We have been trying to eat at this place due to the reviews. This did not disappoint. We had to wait 20 mins. -- it was ok, since they have a bar outside to visit while you wait. The sidechick bar - clever. I had the strawberry lemonade mimosa. My husband had a Bloody Mary. I liked both of them! We like to order a different things so we can share. We tried the chicken fried steak, the Gourmelt Bene, pancake dipper, and chilaquilles. Everyone was happy with their meal. Service was very attentive, even though it was busy. Went early on a Saturday and got sat right away. Service is very good. We ordered the Chilaquiles and the Bene Melt with sweet potatoes. And a kombucha to drink. The Chilaquiles were very tasty, with crisp chips. So was the Bene Melt. I love the toasted cheese on both sides of the sourdough. The sweet potatoes were kinda boring, but the peppers were spicy. My go to whenever I get brunch has always been two chicks. It's always good but they have been so on top of their game lately! I was struggling on what to order since I wanted to try something new and my server Ty was so much help. He recommended a chai cocktail to me and the country benny and I was thrilled with both! This was an awesome little brunch place. We were on our way out of town, and where looking for a brunch place to eat and this place didn't disappoint. The area where is located seems like a newish area? (I'm from out of town btw) but it was easy to find parking off the street. Walked right up the to the place and was welcomed by happy staff. Right away the energy of the place feels right. Bright. Vibrant. Fresh. Which is exactly what I got on my plate. I liked the fact that my bacon, was not grease and gross. Along with the fries. I really don't like to eat fries that are cooked in old oil. This ones, where cooked just right! Right amount of salt, crispy and not soggy at all!... Both my wife and I loved the decorations. On a trip to Reno a while back leaned on Yelp to find a spot for breakfast on a weekday. Completely impressed with our stop here. Full on coffee shop experience. Elevated interior and ambiance. There was a short wait to get seated. The waitress and bus staff were coffee shop efficient. Added bonus that the staff was super friendly even with the hussled pace. Food was delicious. We found ourselves in Reno for a couple of days and decided to return Two Chicks today. It was nice coming on a weekday as it wasn't crazy busy like it was on the weekend on our last visit. We arrived around 9 AM, we're warmly greeted and were seated right away. Delaney was our server and was very friendly. We ordered a sourdough pancake combo with sausage and a pancake combo with the Nutella pancakes special and bacon. Delaney asked if I would like anything extra in my eggs like spinach and cheese. I thought that sounded very good. My husband also mentioned that we would be back on Friday and could he get just a small taste of the gravy as he was considering getting biscuits and gravy upon our return. She said, of course! Our food came out fairly quickly and was hot and absolutely delicious! We were surprised to receive a dish of gravy. My husband tried it and thought it was very good. He only had a small amount as we couldn't even finish our regular breakfast. When our bill came, I wasn't surprised that I was charged for spinach and cheese as I kind of assumed that. But we were very surprised that we were charged $2.99 for the gravy. I think that should've been mentioned upfront when we asked for a small taste. Then we could have decided if it was worth it. Update: It's been at least three years since I've visited any Two Chicks location and closer to four since my last visit to this midtown location. I came in for brunch with my little sister today for her birthday per her request. Jordan was our server this afternoon and she was friendly and attentive! The support staff as a whole provided exceptional service! I was very pleased to have had the best service yet. I stuck to the ordering a breakfast sandwich and more then satisfied this time around! My sister ordered the Bumble Brie with parm fries and I ordered the Rise and Shine with sweet potato fries. We mixed and matched and oh my belly was so happy! It's always so busy here and if you eat here, you'll know why! We haven't been back in a while just because we're always on the go and there are times it's so packed you have to wait which we hardly ever have time for. While they were packed today, at almost closing time, we managed to get a table without waiting more than a minute, total score! Soon after we sat down, our server met us with a friendly smile and no joke, no more than 10-15 minutes after she took our food and drink order, we had food and drink. I was expecting to wait a while considering how busy they were but no, it was quick. In addition, she checked on us just the right amount, and so did those helping her. Kudos to Devyn and her team! Now the food - I love breakfast but I'm always so worried about ordering eggs because 3/4 times, my eggs are not right. I ordered over hard, I always do, can't do any runnyness... these were perfect. The gravy had a ton of sausage crumbles, the Parmesan hash browns were a first for me but paired perfectly with everything on my plate. I also was adventurous and tried a strawberry lemonade mimosa (not like me at all) and was happy that it wasn't too sweet or sour, it was just right! The simplest item was and always is my favorite, their butter. Spread just enough over your toast and you feel like you're eating the perfect bite of french toast. This has been on my list since I moved here and I finally had the chance to go! I now understand the hype! I love that while it's traditional brunch it has some twists