I was searching up local coffee spots and this place popped up. What brought me here was the 'Wood-Fire Roasted Coffee'. I was intrigued because I've never had that before. The restaurant is cute and I was seated within ten minutes. I ordered the coffee and the egg benedict combo; orginal and caprese, with a side of parmesan garlic hashbrown. The egg benedicts came out excellent and the hashbrown was nicely crisp with lots of garlic and parmesan taste. I was a little bummed that the coffee tasted a tad watered down to my liking. I love a good, strong cup and unfortunately, it didn't hit me with a wow I was hoping for. The taste was there, I liked it, just wasn't as robust as i expected. Overall, I enjoyed this place. The service was good and I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Two dudes hit up Two Chicks in search of some amazing breakfast... how's that for the first line of a short story? Seriously, though, we were quite hungry and had to wait a very long time because Two Chicks is REALLY popular! But I promise you, it's well worth the wait because we enjoyed every moment of our Sunday brunch experience. My husband and I waited just over an hour for our breakfast, but since it wasn't raining or snowing we enjoyed playing Jenga in the courtyard. We also made the most of the mimosa and coffee sidebar Two Chicks offers for those waiting. What a genius idea, indeed! Hungry people leave angry reviews when they have to wait too long for breakfast... unless alcohol is offered! Once we were seated, the waitress shared the daily specials and took our orders promptly as we had plenty of time to drool over the menu while we were on the waitlist. The speed and precision of breakfast at Two Chicks is really impressive. Our breakfast burrito and Country Style Benedict only took about 8 minutes to prepare and serve, steaming hot and delicious. The restaurant has waiters, servers, and table bussers who are all buzzing inconspicuously around the place keeping everything on track. I've never seen such impressive teamwork at a restaurant before. Kudos to the management and staff for appearing to love what they do, and working so well together. The food was excellent. Check the sausage box if you have an option to do so with your breakfast. It was thick and juicy, and paired excellently with our delicate and buttery homemade biscuits. And what a work of art the breakfast burrito was! Everything was layered perfectly, forming the perfect bite regardless of the angle of approach. (Burrito fans know what I mean) No longer hungry, we left the restaurant with full bellies and gratitude for the great Yelp reviews that led us here. We just finished breakfast at Two Chicks; what a great experience! We only had to wait 20 minutes for a table for 5 on a Sunday morning which seemed very fast to me. We were lucky enough to sit in Morgan's section. That woman is amazingly patient and kind. She gave us lots of recommendations and did not mind that we were slow to decide on our selections; just too many delicious choices! Everything thing we ordered was so fresh and appetizing. If you love mimosas, they were so flavorful and a great price for the amount poured. I can't wait to eat here again on our next visit to Reno! read more

Driving home from our first ski weekend of the year and I was determined to try this place. The 45 wait did not scare me. But it did scare my partner and son. They reluctantly trusted me and everyone in front of us dropped off and we were seated in 10 minutes! The food was spectacular! We ordered the breakfast poutine, their version of eggs Benedict and chilaquiles. The fries were crispy despite being covered in gravy, it could have used more cheese curds and the flavors melded together perfectly. The biscuits were so fluffy, the gravy amazing and eggs broke open for the yummy yolk of your dreams. My son being 16 ate to 110% and then proceeded to finish mine off because he could not dare to leave anything behind! All I can say is just go! Don't be afraid of the wait. It is worth it. read more

The breakfast I had here was delicious. The biscuits and gravy was amazing. The gravy had a good consistency and flavor and the chorizo had a nice kick to it. The sweet potato fries were crispy and cooked well. I also had a side of the apple cinnamon French toast, which was sweet but not too sweet. The service was good and I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast. It does get pretty busy on weekend mornings so be prepared to wait for a table. read more

