Came here for breakfast with my father. He's been talking about it for awhile since it's right next to his bank, and we love having breakfast together. After taking him to the bank, he asked if I wanted to do breakfast, if ya know me, you know I NEVER turn down food lol. We pulled in and had no wait time surprisingly, however this was a weekday before noon, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. We were seated and our waitress, (unfortunately I didn't grab her name) was quick to get us water (I take mine however they give it, but Dad likes to ask for water no ice) they got both waters right and my Father also likes a side of hot coffee, which came the same time as the water. We then scanned the menu since it was our first time. Dad ordered the Red Chick Scramble which was Scrambled Eggs, Mushrooms, Ham, Spinach, and Cream Cheese, served over Sweet Potato Home Fries. It also came with a side of toast, and Dad chose Sourdough. I decided on the Rise and Shine which is a breakfast melt/sandwich consisting of Cheddar Cheese, Cream Cheese, Bacon, and a Fried Egg on Great Basin Brewing Co. Icky Bread....I ordered this specifically cuz I love bacon, cheese and Icky Beer. If you're from Northern Nevada you definitely know what's up with an Icky lol. I was surprised a chef brought the food out and he even placed the food in the correct spots. However my Father instantly saw my plate and asked if we could trade. How can I say no, to the man who made me? We traded and when our waitress came by and he asked for Tabasco she immediately knew we didn't have the right dishes and offered to correct the "mistake" but we let her know we ended up trading our plates . Good catch though if that hadn't been the circumstances. Now for this scramble I thought it was so good, I think the cream cheese really elevates it. I'm also not a huge fan of sweet potatoes but these were scrumptious I would definitely eat them again. My Dad ended up sharing some fries and a few bites of the rise and shine with me. The Parmesan Garlic fries were so good..Nice and crispy and hot and the ranch, ( which I think may have been homemade, but don't quote me on that lol), was creamy and flavorful. The rise and shine was delicious I definitely want to come back and have a whole one to myself. As we finished up I ordered a to go order of chilaquiles for my BF since he couldn't join. He said they were good but would like to try them fresh by going in with me sometime. Dad unfortunately was not impressed, so the BF n I will try this out again just us. I had breakfast on Sunday and the restaurant was really clean. There is a one hour limit to eat- so eat fast! I was so excited to see sourdough pancakes on the menu, so I asked my husband to split eggs Benedict and the pancakes with me so we could have a try of both. Grandparents ordered sausage gravy with biscuits and they really enjoyed it. My breakfast was not as good. The eggs Benedict sauce was dry and almost curdled looking like it sat under a heat lamp too long. The hash browns were good, but just pretty basic. The sourdough pancakes were really flat and not airy like many other sourdough pancakes I have tried. I thought breakfast was good, but not fantastic. I have to say, I enjoyed this new location vs midtown. It's larger with more seating. I didn't feel cramped like midtown, especially with covid occupancy restrictions. Food was good, service timely and pleasant. If you're watching carbs, the lunch plate with beef patty, salmon or chicken are good options. You can't go wrong with their melts either. I was so looking forward to a delicious hot meal and I was disappointed. I ordered the very first item on the breakfast menu which consisted of scrambled eggs and ham and mushrooms over fried sweet potatoes. The eggs were over cooked and the potatoes weren't even fried! They were cut in chunks and warmed. No crispness. No flavor. Boring. My gluten free toast would have been delicious if they actually toasted it!!! Stopped in on Father's Day and anticipated a long wait. We waited for about 35 minutes (which is what we were estimated). Our server was very attentive and kind. We had some trouble with our order getting misplaced on the way to the kitchen, so we had to wait on our food a little longer than we should have. However, as soon as the server realized what happened, we got our food really fast after that, so no biggie. All forms of eggs and meats were incredibly delicious. Be patient on weekends but if you go during late brunch like we did ~12-1, line isn't too bad. Got the buffalo chicken wrap the first time: perfectly saucy and spicy with generous chunks of chicken. So, if you have a long wait for reservations in their Mid-town location, it only takes 7 minutes to cruise down to this one. Covid- friendly with the same great menu! The location is central to all of your other errands, and Haley's crew is awesome. Vince does a great job protecting his customers and crew with friendly reminders to be courteous and wear your mask when using the restrooms and being seated before ordering. When i put pick up time is at 11:41. I shouldn't have to wait til 11:56 and still asking them where is my order. 7 groups have since sat down. 5 other orders were picked up. Yet here I am. Waiting. And waiting. Unacceptable. Ps. It probably wouldn't kill you if a waiting customer asks u for extra garlic aioli. After all I did wait an extra 20 minutes for my food. The food was delicious. I had the chicken apple sausage and sweet potato's with scrambled eggs. Love that they have healthy choices for those that are vegetarian, vegan or are just following a restrictive diet. Megan our server was polite and friendly. She answered all of our questions and checked on us frequently. The inside was clean and decorated really nicely. Loved the end tables on the walls that were being used as cabinets. I love the food here and the happy faces that greet you. I've had their mimosas and they are delicious and generous. I'm sorry I order their caprese Benedict and I love it. I eat just half of the English muffin and add cottage cheese. I do this because I am diabetic. The Benedict has delicious hollandaise with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Oh yeh I don't eat meat. I've been here a few times and the service and food has always been great. Today we ordered to-go. I really love the Sweet & Tangy that their sister store Gourmelt makes. They usually are able to do a pretty good substitute for me at Two Chicks. I called to order and asked for the Bumble Brie on Sourdough, no ham, add Chèvre cheese. The man on the phone was very helpful but he seemed somewhat new and put me on hold to confirm this was possible. He came back to the call and there was a woman in the background complaining about how she wouldn't recommend it and it wouldn't taste good, giving the man on the phone a hard time. It made it very uncomfortable. And ultimately the very simple order was made wrong. Really disappointed at our experience with Two Chicks South today. read more

