I bought Uji Matcha boba tea latte (50% sugar, whole milk sub for oatmilk, medium size). The cup that it comes in is very cute. The lid that it comes with is not your traditional lid cap for the drink where you see it from other competitors where they laminate seal it. It's like a strap that you cap off and cap back on should you choose to do so. The drink tasted creamy and just the right amount of sweet. The boba was also chewy. I can tell it was just made cause the boba was still warm lol. Tasted fresh.Guess that's one of the perks of coming when it opens. I also bought fried mini octopus with spicy. Crispy level is on point. Spicy level I believe there's only one level. As a veteran person who enjoys spicy food. I was say it isnt spicy but as someone who only wants a little kick to their food. Word of caution:my spicy sensitivity has probably been numb cause everything I eat that is meant to be spicy, isn't for me lol. I short the fried octopus tasted delicious with the right amount of spice. Parking was challenging even at the hour that the business is just open. You also can't park in the neighborhood so beware cause it's only for residents with permit. Location of the tea shop is located on the small strip of all these other stores. Customer service is great. There is a self over kiosk that you can use but at the time of my review the kiosk doesn't seem to work. The store was spacious and had nice decorations. There was a good amount of seating available to wait for your drinks. Our drinks came out fairly quick. However, drinks tasted pretty mediocre. 2/11/2026 I need to start this off with the fact that I had frequented ume for YEARS and the blossom latte quickly became my go to when it first released because I love jasmine tea. The barber ct location was the first one I always went to, but I have gone all over the bay many times including this location and used to always be able to count on the consistency. Tonight, I was extremely disappointed with the blossom latte I got today--it was straight up just creamer and water. The tea was not brewed long enough OR they had to quickly cool down batches of tea and put ice in it to do so. I suspect it's the latter, as the tea was very cold when one of the workers gave me a sample of their tea just straight up in a sample cup. It was immediately evident from the first sip that my drink was very watered down, so I asked if they could just remake my drink with a different tea base. I'd intended to settle for just a black tea, but when who I assumed the owner handed me off to the previously mentioned worker, that worker was extremely rude and stated "that's what jasmine tea is supposed to taste like." I was taken aback at her attitude and straight up lie. I have been to this location many times and have order this exact drink many times and I've never had this issue before. Additionally, I have brewed my own Jasmine tea at home and have brewed jasmine tea at many other boba shops that I worked at throughout my years at ha and uni. The owner did offer to refund the drinks, however I was annoyed at being blatantly lied to and at the fact that I was already waiting forever because some group of freshman from the uni decided to order one by one, so I just took my drink to at least enjoy the green tea jelly (which was good as always). I will not be coming back to this location even though it's 100ft from shwarmaji and I frequent there weekly. My lack of patronage might not be noticeable since it's down the street from Santa Clara University, but I hope that they learn that it's better to be out of stock of something than it is to deliver a subpar product--that is the down fall of chain stores. Happy lemon is a great example of a chain that fell off due to inconsistent product and lack of quality control across all the locations. read more

Tried this location because boyfie and I were craving a sweet treat after dinner and wanted a place to catch up on some paperwork. There was ample seating and we got lucky to get the table by the window where we could people watch! Tiramisu Matcha: got a text for BOGO tiramisu matcha so had to give it a try! We ordered online and the drinks were ready when we arrived. The ladyfinger was a cute addition, and I preferred to let mine soak into the drink for softer texture but you can have it as a crunchy treat when you first get the drink too. Liked there was so much lychee pulp. There was watermelon pulp as well. We had a large group but the service was really fast! What could be better is there is only one ipad to order so we had to queue, and we couldn't order from the person from what I could tell. But we got our boba pretty quickly. But yesterday was my first time experience being not respected by a cashier/ barista like this( the girl worked on the evening shift on Thursday was really rude and unwelcoming). I've went to this particular Ume location multiple times and there is a consistent