The ribs had a slightly sweet taste to their sauce which is totally up my alley. My sister loved the meatloaf. The soft protein mixed with the crispy onions and veggies was a good mix. The appetizers were so good; the shrimp was nice and plump. The steak in the petit plate was so tender. And the chicken piccata was hearty and plentiful. The sushi roll was meh though. S E R V I C E The employees were nice but the service was slow. I asked for water 5 minutes after siting and we didn't get it for over 20 minutes. L O C A T I O N The restaurant is really close to the water and is very cute. There's indoor and outdoor seating available depending on your mood. There's metered parking but it's kind of hard during rush hour.

It's their prerogative, but I think this place would do better with a more focused menu. Based on the other reviews, there's clearly some star dishes people routinely order so it might be cost effective for them to pare down whatever isn't doing as well. If I'm in the area, I'll give them another try and see if the dishes mentioned in the reviews are better than what I ordered.

Unfortunately i have to agree with G.P.'s review. I think that by now the trial period/new restaurant excuse does not apply. I used to enjoy the food and the baked goods here during the first few weeks that the restaurant was open, but over the two months the food, service, and atmosphere of a place with a lot of potential has gone down hill... very quickly. As a regular customer, up until recently, it has been easy to spot the changes that led me to my decision that it is not worth returning there again in the hopes that the desserts will taste better again. Not only was the food inconsistent each time I went, but the quality of the food has gone down noticeably although the chef seems to be great at what he does and makes the best of his situation. I often used to pick up from here because the atmosphere seemed so chaotic that it was not worth going through the process of ordering, sitting, and waiting so long for something that is already ready in the display to arrive at my table. I would have to say the biggest problem is how the restaurant is poorly staffed, especially during the busy lunch hours when there should be at least two servers on hand to deal with all the customers. When I sat at inside for lunch one day, I couldn't help but feel bad for the one server who had to serve food, take orders at the register, bus tables, and make coffee for every person at the restaurant. I find it difficult to comprehend why the owner/manager still has not had enough sense to have at least two people working at a time. The servers are always very nice, but they are clearly overwhelmed, as anyone would be, trying to complete every task but cooking while the place is full. Twist's atmosphere never seems to feel relaxed or comfortable, even when it isn't full of people. The owner's demeanor does not help bring the mood up either. My friends and I have all commented on her cold attitude and often unprofessional attitude, as we have seen her talking down to her employees and commenting on their every move at times. She also is often just standing and staring intently at the customers or the server.She's definitely one of the reasons that my friends and I preferred picking up food from there. The reason I'm giving it two stars is because It was good in its first few weeks, it has potential, and the servers are friendly when they have a spare second; otherwise I'd give it a one since I do not recommend the food or the chaotic environment and its lack of enough staff. read more

The bright yellow awning caught my eye, so we decided to try Twist Eatery for Lunch. I really love the look of this place, very clean lines, tall ceilings, and a cool but not too trendy look. The staff were so helpful, I decided to try the Ceasar Salad and the Tunisian Tuna sandwich. My wife had the Orzo Pasta Salad and the Anna's special Burger.We sampled each of our orders as I always get food envy,everything was so good. The Tunisian Tuna has so many wonderful flavors, yet it was not too heavy. The Burger was just right, I wanted to eat the whole thing. The Salads were very tasty, I am not sure which one I prefer. So for our first time here we were so happy to find this little gem in our neighborhood. Ordered the pulled brisket sandwich. Absolutely delicious! The bread of the sandwich had grill marks which I think gave it a more smokey taste. The pulled brisket was delicious, marinated in some sweet sauce. The plate also came with a side of kale cabbage slaw which was surprisingly really good. I don't really like kale, I think it's too bitter and thick as a vegetable but slaw salad it was quite tasty. Customer service was great! No problems with anything but giving 4 stars because I've only tried this plate. Can't wait to try another and change my score to five stars! read more

For a sandwich shop, I expected a much better-quality bread option, especially something whole grain or healthier. If you're trying to eat healthy, this is definitely not the place I would recommend. I ended up opening the sandwich, eating what was inside, and throwing the bread away. Not worth $9 in my opinion.

I've eaten pastramis many times throughout my life, and I can honestly say that theirs has completely blown everyone else's out of the water. The traditional pastrami fixings are delicious, but OMG, that bread is simply divine, and completes the experience, with me drooling with every bite . Since that first experience i've also tried their submarine sandwich, tuna sandwich, pizza, and house salad. All very delicious, and clearly seasoned and made with care. The portions are great, and the cost for what you're getting is quite reasonable. There's one table indoor, and a couple outside at the sidewalk. I mostly order to-go, but if the indoor table is available, I eat right there. It's a very small facility, but their energy is very inviting. I'll keep coming back whenever I'm in the area. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, the ingredients are obviously high quality, and the menu proves that healthy food doesn't have to be bland or boring. Whether I'm grabbing breakfast, lunch, or a smoothie, I always leave feeling energized instead of weighed down. The service is just as impressive as the food. Every member of the team is welcoming, friendly, and genuinely seems to enjoy what they do. They remember regulars, make you feel appreciated, and create an atmosphere that keeps you coming back. He received 3 pancakes, 2 eggs over medium, and 2 sausage links. The server brought out 2 crispy pieces of bacon. Everything was cooked correctly.
