Have been here multiple times and usually service is great. Last two times have gotten an extremely rude server. I usually don't leave reviews but i have never been treated so badly at a restaurant. Alessandra is extremely rude, and seems to prioritize standing behind the bar gossiping rather than good customer service. Questions were met with an attitude as if we were "dumb" for asking. Chilaquiles was wonderful and mimosas are great. I would love to give this place another chance but I would have to request to not be with that server. Wait time is worth it for food but bad service overlooks all of that. read more

Heard a lot about this joint from my kid at UNR so decided to give it a try one weekend while visiting her. I was in the mood for biscuits and gravy but all the restaurants I have ordered from were just too much to handle. Glad they offered a half order for a lighter lunch. That didn't happen. A single biscuit with gravy as a meal was sooooo filling. The biscuit wasn't hard or dense but it was big. The gravy was one of the best I have had. The service was great and friendly. I would recommend taking an Uber or Lyft as there are only 6 parking spaces in this mini Plaza of 4 businesses. read more

Found this spot while looking for a last minute place for breakfast. Parking is really hard to find but worth the look. We had a party of 6 and service was great. We had a variety of items from chicken piccata Benedict, breakfast poutine fries, breakfast burrito, pancake dippers, kids pancake with blueberry's. Kids pancake (huge) and pancake dippers don't come with anything but the pancake. Burrito is HUGE and come with choice of sweet potatoes or hash browns (get the hash browns). Benedict was amazing portion was fair-not for someone with a big appetite. Poutine also was delish. Great little spot tucked away. read more

It's time to update my review from 6 YEARS ago. I have really reduced my business footprint during this last year due to covid. I have a number of co-morbidities and well....I can only go to places that I feel are doing things right. And that is why my review count is way down. AND why I am reviewing a place I have already reviewed. Two Chicks is following all of the requirements. Keeping people distant is super important to me because I want these businesses to be here after this covid thing goes away. So I do my best to not violate the rules that are in place. Nobody wants to be the jackass that gets a business fined or worse closed. Anyway we made our reservations and then showed up on time. I wanted a booth to have the most distance and they allowed me to wait until one was open. I ordered up the sweet potato pancakes with eggs n stuff. My wife did the french toast combo with eggs and sausage. It was of course stellar as always. My wife ordered up a White Russian Chai and I forgot to steal a little sip! If you are covid sketchy. Make a reservation...I think this place is trying to doing it great! read more

This is one of our favorite breakfast spots. The menu is innovative enough to keep you coming back a week after week. The mimosas are served only half full, but in the largest glass I can think of so you really do get a lot of bang for your buck. The bloody Mary's are absolutely perfect every time. They have a nice combination of savory and sweet dishes. A lot of other dishes are served with Toast as many breakfast are but they amp it up by serving it with a unique and seasonal butter. The last time we were there it was a honey butter that was absolutely delicious. If you haven't tried this place, and you are local, you are missing out. They have two locations in Reno and I have been to both and can say that the food is very consistent as is the excellent service. This place is a no-brainer for breakfast. read more

We loved our experience at Two Chicks! It was such a great find for our last meal in Reno. They are open for indoor dining as it's quite cold right now in Reno, and they do a good job of social distancing and enforcing mask-wearing. We also noticed that their servers and hosts did a very thorough job of wiping down the tables (and even the condiments) after each party. Everything on the menu looked superb, but of course, we chose some of their most famous items, including the Biscuit & Gravy and the GourMelt Bene. Both were fantastic options! I thought the servings were a little smaller than I would have expected for the price, but regardless, we were satisfied. The server very kindly offered to both get us a to-go cup for our remaining coffee and then to top it up before we left. A dream for someone who is gluten-free! Two Chicks is simply the best breakfast/brunch in Reno. They have amazing cocktails, large portions of great food, and super friendly caring staff. I am gluten-free (allergy not by choice) and there are so many options! They have amazing GF bread and grain-free pancakes that are my favorite. Everyone else seems to know how great they are so make sure to make a reservation on weekends. I honestly dream about the pancakes. I ordered only one because - as I knew it would - the gooey chewy UltiMelt Omelette with hash browns packed a savory punch that satisfied me thoroughly. But it was that special-ordered single Sourdough Pancake that brought me back the following day for another one, this time with an order of Biscuits & Gravy, scrambled egg and sausage. I'm a Californian. Gas and inflation are real hurdles but there's a part of me that wants to book a room and return for a full stack of those pancakes. We found this little Gem after staying at a local Hotel overnight after driving from So Cal for a funeral. This was a Saturday morning, and the experience started from the moment we walked in the door. We were pleasantly greeted by a stunning hostess. (I wish I got her name) She was on the phone, but smiled politely while holding up her index finger telling us 'just a minute'. Once she hung up the phone, she greeted us politely and asked how we were and, "Two?" She walked us to a table and sat us down, and said to "Enjoy". Very shortly, another Stunningly beautiful waitress, with a dazzling smile, came to our table to ask if we wanted to start with something to drink. Her name was "Zoey" (sp?). She brought us our drinks and asked if we were ready to order, and we asked if she had any suggestions on the menu as we had never been there. She honestly gave us some options, and we took her up on her suggestions. We did ask her if a pre-requisite for being hired there was you had to be absolutely beautiful, she jokingly confirmed our suspicions, with a smile and a warm thank you for the compliment. We enjoyed our meal very much, and Zoey kept coming back to check on us to our enjoyment and her conversation. The meal was perfect and everyone was pleasant to chat with and we enjoyed our experience very much. Kudo's to this restaurant, and we certainly give Zoey and this restaurant 5 stars for both the ambience, friendliness, food quality and taste, as well as cost. Thank you again! read more

