My wife and I have visited Twisted Vine a couple times over the past few months and I am definitely a fan. The staff here has always been great and very friendly. They are always available and making suggestions about the menu and wines and have genuinely looked eager to help. The food is always quite good and the portions are nice. The menu and specials does seem to rotate a bit as well so always be sure to check it out. The brie bowl was definitely a favorite of ours as well as the Rose flights. The setup is larger inside than it looks from outside but seating can still fill up quickly during peak hours so be aware. Overall, I am fan of what they have offered thus far and I hope to return again soon.

My friends and I went to Twisted Vine for a light dinner/pseudo happy hour get together. This was my first time trying out Twisted Vine. You have a choice of sitting indoors and in their outdoor patio. We sat outside, the tables were lower- lol. We tried the half charcuterie platter. You have a choice of 2 cheeses or 2 meats - we chose the 2 cheeses. We also got a bottle of their sparkling wine. The drink + food pairing was awesome; perfect for a summer evening. Service was great as well. Our server checked in regularly to make sure we were ok. Highly recommend

I'm going to go out on a limb here and go ahead and rate this business a 5 despite just going for my first time last night. This had been on Steven's radar for a bit once he knew about it, and I wanted to go to try the baked brie because of my obsession with cheese. We stopped by on a very rainy Thursday night and luckily there were a lot of open tables. We were immediately welcomed by several staff, including the one who brought us vodka & tonic (aka water lol). After a few minutes we decided to go with a white wine flight. They offer both a white and red flight, and you can find the flight choices by scanning the QR code on the menu or check their site, as these flights change monthly. They have daily food specials and they all looked delicious on the site. I was very tempted to try their Thursday patty melt special, but knowing that we were getting baked brie, I decided to not add more heavy items. I went with the apple crisp salad with chicken and Steven got the chopped salad with chicken. The wine flight only comes with three tastings, but they were bigger pours. They were at least three ounces each, so we had a great amount. Both the wine flight and the food came out quickly and everything was delicious. We were checked on numerous times throughout the night and our water refills were always filled before we ran out. A big shoutout to Jerry for his amazing service! I am assuming Jerry is the one who took our food and drink orders, but we were checked on and taken care of by multiple staff members, so shout out to everyone that night! Delicious food and amazing service at a local place for wine. We will definitely be back.

As I've noted in several of my reviews, it's the people that make the place. You can have a place that serves great food with crappy people and it's really not worth the effort to go. Great people make great food even better! That's what we have here at Twisted Vine! The people work here know their Wine, and are friendly, personal, and professional! We truly appreciated our visits This trip into Southern California. Trisha, Jerry, Scott all have done a terrific job and making us feel welcome while taking great care of us! My wife and I truly love the baked brie and chorizo! Another of our favorites is the Caprese skewers! We always look forward to our visits here! If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in for a glass of wine!

We visited Twisted Vine on a Friday evening. There is plenty of street parking on the side streets. The ambiance of the place is laid-back with dimmed lights and lots of high top bar table seating as well as a small bar area. There is also a patio, but we opted to be seated at the bar. We just sampled their Gruener Veltliner and the NV J. Laurens sparkling wine. Neither were stellar and did not quite meet our expectations, however, the olives with feta and blue cheese were fantastic. They were also priced really competitively. Service was amazing too. Twisted Vine remains definitely on our list of wine bars to go to when in the area!

Came here for a bottle of wine and it was a great spot to sit in a quiet space on the patio. Dogs are welcome outside and I would bring mine next time. I would come back for bottomless mimosas next time.