The Restaurant is bright, clean and inviting. While many Breakfast places offer over the top portions Two Chicks offers smaller portions in addition to piled high plates. We went out for a Sunday family breakfast today and tried Two Chicks for the first time. We have heard some good things so we were excited to give it a go. Unfortunately we were completely disappointed. My wife got the Beef patty with eggs and hashbrowns. My son got the Apple Cinnamon French toast with bacon and I got A combo with scrambled egg, bacon and cinnamon French toast as well. My wifes meal came with a side of toast and the first thing I noticed is the bread used for the French toast is NOT normal bread. Her toast was "normal" size if that makes sense yet the French toast my son and I got was made from itty bitty little slices of bread. Each piece of French toast was literally just two bites and gone. We also both got two tiny wafer like stripes of Bacon which tasted fine but again, they were insanely small. I was done with my meal in under ten minutes and that is no exaggeration at all. Not to mention the drinks are very expensive. Nearly 4 dollars for an iced tea?? The grand total for the three of us came to about 45 bucks which is a complete disgrace considering the portion sizes. With so many better choices out there like Black Bear or Jack's cafe this place is best avoided. We are glad we gave it a try but we certainly will not ever be going back. Overall we left basically still hungry and totally underwhelmed. read more

It was easy to find, we had no trouble parking and they are following all COVID guidelines nicely. I think they were a little short staffed which I completely understand with the current circumstances. We had ordered the biscuit and gravy to start and it came with the meal instead of before, but everything was so delicious, I did not mind at all. The hubby and I have big fans of the Chicks since the very beginning of their Gourmelt food truck days. When they opened their first restaurant, we were psyched for them but bummed for us because, frankly, we just find Midtown to be a bit of a pain to visit (I should say found...less so now since the changes to on street parking, but I digress). This all means that when the south location opened, we were so excited. And our excitement hasn't waned. We usually land here perfectly at brunch time, where I'm left staring down the impossible decision of breakfast or one of those ooey, gooey delicious melt sandwiches from the good old days. Either way I go, my belly is always happy, while my heart still wishes I could just do both because choosing is hard when every option is soooo tasty. I particularly love their scrumptious biscuits and gravy, and the breakfast sweet potato side is enough to tempt this woman away from my always-favorite potato option, the hashbrown. When you visit, expect a crowd and a buzzing, lively atmosphere. In our experience, they move tables through quite quickly, so wait times are reasonable even at their busiest. The service is always impeccable, and you'll often see one or both of the owners with their sleeves rolled up, jumping in in every possible capacity. As if that weren't enough to make one excited to support this local, woman-owned business, I love knowing that they are also supporting other local businesses through their food sourcing, and they have recently begun to spotlight and support local non-profits with their Champagne Campaign. read more

The pea sized asparagus was raw, the white yams were not sweet, but mushy blobs. Neither of my two friends said a word about their meals, one got a burrito and the other a blta. I've been around the block and this is honestly the breakfast place I've ever been to. I had the vegan skillet with the vegan egg and a sourdough pancake side. I don't recall any restaurant offering Just Egg as a substitute and the skillet as a whole was fantastic. Pancake was terrific as well, and they offered to add fruit to the batter. Toast was served with honey peach butter (!!!). High marks for service too. This will be my go-to breakfast place if I'm in reno again. read more