Met out of town friends for brunch at the Midtown location. With children we were a group of six. My wife suggested the seating at the S Virginia St location would be more accommodating but being hard headed we put our name on the list where we were. We watched as multiple groups of four were seated around us at emptying tables, hostess unwilling to let a table sit empty for a couple of minutes so they could slide two together. Wife ended up helping out and we were able to work it out in the end, don't know how long we would have stood if we hadn't engaged. Two chicks has been the place my nightshift crew and I come to eat after work when we can not decided what we want for breakfast. The first time I ate here was about 3 years ago I believe and even though the food was good we had a bad corner moldy piece potatoes that left a pretty bad/sick taste in our mouths. Fast forward to now, food is still great and I haven't had a bad dish or issues with potatoes since. I've had benedicts, country fried steak, omelettes, and other things. Coming from California (all the way from Tahoe lol), where all restaurants are dining outdoors only, it was a welcomed, albeit somewhat strange experience to eat at an indoor establishment. We came on a holiday weekend (MLK) Monday at noon without a reservation... fully expecting not to be able to get a table and just grab takeout. When we were greeted, the host told us a table probably wasn't going to happen for us, but then he pleasantly surprised us with an opening just a few minutes later! Awesome! Service was amazing and friendly throughout the course of our meal, which was a true treat considering we *really* do not get out much these days. Covid safety seems well in order here too. They kindly ask you to keep your mask on at your table until you receive food or beverage, and the tables are nicely spaced. But what honestly won me over was their vegan egg option (*swoon*). I ordered the Vegan Skillet with the option to add vegan egg. On paper, the skillet seems like a healthy, if boring, option... but it was anything but that! The vegan egg was fluffy and delicious, and the scramble of veggies was phenomenal. It came with toast or tortilla. I chose tortilla and was essentially able to construct my own vegan breakfast tacos. They also have a full bar (not just beer and wine like so many breakfast joints in CA (and that's if you're lucky))... but I opted for a mimosa for a nice treat to myself! Went here before heading back to Sacramento. The place was amazing. From the outside it looks small and cozy. But once you go through the doors it's huge. Bright and very cozy. My mom and I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Their Parmesan hash browns were out of this world. I had them smothered on their HOMEMADE sausage gravy which was very very flavorful! My step dad had the ham steak and eggs. It was HUGE piece of ham. Toast and has browns. He said it was absolutely outstanding! If you're looking for a hidden gem while visiting Reno this place. GPS will get you killed trying to find this restaurant. Other comments say nearly no parking. I can't say for sure as we never got close enough to see. All the one-way narrow streets make getting to the restaurant nearly impossible. Heavy traffic as well. Yea we're old. Old people like breakfast and we like someplace easy to get to. This is NOT that. We finally gave up and drove further south to the OTHER Two Chicks in Reno. The hash browns were not crisp, the sourdough toast was hard as a rock, the steak with my eggs was grisly and the waitress who was pleasant when we arrived clearly did not like being waved at to the get a coffee refill. Breakfast is about full cups of coffee. She was clearly annoyed. Additionally, you have to request jam for your toast as it's oddly not on the table. The berry flavored butter they provide is pure cinnamon (yuck). We finally satisfied our curiosity after all the 'good' reviews and will skip Two Chicks in the future. read more
