My husband ordered three fried eggs and he got two. We spoke to the waiter and he said "oh they forgot your egg" The mimosa was the worse one ever tried. The waiter was AC and he was not good either. Wow! Hidden breakfast gem! I like sweet and my hubby likes savory breakfast! This place had both! I had the cinnamon roll pancakes with sausage and eggs. My husband had the chicken fried steak with eggs over easy and the hashbrowns. Both were amazing!! If you like gravy it was THE BEST! Big chunks of sausage! Oh! Thanks to my good friend Loren K, she recommended this great breakfast spot and we could not have been more pleased with dining here. Two Chicks was opened in 2014 by two women Haley and Jessie (Nevada Natives). Two Chicks takes pride in serving up the freshest ingredients possible and homemade dishes. Location is somewhat hidden but you will eventually find it. Parking is a bit challenging as the plaza where the business is located has very limited parking. We had all our stuff with us so we wanted to park where we could still see our car. Finally a spot came open and we slid in. The restaurant is big and the it is decorated so cute. We felt welcome from the time we walked through the door. We had a beautiful warm morning in Reno so we opted to sit outside on the patio. Our server was very sweet and kind. So many great choices on the menu but we opted for the Breakfast Tacos which was four corn tortillas filled with scrambled eggs, topped with pico de gallo, cotija cheese and drizzled with the most delicious avocado-lime cream sauce. We also ordered a chocolate chip sourdough pancake which was truly out of this world. I had never ate a sourdough pancake so this was a great find. These are just two of the great dishes that this restaurant offers. I certainly wish I lived a little closer as this would become a breakfast staple in my book. Still our go to breakfast spot every time we travel to Reno! It's a family friendly restaurant with options for every eater in the family. The restaurant is built on their gourmelts which they still offer after transitioning from a food truck to a brick and mortar. All the food is from local suppliers or families. And you can even donate to their foundation (Champagne Campaign) which seemed like a good cause to me. Just by buying merch you are contributing. We order a few things new this time. The Two chicks burger with garlic Parmesan fries which the LO loved, pancake dippers, and ol faithful biscuits and gravy. Oh Two Chicks, you have my heart! We made reservations at the Midtown location for Easter brunch, and everything was wonderful! We waited just a few minutes for our table to be ready, and their outdoor patio had heaters, so it was great! When we were seated, I was really surprised at how big the restaurant was. There's so much fun/eclectic stuff around, and the menu is traditional, but there are definitely some twists that you will be pleasantly surprised about! The hash browns are perfectly portioned nests that have a ton of flavor, and the butter that you get with your toast is absolutely to die for. I believe they change it depending on the season, but the flavor we had was a cinnamon blueberry, which was perfect! We all ordered different things: eggs Benedict, breakfast tacos, biscuits and gravy, etc. and everyone loved their meals! The mimosas and bloody Mary's are also very delicious. Had a business breakfast/brunch meeting with a local contact I was meeting for the first time. He was a local and had never been before since it is always busy and hard to get in. Loved the rustic decor and open dining area. Definitely enjoyed their efforts to work with other local purveyors to showcase local products and culinary ideas. While I don't normally eat a big breakfast, I ended up having eggs, sausage, pancakes, hash browns, toast, and coffee. Everything was made with quality fresh ingredients and served piping hot. Two Chicks is one of those hidden gems that you almost don't want to share. Two Chicks started out as a food truck known as Gourmelt, serving gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and they have become my favorite restaurant. Located in Midtown Reno, they can get busy and parking can sometimes be a hassle but it is so worth the wait and the parking issues. The food is always fresh and they have an amazing menu. They serve breakfast skillets, biscuits and gravy, eggs Benedict, and more for breakfast. But for me, it's the sandwiches that make the menu. On this visit I had the Italian Melt with the Parmesan Garlic fries. The sandwich has Mozzarella, Italian Sausage, roasted red peppers, grilled onions, and mushrooms on a Parmesan Garlic bread. I substituted the grilled onions with artichoke hearts and just dove in. I usually order the Ultimelt and tomato soup but I felt daring and was so glad I did. It was amazing. