveled the floor in our converted garage. I basically have an entirely new house because of Gary's amazing work! His bid was very fair and better than any of the larger construction companies that I spoke with. He was also able to start quickly and finished my project in 2 weeks. The work is gorgeous and I could not be any more proud of our house. He is very honest and will help you figure out the best way to make your ideas work within your budget and the quality of his work is unquestionable. Gary was great to deal with and very respectful of our furniture and the rest of the house that was not being remodeled. He and his crew were very helpful, knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. I would hire them for any future projects without a second thought. In the middle of our remodel our entire house flooded and Gary came back after they were through for the day and helped us get things off the floor, etc. He brought additional help the next day and spent the day cleaning the disaster that the flood had made of our house. Because of Gary and his crew, our entire project ended within the scheduled time and the flood did not set things back more than a day. He also saved us from a substantial amount of water damage and other issues. I truly cannot stress enough the quality of work Gary does, he completely transformed my house for a price I was able to afford and did so in a timely and efficient manner. He was completely willing to help with issues that came up and his attention to detail is amazing. If you are remodeling this is definitely the guy to hire!

Gary has a unique ability of aesthetics - I had a simple idea, but he made me see that it would look better if he could do a slight variation of my initial concept. I feel that I have a new bathroom! I have invited Gary back to do another job, this time it involves masonry in my backyard, and again Gary made me see that my idea would be better if he could tweak it. So, if you care about finesse and visual consistency, look elsewhere.

Phil came by within 15 minutes and assessed the door. He knew exactly what to do so it was easy (in theory bc Bubba aka my house has nothing easy about him) and probably after feeling so bad for me he decided to squeeze my job in. **I will say with Phil you need to be patient because he's a person with a life and has other things going on so be open to waiting a bit. If you aren't patient and want a hurry and rush job don't contact Phil- he's not for you and he doesn't deserve to be treated badly.** Ok so, Phil finally scheduled me and secured an assistant (this was a 2 person job). They took a few days to do the framing and install of my storm door. He encountered some extra work that needed to be done because it wasn't done correctly before. I appreciate that he did the job that needed to be done and did not skimp me. As a single woman I felt safe and confide t with Phil. I'm happy with the job and am so excited to be able to use my back door again and to have a storm door. We contacted Austin Pro Siding as part of a comprehensive siding replacement project, as our…read morefiberboard siding was end-of-life and starting to really have problems that would have only gotten worse. Along the way, we also discovered that we needed to have the roof replaced, and so put that in the mix for a bid as well. We contacted six different companies, each of which brought a particular set of strengths and challenges. We chose Austin Pro based on a combination of factors: personalized attention to our project, comprehensive estimate and explanation of each line item, and ability to get the project done on a timeline that worked for us. We chose to have the house re-sided with Hardie Plank, painted with Sherwin-Williams paint, and re-shingled the roof with GAF shingles. It's easy to get overwhelmed by the process of basically re-doing the entire house, especially when insurance companies come into play. To that end, everyone at Austin Pro was first rate. Before we even settled on a contractor, Paul, our project manager, walked me through the intricacies of the process, and spent probably more time than he wanted explaining how things would go, and what options we had. The bid was competitive, and the line-by-line items on the original bid made it easy to see what was going to be done, and what materials were going to be used. He was patient and courteous and flexible, and was also able to speak to us in a way that didn't make things even more confusing. Kevin was the siding project lead, and though we never met in person, I felt comfortable that he had our best interests at heart as he got the crew on site, working fast and efficiently to remove and replace the siding. He even called in the middle of the siding job to tell us that we didn't need something we thought we would, saving us money that we could then use for add-ons we didn't originally budget for. The siding install and siding paint was done beyond our initial expectations, with nice touches like window framing and utility box framing that I didn't even know we needed but now look perfect. We had the back door repainted as well as our front balcony and pillars, and the end result is fantastic. It really was done to the point where it looks like a brand new house, and not one built in the early 1990s. Paul was back on site for the roofing job, and the roofers did a great job removing and replacing the shingles and skylight with new materials, on a roof that is exceptionally steep and challenging. They had the entire project done in only two days, and it looks fantastic. Finally, Garrett came by to do the final walk-through and punch list check-off, and was a real pleasure to interact with. He fulfilled all the items on the list, at least the ones he could do on his own, and did so in a friendly, courteous, and extremely efficient manner. All in all, Austin Pro lived up to their name and to their reputation. It is possible to find a company that can do your big jobs for less, but I am not sure you could find one that could do it better. They stand by their work with a quality assurance guarantee, and while I don't intend to need it, it's great that it's there.

Second, he is dishonest about pricing. Third, as the owner, you are responsible for your employees. His worker damaged the paint on my siding using gorilla tape instead of blue painters tape. Not just 1 area, the whole bottom plank adjacent to my porch. We won't even get into the names he called my wife (cuss words) when she called to have the job finished. The job is still not finished. I'm in a service oriented business who recommends good fellow contractors and Todd is not one of them. I have documented the way he spoke to me & my wife & have documented the damage. The job is still not finished & we are to the point we don't even feel safe having Todd back over. Save yourself the trouble & use someone else. Oh & he's been paid in full. For prospective customers reading this, here is the verified context: Fraudulently advertising yourselves as a "James Hardie Elite Preferred Contractor" to secure the job, only to systemically violate the manufacturer's strict installation guidelines, is not a "punch-list" oversight--it is deceptive marketing and a material breach of contract. Puncturing an internal PVC plumbing pipe, illegally wrapping it in black duct tape, and immediately hiding it behind the new siding is not a 'punch-list' item - it is active fraudulent concealment. The 'Fraudulent' Financing: We authorized the payment because they claimed to follow actively concealed the duct-taped plumbing. Inducing a customer to authorize a loan by hiding severe damage is the legal definition of fraudulent concealment. Contradictory Public Statements & The BBB Complaint: JP Exteriors is using public platforms to feign cooperation. On our active BBB complaint, they claim they are waiting for our independent inspection report before taking action. However, their own written record proves they inspected the property themselves on June 11th and issued a superficial patching offer on June 22nd. The very next day, they explicitly stated in writing they were not willing to expand their scope to a full replacement, formally refusing to cure the hidden defects before our third-party inspection was even conducted on June 24th. The 42-page independent inspection report, which we received on June 29, definitively confirms that the widespread, concealed code violations and structural deficiencies cannot be resolved through superficial patching. The report details systemic failures, including improperly installed weather-resistant barriers, missing flashings, overdriven fasteners, damaged boards, unsealed wall penetrations, and an internal PVC plumbing pipe that was punctured by a fastener and actively concealed with black duct tape. The Manufacturer's Involvement: James Hardie is indeed involved, to the extent that the manufacturer offered to provide free replacement materials to JP Exteriors so they could execute a proper rework. JP Exteriors leadership actively refused this offer. We stand entirely by our documented evidence, our 42-page forensic inspection report, and our active fraud dispute with the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. We had a professional measuring our old door beforehand to make sure all was right. Then we choose the door from their vast selection and once we agreed on the door details, we got a good quote and ordered it with a promise to be delivered in 12 weeks. It took only 9 1/2 weeks (Epic movie, by the way) so we cannot complain. The crew that installed our door did it in 2 hours and did a perfect job. They even installed my Smart Lock, which I assumed I would have to do it myself as it's more complex than a regular Dumb lock, so that saved me time.
