Came here while visiting the Snowport event, was expecting the holiday menu since when creating a reservation for the indoor restaurant they said they would have it available but turned out to just be the regular menu which was fine. We got the butternut squash ravioli and bolognese for the mains - portions were actually quite large (we both had food leftover) and tasted decent. The drinks (sangria rosso and rosé) stood out to us the most, since both of them were very balanced. Overall the restaurant was worth the experience, but you can find better Italian food elsewhere in the area. read more

We had an amazing meal here. I've been dying to come here and haven't really had friends who have been so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was one of the few restaurants that we booked without reading reviews. It was a classy, fancy vibe to it - like you're at an old steak house that been there for years but with a modern twist. We got the Branzino, Truffle Tagliatelle, and a side of Brussels Sprouts. AMAZING. I wouldn't change a thing about this meal. We'll probably come back next month and get the exact same thing (maybe add an app) The pasta was so simple but so rich and truffled out. read more

Handmade pasta and bread. My niece and I had orecchiette with fennel sausage and broccolini. My husband had the veal, pork and beef bolognese with garagneli pasta. Everything was deliscious. The pasta was cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of bite. The bread was crispy outside and soft and almost chewy in a good way. We ate all of the bread!! The sauces we're very flavorful and seasoned to perfection! My only problem is that I ate so much I might fall asleep during the movie. read more

We chose the place for a 20 people corporate dinner and booked well in advance because the menu looked great. My assistant was very diligent and called in advance to make sure they were vegan friendly as advertised because I am a vegan. We had only one server assigned to the table of our 20 people in over an hour after coming (hungry after a day meeting) they did not take the food order. I asked for more waiters twice and did not get any changes for over 1.5 h when the geberal manager came to the table. The vegan options were limited to two appetizer salads. Even when they brought amuse bouchée to apologize for slow service I was left out as a vegan. My colleagues felt awful. I brought an important business associate for the company to the dinner. She was so upset with service I expect to lose business. Small things: when I asked for a glass of sparkling water I got a glass of flat. Repeated that. Same results. Third request with the geberal manager tasting water came up close to sparking. This restaurant is on a black list now in my company for any corporate events or customer entertainment. read more

We had our rehearsal dinner at Tuscan Kitchen Seaport the night before our wedding, and it was just perfect. Every single detail, the space, the decor, the lovely staff, and of course, you absolutely cannot beat how unbelievably delicious their food is! We had 65 guests in the large room upstairs and every single guest commented at how incredibly well put together the dinner was. Olivia was our event coordinator, and from day 1 through the rehearsal dinner night, she was fantastic to work with, very responsive, cared about our feelings and expectations, and executed a flawless event for us. We cannot recommend working with Olivia and Tuscan Kitchen Seaport enough - we WILL be back for dinner very soon! read more

Pretty good food, not so great service. My friend and I sat at the bar and it took awhile before anyone came over to take our orders. I sat with an empty glass for awhile too. One of the guys on Tuesday night just kept talking with two groups of customers instead of circulating and checking on other guests. I heard the manager complain about something so not great bar service. As for the servers, they were polite and warned us of hot plates and served from the right. The bread was served warm with a plate of olive oil and was crunchy on the outside and soft, warm and porous on the inside. Our shared order of the roasted mushroom raviolis was delicious, as my friend previewed based on his prior experience. He did warn me they were pricey. I believe it was $34 for 5 raviolis. The dish is incredibly rich and comforting and had a good blend of mushrooms in and out of the ravioli. I opted for the branzino which also came with a lump crab risotto and tomato basil vinaigrette. I really liked the risotto and thought there were good chunks of crab meat. The branzino had a small bone in it and I wish it was served without the skin, but otherwise delicious. I was worried about the vinaigrette but it wasn't overpowering and the whole dish was delicious. My friend seemed to enjoy his salmon which came with roasted sweet potato and grilled asparagus. I will say the sweet potato was roasted to perfection and cubed to a good size. The salmon was a little thick for me, but delicious too. read more

