This was our first stop for brunch while visiting Vancouver. The hostess was wonderful and fit us in even though they were crazy busy. In general, the service was fantastic and everyone was friendly. We ordered mimosas, which were different and delicious. I ordered the scrambled eggs and my husband got the banana French toast. Both were amazing, and I had their homemade ketchup with the eggs... incredible. I definitely recommend this place and would go back again... I intend to go back for some homemade ketchup before we go home! read more

Really good place for brunch. The food is great. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked. When I cut through, the egg yolks just oozing out. The brioche was brilliant. Its crust was crisp and the center remained tender. Tastes great with the sauce and egg yolk. I would like to come again to try the French toast! read more

Funky atmosphere although small place. Can be hard to get in. Food good - consistently good. Everything in the menu is good. Service has been good every time we have been which has been fairly frequently. Other than parking being a pain, I have no compliant and would highly recommend. read more

People were lining up before they opened. Luckily we got in on the first seating. Everything was good... The asiago scones were unbelievably soft. The house made jam was not too sweet, excellent. Banana French toast, had big hunks of banana in it, thick. Even their spinach salad with dressing on the side managed to be delicious (how?!!) Get there early and be prepared to wait if you bring a big group, their restaurant doesn't easily accommodate many parties over 5 at a time. read more

Free wifi, quick seating & service, delicious drinks & delicious food! I ordered the lemonade which was amazing sweetened with maple syrup! YUM! And the Baked Eggs... Absolutely delicious! Came with some delicious tomatoes, toast with jam & baked beans & a fried potato hash/pancake! So delicious! Would highly recommend! read more

Not bad, but not amazing. My friend and I got the goat cheese frittata and the salmon benny. The frittata was not bad too and had a lot of goat cheese. Getting a benny is my usual and also getting a salmon benny is my go-to breakfast food. this was was somewhere in the middle of the road. It came on toast, which i had mixed feelings about. Usually I like the chewiness of the English muffin and also like it because it's a circle which matches the egg. It was a little light on the hollandaise, but otherwise not bad. I like that it came with some sides - spinach, beans, and hash. the hash was super greasy, but not the good way. Kind of had the texture of those shoestring potatoes that come in the can. (Don't get me wrong, I like those, just was expected something starchier.) the beans were whatever and the spinach was just wilted spinach that was bland. I was still glad to have some greens in there though. They also had a homemade ketchup, which was cool in theory, but was weird because it had a cinnamon-ish taste. I don't like ketchup in general though, so I might just not know what I'm talking about. The other annoying thing is that they only have one kind of coffee and it's french press. And it was super watered down and weak. I'm cool with less good coffee, but at least give me lots of refills so I can get enough caffeine! Service was fine but not friendly. Luckily we got there early, but there was definitely a line by the time we left. I'd say it's a fine place to try, but would definitely not stand in line to eat here. read more

The area looks a little sketchy but I definitely did not regret my decision to come here! I was lucky that I didn't have to wait and grabbed a seat by the back bar. I got the egg benny which everyone recommended and it was amazing! It was very different from a regular brunch Benedict and the sides were super delicious as well. It is a huge serving and I finished it all because it was too good to be left over. read more

It was my first time at Twisted Forks through the recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. The menu is a lot smaller compared to other brunch restaurants, but the dishes are unique to its aesthetic and vibe of this local business. I ordered the smoked salmon benny; what stood out to me was the balance of the sides that came with the meal. I am not a beans person but those have got to be THE BEST BEANS i've ever had... (new to the bean world). Servers were super friendly and easy going, and really enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to new brunch lovers!! read more

Without any hesitation I can honestly say the Twisted Fork has the best brunch in Vancouver! We have been there a few times now and have yet to be disappointed. The food is amazing, the service is excellent, and non-stop french press coffee? Unbelievable! Everything on the brunch menu is just $11, which is more than a deal for the quality, and amount, of food that you're getting. And did I mention the coffee? Oh my, the coffee. I strongly recommend the Prosciutto Benny with toasted brioche, you won't be let down, and you won't be hungry when you're finished. They are quickly becoming more and more popular, so come early or be prepared to wait. But if you do find yourself standing in line, it is more then worth it. read more

