Beautiful decor and ambiance. This 3 star will be for this visit. I don't know if we'll be back. So me explain. My family went to Tuscan with 3 of 4 of us dreaming about Tagliatelle al Tartufo. The service was simply phenomenal. I don't know if that was because we went at 3pm on a Sunday but I hope it is their standard. I ordered a beer and the rest of the group wine. So far so go. We ordered our appetizers beef tartare, scallop carpaccio and octopus. Beef tartare was just plain, no flavor. Scallop carpaccio was good but not great. Octopus was really good. So our main and most waiting dish came. Tagliatelle al Tartufo: first what a disappointment not knowing that they weren't making at the table anymore. It was that presentation that got our mouths watering. Ok, so we thought. It still must be amazing despite $45 price tag and a great amount of truffle. Not bashing about the price but we were expecting something exceptional, nothing less. It tasted just like a microwave frozen food (actually the frozen food I eat taste better). What a disappointment We were expecting a creamy, flavorful great pasta. I would suggest to not even bother, try something else. My mother in law had mushroom ravioli and said it was great. Because service was great, that didn't hold us down. Our waiter suggested our desserts and we accepted his suggestion. Good Walnut Frangipane and good Tiramisu. Again nothing exceptional. Came here on a Friday night with my friends. This place never ceases to amaze me. I can't rave enough about how wonderful it is. Our bartender Kevin was knowledgeable and offered recommendations. I came here on a weeknight with a party of 12. The restaurant is very large, so while there were a lot of other guests, it did not feel packed. The atmosphere and service was very pleasant. We shared a few cheese and charcuterie platters which were enjoyable. I had the Linguini di Seppia - lobster with squid ink pasta. It was okay, but I feel like you're paying for the location and atmosphere as the entree felt like something from Olive Garden. The linguini was over cooked and had no texture, and the lobster was really small and overdone/chewy. The flavor of the sauce was nice, but for $52 I expected much better food. The server brought a dessert platter to share - I only tried a cannoli, which was oddly sour tasting and left me longing for Mike's Pastry. Very disappointed in this restaurant. I was there last week and ordered the Filet Mignon medium well. The steak came extremely well done. I tried eating this and two of my co-workers noticed how burnt it was. I decided to show the waiter. When I did he said that it was medium well. I said there was no pink at all. He continued to argue the point until he consented to get me a new steak. Unsurprising when the new steak came it was barely cooked in the middle, if at all. Payback for having the nerve to question him. I could not eat the steak and left very disappointed in this restaurant's ability to cook a steak and for providing such arrogant service. I was so looking forward to coming to Tuscan Kitchen after seeing the menu online and photos of the food and restaurant. My friends and I made reservations and were seated within a few minutes. The restaurant itself is beautiful but the food leaves MUCH to be desired, especially for the price point. My friend's chicken was bland and dry. My ravioli was fine but for the price point I expected to be blown away. My other friend's dish (a pasta dish which I don't quite remember) was tasteless. The service itself was fine, but we all left less than impressed with the food. I may try it again in the future, but for now, I am really in no rush to make it back. read more

Exceptional service! We had our Dad's retirement party at Tuscan Kitchen Seaport this past Thursday evening. Always loved this location so we knew it had to be here. We honestly couldn't have imagined it to have gone any better. I met with Olivia, their Events Manager a couple months prior to go over the details of the surprise party. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! His colleagues and family were so impressed and had an amazing night! We literally closed the place down. Terrible food, poor service, overpriced. I tried it for the first and last time. Super overpriced ($58 for a pork chop, $22 for a glass of cheap red wine). I was touring Boston with a friend who's a local and decided to eat here last minute. We were both surprised to be greeted in such a pleasant manner upon being seated. The hosts are extremely friendly and got us seated very quickly. The vibe of this place was welcoming, most up scale places like this usually aren't welcoming to middle class teenagers. But we were treated the same as the rich locals coming in. Now to get to the food, it was great. This is definitely traditional italian. It should be called italian comfort food to be honest haha. Our only complaint was that the server didn't keep an eye on how many drinks people around us were drinking. Some folks around us couldn't even function. I'd understand if this was a bar or grill, but a place like this shouldn't tolerate drunks yelling and grabbing each other around families trying to eat. read more

