I bought the TV Ears in 2024. Had not left a review because I was waiting to see if they would still be working after one year. To date, the Ears are still working. No mumble sound anymore. Everything so clear. I decided to buy them because I thought I was getting deaf, although I was not TOO OLD last year. I was only 82. I installed them myself !!! following the instructions. When I heard the clear voice through my "new ears" on the TV, I almost fainted. The speakers on my TV are in the back. It was a mumbling sound. Not even my own language did I understand. Now it is kosher. They are very expensive. I would get a second set just to have them ready if the ones I have were to die on me. I highly recommend them and I am letting new users know to take it easy when installing them. Do not panic. Read and re-read the instructions. If I did it at 82, you can do it. Bought a new digital system. Battery wouldn't charge. And couldn't remove screws from headset to intall new battery. TV ears WOULD NOT REPLACE 2X DEFECTIVE PRODUCTbatt without me paying for the new battery and headset, As a long time customer I know TVears is great when it works. we called about 330 got a technician with an attitude problem I have had him before and the same attitude was recived then will not let you talk he knows all what happened to the customer is always right. I think he needs some kind of class on talking to customers we have 5 sets we are having problems with the new one. talked this morning on chat left all my info now just waiting for a call also you are send me a new battery but I have to pay for shipping as far as I care you can keep it I have batteries if charged I will get in touch with my credit card company.not a great experience read more

I am so disappointed in T.V. Ears!!! As is stated in many, many of the reviews product material is of poor quality, breaks easily, very easily! I really believed their ads. I thought T.V Ears would improve my T.V. listening pleasure, and it did for 4 MONTH'S. First thing that happened was the "stem" that is attached to the ear piece cracked, then the muffled voices caused by static; made it impossible to hear. I ordered a pkg. of 10 foam covers (a year's supply was $19.99) When I received the foam ear tips there was only a pkg. of 8 foam tips!! With all their added charges it came to $30.23. So now I am out a total $110.22!!!!!. That is a lot of money for me or anyone. How could they do this to anyone ? I am hurt, I am sad and I am angry! From what I have read they do not stand behind their product without more charges! I just can't do it. read more

Tv ears manufacturer DOES NOT stand behind their products. When one arm of a headset failed to work, they refuse to replace the headset and require us to Purchase a completely new system which is way more expensive than any of the newer technology systems on the market! They won't replace the malfunctioning headset after we purchased a whole system including 2 headsets, charging station, and sound bar! Horrible to require seniors on a fixed budget to purchase a whole new system to replace the malfunctioning arm on 1 headset! I will purchase a different system from a more reputable company. read more

Thank goodness for the ears! My husband was against me getting (quite a few years ago) but that didn't stop me and I bought. And, now I can hear the dialogue missed before those "ears". Reviewed in the United States / Amazon purchase Purchased in December 20 2022 and within 3 months the flexible plastic earpiece arm broke about 1/4 inch above the receiving unit. Called TV Ears and after a considerable hassle with the representative, finally they agreed to send me a new set with the understanding that I return the broken set at my mailing expense within 10 days or they would charge me for the new one ($100.00 which is really expensive for what it does). Used the new set for just over the 6 month guarantee period and they broke in the same place. After looking on Amazon for TV ears I noticed they new version hs a different way the earpiece attaches into the receiving unit with a heavy plastic support piece exactly where my headphone kept breaking. I contacted TV ears to see if I could get the new improved headset and again, working with a very difficult representative, was told that the new headset does not work with the older version transmitter. Frankly, I find that hard to believe, it is the same unit, is digital and sends and receives the same kind of signal, however, maybe not at the same frequency. I find it difficult to make myself spend $100.00 to replace my headset when the same thing will probably occur again. Instead, I use a separate headset plugged into the TV Ears headset which, once you get the right angle to receive the signal on the TV Ears headset, you are good to go. The sound is very good and I can hear the tv very well with them, but the product is defective and the customer service stinks and they do not stand behind their product. I sometimes wonder about TV Ears. Their design hasn't changed at all in over a decade, and engineering is sort of meh, although they make a big deal over it. However, their customer service is outstanding. They listen to you, are interested in your satisfaction and are competent. This seems unusual for a company that seems to dominate its market, but it's enough for me to keep loyal. At least until a better product comes out. read more

