We went to Cora's in downtown for New Years breakfast, it was pretty full at 1pm but we were able to get a spot after just a 5mins wait. Probably because it was just the two of us. Their menu was very different from the last time I was there. They had some new items added like a lemon & herb potato/sweet potato side. I got their Banana, pineapple, guava and dragon fruit cocktail (spirit free) and loved it! It was so refreshing and not too heavy. It was also not too sweet. I also really enjoyed their buckwheat blessing savoury crepe - which came with 3 buckwheat-sorghum crepes stuffed with sausage and cheddar cheese. And a side of potatoes and fruits. Their assortment of fruits was so good, I don't think I have had such sweet pineapple before. Even their strawberries were really good! My partner got their blueberry pancake - so soft and fluffy. If you're in mood for a good hearty breakfast, I would highly recommend Cora's. They are soo many options to choose from, everything from omelettes, bennies, crepes, pancakes, sandwiches, and so much more. Great breakfast spot that was within walking distance from our hotel. We were used to central time zone so woke up early for here. As a result, many breakfast restaurants were not open yet for the day. I found Cora on yelp and it was a great spot. They even had some early bird specials. I'm a sucker for skillets, and Cora has a good one. Best of all, the one I would pick is on their menu deals at the moment, making it a bargain. My ideal skillet would be crispy home fries, bacon, cheese, onions, red and green peppers, and an over easy egg. Cora's Ten Star Skillet adds spinach, green onions, ham, sausage, and, um ... frankfurters and bologna? I almost had them leave those last ingredients out, but then figured, what the heck, and tried the standard version. It was very good. I do wish the base had been crispy home fries rather than rather large potato wedges, but I just left those, and convinced myself that's where all the calories were. Service was friendly and quick, and the location, which doesn't look like much on the outside, is quite nice inside. Overall, very good quality for such a large chain. read more

We came for a leisurely breakfast before boarding our cruise ship to Alaska. We chose Cora's because it was close to our hotel. The food was fresh and tasty. The fresh fruit that came with my ham and cheese crepe sandwich was so fresh and flavorful. The fresh fruit was varied and plentiful, the cantaloupe and honeydew actually had taste. The best part of the meal was our server Viviana. She was AMAZING, considerate, quick and friendly. Refilled my sisters latte with a cup of regular coffee. She offered us samples of a mango smoothie. A huge number of breakfast options, many of them are vegetarian. The vegetarian options are not clearly labelled but they are easy to find. I don't believe there are any vegan options. We had a burrito crepe, the gigi omelette, and spinach/onion/goat cheese benedict. All three were good; hard to find anything to complain about wrt to the food...but also hard to write a glowing review about any of the dishes. The service was the star here. We were seated immediately, coffee arrived quickly, food not far behind. Friendly and efficient. If you are looking for a huge selection of breakfast items, decent food and good service served in a restaurant with a corporate feel...you can end your search. Would we go back? We just had breakfast at Cora's in Coquitlam. I will never go back again. There were 4 of us, 3 of our breakfasts arrived cold. The fourth arrived after the three of us had finished eating. When the waitress asked to refill my coffee which wasn't very often she spilled the coffee over the table. My breakfast was one egg with fruit. I asked the waitress if it came with toast and potatoes she said yes. I got my breakfast which only came with toast. The fruit got all over the plate and got into my egg yolk, I wish they had put the fruit into a bowl. My husband said his pancake was so small, nothing like the picture. It's almost impossible to find a restaurant that "Features" fresh fruit on the menu. All of the fruit offered here is not only fresh but it is perfectly ripe and delicious. The service was welcoming. They close at 3pm, close to when I arrived. I asked if they were still open and the waitress said "of course" and sat me down at a nice table. It's has a attractive dining room which is huge but was almost empty by this time. I ordered and was served promptly. I couldn't believe how good the fruit was. I've walked by this place so many times but never tried it out until recently. I came for brunch with a friend on Saturday around 11 am, and it wasn't too busy. Appearances can be deceiving; it's a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside. I saw a lot of families eating here, so it's not a hip brunch spot like Medina, but the food is pretty solid. Most of the brunch menu consisted of either sweet dishes like pancakes or french toast, or savory breakfast platters and benedicts and omelettes. They also offer some sweet or savory crepes. I went with the 10 star omelette ($16.45), which comes with a ton of different meats and veggies. I asked for no onions and peppers as well as cheddar. Our server was pretty nice about my requests. My friend ordered their vegetarian omelette (Theo's). Each omelette also comes with potatoes and toast and some sliced tomato on the side. Food came out fairly quickly. The omelette isn't as much of an omelette as a flat egg scramble with everything mixed in (see my picture). I didn't mind, but keep in mind it isn't what you traditionally picture when you think of an omelette. It was a large portion; I don't know how many eggs they put in but I'm guessing 3-4. They don't skimp on the meat either. I was struggling to finish my omelette by the end. When we paid, our server also gave us a loyalty card. I guess we'll have to come back again some time so we can rack up the $'s on it :) read more

Let's be clear, Cora is NOT a high class, organic, free range, grass fed, named origin of your food type of place. What Cora is... is a delightful throwback to the shabby-chic period where a solid, well prepared, tasty classics breakfast fare can be found. Just looking at the menu, you already know the need to come back... the idea will haunt your decision making process. All the normal things like the "Western" and "Spinach and Cheddar" omelettes are there.. but a few twists like the "10 Star" which for myself, is the winner. Call it the "Everything and the kitchen sink" dish, it has everything meat and veg related, including bologna. Don't let that scare you off. Once you commit, it's no going back; with things like Bacon and Frankfurters also tossed in, you won't regret this good decision. Due to Covid, they have put up plastic screens/walls everywhere, and THAT IS OKAY. I appreciate the fact they clean everything before seating, and we were spaced apart from other tables. The portions were good, and customer service was great, and they had plenty of Kid distractions, once the kiddo decided that they were done with the food situation. Would I come back here again? Yes. Is it as good as Forage (a gourmet breakfast place down the street)? Yes, in different ways. Should you come with your group of friends, and have well made, tasty, solid "pedestrian" food? The restaurant has a very bright and cheery atmosphere and was packed when we arrived around 9:30 am. Service was ok but was a little less attentive for beverage refills. This is a chain restaurant with breakfast and lunch options. The servings are ample, but not too much. The food was decent, but very "chain restaurant" in quality. Think of the food as similar to a "Denny's" or "iHop." The service was great, everyone working seemed friendly and had a good hustle. We didn't realize it was a chain until after we were seated-- we probably wouldn't have eaten here. We like to try the locally owned cafes when we visit Vancouver. read more