I found this restaurant on Dine Out Boston so came for lunch with a co-worker. The prix fixe menu was only $25 for a three-course meal. The arugula and radicchio salad was good. The duck pansoti was a small portion; only 3 pieces per plate. The cannoli trio was excellent. I especially like the pistachio with orange cream. I had a reservation (5:45pm/17th/Dec/2021) and arrived on time, I specifically asked for a table at corner on the reservation, had hope that they would usher me to my table, but the waiter asked me to wait at the bar until my guest arrived. I waited at the bar, had a drink, then went back to the reception showing her of my reservation, my mobile phone rang twice asking to check in, I went up to ask the same waiter again, she gave me the same answer, asked me to wait for the guest before seated. I was offended! I think she should get fired!! The Filet Mignon was over-done/overcooked, my gucooest specifically requested for media-rare, she only had two bites and threw away. Just because you're located in the Seaport doesn't mean you should be jacking your prices up that high. We were sooo excited to have this open across the street. Finally made it out...we won't be going back. The experience was remarkably suburban, it's basically a souped-up Olive Garden they decided to plop in a city with world-class Italian. It's like they didn't do any adaption for moving into the city (the hip, new part of the city at that) except to throw truffles on everything. 1) Service--mixed bag. I think it's totally inappropriate for a restaurant to make you wait 15-20 minutes when you have a reservation. The waiter was nice, he was super friendly and probably the reason for the extra star on this review. 2) Ambience--underwhelming and inauthentic. Wallpaper marble columns just aren't a good look. Rather than being hip or fitting in with the neighborhood it felt very blah. 3) Food--no finesse at all. Basically everything we had was drowning in butter, cream, or truffles (or all three). Overall--it feels like they brought something into the city from the suburbs without thinking about how it needed to be adapted to the Seaport area. You can get much better food and experience at 3 different restaurants within about 3 blocks. I'm bummed. read more

I do have to say that the service is great, the bar tender we had and the waiter were are very friendly. We started with wine and the BURRATA DELLA CASA House Made Burrata, Crushed Red Pepper, Basil, Toasted Garlic, Prosciutto di Parma. It was nice with the roasted garlic slices. Prosciutto was sliced thin and wasn't quite enough to have a piece per taste of cheese. The Burrata could have been a bit creamier. I had the : BRASATO DI CINGHIALE Slow Braised Wild Boar Ragu, Truffled Gnocchi, Pecorino Tartufo : could hardly taste the truffle. The ragu was nice and tender, flavorful. 16oz BRANDT PRIME NEW YORK STRIP : was ordered rare. came out rare. tender but a bit dry. Sides: Seared Broccolini & Toasted Garlic- a bit salty Mascarpone, Parmigiano Whipped Potato: a bit mealy. Everything came out not as hot as I would have enjoyed. Nice atmosphere, I was about a foot away from another table, enough noise to not hear their complete conversation. Overall I would try it again and explore the menu a bit more. read more

I had been anxiously awaiting the opening of Tuscan kitchen, and they certainly did not disappoint. I have been here three times so far, once for lunch and twice for dinner. Every time was fantastic, though my favorite was when we sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen. For lunch I enjoyed their duck pasta, though the portion was definitely on the small side. For dinner I've had their Brasato di Cinghiale (gnocchi in a wild boar ragu), which is out of this world. I also tried their Branzino, which was decent. For dessert, Tuscan kitchen also has a great list of gelatos, with the option to order a complimenting liqueur. I've yet to turn down dessert here, and will probably never do so. I'm so glad Tuscan Kitchen has moved to the Seaport - we will definitely be regulars! read more

My review is mainly on the service because the food was great! My friends and I recently went to this restaurant for dinner for a birthday dinner. The service was awful! The waiter was very inattentive to our orders and would forget what we asked for many times- as we had to ask for the same thing several times before it got to the table (we must of asked for extra salad dressing 5x). On 6/11/22 I had just gotten back from a long vacation all I wanted to get to eat was a rib eye from Tuscan Kitchen in Burlington, which is on my way home. I ordered it medium rare and this was brought out, me not being a complainer just tried to make the best of it, but it was just impossible, the steak was so chard it felt like I had just placed charcoal in my mouth. The waitstaff is inexperienced, negligent and rude. I had to Instagram message the restaurant to share our experience with management then was referred via email. So let's cut to the chase. Went for dinner/drinks at 3pm on a Sunday because we were with another couple and both teams have kids. We try to make things easy for the restaurant and other people that might be looking for a place without the munchkins. We had a reservation for 3pm and were seated at 3:15pm. Ordered food and had first drink by 3:30pm but nothing else (pin that for later). That was literally the last time we saw our waiter till 4:10pm when I had to get up and finally say something (which to be clear.... I don't do). Football on, hanging out, glasses empty - for 40 minutes. Not even a.... hey guys! We had our next drinks by 4:30pm with no indication of dinner time other than an "I apologize." Second person from the table had to say something. Again... "I apologize." A manager? stopped by and suggested that they were busy with things "outside" which I assume is meant to suggest that there is food going to outdoor event. Respectfully.... while food was important to us, our glasses were empty for 60 minutes. There was no bread on the table until we asked for it - when our food arrived. Food was decent, lobster ravioli was lukewarm at best (won't speak for other meals). Bread was fantastic - but an hour+ late. Oh... we ordered vegetables for the kids. Never came. Weren't billed. Oh... we ordered fries for the table. Never came. Tried to bill us for that one. Oh... there were apologies and an indication that desert would be provided. Instead, without an update, they comp'ed the kids food. Great. Would have preferred better service... or more drinks... or anything. That we would have gladly paid for. Cool. Maybe I'm old. Maybe I'm picky. The place isn't cheap. The food isn't amazing. The service was abysmal. I'll give my kidney for amazing food and amazing service. I'll pay a premium for decent food and amazing service. I'll pay what's asked for decent food and decent service. This place? Couldn't figure it out. It's a shame. Good spot. Good décor. The rest? Here's a little insight of what my experience was like. *Fabulous, fabulous restaurant with pretty views of Boston. *Is a nice restaurant with a traditional feel/ décor to it; but I would feel comfortable sending a family here as well, a kids menu is also available *The restaurant had a whole case filled with all sorts of Italian desserts that could be ordered to go or be eaten there. *The restaurant makes their own pasta's, they make their own bread and even their own wine. Everything that was ordered it tasted fresh & delicious. The Shrimp Scampi was the highlight of the evening for everyone, and according to our waitress they are typically the size of a mini lobster. The mushroom ravioli was delicious, same as the lobster ravioli. Don't recommend the orange cannoli, and wait for the tiramisu to "defrost" before digging into it, for some reason it was frozen in the middle. The chocolate cake with ice cream on top was very well executed. Hope you enjoy and you get to visit soon. read more

