Down-home "FAMILY" sports bar is their opening description!!!!!!!!! There is nothing "FAMILY" about this place anymore. The Bartender, so called manager, is not friendly at all towards children, just the regulars at the bar. She made my grandson cry and did not explain very well as to why she abruptly changed the tv channel on 1 TV near our table to a sports channel over an hour after we arrived. This place should have a sign at the door that says "Adults Pre Forgot to mention that the men's bathroom was disgusting (per a 6 year old and dad). We had not been here in awhile and although our food server was good, the wings looked and tasted like they were fried in old oil and the fries were not tasty either. We should have continued further east to THE WING HOUSE, where the wings, food, atmosphere and friendliness towards everyone (including kids) is always there. I got the wings, of course! They're very good. I got breaded and it reminded me of Hooters, which is amazing too! They had great drink specials and lots of pool tables if anyone wants to play. The service was welcoming and inviting. They are known for hot wings. But I did not eat the hot wings that night. I had a Philly cheese steak with fries. Philly cheese steak was a little greasy. It was missing some salt and probably some mushrooms would have been good to boot. Wasn't the worst I've ever had but wasn't the best. I went to Uncle Al's on a Saturday night to watch a football game. It was a pretty solid atmosphere for a game day, and there were plenty of tvs. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, which was pretty decent. Nothing special...just a fried chicken breast with some medium wing sauce. The fries were a little bland, but overall pretty good food. Typical wings and sports bar type food. I've been there a few times and had decent enough experiences but the last time was pretty disturbing. Went in on a Sunday night around 10pm to get a bite to eat and a couple of beers. I sat at a mostly empty bar and the bartender came by to ask me about my drink choice. I asked for a pint of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. At this bar, they print out a receipt with every order and place it in front of you - a nice way to keep track of your spending. Anyways, I noticed that she charged me for two Sierra Nevada drinks for a total of $7.20. I asked about this and she stated that a pint is twice the size of their mugs and it's customary for them to charge for 2 mugs. Ok, I didn't think that made sense but honestly, I figured it was so expensive because they consider Sierra Nevada to be a premium beer. For my next drink, I ordered a Yuengling ale. I look at the receipt and it showed I was now charged for 4 mugs of Sierra Nevada ale. I questioned this and the bartender stated that it's correct because Yuengling is one of their more expensive beers. I'm not new to this rodeo. I know Yuengling is not a premium beer or expensive. I was annoyed but didn't protest too much. I waited till she stepped out for a break and asked another bartender for another Yuengling pint. She printed out my receipt and I noticed that I was only charged $4.70 for this last domestic pint. This made much more sense. I had seen this bartender before at the bar and I asked her about the other beers and she kindly corrected the issue for the first 2 beers. My issue is that I never received an apology from either bartender for the overcharging and the the first bartender was so confident in her answers to me when it seemed like she was obviously lying. When I originally questioned the pricing, she questioned if I was a regular and maybe didn't know about their pricing. It's too bad that they didn't take this more seriously. I've been here 3-4 times with friends on the Harley's. All I've ever had are the wings, onion rings and cold beer. Really friendly wait staff and the wings and onion rings are amazing. Honey garlic wings are great as are the teriyaki flavored. Prices are right and there's plenty of parking. It's a bar. With bar food. The wings are decent, but unless you are willing to consume large amounts of fat and grease, this restaurant has nothing to offer you. The atmosphere is loud...too loud to have a conversation, with a sketchy billiard room area in the middle of the restaurant. After a less than stellar first visit, I thought I'd try again. Took my girlfriend to dinner here and had a pretty off-putting experience. The service was terrible (on my first trip, the service wasn't great, but I thought I'd give it a second go). Our server messed up our order twice, and was pretty rude when we brought it to her attention. The food was decent (wings + curly fries) but the slow, rude service was enough of a turn-off to prevent me from coming back here. In my opinion, the food isn't good enough to justify dealing with poor service. On the plus side, Uncle Al's is a great dive bar; so if you're looking for a place to catch the game over a couple of beers, check it out. We order the breaded chipotle wings (monday special 20 x $13) + order of fries... 2 guys (i'm not skinny) we couldn't finish the order. I never saw wings that big. Although my sister enjoyed her wings I was extremely disappointed w/ my buffalo shrimp! Not only were they cold they taste horrible!!! Uncle Al's is a Cooper City/Davie staple thats been there forever. It's definitely borderline dive and quite dank (not that there is anything wrong with that). You can't tell if it is high noon or midnight as there are no windows and is dark in there. The wings/cheese fries/mini-burgers/philly cheese steaks are great.