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Reno and I enjoy every visit. I have never had a bad experience here. The staff is always warm and welcoming. Burner Baiting has become a sport at Two Chicks. We showed up for one of our last meals before hitting the playa for Burning Man. It's my last moment anywhere with my diabetic alert dog before I bring her to the pet hotel where she stays every Burn. The staff tried to put us outside when we arrived. Even when I pointed out the service animal vest, there was a long uncomfortable "paws," before seating us indoors. The only thing I asked for was water for the dog. We asked another server since the one we had with the glasses, was pouting since we arrived and we want to ruin her day. She went into the corner and I saw a meeting take place between three of the women. Our server, the one we asked for water and the manager. They glanced over at me and snickered. No water arrived, of course. The manager came over twice and knew what was wrong but asked how things were going anyway. We said everything was fine, not wanting to take the bait. To outflank all these games, we ordered a water with no ice. It came in a drinking glass, (since they deliberately didn't bring us a bowl). We gave that to the dog. Our server came over and asked where the water glass went, knowing exactly where it was. Lol. I looked down at my dog voraciously drinking the water out of the glass because she was parched, then surrendered the glass to our server who made some ignorant remark about us needing to be outside to give the dog water! Needless to say, we didn't tip one dime! They will not play games and invent laws at my dog's expense! These are caddy, petty, ignorant spiteful people! Don't give them your business! read more

Turned to Yelp for good brunch in the area. Saw that Two Chicks had great reviews so we had to "chick" it out! When my son and I arrived, there was a line out the door and people waiting outside. I inquired about the wait for a table and it was going to be close to an hour. I then asked if we could sit at the bar and the hostess said we needed to put our name down for it as well, but the wait wasn't as long as the wait for a table. I put my name down for two seats at the bar. We were seated in under 30 minutes! The staff behind the bar greeted us right away and took our orders. I ordered a coffee and for my entree, I mixed and matched one caprese bene and one veggie bene. The caprese bene came with mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, poached egg, hollandaise, and balsamic glaze drizzle on top. The veggie bene came with poached egg, spinach, mushrooms, red onions, avocado, and hollandaise. My plate also came with a side of parmesan hash browns. Both were flavorful, but the veggie was my favorite. It had all my breakfast favorites: eggs, spinach, mushrooms, and red onions! The plate was very filling. I struggled to eat everything. My son on the other hand, had no trouble demolishing his plate. He ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. Two chicks is a staple of Reno. If someone asks where is the best breakfast in town, I will always list two Chicks at the top of the list. I have never had bad food or bad service here before. My only "complaint" is you can't get in without a 40+ minute wait pretty much all the time. Shows how good they are when everyone in town waits to get in though! Our most recent visit, i got a mixed bene with the veggie and caprese bennies. I love that you can mix and match between 3 options because I love having my options and this way I don't have to choose! Eggs were perfectly poached, which can really make or break this dish. Sweet potato home fries are a nice sweet breakfast side to the savory bene. My husband got the new almond blueberry compot French toast. I don't even really like French toast, but I was so impressed and would totally order this dish myself. The French toast was a great texture and the flavors were remarkable! Coffee is very "diner coffee" no speciality coffees. But for a drip coffee, it's pretty good. I think they Carry wood-fire roasted coffee which is another local business. Came here on a Saturday morning. Made a res about two hours prior. Definitely need to do that on a weekend as there was a wait. The amazing thing is they have an outside coffee bar so grab coffee (or mimosa!) while you wait. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was served hot and tasted fresh. This is my third trip to Two Chicks. I went twice in the last week! When someone says this is one of our top items, believe them. I tried the gour-melt bene with the Parmesan hashbrowns and a side of chicken apple sausage. I am not big on sausage gravy, so this was perfect for me. Topped with the bacon chunks, it was delicious. The hashdrowns paired very well with it. I also had the peachy keen mocktail. The first time I had it was very hot outside, so it was refreshing. This time it was cool and I sat inside, it was good, but I think on a hot day- perfection. The customer service has been great each time, and even on a crowded day, it still moved pretty fast.
