Friendly and quick service, an open and bright setting. I've tried two chicks about three years ago and don't remember what I had but it wasn't enough to bring me back until just recently. Friends and I wanted some breakfast for lunch and two chicks came up on the list, so why not! There's a lot on their menu and I like that they use white sweet potatoes for their home fries. Dishes are about $15 on average and the portions are good. My three stars is for the food. It's ok! And maybe I ordered the wrong thing but I got the yellow skillet. The dish included the home fries, bacon, two fried eggs, and jalapeño. When I got the dish, I was a little disappointed. The jalapeños were raw and thick cut, bacon was bacon bits and it just didn't meld together well. If the jalapeños were grilled or cooked, maybe it would of felt tasted like a cohesive dish. Service was quick and the fresh grapefruit juice was great. Ordered the house original Benedict, (Bene on parm bread sprinkled with bacon) and it was brought out fast and well plated. Hashbrowns were really good and everything was well cooked. I found the parm bread made the meal far too salty, but after I took the bread out and used the potatoes instead it was quite nice. I decided to give Two Chicks a try since I have heard wonderful reviews. The atmosphere was clean and felt inviting however, I'm not fully impressed with my order. To begin with I was not provided with eating utensils, condiments, or let alone napkins. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with Hash browns, scrambled eggs, and wheat bread as my toast selection. My bread was burnt on one side of each slice, the chicken steak was hard & tough and was still pinkish in the middle. It is also pricey for the portion size, I have had the same order at another establishment which was a larger steak for $5 less. I will give them one more try inside next time before I decide if they are a nay or yay for me. read more

What a great find! I'm big on finding restaurants on Yelp! Before visiting the area I decided to pre-plan a few places I wanted to check out. Upon arriving I ordered a Two Chicks Bloody Mary. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised! For garnish it came with an olive, lime, celery stalk and a (delish) pickled green bean. I pride myself on my own Bloody Mary being the best but Two Chick's ranks very high up there (probably second to mine). For breakfast I ordered the Almond Poppyseed French Toast with blueberry compote combo. The eggs were unbelievably fresh, the bacon was delicious but the French toast was amazing! Do yourself a favor and head to Two Chicks. You'll be glad you did! Too bad I am not from the area but when I come back I will definitely be going to Two Chicks. read more

LOVED our experience here last Saturday. We had made a reservation - highly recommend doing this for a Saturday! Our server (I'm so sorry I can't remember her name - a young LatinX woman) was so wonderful. She recommended the best drinks - strawberry lemonade mimosas, and pointed out her favorite items on the menu. I heard so many good things about this place. Was I disappointed when I got there. First it was very tiny, not many places to sit, then after waiting forever, they seat you on top of someone else. I have diabetes and have a small service dog all of about six pounds, but the moment we sat down, the manager made a beeline to us to tell us that, "You have to keep that dog on the floor at all times, not on your lap, only on the floor ". WTF!! I real dog lover there. Well, that was a big turn off right there, since my intention is to keep my dog on the floor where he was trained to stay. If her attitude was different, and before throwing her rules out, and simply said Good Morning folks, in a quiet voice nicely said what she had to say, I wouldn't have to be writing a negative review to begin with. Two Chicks was one of those restaurants that I always passed by and said to myself, "eventually I'll go there", but just never got around to it. When a friend wanted to catch up over brunch, I suggested we check it out. Now I'm beating myself up for missing out on this place all these years. This has to be one of the best brunch spots Reno has to offer. I called ahead make a reservation that Saturday morning, and they were able to accommodate. I highly recommend making a reservation, as the place was incredibly busy (and rightfully so). When we arrived, we were greeted and sat promptly. The environment is very cozy and friendly. The service was exceptional, but the food was out of this world. I ordered the Salmon Omelette, which was generously large, hearty and rich in flavor. Quite possibly one of the most satisfying meals I've had. I'm excited to go back and try the rest of their food. Please don't hesitate like I did all these years to visit Two Chicks. Two chicks knows how to do breakfast right! I love just about everything about it. The ambiance is super cool with awesome murals and kitschy chicken decorations and nice patio seating. Sometimes the wait can be long, but I appreciate the check in service and the call or text when your table is ready. Service is always upbeat and pleasant! As for the food, it's great! I've enjoyed everything I've had. They have plenty of options from traditional breakfast foods to innovative specials. Also the drink menu is so good! Who doesn't love a breakfast cocktail? My absolute favorite order was the chilaquiles. They're my absolute favorite food so I'm picky, but these are so good! Ordered fresh orange juice (amazing) and kombucha (jasmine flavor and was amazing) right away. Cool vibe, plenty of seating. Good for groups. Very much local diner vibes. Now to the food. Stumbled onto Two Chicks after another restaurant in the same mall couldn't accept a $100 bill. Great place for breakfast, eggcept (pun intended), I felt like I was sitting in a preschool. Maybe the decor was intended that way. great plus for kids. Eggceptional service. The servers are young and very friendly. Very helpful. Accidentally got served pork instead of beef on one order, but the cook caught it and it was an immediate switch out with a free grapefruit juice as a peace offering. The grapefruit juice is very good - freshly squeezed. I had the vegan skillet which was a hash with assorted vegetables. Very good. It was late in the day - 15 minutes to closing so we didn't have any wait. Also on a weekday and parking on the street was not a problem. I have heard that their coffee is the bomb but did not try so late in the day. Next time. Great little breakfast place in Midtown with good service and good prices. read more

