I haven't been to two chicks in a long long time but a friend wanted to go so off we went. I had the country Benedict with hash browns. I'm a hash brown addict and theirs are....awful!!! They won't make them without the Parmesan and it's just not good. The biscuit and gravy was legit awesome and I'd get that again for sure. I didn't care for the sausage Patty, something about it just felt off. My friend got a grilled cheese with "crispy" fries which were anything but. And what kind of place has salads but no ranch? A group Of friends and I ate here because we adore the midtown location but hate the parking. It did not disappoint. I did think the restaurant was just the hotel based on the song location but was quickly corrected that it is located as the front of the hotel (just so ya'll don't make the same mistake ;) ). The service was friendly and quick for how busy they were. Our group of 5 was able to talk easily and be heard over everything. The only downside was there was a long wait after giving over our payment methods until we got them back. But they accommodated individual checks and did reservations. I was really excited to try this location for a long time and finally got the chance for brunch with some friends. Like most of experienced, peak is truly peak and my advice for next time would be to go off-hours...if that's actually a thing! Knowing we had to wait, we made the best of it by having drinks from the bar (oh bummer!)...mimosas it is and very tasty! After a healthy half hour of waiting, we got our table. The waitress was very cordial and timely, and we enjoyed her. I went for my standard meal when going to a new place that served breakfast, and that was the eggs benedict. The wait wasn't bad at all and the presentation was nice for all the items. The benedict was good, just not anything spectacular...trust me, I ate the whole thing though! There's a lot of competition in the area for breakfast and you really need to stand out to be on top. We will definitely go back and maybe this time I'll try something different! Great service, great food. It's so hard to find a good breakfast place that takes it a step beyond a boring old breakfast. They have a great selection of breakfast options. Some traditional-ish with a little extra umph (like adding Parmesan to their hashbrowns, which were perfectly crispy). I had their huevos rancheros which had a delicious ranchero sauce and refried frijoles negros (instead of traditional beans - yum). Finally was able to visit two chicks south we had always had trouble getting in do to its popularity. So I ordered a traditional breakfast scrambled eggs and bacon with Parmesan hash browns, sour dough toast. It wasn't packed when we got there snd were given a table quickly. But by the time we left there was a crowd waiting. Breakfast arrived. The plate was full. Perfect crispy bacon. However the eggs were lukewarm warm and there was no taste of Parmesan in the hash browns. Our waitress was great. Kept checking on us and making sure coffee cups were full. A big plus when you're busy. Am not sure what the hype was and was a bit disappointed as it was just average to me, nothing out of the ordinary. Chorizo is very good. The menu is not so flexible when I asked to add bananas & pecans (king's style) to a 2 pancakes menu item instead of another 3 pancakes menu item, I have been told no. But the pancakes are very fluffy & tasty. I wish the coffee is much better, because the coffee is so important to a successful breakfast experience. read more

We were a large group of 5 adults and 7 children that sat in two separate tables, and ordered a little bit of everything (chilaquiles, poppeyseed toast, busquits and gravy, sandwich melts, pancakes, skillet, Cheseburgee, and from the kid's menu). After waiting over an hour, 2 different parties that sat at the same time had left; Luckily, the food came right as we were standing up to leave. Unfortunately, we waited for a tough steak undercooked burger, cold items, missing dishes, and wrong dishes. We sampled from eachothers dishes and liked the chilaquiles and bisquets with gravy. Extremely well run breakfast place. The staff are focused, hard working, friendly and attentive. The food is comforting and familiar, while at the same time being distinct and a bit unconventional. Items like their sweet potato pancakes and veggie fritters offer diners something unique. Items like their omelette and breakfast burritos are not really unique, but executed perfectly. Ordered a short stack of the grain-free sweet potato pancakes, chilaquiles, and I think a biscuit and side of hash browns? The last two items I am not as sure of because I stayed in the truck and trying to match them to the menu. Chilaquiles was the best of the bunch, which makes me think we may have liked the food better if we had ordered differently. The biscuit is tasty enough for being bread, but I would have called it sourdough focaccia. If the hash browns had cheese in them, I could not tell at all. What happened?????????? I'm really unsure how