A quick walk and you're inside to enjoy the art. My visit was spoiled by starbucks patrons who don't belong. You have you're $9 coffee and over priced breakfast and trek the block to outside firehook to sit. You don't belong, simple. Go back to starbucks and sit there. Firehook/DuPont coffee collective patrons belong in the seats outside the cafe. Not you. I will continue to patronize the local provider vs corporate greed in the form of starbucks (we hire illegals over veterans) stance.

The display cases showcasing beautifully decorated sweet treats. Cookies, Bars, Brownies, Blondies & Pastries. I purchased a large thin Chocolate Chip Cookie, Caramel Bar & Blondie. Yes they look delightful. The Chocolate Chip Cookie tender, crispy w/rich chocolate flavor, the Caramel Bar sweet, gooey caramel & the Blondie rich chocolate flavor & tender pecans. He repeatedly forgets orders, starts drinks and then dumps them when he realizes he is making the wrong item, and picks fights with customers who are patiently waiting an interminable amount of time for him to make something correctly. I have seen him yelling at customers multiple times who were just standing there waiting, not even complaining. The whole vibe is so unpleasant in the place now, and atmosphere should be the main drawing point. There are plenty of excellent, welcoming coffeeshops in the city, I just can't see a reason to come back anymore.

The space itself is only big enough to fit a handful of people at a time (with no seating) but it's great for a grab and go experience. While I've never actually had any of the soft serve that people rave about, their coffee bar drinks are great. There are plenty black owned and women owned establishments in the area that give better experiences . We went over to Sankofas where I know the service is top tier.