Driving through midtown, Two Chicks typically has a line out the door in the morning hours. I would recommend getting there a little earlier in order to beat the rush. Located in the Sticks shopping community in Midtown, the parking is not always the easiest to find and may require walking 1-2 blocks to get to the restaurant. With a larger menu, you are sure to find something you are interested in. I opted for the apple cinnamon French toast, bacon and eggs combo. While the eggs and bacon were standard, the French toast provided an extra "oomph" for me. With each bite the apple and cinnamon snuck through without overpowering. Besides that, nothing stuck out to me. This is a spot I definitely want to try again and experience more of the menu. read more

In Reno on vacation and this was the one place my family said we just HAVE to go. They were absolutely right!! I have a hard time eating early in the morning, but when the smell hit me as I walked through the door, I knew I was ready. Not sure of portion sizes, I split a GourMelt bene and hash browns with my partner. Next time, I'm getting my own. The poached egg was absolute perfection, the hollandaise was tasty and smooth, and the bacon was as crispy as the (so so cheesy) garlic Parmesan encrusted grilled cheese holding it all up. My partner said it was the best eggs Benedict he's ever had! It was pretty soul crushing to finish, but luckily my aunt had enough of her veggie omelette to share. It was so fluffy and I was so happy to get a nice big bite with broccoli and mushroom. Totally recommend if you love veggies! Others at my table enjoyed massive biscuits and gravy and the vegan skillet. The service here was super friendly and I really enjoyed reading the story of the Two Chicks, who own two locations. It's a very bright and inviting space and the staff keep the good vibes flowing. We ordered a round of drinks ranging from my Berry Bramble (so refreshing), the greyhound with freshly squeezed grapefruit (best greyhound on the trip 10/10), and various mimosas. We had such a wonderful time, several of us left with shirts and stickers. What a gem! I'll be dreaming of this place. Chorizo omelette also underwhelming. Not a lot of flavor. BUT the blueberry butter that came with the toast was phenomenal. The veggie fritters were a total fail. They were very burnt, so that's all you could taste. Which is sad, because I was very looking forward to them. Our waitress noticed when we were done they were so burnt. I really used to be a big fan of this place, but after my last few experiences, this restaurant is definitely going downhill. I called at 8am to make a 9:45am reservation on Saturday. My information was taken and that was it. I arrived promptly at 9:45am and was seated, my friends arrived closer to 10am due to the inadequate amount of available parking. Parking is a nightmare at this location. As soon as my friends sat down, the waitress came over and asked if we knew that reservations were only for a 1 hour time period? I was so confused because when I called to make the reservation, the employee failed to communicate this information. Shortly after, a manager came out and told us that we only had 30 minutes left on our reservation. I asked if we were being rushed and he rudely laughed and said no, but you only have an hour. I told him that we were unaware and nobody told us about the "1 hour time limit", he continued to rudely say well you should have all been on time for your reservation. (Which is besides the point) Looking around the restaurant, there were still empty tables and the place wasn't at full capacity. After the back and forth with the manager, we were ready to leave after being treated with a rude attitude. The next 30 minutes were rushed, we ordered a drink and food. After a few bites, the waitress asked if we were going to need boxes. Are you serious? Let's talk food! I ordered the Veggie Benedict with bacon and instead of English muffins, I added the veggie fritters with a side of hash browns. As you can see in the photo, that's not how it was served. So not only was I limited on time, my order was incorrect and I had to wait for them to bring out my side of hash browns. I ended up shifting my eggs benedict to the veggie fritters, my food was cold by this time. The veggie fritters and hash browns tasted like they had been sitting out for awhile and they definitely have decreased in size. My rush meal was not good at all. My overall experience was the worst! With their employees failing to communicate their reservations policy, terrible customer service, unprofessional management, subpar food quality, and awful parking this definitely deserves a 1 star rating! Due to covid restrictions, I can understand a 90 minute-2 hour time limit and in my recent restaurant experiences, that has been pretty common. But a 1 hour time limit, you're really trying to rush your customers and not give them an opportunity to enjoy their meal and drinks. What a disappointment this restaurant has become! There are so many other awesome restaurants in the area that offer better food and service! read more