On a beautiful Friday night in Boston, I met up with some friends at the Tuscan Kitchen at their newer Seaport location. The night started off a little rocky with a mix up with our 7PM reservation. After several awkward minutes of two hostesses checking and rechecking their system for our table of 4, they needed to manually add our information into the system before being brought to our table in a 1/3 filled restaurant. What was more disheartening was the phone call 30 mins later in the middle of our dinner from the hostess asking if we would be coming to the restaurant for our 7PM reservation. Apparently our reservation and contact information was in their system; but, they didn't know how to properly access it until it notified them that we had not checked in. Oh well...onto the meal. After starting with some wine as we caught up socially and reviewed the menus. I was caught off guard that the on-line menu for the Seaport location had Tonno (lemon pepper crusted tuna) listed that I was personally looking forward to ordering; but, the in restaurant menu didn't. I even checked today (3 days later) as I write this review and see that the on-line version still doesn't match. Instead I ordered the Salamone all Griglia (salmon) as did another in our party while the Halibut (another option not listed on line) and sea bass special were also ordered. Our waiter was helpful in recommending wine by the glass to accompany the entrees ordered which was very nice. He also noted a food allergy (shellfish) which was much appreciated. The food was served fresh and came out warm which is sometimes challenging with fish entrees; but Tuscan Kitchen did a fine job. The sides were also warm although it was noted that the asparagus had the largest diameter than typical which made them a little tougher. The caprese salad was enjoyed by the table with large portions of fresh mozzarella and tomato. We passed on dessert; but opted for coffees to wrap up our conversations before parting ways. Overall the food was good with portions that were just right; just not spectacular in presentation or taste. Similarly service was good; but not amazing. Usually in restaurants of this type with such steep competition within the Seaport district, service is expected to be stellar to support entree prices exceeding $30. You don't expect the food being brought to the table with the ask of "who had the salmon?" As if we were at Applebees. Did I mention the restaurant was 1/3 full? It should be easy for the staff to denote by table and chair number who ordered what. In my opinion, those are the little things that matter and make you stand out amount the stiff restaurant competition particularly when you food is average at best. Tuscan Kitchen has been around in other locations for years and this location has been open for more than 6 months. Therefore there is no excuse for the faulty handling of a reservation or the servers being less prepared than comparable destinations in the Seaport. The food and quality is good enough to be successful; and more training and attention to detail should get this place back on track to be a recommended future destination. read more

While on a work trip in my favorite city, my friend and her son and mother met my son and I at Tuscan kitchen in Seaport. I love the area, I love Seaport, and I was excited to try a new place. I found this while searching "best restaurants in Seaport" and was able to easily make a reservation online through Opentable. Having looked at the menu ahead of time, you could literally eat anything on there. Everything looks delicious. Italian style and you can choose from seafood, pasta, pizza, salads, soup, literally anything you were in the mood for. I was so torn in between two dishes that my girlfriend and I decided to split both of them. That was the short rib and the lobster bolognese. If I was leaning towards one or the other it would've been the lobster, but to my surprise the short rib ended up being much more delicious. Even the sides were mouthwatering. We got a salad to share that was a very generous portion as an appetizer. The bread was delicious with olive oil and definitely filling. I know my son ate an entire piece to himself. I ordered my son a lemon chicken pasta off the kids menu. It was delicious, of course mama had to try a few bites. It was definitely larger than a kids portion so I believe we took some home. I tried a few of their french fries off of my friend's son's plate which was delicious as well. I tried the filet which is what my friend's mom had and that was yummy. Good size filet, not a lot for sides though. I would recommend ordering a side. We didn't end up doing dessert because the kids were getting cranky, but I'm sure that would be lovely as well. My girlfriend picked up the tab and reminded me that she tipped well because we made quite a mess between our two kids. The service was good. We also got a glass of wine to accompany our meals which was delicious. The environment is fun as the windows overlook the city. It's almost easy to miss because the entrance looks like a store. You have to walk up the stairs to actually see the beautiful restaurant. Someone, dressed nicely and authoritative welcomed us as we walked in and actually walked us to our table. The entire experience was great and next time I am in the city I'm definitely bringing my husband with our son. read more

I visited here earlier this year with a co-worker, as we were both traveling for work and decided to meet for dinner. This spot was her suggestion. From start to finish, this was a great experience. We started off with some delicious warm and crusty bread and a glass of wine. I went with the lobster ravioli for my main and it was amazing- I am not even that big of a seafood fan, but I just loved it. The lobster was so fresh and delicious and the cream sauce it came with was divine. The service we received was extraordinary. I would just love to come back when I am back in Boston! read more

My sister and I went on Saturday, August 11 and we were psyched. I had never been to a Tuscan Kitchen, but my sister had been to the one in Burlington and loved it. We started off with some of the biggest mozzarella sticks we had ever seen and they were flavorful and delicious. It was everything that you'd expect and then some. For entree's, we both had these short rib stuffed ravioli although I had with it a side of a meatball and sausage. They came in this dark brown gravy and was cooked perfectly. If we had an issue with the restaurant, it's this. I was curious as to why they didn't put a menu on their website that I saw on my phone. I wish they had because if you go in looking for traditional red sauced dishes like veal or chicken parmigiana like you do in a regular North End restaurant, then you went to the wrong place. They don't have it, which is weird because my sister said she had it in the Burlington restaurant. Now, does each restaurant have their own menu or is this a seasonal thing that you can only get it in the winter, I have no idea. Again, this isn't to reflect poorly about our experience or what we were served. We just wished we had either seen the menu on a website or even at the door had we known it wasn't going to be traditional North End Italian. read more

