    We recently had two front doors installed and prior to the doors being stained and varnished (our choice to have stained after install) I removed the locking hardware. I have dissembled and re-installed many locks in my day. We selected Emtek hardware because of the quality and these proved a challenge to install. Lance, the Store Manager was nice enough to send a technician to re-install the locks. From the ordering process to our doors being received and installed ahead of schedule to service, we could not have been more pleased with the Front Door Company. I highly recommend this company for your door needs.

    We had a very positive experience with this company. Our new fiberglass front door is gorgeous. We did it all online, never setting foot in the store. Can't get more millennial than that and I'm not even a millennial. The communication with the company was always easy either via phone or E-mail. The payment methods were also all made online as it should be in 2021. We're close to putting people on Mars, but many companies in the US still rely on bank paper checks, lol. We had a professional measuring our old door beforehand to make sure all was right. Then we choose the door from their vast selection and once we agreed on the door details, we got a good quote and ordered it with a promise to be delivered in 12 weeks. It took only 9 1/2 weeks (Epic movie, by the way) so we cannot complain. The crew that installed our door did it in 2 hours and did a perfect job. They even installed my Smart Lock, which I assumed I would have to do it myself as it's more complex than a regular Dumb lock, so that saved me time. Very happy with the company and product, highly recommended.

    BEWARE!! I purchased a beautiful $1900 front door from them they originally told me it would take 6 to 8 weeks for it to come in ...No it took 12 weeks but just like the other review(which I should have read 1st!) The manager Lance was completely rude telling me it was the shippers fault...which it wasn't then when it finally came it the excuses about staining it and how they need time but thats not the worst....Finally on install day their installer shows up and installs my beautiful door just when I think "it was worth all the waiting and BS" their installer damages my door by misaligning and drilling 2 peep holes that didn't line up and this is how he trys to fix it(see pics) not only was the door ruined but he got stain all over my Conrete entry way!!! JUST GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

