We wandered into Boss ChickNBeer for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. It took only a minute to figure out why. The staff were so engaging and friendly. They made everyone feel at home and truly looked like they enjoyed their jobs. We ordered at the counter and they called our name when the food was ready. The food was delicious. We both took advantage of the free peach iced tea. It was the perfect compliment to the chicken. There were plenty of seats. The bar was full. I think because people liked talking to the staff. As we were leaving the woman behind the bar said goodbye and addressed us by name. It was our first time in there. We will be going back. read more

Walked in "late" on a Wednesday night (9ish) and we were the only folks there. Sat at the bar and chatted up the guys working. They were very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Clearly liked working there. Food was delicious. Wings and tenders were excellent. Sauces were on the side. Good, balanced flavors. The only complaint is that maybe the onion rings were a little too much. A little too big and a little too battered, didn't necessarily cook evenly. The mac and cheese was an interesting take and tasty. This place has definitely surprised me! I wasn't expecting to be greeted with such enthusiasm! And then get presented with delicious food to match the energy! We came here before heading to the airport because it was close and the reviews looked great. My family thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and food! We ordered the traditional chicken wings, chorizo dip, and the chicken sandwich. Everything we have tried was phenomenal! The chorizo queso wasn't too spicy in my mind but may be a little spicy to a toddler. The chicken was so good and even better when dipped in honey mustard or ranch. Their chicken sandwich was a masterpiece, crunchy on the outside and juicy and tender in the inside. And the amount of flavor in it satisfied my craving. I downed my food with a margarita and gosh was this delicious!! I was very tempted to get another but had to be responsible because it was a week day. This place was kid friendly which made it easier to enjoy our experience. We enjoyed it so much we ended up coming back the following week to try something else on their menu. First of all, the workers were incredibly friendly this Saturday evening. Everyone said hi and welcome and goodbye to the guests. They were extremely attentive. You can watch the staff cook while sitting in the bar stools and they are not lazy, efficient, motivated, and very hard working. It was so refreshing to see such good work ethic. The chicken tenders were well seasoned and very moist inside. They were also huge pieces of chicken which I appreciated. Thank you for not price gouging the vegan choices!! The vegan menu was exactly the same as the regular menu with the same pricing - which is very uncommon and very much appreciated! The portion sizes are generous as well. The flavors are good together. The staff were very kind and attentive. They have a lovely local beer list and cocktails on tap which are also make from local distillery's, pretty cool keeping it local. After ordering the food came out hot and ready to enjoy. I enjoyed trying the different sauces which were all unique. The only thing I didn't like was the high top seats, they were not comfortable. I guess this is an update to my previous one. Visited here again tonight and everything is just the same. Quality chicken, great staff (super friendly and talkative), and a neat environment to enjoy it all in. The tenders are super sized! Sides are still on the smallish size, but still tasty! Meh. So much hype about this but my wife and siblings left rather disappointed. However... all the food was quite lack luster. We got an 8 pack of tenders, 2 sides, and 4 sauces and not sure we liked any of it. The breading on the tenders was just kind of mushy. No crispiness or bite to them. The flavor of the breading was very bland. Didn't taste any spiced. All the sauces were super runny and I didn't think any were that good. The fries didn't have any salt or seasoning and were just okay. The brussel sprouts weren't fully cooked and kind of hard and we ended up tossing them. First thing we noticed was that it was very small inside so getting a table seemed like it was merely luck. We managed to find a table to share with another couple and made it work. Sauces chosen: pineapple habanero, holy honey mustard, and citrus bbq. We enjoyed everything. Folks sensitive to spice be warned about the corn and sample the sauces just to be sure. The food here is amazing. 10 out of 10. Hawaiian chicken burger was the best chicken burger of my life. There's a stuffed sweet potato that's massive and really fresh and the onion rings actually taste like real onion rings and have such a good onion flavor. The first time I was here, the large tofu tenders and cauliflower wings were delicious. This second time, however, I wasted my money. The tofu cubes, (tenders are no longer on the menu), were smothered in vegan ranch which tasted and smelled like glue. I wish the sauce was served on the side since it was horrible. The vegan mac was extremely bland and the noodles were overcooked. The cauliflower wings were not cooked thoroughly and were coated with a sticky, pasty batter. The fries were half burnt with way too much salt. I am highly disappointed and will not be returning. read more

Hey, I got off work pretty late and was cutting it close in my arrival at Boss Chicken in Berea. The two guys on were great. They helped me with the menu as it was my first visit and never made me feel rushed or that I arrived near close. I settled on their Hawaiian Chicken sandwich. It was amazing, full of flavor and not to spicy. The sweet tea was refreshing and definitely sweet. I am already planning my next stop. Will and his guys were AWESOME! We tried a ghost tree not a hugger IPA he recommended which was excellent. I am a self admitted wing sob, having eaten wings in about every state. I really like crisp, juicy wings and these are THE BEST in Cleveland. Quaker steak and pub and winking lizard can't compare. Not even close. Came with my sister and her husband for a bite on a weekday. The menu is very limited and I had a hard time deciding what to get. I ended up splitting the platter with wings and tenders with sides and sauces with my sister. Her husband got the mac and cheese. The good: The service, everyone was very friendly The wings- very good be advised they wont serve them with sauce but you can get some for dipping. They support local for food and breweries. The dill ranch sauce was good. The queso mac was delicious. The not so great: The tenders, I just didn't like the breading at all. Not a lot of flavor besides pepper. Something about the flavor I just couldn't get into. The sauces- I tried 4. The lemon pepper bbq was weird and just not good. None if us liked it. The rage bbq was good but really spicy it overpowered everything. I know that some people would like this but to me I like to taste the food still. I was excited to try the cleveland gold but was disappointed. Also extremely spicy and I was looking more for that delicious carolina gold tang. Wish they had a regular bbq which I did not see. None of the sauces appealed to me and I love me some sauce. I would have gotten a chicken sandwich but they only have 2 plus a rotating special one on the menu. They are 13$ and don't even come with a side..ehh no thanks throw some fries in for that price. Overall friendly service and a few positives, but I thought this place was limited in selection and way overpriced.