Came here for my 25th anniversary with my wife and the place was completely above my expectations. The ambiance was amazing the food was fantastic i had the halibut and it was a beautiful piece of fish and my wife had the filet which was cooked to perfection. I had a terrific experience at Tuscan Kitchen Seaport! I booked the private Toscana room with fireplace and view for a baby shower with 25 guests. Olivia Sacco was the contact person that helped me plan the event. Her communications were clear, incredibly gracious, prompt, and helpful. We had two experienced servers, Diego and Evelyn, assigned to the event. They set up the room beautifully for a great flow between the bar, the buffet, and the tables. These two professionals were efficient and very accommodating. Evelyn gave me suggestions for the few decorations I brought in. When the guest of honor starting opening presents, Diego was right there with a trash bag for the discarded wrapping paper. Not their first rodeo! If you book an event at Tuscan I highly recommend these folks. So many of the guests complimented the delicious food. Four cheese ravioli, Salmon, Garlic/lemon chicken (GF)....all were big hits. I brought in my own dessert (Cupcakes baked by Melissa). To top it off, my guests were thrilled to see to-go containers on the buffet table. Several of them brought home the makings of dinner for later! Next time I'm planning an event I hope to use this space and that team again. read more

Really disappointed by the whole experience. We booked this because of the reviews and based on the menu. It was a special occasion for my husband and I and we couldn't wait to get out of there!! Some for he food items were very salty like the octopus and Delmonico steak. The server was nice but then never offered us a second round of drinks or wine. We sent back the sides because they were not cooked right. The broccolini was hard and the truffle fries over cooked and over saturated. The server apologized but I feel like more could've been done especially for price you're paying you expect too not h service and food. You really need to work on your follow up with guests. Boston has so many amazing restaurants so I definitely will not be back. read more

I was drawn to this place by the tremendous and impressive effort they put in creating al fresco dining in response to Covid. When I called to make rsvp, I was told the patio was first come first serve but the hostess would be able to seat us inside. Sadly the weather was unusually cold that day but luckily I took the indoor rsvp. The parking in the area can be tough but they have a garage located in the same building, was 30$ to park. The restaurant itself spacious and they took the appropriate measures for social distancing, service was attentive and food arrived in timely manner. All in all, it was a great dinner for our party of 6 and I do plan on coming back to take advantage of their outdoor dining. read more

Keeping COVID in mind my experience was subpar. We had an 8:30 reservation and weren't seated until 8:55 which would be fine. But I overheard a woman with a 9:15 reservation seated before me. My drink barely had any liquor in it but when I mentioned this the waiter did bring it back to the bar and brought me another. My crab cake was still very cold in the middle. At this point I no longer wanted to complain to the waiter I just wanted to walk out. Our entrees were good and saved the night. read more

Wonderful meal at Tuscan Kitchen's new outdoor Seaport location last night. Happy to see that Mario is back; he takes great care of us, with help from the other servers (highly recommend asking for him when you book). Mario brings great energy to every event; regardless of the occasion, you will leave smiling. After bouncing around a few different Italian restaurants in the North End, TK is the go-to spot for real Italian food, made from-scratch (pasta, mozzarella, sausage, bread all made in-house), with the proper ingredients. Just about everything on their menu is produced by Tuscan Market; they even have a house Super Tuscan is from their private vineyard in Tuscany. We continue to explore new Italian restaurants in Boston, but always end up back at Tuscan Kitchen for special occasions. read more

