Great BBQ joint, very different from all the other restaurants in the area. We had the brisket and pulled chicken and the Mac and cheese with jalapeño and bacon. The brisket was fall apart tender and delicious, the chicken was great and we had the bourbon sauce. The sauce was a little sweet but it was still good. I was also happy to see that there was a bar, online it does not mention that. The prices for the meat were a little expensive, but from other BBQ type places that seemed reasonable. Went to this restaurant after smelling the awesome aroma while shopping. I love some good BBQ ribs and decided to take my grandma here for dinner. It was a little bit of a wait because the place was packed (which is also a good sign) but it was so worth it! All the staff were awesome and very friendly. Our waiter recommended all the good stuff. I always love when my waiter is knowledgeable about the food they are serving. I believe his name was Daniel. We got the collard greens, which were so good! Best greens I've had at a restaurant. The jalapeno Mac & Cheese was awesome! Wish we had more ribs because they were excellent but it was plenty for us in the end. The difference between Uncle Bo's and a chain BBQ restaurant is obvious. The care and pride they take in their food shines through in every bite. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is friendly if not stellar, and all of that falls far behind the taste. The brisket melts in your mouth, the sauce enhances what was already a fantastic cut of meat, and even the baked beans were spectacular. We got here a little early, in the area following the amazing smells coming off the grills. "Uncle Pete" was the most hospitable guy I've met in this town, and he treated us like family. We went here for lunch today and both had the pulled pork sandwiches, and they were EXCELLENT! The service was excellent and prompt, and you can sample the different meats to see if you like them before you order them. We spend part of the year in North Carolina and there is a smokehouse in Southport which we always thought was the best. NOT ANYMORE! This place definitely is a little better. Super yummy food!! I overheard the chef and I believe I heard him say he was classically trained and by the taste of the food...it shows. I tried the cheeseburger and my husband had the brisket. Both were simply delicious! I highly recommend this place for their yummy BBQ, and their super cool atmosphere. It's not on the main drag, so make sure you follow the MapQuest directions to get there. I hope to see a hometown license plate from Illinois soon. I think that was my only complaint. By far the best restaurant in bullhead city I've been to. 5/5 rating. Fast service great people. Came in right before closed and stayed till over an half hour closed. Friday Aug. 9, we were a party of 9 and got seated in a reasonable amount of time,that's when things went bad. Our server was nice and took our orders timely and about 1/2 hour later 5 of our party was served. The other 4 in our party had to wait 20+ minutes to be served. My wife and I go out to eat every Friday night and heard the food was good as we love BBQ and we both have worked at a BBQ restaurant in Missouri years ago. We tried Uncle Bo's for the first time and it was pretty good. We ordered a family dinner "Bubba meat sampler" for $68.99. The meats are the best, you can't go wrong with anything you pick, they were perfectly done, tender and juicy. However, that is their focus, the meat. The sides were less than disireable, baked beans were under cooked and bland, the greens were too watery and bland, and the cornbread muffins would have been good minus the stick of butter melted down each muffin. We also ordered fries because our waitress said there was a good amount to share... No, all the side that came with the dinner were a single serving. And the dinner only came with 2 sides so we paid an extra $4 for one side that was a single serving and not good. If I could order a combo with just meat I would for a little less than what we paid. Our waitress didn't take off the extra side when we told her we didn't like it. And also for a BBQ joint they are stingy with extra BBQ. The waitress said she could only bring out 2 extra ramekins of BBQ sauce. Our bill was $80 for 3 people, the meat was excellent but everything else was subpar. I don't know if we will be back because it was sooo expensive, and for that price everything should be good. We may get to-go and order meat by the pound and pick up sides elsewhere. read more

Our party of four all had baby back ribs. All of us loved them. There was not one crumb left on any of our plates. The macaroni and cheese was delicious. The owner was gracious and our waitress was very pleasant. They've only been open a few days and I think they are busier than they expected to be. All I can say is "Wow! What a pleasant surprise in Bullhead City!" As a full time BHC resident we are always in search of local restaurants worthy of our time and money, and I'm pleased to say Uncle Bo's definitely fits the bill. My husband ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of mac and cheese, I had brisket and pulled pork (4oz. of each) and our friend had the brisket sandwich and a side of fries. The brisket was delicious as was the pulled pork. Both seasoned to perfection and smoked perfectly. The fries were the best we've had in a long time, fresh cut and fried to order. And to top things off they have a nice selection of craft beers including our favorite; Flagstaff brewery Motherload's Tower Station!
