Great brisket, smoked meats sausage and pulled pork. Great service with a friendly smile. Rustic ambiance very casual. Will definitely will return for the smoked. read more

Food 4 Stars Service 2 Stars It takes a LOT to convince me to award a "less than 20%" tip. Most times, it's more, but after taking the order, we never saw the waitress. My wife found a container of utensils after the meals were delivered by the kitchen staff without forks. The runner gave us take out trays. She eventually dropped off the check without a comment about her absence. That said, the food was good. My wife enjoyed her pulled chicken and I liked the pulled pork. Both of us enjoyed the coleslaw and greens sides. We'd come back. We only wonder if there will be a waitress. read more

The atmosphere is pretty cool here with an inviting exterior and nicely decorated lodge-y feel inside. We chose a high top table to accommodate a party of six. The table was fine but the barstools left something to be desired. Menu was promising and I was excited to try the Saturday's special - Prime Rib. Sadly it had sold earlier in the evening so I settled on the ribeye. It was good but at $32 for this area I expect better than good. They were also out of any red wines which was also surprising for 7pm on a Saturday night. My wife chose their special house margarita which was served in a rocks glass and cost $14. Not bad, but not worth the cost. All in all, it was a decent dinner in a cool place, but there is room for improvement in pricing, seating and inventory. read more

I love the food well cooked great flavor tender, and I'm not even embellishing because I have to post 85 characters

The brisket dinner is to die for. Baked beans and Mac and cheese. Definitely will come back. The service is quick and friendly.

Food was delicious. Got the brisket. The only part that's difficult is if you come with a large party, they don't take reservations so you're definitely gonna have a long wait before you can get seated, but the food is delicious. read more

Glad I was able to dine in. I've gotten chicken wings to go here from the past and was not impressed at all. The dining experience was much better. I still wouldn't order the chicken wings. However, all of the barbecue was on point the Nashville shredded chicken was spicy and very good. The collard greens were amazing. Service was awesome and meals came out prompt. read more

Even though I grew up near here, this was my first time finally visiting! It was quiet for a Friday night so we got seated right away with a party of four. We all ordered tall beer and it was delicious! For appetizers we split the pretzel sticks and the cheese sauce was so yummy. The best part was my dinner. I am always nervous to get Mac and cheese with meat since I've had bad experiences where it cost a lot but then only one piece of meat was provided, this was amazing. I had leftovers for the next day. Super cheesy and the brisket was so moist. Will come back. read more

One of my favorite restaurants! The food was perfect, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was excellent! Overall 10/10 (5.0 stars) no complaints at all! (My review from Google maps) read more

Best smoked ribs, pulled pork and wings in Medina County Ohio. Excellent wait staff. Service wasfast and food was hot.

We recently had a very disappointing dinner. The ribs were served barely room temperature and had to go back. The waitress was very nice and told me she replaced the rack of ribs and didn't just reheat them. The new ribs were hot but they were dry and not flavorful (except for the overly peppery sauce). My husband ordered the steak. It was so fatty that much of it was left on the plate as inedible. We didn't even want to take the leftovers home. I doubt we will return. read more

They no longer carry Microbrew of the same namesake. Perhaps the brothers had a fallout? No one can tell me why. They served me dried out wings left over from the weekend on a Tuesday. So, just like that, you lost me as a customer and you lost my referrals. read more

We love this place in western Medina. To be fair, they had me at smokehouse and brewery. Nice main room with a good sized bar and more seating ii a room to the left as you enter the place. We were seated right away on a Saturday in a late lunch slot. Our group had three couples. Our server was very friendly, watched us for drink refills, knew the menu and offered opinions. Perfect service. I had a half-rack of ribs with a side of beans. The char on the ribs was just how I like it. Cornbread was delicious. My partner enjoyed her brisket - delicious and juicy. I had a couple of beers: house drafts of their Savage stout and peanut butter stout. Both were solid representations of the style. I slightly preferred the peanut butter stout: good PB flavor but the malty char was still present. Great place to try if you like barbecue. read more

