We waited a hour for our food and we're only checked on once. They apologized however the wait was still ridiculous. Was here in October and was amazing. Since then they have made some changes. New hash browns are terrible - more like potato cakes that are pre-made and frozen. What happen to amazing diner style hash browns? Chicken fried steak is still made fresh and not from frozen and delicious. Sweat potato breakfast potato's not crunchy and lack all seasoning. Biscuit was more like a hard piece of cake. No flavor or delicate texture. No more apple French toasted either. I've been here more than a handful of times over the past two years and the word that comes to mind is inconsistent. Service is friendly or not depending on who you get. The food is okay, definitely edible but not the tastiest ever. The last time I got the eggs Benedict one of the eggs was perfectly cooked and runny but the other was cooked all the way through. The price is at least reasonable and on par with other breakfast places around town. I go there because it's in a good location for breakfast meetings during the week, not necessarily because it's my favorite breakfast spot in town. read more

Reno is a very easy town to navigate around and the area where Two Chicks is located convenient to downtown, multiple casinos, and the airport. I have a confession that people close to me, probably already have figured out...I have an addiction. The good stuff, creamy hollandaise over poached, local farm fresh eggs in literally any combination they have dreamed up. Breakfast/ Brunch... I. Can. Not. Get. Enough!!!! I've even tried the duck eggs and they're just as amazing! It doesn't matter what I get. It's always the best. After visiting numerous times now, I've noticed consistency. Service is always friendly and always prompt. The specials are always creative and fun. I've waited 40 minutes for a table once, (on Mother's Day, which is why it was so long) with a smile on my face, complimentary coffee in hand, waiting patiently for a table as others walked out, not wanting to wait. Oh, I'll wait. I'll wait all fricken day for a table at Two Chicks and that's not a joke. Sundays are a bit of a wait but my favorite time to go is early morning on weekdays. It's usually just seat yourself on those days. As far as the food goes, well if it wasn't some of the best in town, I wouldn't go so often!! After trying a few different things on the menu like the breakfast chèvre cheese sandwich and the jalapeño poppers one, the buffalo chicken one (which are all sooo good with the garlic parmesan fries and that herb sauce which is delicious), The red chick scramble add bacon and Pesto, the huge biscuits and gravy, the chicken fried steak and eggs, and every single eggs Benedict on the menu (besides a new caprese one I need to try) and even the recent Crab Cake bene special, which was to DIE FOR!!! The verdict is...Those Eggs Benedict's though!!! Holy COW!! That rich and creamy hollandaise sauce, smothering pillowy local eggs...and their fruit butters with sourdough toast gets me every time! Every once in awhile I'll venture and try something new besides Benedict...but I always get the fruit butter and sourdough toast.... always. Finally, as far as drinks go they have some of the best coffee around. The local, on tap Kombucha is delicious and their bloody Mary's are SOO good! Yelp does too and since we were in the area, we might as well see what they're all about. First of all, I love seeing local businesses starting from something small, like a food truck, to expanding to a full size successful restaurant. Good Job, Two Chicks!! Two Chicks opens daily at 6:00 AM. We took our own advice and arrived around 8:00 AM. There was no line, we were seated immediately, and our server was great. Our orders were taken quick and since it's just breakfast food, our food was served pretty quick too. Overall, the food was pretty good, the prices about average to other breakfast joints in town, and the service was great. I recommend. Our Food: -Pancake Combo ($9.99): Served with two stacks, bacon, and two eggs. The bacon and eggs were as good as expected. However, I'm not a huge fan of undercooked and no-so fluffy pancakes. -Beef Patty: Their burger patty was really good, juicy, and full of flavor. I can't remember what the additional price was for the patty, but it was worth it. -Bacon & Eggs: This is the future Mrs. C's dish. The sweet potatoes that came with this dish was the highlight of the entire dish and I recommend. I was also quick to destroy the slices of bacon that she didn't finish. Joe Cool has finally visited the Two Chicks! That was whatI did on my second day and morning in Reno and head outside and south of the haunted downtown area. You don't need to stay and dine at a casino. Even cities like Reno have good grubs too. You can make a clear argument that every city has good restaurants. And Reno is not all about gambling and being a victim of second-hand smoking. The Two Chicks diner is located in this family-friendly plaza. Reno has started to be a benevolent to families within the last few years. I hope the transformation will erase the bad image into a positive for Reno. When I walk in, I saw a list of specials for both breakfast and lunch. One of the breakfast specials did catch my attention. And without any hesitation, I ordered the Barbecue pulled pork Benedict with a side of a vegetable frittata. For $14.99, I get tender BBQ shredded pork and a soft boiled egg on a toasted sourdough muffin and covered with a creamy Hollandaise sauce. The shredded pork was very tender with bits of end pieces that add excitement. The combine mixture was very exceptional. The vegetable frittata has assorted shredded vegetable grilled into a patty. I also like this side too. The waitress was very nice and recommended this special to me. She also has great awareness when Joe Cool needs a refill of coffee too. The coffee is from Reno and a fair-trade blend too. This diner also do alcoholic beverage to start your morning too. With the name and ingredients in some of these concoction, you better be not working. I was here on a weekday and the crowd and wait were not too bad. This spot was very disappointing. It was my 1st time here. The wait to be seated is very long. It's ridiculous! I was told by the hostess it will be a 45 minutes wait. I decided to wait so I can try it. And because it had a 4.6 star rating. I waited 1 hour 50 minutes to be seated. They take reservations which, I wasn't aware of. The reservations come first before seating the people that are waiting. They don't have a sign stating that about reservations or that they do reservations. Which I think they should, for 1st timers. Then while I was waiting to be seated the manager came outside and stated "It's going to be 1 hour and 45 minutes wait. We have another location were you can go to. They have a 35 minutes wait there. You can go there." The food was bland not savory it needed salt/ seasoning. I would recommend the fresh squeeze orange juice very good. I had the famous Apple Cinnamon French Toast. I did not taste NO apples! Just plain cinnamon bread. I would recommend to make a reservation so you won't have to wait soooo long. I would not be returning! read more

We ordered chilaquiles, Chorizo & eggs, and kids French toast combo with sausage. The meats seems to be way too over cooked. The chilaquiles wasn't as tasty as I thought it would be. It taste just like tortilla chips with ground meat & salsa. The French toast was undercook and does not taste like a French toast. We got there early because all of the reviews said to, thankfully they were right because the line formed shortly after we we're seated, I got the biscuits & gravy great biscuit but the gravy was lacking & the piece of ham was teeny tiny lol. But it was all still very good. The wife got breakfast tacos & I blinked & they were gone so she approves, I tried a few bites of the pancakes & they had a very distinctive taste that I thought was great.