Great breakfast/brunch found here on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The food is delicious and they make all their own relishes, pickles and jams. You can see jars and jars of seasonal fruits and veggies that have been pickled, jammed and canned all beautifully lined up and displayed by towards the back of the restaurant. The service is super nice and the overall ambiance is casual and pleasant. Make sure you get their early for breakfast/brunch though as the lineups can get pretty huge during prime time (11:30am onwards). read more

Decent, but not magnificent place for brunch. If you're coming on a weekend, arrive before 10am or you'll be waiting for at least 30 minutes. BANANA BREAD: Two generous slices of toasted, nutty banana bread with a side of house made jam and whipped butter. Good value for $4. GRUYERE BAKED EGGS: The side of hash browns (with house made ketchup on the side) was excellent. It's the shredded kind, but made super crispy. The baked beans added a nice sweet flavour and texture to the meal, as well. The baked eggs themselves were very much underwhelming. Just place a couple of eggs in a ramekin, sprinkle a thin layer of Gruyere cheese over top, place it in the oven, and that's what you get on your plate. EGGS BENEDICT with PULLED PORK: You won't be disappointed with the heap of sweet, tender pulled pork on each side of the Benny, but the poached egg and Hollandaise sauce is like that of your average Eggs Benny. read more

Great food and fun ambience - a bit noisy but definitely a good vibe. This was a great option for brunch. We lucked out and there wasn't a long wait when we arrived but it did get busier shortly after. The service was great - friendly and quick though we never felt rushed. No waiting area inside so you may have to line up outside so be prepared for that. read more

Best banana stuffed french toast, ever! All the other items on their brunch menu look good, too, but I could never resist the french toast. Great ambiance, very friendly staff. Love the quirky decorations made of twisted forks, literally. We arrived on a weekday shortly after 9am, and it was already almost all filled up. Check out their special deal for dinner. It's a different thing for every weekday but I can't find a list anywhere. read more

My friend and I went here last night. Right when I walked in the door, I was already taken by the ambience. The decor is very cozy and the colour scheme is very warm. It makes a person feel extremely welcome. We were greeted and seated right away. We ordered the duck grillette and mussels from the "no forks" section of the menu and the duck confit from the "small forks" section of the menu. All of the dishes were savoury and delicious. However, the mussels were a tad on the salty side, but the fresh bread made a nice compliment. My favourite, though, was the dessert: pear tart tartan. The pears were extremely flavourful; there was a very rich taste. The puff pastry at the bottom was very crunchy even though the dish was served a la mode. As we enjoyed our meal, we couldn't help but take notice of what others were eating. The scallop dish looked delectable, something I'd like to try on my next visit, and apparently the coffee cake is amazing, something that the friendly patron next to us expressed. He was a guest with one of the waitresses from the restaurant. She was very friendly, as was the rest of the staff. I will have no problem going back. I love how it is open late and the atmosphere is so pleasant. read more

Nice customer service and excellent atomosphere in the restaurant. Because many people highly recommend Egg Benny on Yelp, I tried it with a french press coffee. The decoration of my plate was so good and also tasted good. However, each of food on my plate was a little bit sweet overall than I thought. I prefer more salty. If I have a chance, next time I want to try at dinner time. read more

Came here on Valentine's Day and it was great! Loved that they take your phone number and text you when a table is ready as well as provide a link to see where you are in line. I really had high hopes when reading all the positive Yelp reviews of Twisted Fork. Our group of three had the perfect seat at the front window. Perfect to watch the slowly-building Friday night mayhem of Granville Street, and to catch up with each other in a comfy space. Nice decor, blending the old space's exposed ceilings with modern accents. Service was friendly and prompt. Be warned of the 'No parking after 10pm" signs outside on Granville street. We watched every car in sight promptly being towed away. We decided to try several things on the menu. The ceviche, beet and goat cheese salad, sourdough toast, asparagus, halibut cakes, and I had the lamb shank as an entree. All in all a good sampling from the menu. I noticed that a few items were priced higher here than on the website, and I'm not a big fan of that. I ordered up a grape soda (grapefruit, mint, soda, simple syrup) to go with it. The drink was overwhelmingly minty, but the other drinks at the table were good. For each food item I tried, I realized that I've had a better version elsewhere in Vancouver, except for the sourdough toast (with pesto, tomatoes and goat cheese) , which stood out as my favourite. The other items in the small forks section were all quite small, and we all had to settle with a small taste of each. The lamb shank was a bit fatty with the skin on, but the grilled polenta was excellent. I'm not excited to try Twisted Fork again for another dinner outing, but would like to try the brunch to see if that holds up to the hype. read more