Every once in a while I patronize a place where I feel at home, a restaurant or bar where I think "this is my kind of place". Such is how I felt when I visited Twisted Vine. I walked in and immediately loved the brick walls, the dark wood tables and bar, and shelves of wine along the walls. I was immediately greeted and told to sit wherever I wanted by Scott, who really made me feel welcome. Aside from his friendliness, customers sitting near me were also super friendly, asking if it was my first time there and offering recommendations on wines and food. From the red wine portion of the menu I chose a glass of "M", a cabernet sauvignon from Paso Robles which was absolutely delicious. After looking over the list of tempting bites, I ordered a plate of chorizo & potato empanadas. They came as a set of three and were filled with chorizo, potato, Provolone cheese, and cilantro. They were fantastic and had plenty of chorizo, not overstuffed with potato. It was a Monday night so I watched some football on a silent big screen on the wall and decided on another glass of wine, this time "Head High" which is a pinot noir from Sonoma. I'm normally not crazy for pinot noirs, which confounds me as to why I ordered it, but this is one of the best ones I've tried; I really liked it. This is a place I will definitely come visit again. If I lived in the area this might be a weekly hangout for me but, since I live quite a distance away, I'll still stop by whenever I can.

Great food, great wine, great service! We walked in on a Saturday night & were seated right away. The ambiance is dark & cozy. We ordered my new favorite wine - 2022 Stolpman - "La Cuadrilla" - Ballard Canyon, Ca Concentrated yet light on its feet with bright acidity, dusty tannins and a long, spicy finish. Blend of 75% Syrah,15% Granache and 10% Sangiovese. With a side of olives and their famous baked Brie bowl. Must get the bread bowl. Perfect combo with the wine.

Cute spot right in the heart of downtown Fullerton! There was plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. The ambiance is great- I enjoyed the patio seating outside. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered the white wine flights and a charcuterie board as well. There is an option to get the smaller board for less meats/cheeses, but we opted for the full size. The wine was excellent. Loved the options and the healthy pours in each glass. I'd definitely come back for another girl's day!

He made the reservations online with Nine Social but when he got the confirmation, it said for Macallans so he called and spoke to the manager and we got a table here. Wine list was extensive and since he knew a lot about wine.... I told him to just choose for me. We did a pinot noir to start and then went to a cab. The cab was great! I ended the night with a moscato. I ordered the mango tango and he ordered the wedge. Both delish! The mango tango had that sweet and salty blend perfectly. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse. It was really good! Service was excellent! They let you try the wine before you order a glass! They checked on us constantly and were really attentive. The place had an older feel to it and it's quaint. I like the coziness of it. They had live music going on and Tom the pianist did a great job! He sang to me when Tom was playing. Super sweet! Tom came over to introduce himself and told us about music nights and there will be singers there. We love this place so much we stayed until closing time. We were the last ones to leave! We were already talking about coming back for when the singers will be there. Our first time here... And definitely won't be our last!

Their front of house focus is the wine bar, but they also have a good cocktail and martini menu, as well as a nice selection of food items. The interior is warm and cozy with two different seating areas. The larger front area has bar seating, quite a few tables, and a lounge area in the back corner with several couches. There is another area in the back which is smaller, and houses their cocktail bar and a number of two seat high top tables. You can order anything on the menu from either area. We sat at the bar in front for some Sunday evening cocktails and small bites. We started out with the spinach & artichoke dip ($15). The dip came out very hot, was a big portion, and was very good. However, the menu said it came with toast points, but instead it was served with tortilla chips which were just ok. The advertised toast points or fresher tortilla chips would have made this appetizer better. My first cocktail was the Limoncello Martini (vodka, fresh Limoncello, lemon juice, $15). I usually love anything lemon and this was a good martini with light lemon flavor. She started with the Purple Martin Martini (vodka, raspberry puree, pineapple, $15). This was another good martini with light sweetness from the raspberry and pineapple, not a sugar bomb. We wanted a little more food, so we ordered the Caprese flatbread ($18). It was a good size, and the dough was great. It had a good amount of cheese and tomatoes, and I really liked the balsamic drizzle on top. However, it did not come with the basil that was listed on the menu. Next, I tried the Peperoncino Martini (vodka, Italian Peperoncino brine, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil, $15). I loved this, one of the more unique martinis I've had. She liked her sip so much, she ordered her own for number three. Her second cocktail was the Carmel Apple Martini (carmel apple vodka, Licor 43, lemon, star anise, caramel cube garnish, $15). Most of the time, you would expect a caramel apple martini to be a sugar bomb, but not this one. The flavors were great with a light sweetness. And who doesn't like a caramel square treat? For my last one, I had the Cinnamon Sleigh (bourbon, cinnamon spice, maple, orange twist, $15). This was a good sipping finisher with light cinnamon notes and those great orange aromatics. KJ was our server, and she was very sweet and friendly. We came early in the evening and it was a little slow, so we chatting with her quite a bit. I'd take a half point off for the two food items not coming with the listed items, but rounded up to five stars overall. The bill had a 3% charge added for using a credit card. They have a music trivia night on Thursdays which would be fun to try. We enjoyed our first visit here, and will definitely return again.

