Great meal, super service by Ryan, and a fun atmosphere! I only photographed the starter- stuffed mushrooms- but everything was also beautifully and delicious! I had a fab butternut squash/kale/walnut salad with a side of fries and it was one of my favorite salads! Meatloaf and mashed potatoes was also a big hit!

Christmas bar For the holidays they decorated the one half of the restaurant in a festive vibe of Christmas lights, trees, poinsettias, Santa statues and other holiday decor. I highly recommend making reservations and letting them know what side you prefer. Making reservations is easy and they even send text and email reminders. They even had an acoustic music playing a mix of Christmas songs and alternative rock songs. As always the food was great!

Apple Brie Burger We both got this burger and soo good. Wish this new find wasn't almost 4 hours away from home. The truffle fries were perfectly seasoned, the truffle did not over power. Their fresh brewed iced tea was so good. Their draft, wine & cocktail was extensive and one martini that walked by look very good.

I was very impressed. We went early when they were not busy since I have 4 kids. They where super nice and even made us hand made lemonade when the machine went down. Food was delicious and worth the extra money they charged for it. I want to mention the kids meals where like adult portions and higher quality chicken, Mac and cheese, etc then normal kids meals but still kids meal prices! Great place, must go if your in the area. The ratittue, meat loaf, and gnocchi where delicious. The brussel sprouts where a huge hit with the kids!

When in downtown Sandusky, you can't find better food, better service, nor a better vibe than Shore…read moreHouse Tavern. The place radiates friendliness and you truly feel like a regular when you walk in, warmly greeted right away and taken care of the entire duration of your meal. My family had returned after a long day of theme park food and I needed something lite - and their seasonal salad was just what I needed. It was a very generous portion with some of my the sweetest strawberries I've ever had with candied walnuts, feta cheese, and a delicious vinaigrette to go along with it. Skip the theme park dining when you can - or at the very least, supplement it with this delicious cuisine and friendly service.

Our first night in Sandusky landed us in this small tavern right across Lake Erie…read more Very casual vibe and everyone was very accommodating but seemed overwhelmed. For an appetizer, we ordered the wedge salad and the Buffalo Chicken dip. I got the perch dinner for my main course. The kid got a chicken sandwich and my wife got the brisket Mac n cheese. They said that the kitchen was backed up. Honestly, it was totally not an issue. We were just relaxing, watching the game and chilling after a 7 hour drive from NJ. What was an issue was...... appetizers came out exactly the and time as the main courses. WHY????????? It couldn't have taken that long to throw blue cheese, bacon and tomatoes on a chunk of lettuce and pump out the Buffalo Chicken dip and then worry about the main courses later. Now we have to decide, do we want to eat the entrees or even touch the appetizers. That alone always ruins everything. Food was very good. Like I said, people were very nice but you just can't bring everything out at once. Defeats the point of "starting" with something.

Good music, good customer service, and a relaxed atmosphere. It's a great place to grab a drink, have a burger, and just sit and talk. Definitely a spot I'll be going back to.

For MY 1000th Yelp review (haha)…read more... I was in the area for something (a Yelp event maybe?), I needed dinner before driving back home, and I happened to walk by The Feve so I decided to stop in. I visited in June 2025 on a weekday evening, with fellow Yelper, Olga N. We were told that this restaurant in Oberlin has been open for 30 years which is amazing. It must be a staple in the community. FOOD - I ordered the Avocado Bacon Burger with a side salad ($15.50) and I think my friend ordered the same burger. The burger tasted delicious. The burger was juicy and it was a very thick-cut of meat. The avocado wasn't too fresh and it looked like a paste. The bacon was crispy. The small side salad was good and typical of a regular salad, consisting of mixed greens, shaved carrots, and cucumbers. Tomatoes would have been a nice addition. I forgot what dressing the salad came with. PARKING - Street parking only. SERVICE -- friendly and efficient. I asked for warm lemon water and it was brought right up. It wasn't a busy night especially since my friend and I arrived a bit later (around 7:45pm ish). FYI -- There are 2 sections of the establishment - Downstairs closes at 10pm - Upstairs closes at midnight but food ordering ends at 11pm The Feve is a popular restaurant amongst the Oberlin community, including students from nearby Oberlin college. While those living in Cleveland may not know about this restaurant, I'm glad that I ventured in. Stop on in and support this local business. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 159/250 total reviews in 2026 - 1000 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 12 July 2026

I believe you always have to see for yourself so I said sure let's do it. We had fun walking in looking around and checking out the old bank vault. When we first arrived there were people seated at the table in there but they left right after we were seated so we went in to get a closer look and take a couple pics. Our waitress came over right away and was friendly. She had just started working there a few weeks ago so she was honest when I asked her what her favorite menu item was. She pointed out a couple of sandwiches on their fall seasonal menu. I actually was considering a burger that was close to the Monster Mash burger that was on the seasonal menu so I went with it. I also substituted my fries for the fried pickle chips. (Great choice) It seemed to take a bit for the food to come out after we ordered but that gave us plenty of time to catch up. Our server kept our water glasses full and checked back in with us more than once. The food was hot. The burger was cooked as I had requested. It was a fun twist for the season. I liked that the black pepper aioli wasn't overpowering. The pepper jack cheese was a good choice with the grilled banana peppers. The pastrami with the burger was a good balance. The pickle chips were good. I like that they had a dill dip served with them instead of the ranch you typically get. It was a nice flavor compliment. My friend enjoyed her "it's gonna be good" burger. She said it was very cheesy which I was glad to hear since it's basically a grilled cheese sandwich with a burger added to it. Nothing worse than getting a non cheesy grilled cheese. All in all we enjoyed our lunch and I wouldn't see any reason not to return.