This has been a favorite place of ours ever since we moved here 13 years ago, but today that changed!!! We ordered the wings, I remember the first time we were there the menu stated "the best wings you will ever have" and that they were, simply the BEST.... but todays were not even warm and as tough as could be, couldn't even get the meat off the bone!! The Boar Tails, which I get almost every time were HALF the size they used to be and lacked the cheese!!! The pretzel sticks were good and the best part of our lunch... Also the service was very good. We left very sad knowing our favorite little place is no longer good!! read more

Well, when I left home to meet my wife at loggerheads for dinner, I encountered a number of things that made the visit uncomfortable. First and foremost was parking. There is an entrance and an exit, the parking lot is gravel and rather narrow, and does not have marked spaces. I entered with a small Honda SUV and had difficulty turning into a space because there were long and short vehicles stacked one after the other. Once I found a space I headed towards the front door, and met my wife. Upon entering people door, we came into a nice, fairly cool air conditioned area that had the bar and a cooler of chilled water. It is there that you place your drink and food orders. Then when it's ready, they come out, call your name and give it to you. After you enter the bar, you turn immediately left and you go through another set of doors into the brewing room. I have to say that the first thing that hit me was the sheer heat of the room, not the fact that hey there are these big tanks holding beer. There is absolutely no air conditioning in this room, except for a few ceiling fans. In fact when you look up, it's not even insulated. The fans are attached to the Apex of the roof and you can see all the wood rafters. I'm sure during the cooler months it's very nice, but on a day that it's 85+ degrees outside, it was a veritable oven. I drank at least four glasses of water (my wife had 2 light beers), and I had to excuse myself twice because I felt like I was going to pass out. The only saving grace was the pizza because it had salt to help replenish what I was losing sitting there. The pizza was excellent: pepperoni, bacon & onion, but a tad too greasy. Maybe that's to get people to buy more beer? We won't be going back anytime soon. read more

First time there. Charming place, nice vibes but food was very disappointing. My half slab was way overcooked and very dry. Sauce was carmelized but had trouble cutting the meat. No smoke flavor. Cole slaw had little or no flavor. Wife had smoked brisket which she said was not dry but flavorful. Her baked beans were outstanding, but that was the high point of our dinner. Liked the country location, but not sure I'll give them another try. read more

We've been going to lagerheads for many many years. I have no complaints about the food. It's always been consistent. This location stopped selling its own beer!!! You can't get lagerheads beer at lagerheads! That ridiculous!! I was so looking forward to their seasonal Sunshine Blue beer. Nope... none of their own beers are at this location. Truly disappointed. It's a regular bar/restaurant now. The main attraction is no longer. Make that make sense. read more

Great food, good experience. We were surprised how quickly we got seated on a weekend. We would recommend!

the absolute worst brisket i've had in years. it was like 3 days old and tough as h*ll

Yum! They added a patio since Covid, that was nice. Its nothing crazy, but a great place to enjoy the open air. Our waitress was definitely overworked and so incredibly kind. We had been siting for a bit and I was just about to say something and she said, "you aren't my table but it looks like you've been sitting there for a while, I'm happy to take over". Even though she was exhausted she made conversation and made our experience even more enjoyable. The brisket is always fantastic and the wings are the best! read more

Absolutely fabulous Bar-B-que. My wife had a chicken salad, I had the Wedge Salad with bar-b-que, friends had the dinners pulled pork, other chicken. They were actually fighting over not being able to have more than of a taste of the other's! Highly recommended, food, taste/temp, service, fairly priced. Ambience is appropriate for the type of food. We came from Avon, when going, be sure not to tap the Brewery, not the same place even though they share a similar name. read more

Hubby and I came here for lunch, I ordered the boar tails which were really good. He ordered the brisket sandwich which looked really good and he enjoyed it. We have been here 1 time before but it was years ago so we wanted to try it out again. Our waitress was really nice and very attentive, we sat on the bar side of the restaurant. Nothing special about the decor, it's your basic barbecue style restaurant but the food is superb. read more