I'm sorry but I have to tell it like it is. I'm not totally happy with my tv ears. I think they are a very cheap quality with a pretty large price tag. I don't know if mine are any different than anyone else's but my sound goes from a very low sound that you can't understand to an extreme loud . There seems to be no in between sound. I have been wanting to get these for a very long time, like since Pat Boone was doing the advertising. Now I'm sorry I got them. After having purchasing 5 sets for family and myself and 5 stars. The last version of the long-range (and formerly the only ones that anyone should by) were not worth buying. All the models in the past had a directional in the ear piece. The new ones only have straight in the ear non-adjustable ear piece. I tried them and had my wife try them as well. The ends do not stay in the best spot for sound, you can hear from one or the other if you pull them out, otherwise it is extremally muted. I will no longer recommend this product. I have had the original, the digital and the older long range, all had the directional/adjustable ear piece. I was told that there were a few complaints on the adjustable ends so they ignored all the happy users to appease a few. Not a good business practice. Why not just add snap/screw on ends with both? So disappointed in what was a great 5 star product. read more

I ordered tv ears not knowing it was not compatable with my Panasonic. I informed the rep what brand I had before ordering for her to decide if I needed analog or digital. After over an hour of trying to set it up, which I firmly believe I did not do it correctly, I called back to ask them how I would know if it was done correctly before the 14 hour charge was completed. It was then I was told my TV is not compatible & my options were buy another tv or return it. I paid $25 shipping fee both ways & they only approved if $10 reimbursement. I never should have been sent the product in the 1st place so I should not have to be responsible for the shipping cost. Shame on this company for their bad customer service. read more

Had problem initially with the TV connection and one set of ears that worked temporarily at best. Customer service figured out the connection problem, walked me thru the fix and solved the issue with the faulty ear set. They were courteous, knowledgeable and polite. I just received the tv speaker and am sad to report that it is no better than the poor quality speaker that is built into the new tv. In addition it cannot be hooked into the remote control of the tv so you now have another remote to deal with. It is sold with a 30 day money back guarantee but when you call to get a RA,you are told you have to pay the return freight which is substantial. Also, they sell this anywhere from $329 on their site to $199 through Costco. At Costco there is no freight charge coming or going. A poorly represented and equally poorly performing tv speaker. We had TVEars in the past and were happy with them. When we got a new TV the old ones would not work so we purchased a new set. I had some trouble installing the unit on the back of the TV but found that the instructions helpful. I now am able to understand words much clearer than when using my Bose speaker. I only wish that each earpiece volume could be adjusted individually. read more

I bought TV Ears for my mother and it has been life changing ! Every time I would go to her house, she would blast the tv so loud it was painful for everyone else in the room. With TV Ears she is now able to listen to the television at the level she wants and is able to hear the tv more clearly. I guess I will have to wait a while to find out if everything continues to work and the headsets don't break. I found a promo online by just Googling TV Ears , it was 1 year old and they still honored it. i ended up getting the digital and it worth it, my parent had an analog tv and a few months later got a digital. I could not get it work on there new flat screen. I called in for tech support . Don't do it! The product works great...the problem is in the design of the headsets! They break way too easy! I have had three sets, including the newest 5.0 Digital set! The bows break right away. No matter how delicately you try to handle them. Customer service tried to tell me that I was flexing them wrong! No! The design is flawed. I can send them back for replacement (only because I am within 6 months of purchase) or I can purchase replacements. The problem with replacement is that the new ones are the same design!!! TV ears work GREAT. For a while that is. They have this 5 years LIMITED warrantee. Let me tell you what Limited means. When they quit working, they will give you a replacement for 1/2 price, if over 6 months. I bought most likely 8 sets from Costco. This was the Analog 2.3 models. One time I bought 2 sets and put one in the closet because I knew I would need them. I called TV ears to see if they had a better set that would last longer. OH yes. We have a wonderful set for $229.00 They still break just as easy. I called and told them they break easy. Well. You ARE plastic, they say. I just can't win. My mother is 91 . She hears sounds but they can be gargled. Even with hearing aids. TV ears, actually have a great thing going for them. We are set up, they KNOW these will not last, and the people will keep buying them. Because the work for a WHILE.. Beware. Don't waste your energy or money. It is never ending, and the people that need them, have to do without TV when they break. Which they will. PS for this 5 year warrant.
