Came to this cozy breakfast spot on our way out of town. I will say the food variety is interesting. I love that they offer duck egg-when available, so much more rich in taste than chicken eggs. I ordered the Chorizo plate, not knowing that it wasn't like the Chorizo I'm use to. I think this kind was American style& I'm normally use to Portuguese or Mexican style. It tasted more like plain sausage to me so I was a bit disappointed. I decided to order the Bloody Mary, and it was probably the best Bloody I've ever had in my life. I knew this place Would be my kind a place. Walked in off Virginia Street pretty hungry and a lil groggy. I was immediately greeted as I took my seat at the bar. There's a lot more than JUST two chicks here and they're all very sweet and nice. I was helped by Maddy and she suggested I try the Hawaiian bloody Mary. Since I was in the market for a bloody Mary, I looked at the menu. It said that pineapple juice was added in. My face scrunched up. Maddy smiles and remarked "That's the same face everyone makes at first" I said "I'm brave" so Mimi whipped one up. Sooooo happy I tried it out, Mimi's handiwork paid off BIG! Jackpot in Reno. My sister highly recommended and I was disappointed. Cold Restaurant wear a sweater. We had country fried steak and it was ok nothing to recommend. We also had eggs Benedict and my food was ok but cold. Hashbrowns we cold not sure if they are frozen prior to cooking but they were cold inside. We won't be back. read more

Solid option for brunch. I ordered the cheeseburger and it was delicious. It came with toast instead of a hamburger bun but I really liked how buttery and crisp the bread was. 2020 is a year that will be filled with, so with my first trip to Reno of the new year, I landed and was starving! After reading reviews, I found this a spot about 10 mins away from the airport. So Two Chicks is little hip neighborhood spot, surrounded by construction, so you may have to get creative when you park, but my advice...it's worth it! Today when I entered, I was able to seat myself and met with smiles at the door! I was pleasantly surprised when I was greeted within 3 mins at the table and had my drink shortly thereafter. I ordered the Vegan Skillet and a side of 2 scrambled egg whites. Presentation was SPOT ON!!! and flavoring was all there!!! My server was Rebecca and she was very attentive! Very underwhelming breakfast due to food quality not service. Service was amazing. The entire staff is very friendly. The kitchen could use some proper training with a good chef. We ordered the farmhouse omelet with sweet potato hash as well as one of the scrambled (no photo) and in both dishes the potatoes were cold and undercooked. My omelet came with half cooked and half undercooked potatoes that were ice cold. My boyfriend's plate came with cold potatoes also that were still undercooked. Then they brought over another side of potatoes as a replacement and those were undercooked and cold too! I think this restaurant has a lot of potential, they definitely have the demand, they just need some proper kitchen oversight. read more

The food was good. Service average-low. There was this confusing part on the menu which the other patron asked, the waitress in a condescending way correct him about the menu. The food was prepared pretty quickly which was cool. Because the waitress never came back we asked the busser for for coffee refill, napkins, and condiments. He didn't seem to like that very much. I always struggled finding a place to eat especially for breakfast because they either had eggs or contains dairy in many dishes. I have dairy and egg allergies and this place met my expectation! Visiting from out of town and found it on Yelp. So glad we did and we ate breakfast here two days in a row on our trip. We were a mix of vegan and non-vegans so everyone was happy. I really love that I could get vegan egg substitute in any of the omelets or scrambles, as I prefer this over a tofu scramble. Coffee was great and they had non-dairy milk option. People in our party had the chilaquiles, omelets, BLT, scone, and fruit cup. Everyone was happy and satisfied with their food. My only complaint is they add Parmesan to the hash browns, which is my preferred breakfast potato. That left me (vegan) with the white sweet potato home fries as the only potato option. The veggie fritters also have Parmesan. Sweet potatoes are okay, but they were way too sweet for what I wanted in the morning with my scramble. First let me say how sad I am to have to post this review. I have been a loyal customer of 2 chicks for several years, unfortunately I have seen a steady decline in the quality of service and food in the last several months that I can no longer ignore. Reservations are pointless here, they seat you when they feel like it regardless. I have developed several health issues which limit my mobility and cannot sit for long on hard surfaces. I requested a booth today and waited for over an hour. When finally called for a table we were led to a bench with a chair. I explained my situation and asked to be seated at one of several available empty, clean booths. I was told others were waiting for tables. It was late in the day and didn't seem to be busy,, besides, I had been waiting for over an hour and had been called for my table. I noticed Haley (one of the owners) was there. I asked the hostess to ask her if she could seat us at a booth. Haley returned with the hostess to say she could not help me. I explained the situation and was told to either take the table offered or go elsewhere. We went elsewhere. I said we'd not be back. Haley became indignant and said "after 7 years?" I said yes and went down the street to another restaurant and ate a very pleasant meal at half the price. I have been a loyal customer through covid and the perals of opening an ill timed 2nd restaurant. She does not appreciate local business and has let her greed exced the quality of her food and service.
