Last day in Reno, before a flight came here for breakfast. Checked in and was told it would be a wait. Completely understandable with all the covid restrictions and regulations. Got seated pretty fast Server came but took out order for coffee and we decided to split one of their hashes with rye toast on the side. The food came out super fast. It was fresh and flavorful and the toast was awesome. It came with a cinnamon butter that went perfectly with it. The hash had sweet potatoes and two eggs and a bunch of veggies with bacon. The sweet potatoes were fresh (so was everything else). It was more than filling even splitting it. I will definitely be back once I am back in town. The flavor and freshness of the food was just so good and the service was friendly and welcoming. If you haven't been I would highly recommend it. read more

The French toasts are mildly sweetened with a good number of apple bits embedded. Their chorizo patty is flavorful and not excessively spicy. What I also love about this place is it's portions. My daughter had steak ordered medium rare with eggs, the steak was noted to be very tough and hard to chew it appeared to be cooked as specified which leads me to believe that the steak was not good quality. Found this place when we were in Reno and let me tell you, this place was pretty awesome. I ordered the Red Chick with a side of wheat toast and a mimosa. The Red Chick is egg scrambled with mushroom and spinach over a bed of yellow sweet potatoes. The dish was quite large and super delicious. The mimosa was very good as welll, they have a nice drink menu that you can choose from. This place is rather small and very busy on the weekend. Fortunately there were only two of us so the wait time was under 10 minutes. Bigger parties do have to wait much longer so expect a little bit of a wait if you come here on the weekend. They have complimentary coffee so you can sip on that while waiting for your table. The staff was super friendly and efficient. read more

I did notice the young chicks do tend to chat it up at the Pepsi machine with their backs to the customer. A bit annoying when one is thirsty and way across the room. Luckily, Victoria waited on me. I don't believe I've met a more polite, better mannered young lady bringing such a wonderful meal to my table. After a quick discussion she felt I should try the Red Chick Scramble. It's very popular. I'm not a devotee of yams, sweet potatoes or really any potatoes (hence my excommunication by my Irish grandparents). After more discussion, Victoria almost insisted I base the breakfast over sweet potato home fries. BAM! She's right. It was one of the best skillets I've had. Interesting concept using cream cheese in an omelette. Loved it! Add a suggestion of ketchup (sorry, the military does that to you) and the home fries are out of this world. At my urging you should try the Two Chicks hash and the incredible strawberry-honey butter to smear on whatever doesn't move (esp. a fresh hot biscuit). Sometimes, the line is super long.... so prepare to wait or call in to reserve if you can. Try the fresh brewed coffee!! Locally roasted and amazing! Also, try that tableside green sauce. Amazing on omeletts. I have tried the biscuits and gravy, country fried steak, chorizo omelet, Chile relleno omelet. Instead of hashbrowns which are very tasty, try the sweet potato fries. Mind you we were seated right next to the servers station and 4 staff walked by us over and over again.