    Submitted real review. My wife and I were given advice to visit The Front Door Co. to select a new exterior door for our home. We arrived on a Saturday, late morning. The showroom was busy, 4 or 5 customers ahead of us, so we browsed the door selections on the floor. My wife and I both had previously discussed which style we wanted so we knew what to look for. Alas, the Texas Star door was on the floor. Nice style, fresh lines, and solid. After a brief wait, we met with Lance, who was ever so polite and informative about the product. Lance was absolutely, positively professional throughout the whole process of selection and ordering. I had to mention to Lance that I was very happy we had made the right choice to come to his establishment rather than a big box store. It is very rare nowadays to receive personalized attention, quality and detail which are major factors when making a purchase. Our door lead time was discussed and actually was ready to pick up earlier than the estimated time given. Lance double checked and verified that everything was correct at the pick up location. I proceeded to thank him once again. I have come up with my own personal rating when dealing with exceptional services and products. The 6 star rating. I also add POMG- piece of mind guarantee. POMG relates to when you feel most comfortable with a service or product. By the way, sure, you can save a couple bucks going to the big box stores but in the long run- is it really worth it? Think about it. Thank you again, Lance, for proving that there are still companies that go above and beyond to make the customer satisfied about the purchase they have made. Lance definitely deserves my 6 star rating for his kindness, honesty, attitude, etc. My wife and I plan on making another purchase from The Front Door Co., through Lance.     So this review is long but I feel that the details are important here. I first started working with Francisco at the end of April and after much back and forth (which went well) I finally decided to proceed with my purchase of a door and frame, all of which came out to over $2500 (hardware not included since I wanted to save money by buying it on my own). I put down my deposit on May 4th with the understanding that it would be 7-8 weeks to receive and install my door. On May 8th I receive a call from their representative who would like to come take all the measurements within the hour. I just so happened to be in the vicinity so I easily went home to meet up with him. He showed up as promised and we discussed stain color and he took the measurements. After he left I checked with Francisco on the expected timeframe and he again stated 7-8 weeks. On July 2nd (week 9) I decided to call and get a status since I hadn't heard anything from them since May 8th. Francisco looked up my status and seemed surprised to see that he had just barely received the door. He said he would double check and get back to me. Shortly there after I receive an email from him that the door had just been received, it would be stained by the 25th (of July) and if all looked good, he would call to schedule my install date. No apologies and no explanation. So at this point, I am very upset. July 25th would mean over 11 weeks! And that would just be the date of staining, not the day of installation. Plus at no point since May 8th did I receive a courtesy call to tell me how delayed this would be. It truly felt like they simply forgot about my order. I called and asked to speak to a manager. The man who answered, Lance, said that he was the manager and asked how he could assist. I proceeded to express my frustration to him about the lengthy wait, no communication, no apology, etc. I explained that the situation felt very much like a bait and switch because if I had known how long the process would actually take, I could have made an informed decision and decided to go with another company. Lance was very understanding and apologetic. He stated that they were just very busy and the delay was in the staining department. However, I have to believe that if they realized they were taking more orders than usual then they would have known the time frame would be more than 7 to 8 weeks and thus, should have informed me. He again apologized and said he might be able to move up the staining by one week (July 18th). After speaking with the staining dept he called back to say that he would move up the date by one week but unfortunately that's all he could do. This did little to make the situation better but I felt defeated at this point since I had waited so long already. I said fine. Sure enough on July 18th Francisco calls to notify me that my door is ready and he'd like to schedule my installation date. Feeling less than enthusiastic I tell him I can meet whenever they can. He proceeds to tell me that he doesn't have anything available until July 30th. Feeling ever more disheartened by the situation I tell him I don't care anymore since this has been such a terrible experience and I will just take the appointment on the 30th. He seemed irritated by my response and just said "Well I may be able to do Saturday (the 20th). Let me check and get back to you." Again, no apologies. He called back a few minutes later and said they would be there on Saturday the 20th. I said thank you and that was the end of the conversation. The installers showed up on time on Saturday morning and were absolutely awesome. They worked hard and fast and did a phenomenal job. This was the most impressive and wonderful portion of my whole experience with this company. I called Francisco on Monday to pay the remaining balance and it was short and uneventful. Again, no apologies, no questions about my experience, nothing. I paid my full balance and walked away from this company for good. So in conclusion, yes the end product is gorgeous. I am very very happy with my new door and have received compliments from several people who are just passing by. So if you have all the time in the world and are not big on customer service then this is the company for you. If you're wanting more value for your money (in my case $2500) then definitely find another company to work with.

    We are really happy with our new fiberglass doors from The Front Door Co. Our salesperson, Mindy, was very helpful. Once we decided on our design, we paid a deposit and Lance came over to do the measurements. He, too, is very knowledgeable and was helpful in answering all of our questions. Both Mindy and Lance explained that it would take up to 12 weeks for our doors to arrive and once they did, they would inspect them to ensure that they were properly manufactured. Our doors arrived in about 10 weeks and the installer, David, did a splendid job. We are very happy with these doors and highly recommend The Front Door Company!

    We just installed our pivot door and it is exceptional. Everyone tells us it is the nicest residential door they have ever seen. Thank you from New Jersey!!

    I'm a tad CRAZY when selecting new items for my home. It's so....permanent. Like a marriage. You spend a lot of time searching and you need to be able to love whatever you select. I called and emailed Mark numerous times, visited Clay, Mark and Lance in the showroom. Made a last minute tweak. And, finally a purchase. Lance (the other Lance, there are two) came out and measured our front door opening, reviewed the weather stripping and gave me stain selections so I could coordinate a color with our hickory floor. Then, it was a bit of a wait which is very typical for a custom door. The day Mark called to tell me our new door was ready to be installed I was like an expectant mother. Any moment I'd go into labor and the door would be here. I paced the floor. I drank coffee. I ate chocolate. I hung upside down. And it arrived exactly on time. The new door and new hardware look fabulous. Joseph performed a perfect and prompt installation. I'm so in love with this company. They are the best Austin has to offer.

    So unbelievably thrilled with our new front door! The quality is outstanding and we get so many compliments on it. I am an interior designer and am really picky about what I put in my home but couldn't be more thrilled with our decision. Thomas was great to work with. He worked out the best options to get us what we wanted within the budget we were shooting for.