issue with orders taking much longer than they should. Even when there were few orders ahead of me, I find that there is typically a wait time of at least 20 minutes, if not 30. Whenever I would glance over to see if my order was almost done, the workers always looked like they were moving slowly or were unsure what the next step for the drink they were making was. The only reason I finally decided to leave a review was because of my abysmal experience today. I was excited to try out the new Strawberry Cloud Matcha Coco drink, especially with the promo. It took me 50 minutes to get my drink. Fifty whole minutes. People who placed their order well after me received their drinks before I did. When I placed my order, I asked how long my drink might take, since I was expecting there to be a bit of a wait. Rather than giving me a proper response, I was told that she would start on my drink immediately. That was clearly not the case. When I finally went to get my drink, I was informed someone else must have taken my order. Strange, since I never heard my order number called out. It's such a shame because Ume drinks are delicious. A new boba spot opened up near our house. Much better than then previous boba spot it replaced. I got the Oreo Creme Brulee Boba Oolong Milk tea. A perfect blend of oreo on the bottom and a surprisingly sweet brulee flavor up top! We also tried the Chili BBQ popcorn chicken. They gave us a hefty portion which had some kick and was deliciously flavored. The inside is decorated super cute! And the staff is super friendly and inviting. Santa Clara University students watch out there's a new boba shop in town. Located right by SCU, parking is few and very difficult to find. The interior is small and cute and the noise level is average. There's a good amount of seating which is always a pleasure. Mango fresh milk w/ pudding (5/5): so yummy. It's not overwhelmingly sweet (I got 50% and light ice). There were a good amount of sour mango bits that really complimented the sweetness. Adding on the soft jello like texture of the pudding makes this drink top tier. Tap to pay is accepted. Service was quick. Overall, Ume Tea is a cute and awesome boba shop. Ume has been having a lot of BOGO offers when they release new drinks. I love this - being able to try new drinks and the deal, obviously. This is the closest location to my work. The BOGO dels are typically on weekdays (Tues through Thurs) so it's convenient to come during thw work day. They share a parking lot with the other shops in the strip mall. So it's often packed. I think I've found parking maybe about 10% of the time I've been here. Luckily this most recent visit, I found street parking right in front. They have a little screen and kiosk to order. Note, they do charge a small fee to use this kiosk. So I typically like to order with a person. But they looked slammed so this time I did order from the kiosk. Anyways I had their new mango coconut twilight. Love the combo of the mango and coconut. It's like a slushy and it was topped with a bit of cotton candy, I think. Haha. I came in on a Sunday around 3:30p. It was very slow in terms of foot traffic, yet I still ended up waiting nearly 40 minutes for just an order of one (1) popcorn chicken. I've been to other Ume Tea's before and I would say this is the slowest service ever. I think the staff realized it and gave me an extra box of their popcorn chicken. While I appreciate the extra item, maybe they need to expand on their kitchen or figure out a way to be more efficient. read more

Drinks are good, but I wish it was consistent in quality, especially when it comes to the slushie drinks. Started coming here few months ago and the quality in drinks and food has been going down. I recently ordered a mango matcha from this location and was disappointed to find cut-up debris from oxygen absorber packaging at the bottom of my drink. From a food safety standpoint this was concerning, especially since I had only visited this location a few times. That said, the owner responded quickly and went above and beyond to make things right: they refunded me immediately, promised to investigate the situation so it doesn't happen again, offered to cover medical expenses if needed, gave me a gift card, and provided a complimentary meal. So far we've had the Black Tea with Mochi and Taro, Avocado Mango Milkshake, Lychee and Watermelon Green Tea, and Strawberry Yogurt. All drinks were AMAZING - black tea and green tea are very fresh and have a nice tea flavor (not powdered). The popcorn chicken is also excellent but I wish it was a little bit cheaper - $10 is a lot for a snack. This location is a mess literally and figuratively. They had cups everywhere, no organization, no system, no idea what was going on, and it was filthy. This is my 3rd time this has happened to me there. This was the longest I waited, 54 min. They need someone who knows how to manage a high volume store.