They always do a great job with decorating when they have a new theme in effect, and the Great Gatsby décor is no exception. The room is filled with lots of gold streamers, hanging gold light fixtures, art deco artwork, Roman columns, etc. Reservations are highly recommended. We checked in at the host stand with Emma who was very friendly. She seated us immediately at the bar as requested. We enjoy talking with the bartenders and watching them make drinks. Ruben was our bartender and he was excellent in all aspects. I started out with Between the Sheets from the Gatsby menu (rum, cognac, orange, lemon, $18). Rum and cognac is a great combo. This cocktail is spirit forward and well balanced. She started out with a Bartender's Reserve (you call the spirit and flavor profile, and the bartender crafts something special for you, $20). She gave parameters of no hard liquors like whiskey or cognac, not sweet, and not refreshing (i.e. no cucumber). Ruben made the most amazing gin based cocktail. Some of the ingredients he mentioned were plum, passion fruit, pineapple, lime, and a bit of chartreuse and soda. It was complex and perfectly balanced, with great flavors. We have been here many times, and he even served it in a unique tiki mug that we've never seen here before. Now it was my turn to put Ruben to the test. I also wanted a Bartender's Reserve, and I told him to use any spirit as long as the drink focuses on banana or apricot flavor. He went to work, and after a short time a beautiful frosted glass was served to me. I forget all of the ingredients he mentioned, but it was rye based with banana liqueur, a small foam top, and fresh shaved cinnamon on top. The banana was perfectly present with the rye at a nice level. This was a home run all the way. Of course, she wanted another magical creation, and Ruben went to work yet once again. She was served a beautiful yellow cocktail, and he even hand cut a little lemon fish garnish. It was mezcal based with yuzu, elderflower, mango, and lime. It was perfectly balanced, the smoke was at the perfect level, and again it had a great mix of flavors. There was some left over, and he even gave that to her in a chilled side bottle with its own baby's breath flower garnish. It's so fun to watch their bartenders create something from scratch, grabbing various bottles, mixing, tasting, adjusting, and then garnishing and serving. In addition to Ruben's delicious creations tonight, Adrian and Sergio have also made us delicious custom crafted cocktails on several occasions. We will definitely be returning soon for some of their new upcoming themes.

Ambience on the inside as well as the outside are both pretty great. I've also never had a bad meal here, virtually all of their food is spectacular and made from scratch although their prices are not "cheap" they are also very fair, especially given the quality of food. The drinks are also dead on, they have a wide range of craft beer as well as a full bar. The service is great. The only thing I could think of the lands in the constructive arena is their live music. Sometimes they have open mic nights, other times they have a hired band or musician. The music is way, wayyy too loud. I don't mind live music, but it can't be so loud that you are unable to enjoy the company. Patrons should be able to talk to the person or the people next to them without being drowned out by the music. I recently came with friends for drinks and we were having a great time for the first 10 minutes we were there, but when the music started, we couldn't hear each other talk at all. So we just sat there quietly, drowned out to mediocre music. We all had another drink and then left. Might be a better idea to have the music loud enough to be slightly above background noise, but low enough where you can reasonably talk and listen to those around. Even ordering at the bar was tough. We would yell an order at the bartender, who would yell at back for confirmation. Often, exchanges in this dialogue included "what was that?"
