Walked in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Place was dead. Surprised if they see spring, especially with the service the followed. Was looking to just get myself lunch, but had restaurant dot com coupon for $10 off a $20 order, so I asked for a combination of pulled pork and brisket. After waiting 20 minutes, the food was ready and I went to pay. However, the guy running the joint (only guy in the place) looked at me like I had 2 heads and then proceeded to tell me the owner disagrees with the verbiage on the coupon. I need to buy $20 to get $10 free in his opinion. So now my $10 lunch I stretched into $20 for this coupon has become $30. Needless to say, the guy didn't offer up another $10 in food, but accepted me walking away in disgust. Life's too short to deal with crooks. read more

I'm gonna give this place 4 stars only because their quantity doesn't match the price . I ordered the rib tip dinner fabulous tasting meat , tender and had great seasoning. The Cole slaw was the bomb excellent not overly creamy . The collard greens off the chain , and Mac and cheese excellent had that little crumble on top . The fries quantity was skimpy , and they just need to put a little more . If you go anywhere you get more fries then that with bbq . The food is excellent don't let the four stars take from anything food is excellent, and restaurant is clean . The inside has a few tables for dine in . The lady was very helpful and friendly. 2 sides for 10 is steep . I will return they say the cat fish is off the hook . I must also say Bbq sauce is great meat is seasoned so well you don't need sauce. read more

I was beyond satisfied with everything we got. The baked beans were fantastic, some of the best I've had. I'm not even a huge fan of ribs but I loved them. They had so much meat and the flavor was awesome. My family who do love ribs ate past the point of full because they loved them so much. We got the Mac and cheese too, which to go is often very disappointing. This was not the case, the seasoning was really good and not at all mushy like a lot of to go Mac and cheese. We also tried the pulled pork which was my favorite. I am really excited to go back and try more of the menu! I thought the service was great too. I ordered online through grubhub and received a phone call about my order from the restaurant. It took as long as I would expect a really great meal to take. I definitely don't think bbq should be rushed, and it tasted like it was made with a lot of care. read more

As a former television investigative reporter, it takes a lot to impress, much less fool me. The BBQ ribs here are the best Plus, the service with Nate, the owner, and Ellie, is wonderful. In a word lousy! My wife and I shared a half slab of ribs, pulled pork sandwich, cole slaw, beans, and mac and cheese. The ribs were very fatty with little meat and with a decent sauce. The pulled pork lacked flavor. The beans tasted straight out of a can. The cole slaw was uneventful. Mac and cheese was decent. The service was not very good, not at all friendly or welcoming. I eat here constantly, ribs and brisket are my favorite. There's never much fat, it taste good, the meats not over cooked/ undercooked, the fries are perfectly cooked too, never soggy, never burnt. By far my fav bbq spot, highly recommend to anyone that wants some good food. read more

I love supporting small businesses and I really wanted to like this place due to living close by! The first time me and my fiancé went there the fish was raw. It was clearly not cooked all the way. I really wanted to give this place a second chance. I've worked in the food industry and I can understand "mess ups". The second time, the ribs were tough and the Mac and cheese was cold and tasted like it was sitting out for days. Called and ordered two slabs of babt back ribs with two sides each. Total price: $64.00 aka grand rip-off. The rib sauce was very good, but the ribs were the worst we've ever eaten! They were about 8" long, loaded with fat, and the meat was chewy. When I called I was told they never have baby back ribs, so I couldn't have ordered them. What we were told is that they were St. Louis ribs, but like none I've ever seen. Most of the ribs landed in the trash. As for sides, we love soul food and one side was collard greens. Those, too, were tossed out. The ham in the greens was full of bone, and the taste was terrible. The slaw was iffy; however the mac & cheese was good as well as the potato salad. They seemed to come from GFS, but unsure if they did. When this place first opened, it was great. New ownership now, but NEVER would we go back. The price and the quality felt like rape! read more

They don't cook what they have on their menu been calling up there to order something but it's either they didn't cook the Mac and cheese or they didn't cook the greens or the corn bread and they just tell you there isn't any but they really just didn't cook it. I don't get that take it off your menu if your not gonna serve it read more

Brisket was tough and fat. I chewed what I could then spit it out and took it home to my dog. We ate in, there was no air conditioning. It was very uncomfortable. They advertise cole slaw and potato salad as sides but don't have them. The sides they have are not fit for consumption. Terrible experience. read more

I went here due to initially going to subway but they caught my attention. Initially walking in I see the chalk board with the writing of food and orders and then i ask for a to go menu and was told that they don't offer menus but I can go online to see their menu up close. I love brisket and was going to ask for that until I heard they were out for that day. Luckily I was able to find something I would like to try being the pulled pork and that was delicious. If I could give this place a 0 star rating that still wouldn't be good enough. First the 12 yr old working the register couldn't even tell me what was on the BBQ chicken wrap. she looked at me like I was stupid and then said "oh ill go ask".. Then I waited ~5 more minutes for her to come back to the register. After that I asked her what was on the smoked burger, she said lettuce, onion, tomato, cheese and bacon... I said "OK sounds great, lets do that", come to find out, they don't have bacon, cheese or coleslaw.. Meanwhile, I hear the cook telling the adolescent to tell me there is no bacon, he asks her 4 more times if she told me, finally she pokes through the door and says "we don't have bacon" and I never got any onion on my burger either. To top it off, I was never asked how I wanted my burger done, well it came out rare. So now i have a tomato and lettuce rare burger which was in pieces on the bun.