Absolutely loved Two Chicks! I love family restaurants that can accommodate a large group and still manage to have consistently delicious food! Staff was polite and very helpful. Good spot for breakfast! Location is right in midtown. Was able to find a parking spot. On a busy weekend may be a bit difficult, but there is lots of street parking. They have a big menu. Wi of options for breakfast and lunch. Service was friendly and efficient. Food came out quick. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Food was decent portion for the price. Wish they had more gluten-free options. But they do have tons of vegan and vegetarian options specially having that egg substitute is great. I tried the mango butter on sourdough and that was delicious. Hashbrowns were also really good. I got the sweet potato pancakes and I don't really know what I was expecting, but I wished that they were either fluffier like real pancakes or maybe shredded sweet potato with more veggies in it. They were kind of just flat pancakes. It also would've been nice if they had a full coffee bar or more coffee options or alrernatives . But definitely a really good spot for breakfast! Went early on a Saturday and got sat right away. Service is very good. We ordered the Chilaquiles and the Bene Melt with sweet potatoes. And a kombucha to drink. The Chilaquiles were very tasty, with crisp chips. So was the Bene Melt. I love the toasted cheese on both sides of the sourdough. The sweet potatoes were kinda boring, but the peppers were spicy. Lost a star as the 1st round of the Benedict, my eggs came out well done, so they had to be remade, which they did promptly. read more

Finally made it here for brunch on Memorial Day. Place was hoppin'! Luckily found parking close by (always a challenge in Midtown). Made reservations (highly recommend especially on weekends/holidays), and were seated right away. Our server was prompt, took our drink orders and gave us time to peruse the menu (so many yummy choices!). Aside from water, had a glass of their uber fresh orange juice (ya gotta try). I opted for the chili relleno omelette and added their local chorizo with the sweet potato home fries and an English muffin. This was the only negative to the experience, place was crazy busy so the cooks were slammed...took about 25 minutes for our orders to come up. Server stopped by often, apologized for the wait (not his fault!). Once arrived, definitely worth the wait...huge 3 egg omelette cooked perfectly, lots of cheese and chorizo, topped with a flavorful ranchero sauce (added additional hot sauce, I'm just that way). Sizable portion of home fries, crisp yet juicy, great flavor...tossed with red onion and pasilla peppers, lightly seasoned. Your bread options come with homemade blueberry honey butter which was as thick as a good cream cheese, perfect match for the meal. Filling and satisfying...good for the rest of the day! All in all, a definite winner for a breakfast place, we'll be back to sample other selections. Again, do yourself a favor and make reservations! read more

Had a day out with my son, in Reno, and recalled a good experience several months back here. It's mid size with a big backing, so it's within normal limits to wait.We don't have a wait because we chose to dine out side. Hannah came over in a few minutes for the drinks, never introduced herself, brought them back while we checked the menu, My son, the finicky eater that he is wanted French toast of waffle, that he didn't see in the menu so we needed to change up. Didn't see Hannah for a minute so I went to find her and ask for the check. She came back with an attitude and brought the check. We shared it was him, not the place or her. She didn't return. She sent a gentleman, maybe the owner or manager back , $2 short of my change. I thanked him and went to inquire, because he was being hospitable to the other patron that wouldn't be served for a while. I found Hannah, made mention of the shortage, when she surprised me. She slammed an additional dollar on the tray, rolled her eyes, then proceeded to tell me she didn't my have any change and that was settled. I repeated her comment and nicely stated, I'm this event, I get to choose if I want all of the change. She stormed away, found a container, gave me the additional change, then walked away. I was blown away. We had no issue, just wanted to get something of his choosing, this place was my thing. It's unfortunate maybe Hannah was overwhelmed. Maybe I should have continued to wait for her to return however my son was hungry and I thought this process would be seamless, she would be understanding and close the check with a smile. I may have tipped her more than even deserved for ticket amount. This was disappointing. read more