    BLUF: they quoted me to remove my existing entrance door and install a new one. sent me a quote for…read morematerials and labor which i accepted (i have all records of communication). After i paid for the materials, it was a struggle to get them to show up and they never finished the job. timeline: paid on December 1st and was told installation would be done by December 19. They said they would prep the door (paint, etc.) and have it ready for the 19th. The week of the installation i never received an update. when i called i was told that they could not be here because of weather. Next, they said they would come on January 2 to do the job. They showed up only to tear up my entrance and leave it unfinished (See pictures). They took multiple measurements of everything they could find but not made any real progress. They left and took the door and materials (that i already paid for) to paint them (didnt do it the first time) and said they would come back the following Friday (1/9/26) to finish the job. when next friday came, they never showed up, i received no communication from them. After calling multiple times for several days with no response, i was able to connect with them by calling from a different number (they thought was a new job). I was finally able to get Rene to at least return my door and materials that i paid for (which they overcharged me for). They finally showed up a few days later to deliver my materials, but the job was never finished as originally contracted. This is not the first time this happens. From the very beginning, Pierce Stevenson was a pleasure to work with. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and provided a very fair and accurate estimate. Even more impressive, he was able to get the job scheduled quickly--no small feat during the busy holiday season. I ordered and received my new door on a Saturday, and Pierce was able to come out the following Tuesday. He completed the entire installation in four hours, exactly as he had promised. The door works perfectly, looks extremely professional, and the quality of the work really shows. Pierce was efficient, reliable, and clearly takes pride in his craftsmanship. He seemed nervous and claimed that he had a personal emergency. He came out the next day and same thing, he worked for a couple of hours and left without finishing the job. I called him and he said he finished. Neither of the windows close and one was too long and the other was too short. I will most likely have to replace the windows after what he did. He committed to returning yesterday but did not show up nor return calls and messages. This guy, from my experience lacks professionalism and competence.

I had been meaning to do a bunch of repairs on my house (which is just about 13 years old and remediated 6 years ago) and was trying to reach out to different people to do different jobs with varying levels of success. The result was a backlog of things to do and coordinate with different parties. I originally reached out to David for some help with repairing a shower door that had fallen off. He replied quickly and showed up to do his estimate as scheduled. While he was over, he looked at a bunch of the other things that I needed to have done and offered to do them as well. He repaired everything in one day only a few days later. I have to applaud David for his courage to start his own business. But this makes sense for him. He knows he is good at what he does and he is organized. He is highly professional in his correspondence. He will outline precisely what he intends to do. He is timely. He is versatile in the tasks that he can perform. He possesses initiative. And he will follow-up with thorough documentation of what was done and needs to be done. Payment is also easy and he accepts a number of modalities. I have attached some of the pictures he took for the various jobs including: 1. Window blind replacement 2. Water valve and supply line replacement (more details below) 3. Ceiling fan remote control failure diagnosis 4. Watersealing of door threshold (more details below) 5. Tub spout repair 6. Shower door repair and adjustment (I contacted a bunch of people who would not offer to do this) 7. Sliding door repair (which another contractor said they would fix but never did) I want to comment in particular on his ability to diagnose problems. For the longest time, my kitchen faucet had slow flow. Just the kitchen faucet. Over the years, I contacted perhaps 3-4 different plumbing companies. They recommended ridiculous things like increasing the water pressure to the house (which didn't make a lot of sense given that the other faucets were fine and was impossible because the pressure was already maximized) and even replacing the faucet altogether (which would cost $220 for the same model and not resolve the underlying problem). David diagnosed the problem as excess calcium build-up in the valves and he was right! He knew the answer when all the professional "tradesmen" did not. I also have what some people would call a "lemon" for a house. The contractors that built it did bad job. It was remediated but even after this remediation, I had problems. One of them was the balcony door which would leak water when it rained. I contacted the builder and they said that my second warranty had expired and they recommended how to repair it. Suffice to say that they were completely wrong and David uncovered some pretty shoddy workmanship and commented on the unorthodox remediation which would lead to the problem. I should have had David remediate my house. Overall, I am exceedingly happy to have stumbled upon this gentleman and would be pleased to refer him to others. He is basically the "doctor" you want for your house. I hope he stays in business a long time.