Took the family to Lagerheads for our first meal in a restaurant in nearly three months. Upon arrival, we waited outside for 15 minutes for a table. Once a table was available, we were seated a good distance from the next party, which is nice. They had a makeshift screen up to separate tables as well. I ordered a sample of five beers as this is my first visit to Lagerheads. My favorite beer was the Bedhead Red. As an appetizer, I ordered a bowl of beer cheese soup, which was delish. For dinner, I ordered a steak wrap with sweet potato tots. My meal was delicious. I found myself wanting a little more steak in the wrap, but it was tasty, nonetheless. The menu was full of items that I wanted to taste. I tasted the brisket and chicken and they both had a nice smoky flavor. The meal and service were very good. We'll be back! read more

We took our parents out to dinner and wanted to go someplace they have never been before. I have been here once before. It was pretty busy for a Sunday evening, but we didn't have to wait long for a table. The hostess was pretty accommodating because they tried to seat us at a high top with stools that don't have backs and with being 8 months pregnant, my husband knew my back wouldn't be able to handle it. They seated us at a different table. We got the deviled eggs as an appetizer and they were the best deviled eggs we have ever had. The pulled pork sandwich was tasty, too, and there was plenty for lunch the next day. My husband enjoys the variety of beer they have. They put the incorrect burger in for my husband's order, so he had to wait for his to come out when the rest of us were already eating. read more

We had the lager fries for an appetizer. They were decent. Nacho cheese type sauce on fries with bacon and onions. The fries were good We both got the sampler for dinner. My sides were Mac and Cheese and a salad. Hubs had baked beans and cornbread. The salad was crazy leaves and the ranch dressing was just ok. My pork was dry. The brisket was yummy as were the ribs. It was all decent but not great. read more

This is a local bar and restaurant, the service was good. I think their basics would be good but somethings they're reaching a bit. The nachos were good, but very greasy chips. The pulled pork on then was tasty. The prime rib was ok, not fantastic. Not as tender as it should have been. They have a good beer and limited wine selection. The carrot cake was excellent. Moist and flavorful. read more

Not a great experience at Lagerheads. We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday, where we were one of 4 tables. Prompted seated by the hostess, but then waiting nearly 10 minutes for our server. During this time, 3 or 4 staff members walked past us with no acknowledgment. The fried green tomato appetizer was 3 very small pieces of heavily breaded tomato. My husband enjoyed his wings, but we both found my Sloppy BBQ sandwich to be dry and tough. I'm not one to load up on extra sauce, but it was necessary. read more

We only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table on a Saturday night. Reservations are not accepted, so choose your arrival time wisely. Our server was Laura, and she was fantastic, but oversat so we didn't see her a ton. Even she found out it was our first visit, she offered suggestions on what beers she thought we would like. She was very friendly and welcoming. We started with the smoked deviled eggs. They were fantastic! Smooth filling and served with jalapeño slices and some candied (?) bacon. Great balance of salty and sweet. Then we shared the sampler which was a portion of ribs, pork loin, brisket, and pulled pork. My favorite was the brisket. We also got some sides to supplement all that meat. I enjoyed the dill cole slaw. The beer was good too. The lager was my favorite, and the peanut butter stout was a close second. I took one star off because of our table. either the stools were too low or the table was too high. It was very uncomfortable and we ended up standing half the time. read more

it never feels good to update a good review with a negative review, but i don't understand what's happened w/ the kitchen here. the BBQ used to be good, however, the pulled port went from fantastic to downright terrible. Danielle and I had dinner here last night and i ordered a longtime favorite - the Sloppy BBQ sandwich and all i could taste was grease. the bottom of the bun nearly disintegrated due to being so soggy w/ grease. i suspect they're pulling pre-cooked pork from the refrigerator and throwing it on the flattop to heat it through and adding oil when pork is already oily enough and requires no more. anyway, been feeling like hell all day today as a result. on a positive note, the appetizers are good. we had smoked deviled eggs and boars tails and both were fantastic. Lagerhead's BBQ sauce is delicious and had i not spent so much money on dinners, apps and beers I'd have bought a bottle to go. in short, if we go back it'll be for appetizers. i won't be buying BBQ here anymore. read more