Came here on a Thursday afternoon, they were able to seat us right away with no reservation. The restaurant had plenty of seating, it was about half full and stayed that way through out. We did have a tough time trying to find parking. Had to park a couple blocks away and walk over. I ordered a Bloody Mary and it's probably one of my favorites. The maple sausage Patties were my favorite thing out of all of our entrees. My friend got a Benedict with fresh squeezed orange juice. The hollandaise sauce on that Benedict was to die for. I would've ordered that just for the sauce. We didn't wait too long for the food maybe about 10 minutes which is great. Gayle and I are currently enjoying a pattern of driving up to Reno (from Genoa), picking up our friends (Jim and Marti) in the Old Southwest, and then driving to a unique place to enjoy Lunch. As Gayle and I are trying to learn about restaurants in our relatively new community, we pick out places we've never been and with good reviews. We usually do Saturdays, but because of various conflicts, our choice of Two Chicks came about last Sunday. As it turned out, the vetting process was a little more complicated this time around, as a few possibilities (like Twisted Fork) were closed on Sunday. Two Chicks is located in Midtown and we were lucky to find street parking on Virginia. We also had reservations, which made getting seated a bit easier. Near the end of our meal, Gayle commented on how much of a "happy place" this was. Maybe it was the bright red and yellow motive, clever t-shirts, and egg shaped dishes. Or perhaps it was a young wait staff that really seemed to be enjoying their customers? It could also be that even at breakfast, there's full bar and a lot of folks were having fun together with their adult beverages. As you might expect, the menu is heavily egg and breakfast-based, but with enough Lunch choices to offer some tempting brunch options. I had the Breakfast Tacos (with OJ), which I found to be egg-ceptional. Gayle also enjoyed her Chorizo Omelet (with Sweet Potato Home Fries and Coffee), while Marti liked her Ancient Grain Bowl (with some Bubbly), and Jim crossed into Lunch with a tasty BLTA. Very good choices overall. Considering our current "New Restaurant of the Week" pattern, we may not be back here for awhile. Yet, it's great to have places like this in your back pocket as friends and family opportunities present themselves. read more

I love this place! I've never had a bad meal here! This time I got the half portion of almond poppyseed French toast with the blueberry compote and holy smokes was it yummy! It also came with eggs and choice of meat which was good to balance the sweet and savory. Service is always fantastic and the servers are always kind and helpful. Also we love the decor, even the plates are egg shaped which is a cute tie in with the egg themed restaurant. My husband got the banana chocolate chip pancake combo and it was super good. The pancakes are made with sourdough so it's a fun spin on traditional pancakes. Highly recommend this brunch spot! You won't be disappointed! read more

Great food. Great prices. Large crowds. Make a reservation if you can because this place gets very busy. Food is yummy and decently priced. I ordered the Bumble Brie sandwich with a salad and then an extra order of fries and the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. The sandwich was filling and was pretty gooey with cheese. The salad dressing was pretty thick and not my favorite. The fries were so good. They were crispy yet soft on the inside. The grapefruit juice was a bit tart, but that's to be expected with citrus and I really enjoyed it. I'd definitely come back to try other items. read more