I've thought long and hard about what rating I wanted to give Tuscan Kitchen because I have never been as excited to try a restaurant as I was with this one. Newly opened, I gave it a little bit of time to work out kinks but I was soooo curious about the homemade pasta (tagliatelle with truffle) and that it was tableside... well the truffle part is table side as in a chef comes out and grates truffle over your dish. You don't actually get to to see your pasta in the big cheese wheel like I anticipated but that's okay, I'll go back to a different restaurant in Connecticut for that. I will try hard not to tear this place apart cause I thought it was a cool restaurant but just not worthy of the price paid. You know it's going to be pricey if you don't see the menu posted with price. I've also been waiting for someone to post the menu but whatever, I've done it so you are very welcome! So let's start off by saying this was an impromptu date night to celebrate our anniversary after the auto show at the BCEC. I've noted it in the Opentable reservation and no one, not even the host acknowledged that. I actually had to wait for her to finish her convo about football with another guest...So we sat down and our server came after maybe 10 minutes. Normally I'm a cocktail kinda girl, but I was like maybe we can try a wine since it's a date night. The wine list is HUGE!!!! But don't bother asking your server for recommendation unless you want to spend at least a $100. I ask him was there any type of full bodied/lots of tannins wine around the $50 or so range and in a big circle, he basically said no I can't recommend anything (aka I'd have to double it or triple it I guess). I looked at him and said okay........ Then he's like we do have the house wine it's just sold here, it's $64 so you can taste that one if you like. Very uncomfortable and way to not find a way. Every server has found a way to accommodate me with a suggestion so I was flabbergasted this one couldn't. So we tried that wine and whatever...I'll just order a bottle because he made me feel so bad already. I know, I know, I shouldn't even care what he thought but I felt like I had to as there were no other choices as he's not giving any. I've been to countless restaurants and if you want to be pretentious then you won't have repeat customers. Every other restaurant I've been treated soooo well so maybe they judge you if you aren't full-blown dressed up but not like anyone was. Anyways, we started off with bread and that bread with the oil/vinaigrette was delicious! He recommended the BURRATA DELLA CASA to start off which had cheese and prosciutto and that was pretty good. I asked what was in the scampi and he said it's just 2 pieces of shrimp... I was waiting for him to say it also came with a little pasta...but nope. I ordered the housemade tagliatelle $45 MP which legit was pasta, cheese, truffles. It was very well cooked but I'm not really dreaming about it so it's good to try once. The bf got the 28oz "LONG BONE" DRY AGED TOMAHAWK RIB EYE $58 which tasted fine, good for a ribeye. I loved how the bone is so big! What a great presentation! The side of sweet potato we ordered was to die for! I hate sweet potato so that's saying something!!!!! We did not opt for dessert or coffee as we were full. The atmosphere felt like a Italian version of cheesecake factory with parties everywhere with a bit of olive garden. Would I come back? It really depends... I am interested in trying the duck dish and it is by work.... decisions decisions....but for two people who was not splurging, our bill was still over $200 before tip... The prices are definitely marked up because of it's location in the seaport, if you went to the Burlington one, it'd be much cheaper as it's further away and there would be parking ;) read more

My team and I had a corporate dinner reception at Tuscan Kitchen in the semi-private bar area. The backdrop was lovely -- people were photographing the window view before they even put their coats on hangers. The event and bar staff were very relaxed and friendly with us and our host for the evening was even able to put together a wine tasting for us. We really enjoyed the options for dining selections and we were able to fit almost all dietary styles (vegan was the one tricky one but we did get some options!). As the event attendance changed throughout the evening, the staff were able to accommodate food changeovers and avoid waste and overcrowding servings areas which I personally was very grateful for. I would definitely recommend having an event here. read more

Excellent spot for dinner! My friends took me here to celebrate my birthday and it was a great evening. The manager sat us at a table in the bar section with the best view of downtown seaport. We had a large table that was decorated with white linens and rose peddles. Service was top notch. We got everything as ordered with a surprise dessert board at the end! Had the meatball starter which came out literally cold. Drinks were insanely watered down we had to send them back. Mains took an hour to come out and we're extremely underwhelming. My favorite restaurant is finally local! Their in-house truffle pasta is absolutely amazing!! And their espresso/dessert/gelato bar is going to be my weekly spot after work!! We had the calamari, octopus, burrata and the cheese plate, to start, and they were delicious. We also ordered a filet and the tomahawk steak, both topped off with truffle butter, and they were cooked to perfection. For sides we had the sweet potato, mushrooms and broccoli rabe, which were large enough for all 4 of us to share. We finished off the meal with the espresso cake, warm chocolate torte, tiramisu, and seal salt caramel gelato. There isn't a single thing I would change on any of these dishes! This letter is to recognize the great representative you have with Olivia Sacco, event director and her teammate service specialist Vanessa. Clearly the communication between these two great employees is exemplary and we were the benefactors. We held a combined 70th and 30th birthdays celebration on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Tuscan Kitchen in Boston. And that fortuitously is how we made contact with Olivia Sacco. Olivia beat out other options with her professionalism. First my brother Chris made contact, then a couple of conference calls with Olivia, Chris and me. Olivia spent time emailing or speaking to us about logistics, menu etc. Olivia's knowledge, responsiveness and phone etiquette is outstanding. I do some telemarketing and you can hear a person's personality in their voice. You have a great one with Olivia. Then the ultimate service example was a conference call today with Olivia, my almost 97 year old mother and me. Olivia went through the menu, answered my mom's questions and gave my mom great reassurance. Then at the event on Saturday, November 12, 2022 we were greeted by Vanessa whose welcoming was confident and warming. For the next three hours, Vanessa was more than a service professional she became a co-host. She shared her years of handling group events with excellent suggestions and helped with group pictures. Vanessa helped make our day as special as if was her own. Thank you Vanessa and you will be requested at our next event.