This place has been so hyped up on yelp I decided to drop by finally with a couple of friends for brunch. After over an hour wait we were finally seated and I got my typical smoked salmon eggs benny. It was served with hash browns, roasted spinach, and baked beans. Aside from the hash browns, wasn't a fan of any of that. The eggs benedict was underwhelming. The eggs were rubbery and vinegary. The toast was dry. The smoked salmon wasn't anything special and was a tad too salty. I much prefer my eggs benedict on an English muffin but I guess since this place is "French" the toast was used instead. On the whole, I've had much, much better eggs benedict. If you're here for value, order a plate of brunch to share between two people and it should fill you up. Otherwise, I don't think I'll come here again. Not worth the wait. Two and a half stars for the underwhelming food and a bonus half a star for the friendly staff. (I'd rate this place 3.5 stars if I could.) read more

Whether it be the brunch or dinner menu, this restaurant is always my go-to whenever I'm in town and all the fancy places are too booked to take in any strays. As much as this place is praised for their brunch menu, I enjoy this place a lot better for their dinner selections! I can't stress enough on ordering their pound of mussel. Even had to get the waitress to bring TWO baskets of bread to drink down their delicious sauce they used til the plate was spot clean. I was so full, I couldn't eat the entree I had already ordered (needed to call a buddy who lives in the area to come help me out! Yes, I was that stuffed) My photos, unfortunately, only show their brunch food. Literally the best meal in downtown that has the best bang-for-the-buck value! read more

Came for brunch, thinking I could order just a simple simple breakfast. Nothing too heavy, but they only have the brunch menu available (every item is 14.50). Ended up ordering the arugula salad and ordering the sausage frittata (splitting half). Good, nothing for me to rave about though. Service was super slow also, which detracted slightly from the experience. read more

We decided to try out this restaurant after cafe Medina had an hour wait. Hostess told us (party of 8) which included two infants 30min wait. They decided to seat a party of two and a party of four l before us... who came and put their name on the list about 10min after us. Even though we told the hostess we can be separated... she still seated the other party before us. When confronted, hostess explained its difficult to seat a party of 8. Went due to yelp reviews, but service is definitely not something they put too much effort in. Also... it was extremely hot inside. read more

Ordered the French toast and a mimosa to try and cure a hangover. That didn't work out too well. But it was delicious and the service was great, the lines were pretty much out the door when we got there so we decided to check out the cafe across the street until our table was ready. Will be back to try out more items off the menu. Didn't give 5 stars because we had to spend more money somewhere else to wait so we weren't too happy about that. read more

Excellent food and excellent service. For all you San Franciscans and Los Angeleans (or Southlanders) this place is a must stop next time you're in Vancouver! The French toast and eggs Benedict are some of the best around. The French toast has hidden gems of banana inside and furthermore the mimosas have a shot of dark rum inside for that added kick! Service is excellent - just tell them a fellow Californian on Yelp recommended this place to you and you'll be treated like royalty!!! read more

Ok, this place needs to have 6 stars! I'm an avid Vancouver bruncher and I can't believe I'm just now discovering this place. The place itself is tiny but charming. The staff is wonderful, warm and welcoming, and the food is SO amazing. I had the baked eggs and my partner had the eggs benny. I'm not sure if they bake the bread in house because that's the best bread I've had in a long time. I'm surprised at how all the brunch offerings were the same price -- and honestly it's a pretty low price for the location in the city and Vancouver in general. I will definitely be back! read more

The food here is quite simply incredible. The asiago scone, with butter and homemade raspberry jam, was the best scone I've ever had. The eggs benedict, on a thick slice of brioche, was perfectly made, and the sides (garlic spinach, beans, and crispy hash browns) were equally impressive. And then there's the staff: warm, personable, helpful, attentive, and friendly. Finally, the prices: more than reasonable for the fare provided. I hope to return many many times to this fabulous brunch spot. I want to try everything on the menu, but whatever I order, I know I'll be getting a scone too! read more