My go to whenever I get brunch has always been two chicks. It's always good but they have been so on top of their game lately! I was struggling on what to order since I wanted to try something new and my server Ty was so much help. He recommended a chai cocktail to me and the country benny and I was thrilled with both! He was such a good server and so fun to talk to. I recognize that serving my table was his job but he took it to the next level. I really felt like I was hanging out with a friend. Two Chicks is a solid local option. I've never really had an inspiring meal there but it's always pretty good and my guests always seem to like it . Usually a fairly long wait on weekends, and outdoor seating is always ar a premium , so prepare accordingly or make reservations if you can . Update: good omelette last night ! We have been trying to eat at this place due to the reviews. This did not disappoint. We had to wait 20 mins. -- it was ok, since they have a bar outside to visit while you wait. The sidechick bar - clever. I had the strawberry lemonade mimosa. My husband had a Bloody Mary. I liked both of them! We like to order a different things so we can share. We tried the chicken fried steak, the Gourmelt Bene, pancake dipper, and chilaquilles. Everyone was happy with their meal. Service was very attentive, even though it was busy. Food is amazing I had the Italian melt with the garlic fries tasted like a pizza sandwich My daughter had the plain Jane grilled cheese And my husband got the burger with a fried egg Ambiance was great. Service not so much. I think our waitress forgot to put our order in. For we waited 40 minutes to get our food. 3 other tables that sat down after us got their food way before we did and we ordered our food like 10 minutes before. I asked her if she could check on our food and she said well it takes a long time to cook a well done burger. I just shook my head. I asked for ice tea with Lemon I didn't get my lemon. I wanted to like this place. The decor is nice and the menu offers good options. But my meal was disappointing. I ordered eggs Benedict with home fries. My plate had hardly any Hollandaise sauce and the home fries were soggy, slimy, underseasoned, and undercooked. When I asked for more Hollandaise sauce I was told it would be an extra charge. Saturday at Two Chick's near Meadowood mall, yes they're busy had to put our names on the waiting list. We ordered and since they were busy, we waited awhile for our food. Our food arrived and my husband's order was not right, my steak was rare when I asked for medium rare. The server did replace what was wrong with the hubby's food but when it finally arrived, it tasted so awful it made him so upset. I ordered a large steamed oatmilk and I got a small cup, and the milk was regular steamed milk and I am lactose intolerant. Yes, I got sick but not life threatening. We are very disappointed at this location, we always have good experience at the midtown location, but this experience had lead us to decide to write this review and never to come back. read more

Disappointed in the service. Hostess was rude. Gave her my name and was told a 15-20 minute wait. After 20 minute wait I went back in to check since groups that arrived after us were being seated. The only reason I'm giving them a 1 star is because of how we were treated by our waitress named Kaitlyn. She was so rude to us . Never once checked on us and was checking in on all the tables and would jump us. There was just 2 of us . We were nice to her from the beginning and the only difference was that we were Hispanic. I do not recommend coming here and dining . You'll never know when u might get her if your of colored person. We left 0 tips since I had to also wave my arm to get her attention. read more

We came for breakfast on Valentine's Day and were asked if we had a reservation, which we didn't, and were told it would be a 20-minute wait. Got lucky! Only took 2 minutes. Cute place, great servers, decent parking at least on a Monday morning and they serve cocktails! Hubby had the Breakfast Tacos and Parmesean encrusted hash browns. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal. I ordered the Apple Cinnamon French Toast Combo that came with eggs and bacon. My meal was lukewarm at best. I asked the server if they could heat it but they made a fresh meal. The second meal was a tab warmer than the first. The servers were very sweet and attentive so I let it go. The portion size was perfect and the pricing was reasonable. Our tab came to $39 and change. We both had coffee and hubby had an Orange Juice which was freshly squeezed! A couple of things to keep in mind, weekends, holidays, and Valentine's Day call ahead for a reservation. On a trip to Reno a while back leaned on Yelp to find a spot for breakfast on a weekday. Completely impressed with our stop here. Full on coffee shop experience. Elevated interior and ambiance. There was a short wait to get seated. The waitress and bus staff were coffee shop efficient. Added bonus that the staff was super friendly even with the hussled pace. Food was delicious. Came back to Two Chicks (TC) with co-workers. I followed lead today and ordered Eggs Benedict, and I have to say WELL DONE! Tasty Egg Benedict, a great thick slice of ham, a perfectly poached eggs, and great sauce. The only thing on my plate that was not great was the sweet potato hash. It really needed another 2-3 minutes of cooking time, not much color on the potatoes, over half the hash was undercooked. I did get a half order of biscuits and gravy, that was excellent, gravy was perfectly seasoned, and lots of sausage bits in there. I didn't get coffee, as one of my pet peeves is ordering coffee and then only get 1-2 cups, I would highly consider getting coffee here in the future as they SERVERS were on it. I would have to say one of the best service experiences I have seen. The team all works together, and it feels like a quality production. Another thing when you are larger party, and everyone is dining as individuals, I remember it was a ton of work, but they don't even bat an eye here, either technology has improved, or they are really great at their job, or BOTH! Either way, it's a not huge portions, hence why I got two dishes, but when you get a dish, the memory/flavor of the dish(es) stays with you, with pricing that is spot on, and constantly receiving impeccable service, that's a 5 Star Worthy Experience in my Book - Any Day! =) read more

