And it came with hash brown so the servings was just enough especially off the small portions. Veggie fritter tasted burnt but I do like having the option of something else other than an English muffin. My boyfriend breakfast burrito was good but nothing to really truly get excited about or go out of the way for. Coffee was good served in a medium/larger sized cup most breakfast spots usually give smaller cups. Makes sense if you are fairly busy. Waitress forgot about us towards the end. Waiters are friendly and happy here. They also keep the coffee and water flowing and ask if there's anything else you need; outstanding service. I'm definitely a carnivore but the Two Chics has me wanting more veggies; veggie fritters, oh yeah! I must say I now have a new love for vegetables. The butter is very dangerous here too, it's favored with fresh strawberries or blueberries. I'm a butter lover already and whipped with flavors like this, it's easy to get in trouble. I ordered their chicken fried steak with over medium eggs and veggie fritters. Eggs were cooked to perfection and my chicken fried was too. The gravy is the bomb! I come from gravy capital (Texas) and the Two Chics do it right! Portions are pretty hearty here but I just couldn't leave without trying the Simply Sinful melt sandwich; gooey marshmallow cream, peanut butter, Nutella and bananas, that's all. After all this and to my surprise, I was able to comfortably and happily exit the premises after this without rolling out assistance. This is definitely one of my favorite breakfast spots now. I dined at Two Chicks for lunch 8/19/25 and I have to say customer service was not like I've experienced before and I'm not referring to a positive one. The hostess placed me at a table outside, which wasnpartially in the sun and I couldn't rearrange it. My waitress came out and took my drink order. During this time I noticed a table emptied by a customer and told the hostess I'd like to move as it was in full shade. She said the busboy had just left though she'd be out in a moment to help me clear it off. I thought nothing of it and sat down at the table, moving all dishes to one area. At this time my waitress reappered with my drinks, looking at me with displeasure, I think perhaps because I changed tables, and turned around and went back inside. She came out to clear off the table and I asked if this was her table, she replied yes, and said, but it was not cleared off. The next thing I know, a male employee came out with my drinks and I inquired if the waitress did not want to serve me, had I pissed her off? At this time I was a little irritated she wasn't returning, as though I had done something wrong. My friend and I had a different server the remainder. Afterwards, I spoke to this waitress inside, who still looked at me with displeasure and very little eye contact and I told her I hoped she had a better day and that I apologize if I had done something to offend her. She stated , "it's all good, I was just real busy." I ended with "have a blessed day." Here's the issue, I truly understand if we are having a bad day because we all do, however, I also know what it is like to give and receive appropriate customer service. If you're busy--say so, if you need me to sit somewhere else--say so, if you need to have others take your order or help out--say so. I was not mean to her, though would have appreciated being treated with a smile and friendliness. While searching Yelp for a good breakfast in Reno, I came across Two Chicks. We have visited on our last two visits to Reno. They have several eggs Benedict options on the menu. They have hand breaded chicken fried steak - which is what drew me here! It did not disappoint at all. So good with just a little spice. Homemade biscuits are an up charge, but totally worth it if you love good biscuits! On our first visit, my husband had 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy. It was great. This most recent visit, he had the two egg breakfast with bacon. The bacon was the only disappointment in our meal - it was too limp for our taste. If he orders bacon again in the future, he will know to ask for it extra crispy. Great place. Fast, friendly service. We have found our new favorite breakfast spot in Reno! read more

First place I visited when I went to Reno for the weekend. After seeing many great reviews, I decided to give this place a shot. We came on a Friday morning and although it was busy, the wait was not long. It's a nice little place, well lit, and a lot of nice decors all around the restaurant. We ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs and chorizo omelet. The two chicks hash brown is nice and crunchy on one side and soft on the other. The sausage gravy that came with the chicken fried steak was amazing. It was creamy and had chunks of sausages that you can taste in every bite. The steak however was a bit dry and tuff even with all the sauce over it. The chorizo omelet is also good. One of the best thing we tried was their homemade blueberry butter that came with the toast. We couldn't get enough of it. The best part is that you can purchase it to take home along with local made and preservative free loft of bread. I have been coming to Two chicks since it opened. I absolutely love it! These are the ladies that ran the Gourmelt food truck, they now have a Gourmelt restaurant near UNR. Two chicks is delicious and have a healthy mix of indulgent choices and more health conscious choices. So everyone can be happy! I prefer to sit at the bar, but the restaurant is able to accommodate for large parties. The food and drinks are amazing! I personally love the scrambles! He home fries are made with sweet potatoes. YUM!!!! And a healthier option! The weekends can be pretty packed, so I would recommend arriving early. If there is a line, there is usually free coffee for you to sip on while you wait. Complimentary coffee (handcrafted coffee from a local coffee company, Wood-Fire Roasted) was free for patrons while waiting. The decor inside is contemporary but with a country-feel. There are plenty of seating inside, booths, regular tables and high tables. There is also patio seating. Located in Midtown Reno, parking may be challenging here since there is heavy construction work being done on Virginia Street. When it was our turn to be seated we were led in a booth in the back section. We had a chance to look at the menu while waiting - classic American food offering scrambles, skillets and omelets, melts & sandwiches and salads. Second time at Two Chicks and I'm still impressed. I had an eggs Benny the first time which was 10/10. I had a wise guy sandwich which includes provolone cheese, salmi, and artichoke hearts. They have a pretty hefty menu--and since I'm a sucker for breakfast {at all times of the day} I was pleased with their variety of {Gluten Free, Vegan, etc} dishes. I ordered the Butternut Squash Hot Cereal with a side of bacon and cottage cheese {I know, I'm an odd ball.}. The Butternut Squash Hot Cereal was perfect--and nicely portioned as well. It was our last day in Reno from visiting Lake Tahoe for the week and I'd been craving pancakes (VEGAN) the entire time. My love found Two Chicks (pause) and guess what?! They had vegan options. We got the sourdough pancakes without butter and added maple syrup on the side--we also had two cups of coffee with raw sugar and almond milk. OH! We also got a side of fruit and the sweet potato home fries. Notes: The pancakes don't really need syrup because they are sweet enough, but add your choices of fruit (blueberry or bananas) and you'll be good to go. The sweet potato home fries happen to be white sweet potatoes (we got this because the regular hash browns have Parmesan cheese--womp womp--but they were still delicious).
