2020 is a year that will be filled with, so with my first trip to Reno of the new year, I landed and was starving! After reading reviews, I found this a spot about 10 mins away from the airport. So Two Chicks is little hip neighborhood spot, surrounded by construction, so you may have to get creative when you park, but my advice...it's worth it! Today when I entered, I was able to seat myself and met with smiles at the door! I was pleasantly surprised when I was greeted within 3 mins at the table and had my drink shortly thereafter. Solid option for brunch. I ordered the cheeseburger and it was delicious. It came with toast instead of a hamburger bun but I really liked how buttery and crisp the bread was. Way better than just a hamburger bun. My boyfriend got the biscuits and gravy and was very happy with it. Very underwhelming breakfast due to food quality not service. Service was amazing. The entire staff is very friendly. The kitchen could use some proper training with a good chef. We ordered the farmhouse omelet with sweet potato hash as well as one of the scrambled (no photo) and in both dishes the potatoes were cold and undercooked. My omelet came with half cooked and half undercooked potatoes that were ice cold. My boyfriend's plate came with cold potatoes also that were still undercooked. Then they brought over another side of potatoes as a replacement and those were undercooked and cold too! Second time here doing our trip in Reno. First time was quick and food was okay. This time... Our server was inattentive, i watched her talking to coworkers in the bar area our entire time there while I had to flag down bussers and others to help with drink orders and water refills. I watched 3 tables who sat/ordered after us get served their food before us, and when I asked about our food our server gave no apology for the long delay it had been. Food is mediocre, server never checked back in with us, again needed refills, boxes, check and had to ask others to help. The best part was the garlic fries. I dont recommend this place read more

In town for a graduation and this place popped up for having mimosa's. I had the strawberry lemonade Mimosa and the yellow chick scramble, the Mimosa was really good however the food wasn't. The potatoes could have been cooked a little longer and the jalapeños were raw not cooked at all. read more

Was here in October and was amazing. Since then they have made some changes. New hash browns are terrible - more like potato cakes that are pre-made and frozen. What happen to amazing diner style hash browns? Chicken fried steak is still made fresh and not from frozen and delicious. Sweat potato breakfast potato's not crunchy and lack all seasoning. Biscuit was more like a hard piece of cake. No flavor or delicate texture. No more apple French toasted either. I always struggled finding a place to eat especially for breakfast because they either had eggs or contains dairy in many dishes. I have dairy and egg allergies and this place met my expectation! This place is a must try, for breakfast items. You know it's good when there is a line to get a table. This place offers a little something for everyone, even vegan friendly foods. I had the breakfast tacos (they-were pretty tasty). My husband had biscuits and gravy, and a vegetable hash brown patty like side. If I must say, I was a little thrown off by the sound of that, but it was surprisingly delicious. Im a believer, so much so that I will definitely order them next time for myself. My daughter had the eggs benefit and she loved it. Also I ordered a pineapple Bloody Mary for my morning drink . Now, I love bloody Mary's, however I have never had one with pineapple. I have to say this was a game changer! The service was fast for the restaurant being packed, and very clean. My sister highly recommended and I was disappointed. Cold Restaurant wear a sweater. We had country fried steak and it was ok nothing to recommend. Amazing!! I had their Eggs Benedict, one of the best I have ever had at a restaurant. The eggs were cooked perfectly runny and the chicken sausage was delicious. First let me say how sad I am to have to post this review. I have been a loyal customer of 2 chicks for several years, unfortunately I have seen a steady decline in the quality of service and food in the last several months that I can no longer ignore. Reservations are pointless here, they seat you when they feel like it regardless. I have developed several health issues which limit my mobility and cannot sit for long on hard surfaces. I requested a booth today and waited for over an hour. When finally called for a table we were led to a bench with a chair. I explained my situation and asked to be seated at one of several available empty, clean booths. I was told others were waiting for tables. It was late in the day and didn't seem to be busy,, besides, I had been waiting for over an hour and had been called for my table. I noticed Haley (one of the owners) was there. I asked the hostess to ask her if she could seat us at a booth. Haley returned with the hostess to say she could not help me. I explained the situation and was told to either take the table offered or go elsewhere. We went elsewhere. I said we'd not be back. Haley became indignant and said "after 7 years?" I said yes and went down the street to another restaurant and ate a very pleasant meal at half the price. I have been a loyal customer through covid and the perals of opening an ill timed 2nd restaurant. She does not appreciate local business and has let her greed exced the quality of her food and service. I've been here more than a handful of times over the past two years and the word that comes to mind is inconsistent. Service is friendly or not depending on who you get. The food is okay, definitely edible but not the tastiest ever. The last time I got the eggs Benedict one of the eggs was perfectly cooked and runny but the other was cooked all the way through. The price is at least reasonable and on par with other breakfast places around town. I have a confession that people close to me, probably already have figured out...I have an addiction. The good stuff, creamy hollandaise over poached, local farm fresh eggs in literally any combination they have dreamed up. Breakfast/ Brunch... I. Can. Not. Get. Enough!!!! Oh, I'll wait. I'll wait all fricken day for a table at Two Chicks and that's not a joke. Sundays are a bit of a wait but my favorite time to go is early morning on weekdays. It's usually just seat yourself on those days. As far as the food goes, well if it wasn't some of the best in town, I wouldn't go so often!! After trying a few different things on the menu like the breakfast chèvre cheese sandwich and the jalapeño poppers one, the buffalo chicken one (which are all sooo good with the garlic parmesan fries and that herb sauce which is delicious), The red chick scramble add bacon and Pesto, the huge biscuits and gravy, the chicken fried steak and eggs, and every single eggs Benedict on the menu (besides a new caprese one I need to try) and even the recent Crab Cake bene special, which was to DIE FOR!!! The verdict is...Those Eggs Benedict's though!!! Holy COW!! That rich and creamy hollandaise sauce, smothering pillowy local eggs...and their fruit butters with sourdough toast gets me every time! Every once in awhile I'll venture and try something new besides Benedict...but I always get the fruit butter and sourdough toast.... always. Finally, as far as drinks go they have some of the best coffee around. The local, on tap Kombucha is delicious and their bloody Mary's are SOO good! Yelp does too and since we were in the area, we might as well see what they're all about. Two Chicks opens daily at 6:00 AM. We took our own advice and arrived around 8:00 AM. There was no line, we were seated immediately, and our server was great. Our orders were taken quick and since it's just breakfast food, our food was served pretty quick too. Overall, the food was pretty good, the prices about average to other breakfast joints in town, and the service was great. I recommend. Our Food: -Pancake Combo ($9.99): Served with two stacks, bacon, and two eggs. The bacon and eggs were as good as expected. However, I'm not a huge fan of undercooked and no-so fluffy pancakes. -Beef Patty: Their burger patty was really good, juicy, and full of flavor. I can't remember what the additional price was for the patty, but it was worth it. -Bacon & Eggs: This is the future Mrs. C's dish. The sweet potatoes that came with this dish was the highlight of the entire dish and I recommend. I was also quick to destroy the slices of bacon that she didn't finish.