We were very excited to try this place and drove 25 minutes to get here. The service was outstanding. It is very rustic and a nice country feel(as that was the music playing also). The Cuban was just ok. The brisket platter was just ok. I liked Mac n cheese. Their Prism hazy New England IPA was delicious. The beer cheese soup was pretty good. read more

We stopped in today to inquire about catering for our upcoming wedding reception. We had a good meeting with John and then sat at the bar to try some menu items. First, we ordered a flight of 5 beers. Then, we decided to try the Smokehouse Sampler and the Hickory Smoked Chicken Half (herb crusted). Oh my goodness, the amount of food we ordered was more than enough for 3 people! We tried the sides: the sweet potato tator tots, baked beans, coleslaw and macaroni and cheese. The macaroni was the only item that was so-so, all other sides were absolutely delicious! Moving on to the pulled pork: comes with bbq sauce on the side, but it is not needed! It is full of flavor and Smokey. The ribs are meaty and large...my fiancé described them as candy. Smokey, sweet, great char - a really good rib. The wings were fall off the bone tender and we enjoyed the sauce we chose. The brisket...where do I start? It is thick sliced but you can cut it with a fork. Full of Smokey flavor and yummy with their sweet BBQ sauce. Lastly, we tried the chicken, which was full of flavor and the presentation was a thing of beauty. My fiancé got a gigantic slice of carrot cake to bring home and just tried it a little - said it is one of the best he's ever had. We are pretty confident we found our caterer for our reception based on this meal today. We had great service from Amy, KP and John. Cannot wait to come back again! read more

Went to Lagereheads BBQ yesterday after golfing at Shale Creek. There were six of us that placed our orders to an unhappy waiter! We started out with beers and shots on the rocks after which we placed our food orders. Two of us ordered their brisket dinners and one of us ordered a half slab of ribs. The brisket was not very tender on both dinners and the ribs needed a chain saw to cut them as they were very dry. Upon notifying our waiter we were treated with rudeness and were told not to say anything because the owner's daughter was bartending although I was quiet when notifying him of our concerns. Needless to say after patronizing Lagerheads BBQ many times over the last twenty years I will not be going there again!!! I'll be going to Mission BBQ in Brunswick and Butchs Saloon in North Royalton! read more

Since you deleted my post on Facebook with no response maybe this will get your attention. You did us wrong Saturday for dinner with our friends who will not return because of your management's lack of integrity. We arrived at your place at 4:00 for you prime rib dinner. Our usual server was great she set up our order well ahead of all others. But you bumped it for larger parties and take out. What are you thinking we have been dining with you for years now and introduced a number of our friends to your business; shame how dismissive your management reacted. I don't think we will return. I guess the good things don't last forever. read more

Update: I hate to drop a business from 4 to 1 stars but the last 3 times I have been there (and brought friends that I have bragged to about the quality of the food) I have been so dissatisfied that I won't return. I gave it 3 tries and wanted it to be good again but the food has consistently been dry, overcooked and/or burnt to the point that it is black and like charcoal. I'm not talking about a good grilled and crispy outer crunch. My daughter ordered the Mac n Cheese. How do you ruin Mac n Cheese? It was dry, very little cheese or cream or something to make them more than cooked noodles. We asked if they would add some cheese or something it came back no better than it left. The wait staff is still great, the beer tasty but the cooks need to be replaced before I will return :( I love this place. Would never have known they were there except for a friend who took me there. Fun atmosphere, especially on the weekend it does a great business. The food is excellent, although expect to clog an artery. Mostly very fatty foods. They make their own beer and it is good. The BEST WINGS I have ever eaten are here. Do yourself a favor and order the regular hot wings. I have tried a few of the other "more interesting flavors" but was always disappointed that I didn't get the regular hot ones. And the wings are the full sized ones, so a half order is always enough for me. Service is always good but expect to wait a little bit to get a table on the weekends b/c as I said, they get busy. read more