A few weeks ago, we went for dinner here and simply put, it was amazing. From start to finish, we dined on delicious food and tasty drinks. We tried the pulled pork doughnuts as an appetizer, and loved them heaps. For our entrees, we had the lamb shank and duck breast. Both were beyond tasty and flavourful. The Caesars we had were both unique and delicious. Today we came back for brunch after their brunch menu piqued our interest, and suffice to say, we were met with beyond delicious food. We had the banana stuffed french toast, and the eggs benny, filled with smoked salmon. Both portions were large to say the least, and they tasted larger than life with an exorbitant amount of flavour in each bite. We highly recommend this place to anyone living in or visiting Vancouver. Whether it's brunch or dinner, you will leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face. First amazing service, we had a toddler with us and he started to cry and we had the manager/ host bring us a plate of fruit for him to eat. I thought that was very nice! Had brunch here, and was lucky that I didn't have to wait in line! It's a cute little place with a hip feel, and lots of menu options for comforting brunch food. Cool option if you're ever downtown and looking for a brunch option. Would come again! read more

Delicious!!!! Need I say more? Okay I will.... What a cute place! Love the fork theme and the comfy seats up near the front. Sharing the small plates seems to be the way to go here- and actually they aren't that small and the value for the journey of scrunptiousness is well worth it. Weary from traveling this was the first place we ate when we hit town and it set the bar pretty high for the rest of the trip. Our waitress was super cool and gave us the scoop on the local beer selection and also gave us some other good suggestions of places to check out while in town and gave us a rundown of the Canucks game.Hell she was cool enough that she should have just joined us for our meal! But that would have meant I would have had to share the amazing food with more than just boyfriend. We started with the carmelized onion creme brulee. Oh my.... Creamy, delicious, amazing with the bread. Next up was the braised octopus and the bacon wrapped scallops, also wonderful and accompanied by delightful sauces. Ah and the piece de resistance! A chocolate tart with raspberry ganache and lavender ice cream. Great crust, texture and flavor. We found out the chef's specialty was pastries and this was extremely evident by this piece. So this was my first time and it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere is really laid back and the staff was excellent. It's a breakfast/brunch place that of course serves drinks. Came here for brunch last weekend when I was visiting Vancouver on vacation. Everything about the place was pretty average. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. The eggs were well poached but the Hollandaise sauce was a bit lacking in flower and I wasn't a big fan of the spinach and potato side it came with or the baked beans. I did get an interesting beer and lime sorbet cocktail (hey no judging i was on vacation!), that was pretty good. Came across this place Google mapping restaurants close to the hotel my gf and I were staying at for new year's. Saw the brunch menu @10am-2:30pm & open on Sundays and made it a "must-go". Locating the place took a couple drive-arounds (noobs) per the non-descript exterior styling, although it was worth the time to find. Greeted by the owner and his friendly staff we quickly put my name on the guest list amongst a full house. The wait was ~30mins, so we had enough time to grab Starbucks and come back. There were a couple other couples ahead of us waiting for the next seats to free up but the owner managed to slide us in ahead of schedule at the bar because we're cool like that. The waitress was nice and the chefs served the food faster than the wait for a seat. The inside atmosphere is modern rustic, accented with trademark twisted forks. My girl got the banana french toast brioche and I got the bacon, carmelized onions, and brie frittata--sans the plum tomatoes. Her toast was made with french bread, served with fresh whipped cream and maple syrup. Yum. My frittata was also delicious, not too runny and not too cooked. Served with side greens and a scoop of sweetcorn. I would absolutely advise going here and plan on returning. Pros: Taste, cost, hours. Cons: Size versus demand, a little warmer than needed inside. read more

AMAZING food and incredible service. Though be warned, if you want to gain 10lbs, this is the best place to do it downtown! There were four of us that went for dinner the first time and we may a mistake in that we each ordered a side. Suffice to say, we didn't make a dent in our meals and all of us had leftovers. That being said, it's seriously some of the best food I've had in Vancouver. The poutine, WOW! And the bone marrow cheesy bread is a must have. And pretty much any main dish you order will completely blow you away - no exception. One more thing, its completely affordable! Most Yaletown restaurants can blow the bank in one meal but this place, the price is right! :) You seriously can't go wrong with this place, it's the perfect combo. And though it looks small from the outside, it has a ton of dining space so don't be misled. :) read more