this place is justified with 4 1/2 stars. Either people need to get out more, or my talent as a food critic is diminishing. I've been to this local chain before. Namely the one in downtown by Shea's Tavern. It WAS really good then.... Not too sure what happened at this location, but if this keeps up, they'll be closed down before the remodel is complete. One thing is fa SHO, I'll probably choose IHOP or Denny's over this /these places now. Let me tell you why. Upon arriving, the outside looks like a straight up trap house. Obviously going through a remodel, which they really, REALLY need to, I completely understood, and because of the caliber of food and service at the other location, I continued undeterred. The inside is coming along quite well, and it's apparent they're focusing on the interior first and foremost. Being relatively new, it's naturally very clean inside with good decorum, emulating their other location(s). They also know how to upsell, display, and have a fair amount of witty merchandise. Oh, if that only paid the bills. Our waitress was great. You're saying "Well, what are you waiting for!?! Why 2 stars? What about the food!?" Let us not delay any further! Gawd, shall I start at just "horrible" or "VERY disappointing"? Actually, I'll start with both. I am an Eggs Benedict FIEND. And since I highly limit myself on my carb intake, anytime I choose to indulge in starches and carbs, it better damm well be at least decent. NOT THIS TIME. I ordered the salmon bene, and my boy ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. I'll start with my unpalatable entrée. BLAND would be a HUGE understatement. Virtually no seasoning, not even on the eggs, and next to zero hollandaise sauce. The salmon completely overpowered the entire dish, and that's ALL I could taste. Needless to say my English muffins were dry as h***. I don't think they were stale, but very, very rubbery. I typically stay away from potatoes/potato type side dishes, so when I order them, be it fries, hashbrowns, etc., I expect to be satisfied. I'm not sure were they found the cook on the flat-top, but they need to train or find someone who can cook. I'm serious, I could've used these (bland/unseasoned) hashbrowns as hockey pucks. 2 chicks wasn't so busy that the cook was over-slammed, and it seems like he threw the spuds on the grill and took a nap while they were cooking. JUST AWFUL. The poached eggs were cooked nicely, but sucked just as bad. My son needed help carving into his chicken fried steak. I'm not exaggerating, I was about 3 seconds away from asking for a chainsaw to cut through the meat. I snuck a bite, and again, seems like the cook threw the steak in the fryer and went shopping for a couple hours. SUPER chewy, and didn't taste burnt, but texture-wise seemed as so. Seriously, you could probably order 4 or 5 of these, and use them as leveling blocks for your RV. Again, BLAND and unseasoned. Even the gravy tasted like it was made in a soup kitchen at the local homeless shelter. Just terrible!!!! I hate having to be brutally honest, but it just seems that businesses taste a bit of success, then their ethic, and food quality goes straight down the crapper. If this keeps up, they're gonna be closed sooner than later. I'm really disappointed, because next to Squeeze In, this had the potential to be one of my normal, reoccurring go-to's. But, probably never again. Sorry 2 chicks. 1 star for interior decorum, and 1 for service. Had I not had great experiences at the other location, you would be getting only 1 star. If THIS was my 1st time to this chain, I definitely would never go back, Also, if this was my 1st time having Eggs Benedict, I would never order THAT again. We ALWAYS box our leftover food to take home and eat later. This time, we didn't even consider that option. It was THAT bad. read more

Both the location and menu are big, but unfortunately, this chick is not a fan. I chose the biscuits and gravy meal only because I had been craving some comfort food, but boy do I regret my choice now. The biscuits and gravy, if u can call it that, was a glob of white stuff with black specks on top of a mound of Bisquick or whatever one uses to make biscuits. And to make things worse, it was all bland. Kudos to them for offering big portions; too bad they are not portions one wants to finish (or bring home for the doggie). Although the employees were hustling and bustling the almost 2 hrs I was there, I felt neglected because no one checked on me and my breakfast companion. Sad. This was first time being to this Two Chicks location, I usually go to the one in midtown. The A+ quality is just as good here as it is at their other location! Staff was friendly and efficient, always checking in with us and offering recommendations. Restaurant is nice and clean too. This location is attached to a hotel, so just a heads up. The food was fresh and delicious too. I ordered the salmon benedict and my friend got the biscuits and gravy combo. Both were delicious! We even bought some shirts there too haha read more