and unique options. For example, the artichokes on the mother clucker sandwich were so good and something you don't find everywhere! Their bread also makes a huge difference! You can tell it's fresh and local - big plus! The fries were good, as were all the different dipping sauces (yes, I tried everyone's around the table!). Their brunch cocktails are also fun! We went to Two Chicks for breakfast yesterday. Our experience was rough. The young lady who seated us seemed like she was having a bad day. She was unfriendly, didn't smile, and talked over us. We all ordered food and it looked amazing but tasted bland. The coffee was bland too. I ordered the vegan skillet. The potato's were undercooked and didn't taste well. The vegetables tasted frozen not fresh. My husband had the biscuits and gravy though and he said they tasted good. Our server provided okay service but I think she was overwhelmed. She forgot about us a few times and when ordering she attempted to up sale our meals. Overall I was disappointed in the food as well as the service. We witnessed the manager argue with a customer which was unpleasant. Regardless of the situation the manager should have kept calm instead of continuing to fight with the customer. I think this is the best place in Reno for breakfast. It basically has something for everyone. Traditional breakfast stuff like bacon, eggs, and pancakes are on the menu. Also they have a few things for lunch like burgers. There's also plenty of animal product free items. Even at breakfast. This is one of the few breakfast places a vegan can get something. I like the Sourdough Pancakes. It's three for $10.49 and these are pretty big, not like the mini size. These have no eggs or milk but be careful because they put a side of butter with it sometimes so tell them not to. Also has stuff at lunch, mostly burgers. It has a non meat one. Our food arrived and my husband's order was not right, my steak was rare when I asked for medium rare. The server did replace what was wrong with the hubby's food but when it finally arrived, it tasted so awful it made him so upset. I ordered a large steamed oatmilk and I got a small cup, and the milk was regular steamed milk and I am lactose intolerant. Yes, I got sick but not life threatening. We are very disappointed at this location, we always have good experience at the midtown location, but this experience had lead us to decide to write this review and never to come back. read more

I absolutely always love going to Two Chicks. If you are a Reno local or just visiting, this is def a place to go to if you have not already, especially if you are around the midtown area. First off, if you are not a very patient person, either go early morning or make yourself a reservation! I just learned this for the last time I came into Two Chicks and it was absolutely worth it because I came on a Sunday around 10:30am and the place was packed and ton of people were waiting for a table. The drinks here are worth the money. Get yourself a coffee because something about their coffee is just so delicious and warming. Then get yourself an actual drink. For me, I love their Bloody Mary's and I personally think it's the best with Tito's ! I also have had their champbucha and their mimosas and I am not disappointed at all , plus it does the brunch vibe job. The food is decently portioned and obviously delicious. I am always into getting egg Benedicts at breakfast places and Two Chicks egg benny's are pretty dang good. I had their gourmelt benny last time which was really good , but I tried their steak egg benny and it was delicious! I get my steak usually medium rare and they cooked it perfectly for me. The drinks were delicious and refreshing I liked the limemade rum fizz drink it was a breezy brunch drink. Also LOVE two chicks logo "fresh as f**k" what a hilarious idea- can I buy some merch? I got the half bene caprese and half bene veggie- both incredibly delicious and fresh with the perfect runny egg yolk. Fresh, local ingredients on point! Bene eggsceptional perfection! The side of sweet potato hash is where I ran into issues. I was expecting the orange sweet potato you usually get with sweet potato fries. Soft and sweet. Instead it was some kind of weird varietal that was white and tasted like a real potato and not a sweet potato! Kind of disappointing. We as a collective group even googled it thinking is this really sweet potato? I think there should be a disclaimer that it's not the sweet potato variety most people think of. I would also suggest that they allow mix and matching benes for more than just the first three- id happily pay the higher cost for two different types!! My other recommendation to make the process more smoother is to have a line for with reservations and without. It was pretty chaotic in the beginning because there was a line of like 5 people who didn't have reservations (or keep it to 1 representative per party) because the entry way was so small and I had to squeeze and make my way through! So let me start with I have been trying to come to this restaurant in Midtown for YEARS now and never got the chance due to wait times or time restrictions but finally scored the Golden time at the new South Reno location and so happy we did! The michelada's here are out of this world and the champagne campaign makes you feel so much better about drinking more than one Mimosa haha!! The Chicken Fried Steak was out of this world and had the crunch and not sogginess that sometimes happens with Country Fried steak. The Gravy actually had meet in yet, total WIN!! The California Eggs benedict was a Special and it was so freaking yummy and light that you did not get the normal gross fullness that you get when eating traditional eggs benedict.