Our family visited this restaurant for breakfast/brunch, hoping for a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, our visit was marred by an incident that left us disappointed. Our son accidentally spilled his orange juice, and while we understand accidents happen, we were surprised to find that we were charged for a replacement without being offered a courtesy refill, which is common practice at many other establishments. Additionally, we found the pricing policy regarding drinks to be misleading. Ordering from the kids' menu, we assumed that when it stated "milk and juice extra," it meant we would be charged an additional fee, not the full price. Furthermore, the lack of displayed prices for drinks added to the confusion. When we attempted to address these concerns with the manager, we were met with dismissiveness and were essentially told that this was just how things were done at this restaurant. This lack of understanding and customer service was disappointing, especially considering that the food itself was quite good. While the quality of the food was fine, the deceptive pricing practices and poor customer service overshadowed our experience. Regrettably, we will not be returning to this establishment. Me and my wife just went for our first breakfast at 2 chicks . We waited 20 minutes for the eggs Benedict to arrive and the place was at 20% capacity. My wife got her hollandaise sauce in a side bowl and it was cold ( she did not request it on the side?), she is not usually one to complain. When she asked for warm hollandaise she was told they serve it this way here and there was nothing they could do for us by the waitress. An apparent manager came to our table to explain they could not re heat the sauce and that is how it is served, instead of just making a new one for her. Mine was not cold so I thought they would just take care of us. Instead we were embarrassed as we left the place never to return. Super popular breakfast spot in midtown Reno. The place was packed. We needed up taking two spots at the counter which was fine, and had a really great breakfast. I had am omelette that Parmesan, garlic, and other amazingness. I would definitely order it again. I would've given five stars but it doesn't seem this place knows how to make extra crispy bacon. This is the second time I've been here, asked for extra crispy bacon, and it comes in soggy. I had to send it back both times. They list to say the service was extremely friendly, and hopefully the next time I come in I'll get my bacon right. Will definitely be back regardless. read more

I need to shout out Two Chicks restaurant on Virginia st. We went and had a nice breakfast but what was even better was their take home menu. We got a huge container of home made sausage gravy and a loaf of icky wheat bread (made locally) i used the gravy with our chicken fried steaks last night and have been eating the heck out of the bread with avocado for the past couple mornings. The prices were fair and they had other stuff like take home cocktails and biscuits and gravy at home kits. Lets keep our $$ local and help small businesses stay afloat! read more

Two Chicks serves up one tasty breakfast. I really enjoyed the Red Chick Scramble with fluffy eggs (I think it's cream cheese added) spinach, ham and jalapeños over perfectly seasoned potatoes. They make delicious flavored butters for your toast so skip the preserves. My coffee was constantly filled and great friendly service. When we came it was raining, and their "heaters" were soooo weak. They should have a better waiting places. Our server Angie was AMAZING! Very friendly staff, affordable menu options, and great food! It's right in the heart of Midtown, in a great area. They have available parking too, though they do have a waitlist on busy days and weekends so get here early! Lots of available seating, however, if you don't have a booth and have a bad back like I do, the metal chairs can be a little uncomfortable. Would recommend trying! read more

They hit the nail on the head with the business Moto or idea... everything from the egg shaped plates to all the slogans on the shirts and the decor is so great. I try and stop here every time I go visit my kids at UNR. If you can't find parking mid-town they have several locations in Reno. The best brunch in town! Amazing cocktails, fresh food and friendly staff. Avoid Sunday mornings though, wait can be up to an hour and a half, during the week is perfect.