My daughter's wedding reception was held here recently. Spectacular is not to strong a word to use to describe the Tuscan Kitchen! Fabulous also comes to mind! The setting was incredible. The staff was unbelievably accommodating. The attention to detail phenomenal. As for the food, Assolutamente delizioso! The menu selections are out of this world. We could not have been happier! Each and every detail was given the finest attention. The compliments that we received from our guests were over the top! We hosted our company's cocktail hour event at Tuscan Kitchen and had the best experience! From the amazing food, phenomenal staff, and beautiful dining space, I can't recommend it enough. Was really excited to try this new location, but unfortunately was very disappointed with the overall experience. I was meeting up with some friends for lunch on a Thursday. When I walked up the stairs at the entrance, I was met with a chaotic waiting area filled with people and no way of even getting up to the host stand. It seems that even with tables being open, the staff was struggling with directing people to their tables. (We even had a reservation). Once we finally got seated, we were greeted by our server with some delicious bread and olive oil with a splash of balsamic. I ordered the bolognese and while I understand that everything is made from scratch daily, when the dish came out it almost looked like a side portion rather than an entree. Either increase the portion size or lower the price. As it stands I would consider coming here more for drinks after work or with friends(hence the 3 stars), but not a meal. read more

Tuscan Kitchen is full on with good vibes!! They have a great support staff and are always making you feel special. For Italian Cuisine, theirs is exquisite, I would definitely recommend you to try their Frutti Di Mare pasta, its a red sauce linguine pasta with a mix of seafood. But if you are more of a meat person they have a extensive variety of meats in their menu. Overall, Tuscan Kitchen is a great place to enjoy good food and have a good time with your love ones. read more

In the back of the restaurant they had some corporate party, which is okay, but they brought a DJ and the music was too loud, aggressive, rap, techno, not the kind of music your 60 year old parents want to hear at 7pm during the meal. Our waitress really made the night out with our little kids fun. I would give her more than 5 stars if i could. She made sure my 5 year old got only the fruit he wanted for his fruit bowl. She knew exactly when to come by and assist us, when to bring out the food and when to bring out the check. Now that may sound odd, but I'm always ask I'm always asking for wait staff to come by and take my order and always had to ask for the check. Now the food! We ordered a pasta based meal. I can not pronounce what I had, but it was duck with pasta and it was awesome! I also had an Old Fashion. It wasn't a normal.old fashion...more like a girly drink. Went here for my wife's birthday. Was looking forward to trying the restaurant as we've heard good things about the location in Burlington. The positives; great service, nice ambiance, my wife thought her seafood stew was fantastic and the brussel sprout side was solid. The negatives; I ordered the bone in pork chop, came out extremely dry and overcooked. My old fashioned also was pretty meh This would have been a 2 star review, but the staff went above and beyond to rectify my meal being terrible - which was appreciated. Tuscan kitchen is awesome. We have been twice and both times have received fantastic service from the hosts and servers, and the food has been amazing. The lobster ravioli is a favorite as are any of the desserts. The head chef, Nimesh, is a true talent. A comprehensive list of everything that went wrong at Tuscan Kitchen during our lunch visit on 10/31: * We went up to the hostess stand and two guys were talking about finances of the restaurant at the stand (no hostess to be found) so we awkwardly twiddled our thumbs till someone came over to seat us * The hostess(?) did not want to seat us in the dining room (maybe my husband wearing a shark onsie had something to do with that, but it was Halloween after all) * We waited 25 minutes for the free bread, 40 minutes for our SANDWICHES. Seriously, it wasn't exactly a complex order. We wanted to get an appetizer but it took the waiter so long to get to us we had no time left during our lunch break. * My husband's eggplant sandwich had no eggplant on it. It was a big marinated mushroom. * My prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich had untrimmed (inedible) prosciutto skin on it, which I had to pick out awkwardly while eating * My husband got the world's smallest side of fries with his sandwich, where the women at the table across from us had big bowls with triple the fries for her side with her sandwich? * My side salad had some rotten lettuce in it and I am fairly confident they forgot to dress it with anything other than vinegar. It was terrible. The place has extremely comfortable seats and is a rather pretty space but otherwise should be avoided at all costs. read more
