chicken caesar wrap

I ordered a latte for $6 and chicken caesar wrap for $18 with few people inside. My wrap and coffee took 22mins. My wrap has one piece of chicken in it. Tastes like a chicken caesar wrap, but 20$ for a wrap is not justified when there is one piece of chicken in it. slow kitchen and overall mediocre food

Asked for no sauce on this sandwich but it had an exorbitant amount of sauce on it...bummer

This is a nice cafe coffeehouse blocks away from a major Howard University dormitory building. My daughter and I decided to try something here as she is a regular customer with her friends. We were on the way to the airport and we had not had the chance to eat all morning. I ordered the Unido Burger and a Vanilla Latte. My daughter ordered their breakfast sandwich, no sauce and a prepacked retail juice. My daughter's breakfast sandwich came out with an exorbitant amount of the sauce on it, and that is not as it was ordered. She took some time to wipe off the sauce because we didn't have time for them to make another one. She went ahead and ate as much as she could've, but it was not ideal. I just think that what if she was allergic to something or could not have the ingredients she asked to not be on the sandwich???....scary. The Unido Burger was a small good quality beef patty that had BBQ sauce, cheese, and red onions on a small brioche bun. It came with fries. It was very tasty and the fries were a hit. The staff is very kind. Halfway through our dining, the rest of our party showed up with our luggage. So we were able to store it in the cafe with us. My Iced Vanilla Latte was good a my daughter enjoyed her packaged juice. This was a good experience, despite no WiFi allowed. I had an opportunity to use the open non-gender restroom and it was clean.

this Saturday morning we tried @cafeunidousa & @cafeunido in Shaw, Washington, DC feat. a ORANGE RASPADURA LATTE and EL BREAKFAST WRAP with scrambled eggs, cheese, kidney beans Panama Style, avocado, (hold the bacon), concolon (crispy rice) and sofrito aioli --- which gets a 10/10 from us! however, $17 for a moderately sized breakfast wrap is a little high IMO and the baristas vibe seemed a bit uptight

Solid spot! Really in between a 4 and 5... the beignets are meh and the egg was overcooked on my sandwich, but everything else was great! Super cute and they have a side that's laptop friendly and a side that's laptop free - cool vibe! Great service.

The largest location in D.C. of this coffee shop from Panama, if you love coffee with cool vibes, go to Unido just off of U Street NW. Open every day until 5 p.m., they sell a full coffee menu with a few food options. Stopping in on a Friday in May around 3 p.m., there was a steady flow of customers, but I was still able to get a seat. They have tables, bar seating, and window seating. Only waiting for about five minutes, my latte was strong and yet creamy. There are two restrooms in the back and free Wi-Fi for customers. (The Wi-Fi password is on the receipt.)

Pork belly burger

Amazing place for coffee, food, and remote working! I had an iced lavender latte and the pork belly burger and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of both. The latte was perfectly rich with a great lavender taste that wasn't too subtle or too overpowering. It was also just the right sweetness for me. The pork belly burger comes with your choice of fries, yuca fries, or salad. The fries were delicately crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside, and were well seasoned. I also really liked the ketchup that came with it, which was less sweet than a typical ketchup and had almost a salsa-esque taste. The burger was delicious - I loved that the pulled pork had a slight crispiness which gave it an almost bacon-like texture and taste, and the combination of the pork with the pickles and slaw was so good. They only allow laptops at the bar and window, but they do have ample seating/table space at both areas so I don't think it would be too much trouble to find a spot (although it might be a bit cramped if every single spot was filled). Besides that, they have other tables and booths for people just trying to enjoy their coffee or meal. The space has great natural lighting and is not overly noisy, making it a great space to work or chill! Definitely will be back to try other menu items.

Seeing as to how highly rated this coffee shop was, I had to swing by, and am so glad I did!! It's tucked away in a cozy little nook inside La Cosecha in Union Market. This iced vanilla bean latte was one of the BEST vanilla lattes I've had in the DMV (and I've had copious amounts), and I absolutely loved this. The vanilla bean flavor is subtle and not overwhelming, adding just the right amount of sweetness to the ratio of milk and espresso, which was unbelievably smooth and the perfect level of light creaminess. The space is small, but there's also seating outside as well. Staff were not the friendliest I'll say, but the coffee makes up for it. I will most definitely be coming back here to try their other specialty latte, the orange raspadura (orange peel & cane sugar). Can't wait to come back!

