Yep! This is the guy for our home. He was creative with solutions, very up front how he would fix something (which was NOT the most expensive way), and willing to WORK. Buyer beware. Matt quoted me $70 per hour for interior painting, which seemed high to me. I told him I'd need to know how many hours it would take before we got started. He said it would depend on how well the paint covered so I offered to tell him exactly what paint I'd purchased. At that point he told me he wasn't interested in the job. Then by accident he sent me the two text messages below,obviously intended for a coworker or someone he was working with. "Let's just call it a day. That customer sounds a bit dodgy, if you know what I mean." & "I just got off the phone with her. i don't want to give you a customer who is a pain, so I told her we are going to pass." read more

He replaced electrical outlets in my apartment with USB-compatible sockets and moved another outlet to hide the cord to my wall-mounted TV. Perhaps small projects, but done cleanly and quickly. Matt has come by a few times for some quick handy work and more importantly a huge project of repainting our entire showroom at Knot Standard in Austin. Always fun to chat with, with a great sense of humor making the quoting and communication a breeze. I entrusted him with our keys for the weekend to come in outside our hours to have the job done. Not only did he move everything for us to do the painting, but he and his crew also put everything back in place perfectly. The painting also required beautiful handwork around some fixed signage that was beautiful, no marks left behind! He even went out of his way to showcase some of our work without being asked and some of his network reached out to me personally. He is everything you would want in a personal, trustworthy businessman. I will be calling again for any maintenance on our old original Austin building and to give this place a fresh look! Matt fixed an outdoor faucent for us. It was leaking. I tried to fix it by undo-ing the faucet, but ended up twisting the copper pipe as it was sottered on. Matt recognized the faucet was sottered on, cut off the part of the pipe I twisted, and attached a new faucet with a compession fitting (he bought at Lowes, after not finding it at HD). Matt is the best. He is a hard worker, does good work, and is reasonable. Bruce on his team is also awesome. You never have to worry about poor quality work with Matt - he'll make sure the work is complete and you're happy before ever leaving a job. He's actually much pickier than I am so that's a plus. Plus, he actually schedules jobs with meeting requests - and then sticks to the schedule. If he or any of his people are even five minutes late I get a call. Such an amazing difference from past experiences where I had to wait around hoping that the handyman would show up within 2 hours of the time he said he would. And get this, he also returns calls, shows up for quotes, provides the quote, makes sure he or his people show up for the job, finishes the job, and then follows up for feedback. This job could have qualified for Mission Impossible. This is an Anderson Patio door that was installed incorrectly. Anderson's solution: rip it out(including the frame) buy & intstall a new one(of course). Not. Problem: wind driven rain would penetrate the sill regardless the DIY 'solutions'. Enter Matt. Not one, but three separate attempts. Matt never mentioned the white flag of surrender (brutally honest, I was eyeing that white flag at the start of the 3rd attempt). But as that adage goes: 3rd time's a charm; and indeed it was! Enjoyed Matt's enthusiasm, technique, logic and tools extraordinaire.