Super cute coffee shop with good food! They take cash and card which is great because a lot of places are x'ing out cash when it comes to coffee shops. I ordered the unido burger that comes with fries. My only complaint is that the portion should be a lot bigger. It's giving kid friendly but when I say the burger is sooooo good!!! It's delicious !!! Def a must try place for coffee and food. Initiate cute place to work out of. Check it out

I was excited to see that Unido opened a second location. They have excellent coffee and make one of the best lattes in the city. Service is always friendly and on my recent brunch visit, it was fairly lively. I'm partial to their vanilla latte, which I usually drink hot, which is rare for me. Their croissants are good. I believe that they do not start serving their food menu until 9, so if you go before that, you are limited to the bakery case. I recently went for brunch. I really, really enjoyed their Geisha Martini, which is an espresso martini. I want to try their Coffee Megroni next. I got the chicken tamale empanadas and carimanolas. I love a cornmeal crust empanada and these were delicious. I enjoyed the carimanolas too. My friend loved his burger. I wished they'd offer Panamanian tortillas, like the La Cosecha location used to have. I loved those so much. I'm looking forward to returning and trying more of Unido's offerings.

had an americano and a breakfast sandwich without the bacon - both were awesome. i was super hungry after having woken up early to study for finals without eating anything and this sandwich really hit the spot. can't wait to come back and try some other stuff... or maybe just get the breakfast sandwich again

I finally got a chance to sit down at UNIDO and I'm so glad I did. They recently implemented a new rule where laptop/folks working have to sit at the bar which is amazing because I can actually enjoy my food and drink at a table! I truly think this is one of the best improvements they have made. The breakfast wrap was SO delicious. There is a crispy rice or crispness that was so so good. And the hot sauce is AMAZING! It was very busy so I had to wait a bit to order but the staff was friendly. They ran out of vanilla syrup so I substituted rosemary for my latte and it turned out to be delicious. It's a great vibe inside if you can grab a seat. Can't wait to come back!

Huevos skillet with sourdough and a vanilla latte
Sarah G.

Yummmm, this place is dreamy. The Huevos skillet is similar to a shakshuka which I am a sucker for... everything about it was flavorful and delicious. I got it with sourdough, but there are a few other options to choose from! Also, get the hot sauce!!! The latte was also phenomenal, not too sweet with a smooth espresso. The setup is nice because there is a designated area for laptops. The staff were very friendly and accommodating for our questions. My only qualm was that both the items could've been a little hotter, especially considering the Huevos came in a skillet! Overall, this is a great little breakfast spot!

Unido breakfast sando and vanilla bean pancakes
Loveena K.

UNIDO is one of the best cafes in dc and we're so fortunate to live right across and enjoy it as regulars. The vanilla latte is my go to for coffee and for food, you can't go wrong with any of their choices. My husband claims the unido breakfast sando is his favorite savory breakfast item in the city. I can't get enough of the vanilla bean pancakes so we compromise and share both for the ultimate sweet and savory experience. The ambiance is always mellow and the staff are friendly!

Cute space, but not well managed--weirdly slow just to get coffee. Also the wifi is terrible so don't try to use a laptop here.

I paired this with ROASTED STRAWBERRY. They literally roast the strawberries before adding to the gelato. It tastes like real strawberries! It was phenominal, and my favorite of the two if I had to pick. My daughter ordered the PISTACHIO falvor, a traditional gelato offering. It was extra dense while creamy delicious. I sampled the OLIVE OIL soft serve. It tasted predominantly like vanilla. I wouldn't order this one. Expect a long line coming out of the storefront. It moves reasonably quick and is worth the wait! Parillada was a hearty entree and probably best for 2-3 people. This amount of food altogether was just nice. We probably could have ordered one more thing to be extra full.
