The mother unit and I stopped by this joint in the afternoon on a Tuesday. I had a hot chocolate which was tasty enough and my mom had a white chocolate mocha which she was slightly disappointed with as she couldn't taste any of the white chocolate, just coffee. Menu is pretty much the same as what Tullys had, including the soft serve. Tullys took the LCD TV that was over the creamer bar when they packed up shop. The two employees were nice and friendly. We realized we were getting close to their closing time and offered to leave but they told us to relax which was kind. Until the female employee started sweeping the floor right next to us, putting dust in the air around us. Hopefully time will improve their coffee and ambiance. read more

I've come here a number of times on walks with my dog and baby. Everyone working there, especially the owner, is so nice and welcoming! They always have treats for my dog and the banana bread is amazing! I'm glad to have this place in the neighborhood! read more

They dish up a fine cuppa Jo. Friendly staff, seem downright happy to see their customers. Don't feel like I'm in a coffee mill, so common in this town. Puzzled by the name, but that's OK. We can all use a little mystery in life. Maybe the coffee beans all have holes in them. The female manager seemed rude and unprofessionally emotional, and didn't serve me with a lot of kindness. The owner seems great, but it seems like most of the baristas make crappy drinks and gossip in front of customers. I've been a few times, and disliked every experience. We went in as a group of 7. The building is nice and clean. The barista wasn't welcoming and she took her time making each coffee. We all ordered different types of drinks and not one of us finished what we ordered. My son didn't even like his hot chocolate. Each drink just tasted like steamed milk with a shot of espresso. Haven't tried their coffee, but their prices are pretty high. $6 for a burrito that they just heated up in the microwave. I can get a bigger tastier burrito that they actually make down the street at Safeway for $2.49. read more

Holy Grounds has a really good feel to it. It seems like they care about the world around them but aren't going to try to kill you if you don't drive a smart car. It's nice because a lot of the shops that are good on the north side are like that or are the other extreme of McDonalds and Starbucks. Give it a try for. Good stuff. read more

I went here while waiting to have some work done on my car. It's spacious and clean, the music was great, the barristas were friendly and didn't mind that I was there for like 2 hours and only got one drink. They serve Cafe Vita coffee, which is delicious and have a variety of specialty beverages in addition to the standards. They have breakfast sandwiches, bagels, muffins, pastries, but I can't remember if there was lunch fare as well. It seemed to get a lot of business but wasn't too crowded. Lots of plugs and internet. Only downside is that it's in a strip mall, but then I guess that means there's parking. read more

I really like this place. I wish I could give 4.5 stars because they deserve it. It's an incredible neighborhood place to come, get a latte and a pastry, and set up your computer to their speedy wifi. The coffee is wonderful (Caffe Vita)and the food is quite good. The cozy chairs by the fireplace are pretty freakin' awesome. There are a couple of booths and tables. Here's the thing - if you are expecting chatty Cathy baristas, go to Starbucks. This place is kind of like heading into your sister's kitchen: it's really comfortable but don't expect a lot of over-the-top friendliness. I'm an introvert so that suits me just fine. I was two hours early for my doc appt. (don't live in this hood) Came up the road to spend some time here. Mad at myself for forget my iphone, but hey, they have a computer in the corner with internet and so now I am enjoying my americano and writing this review on it. The only reason worth coming into Holy Grounds was the extra friendly, weekday evening barista, Ashley. She always had a big smile on her face, was kind to even the creepiest or rude customers, and was ridiculously apologetic when it was busy and she was therefore behind on something. Unfortunately, she disappeared a few months ago and there now seems to be a variety of less than friendly baristas who literally answer personal calls and sit on their laptops which, quite frankly, is unprofessional and especially obnoxious when your service was slow and your table is covered in crumbs. Upon my last visit, the owners children were there running all over the place, climbing on the counters, and screaming while she chatted with the other barista like it was nothing. The coffee is usually pretty good, it's not super consistent in temperature or quality of espresso (based upon who's making it) but much better than anything at Starbucks with very comparable prices. But, if I'm being honest, this is Seattle--it's not exactly difficult to find a good cup of coffee here. The pastries are pretty bland, nothing special by any means. They did a small upgrade on seating a little over a year ago so that's a lot better. The fireplace is a nice touch. Overall, don't come here if you're expecting good customer service, which for me is non-negotiable. read more

I was a regular Starbucks customer, until I was instructed to stay off dairy and soy. I discovered that Holy Grounds serves both rice milk and almond milk. I've been there every morning since! The staff is wonderful. They always call me by name, know what I most likely will order, and it's always yummy. They also have great pastry and biscotti, made fresh there. read more

This coffee shop is located in a strip mall, but once you're inside, you'll notice that they've made quite cozy and intimate. The baristas were super friendly and the service was great. I too had been hesitant to try this coffee house because of the name, fearing it was a religious establishment. It is not, and I was very impressed. The baristas are friendly and gracious. They offer alternative milk options-almond, rice, and soy, yippee! I love their panini grilled sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches. They have yummy homemade baked goods, including doughnuts. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing with excellent background music, and a fireplace! I love it here, and parking is plentiful. read more

Huge fan of Holy Grounds!! Holy Grounds is a terrific neighborhood coffee shop. It is relaxing, spacious, and quiet as well as very good drinks and food - everything I look for in a coffee shop. The staff are very pleasant coupled with quick service which allows you to be in and out within minutes. Holy Grounds is also dog friendly which is a plus when I want to bring my best friend along. I noticed the other day that my local Tullys had been converted into what is now Holy Grounds Coffee House. I decided to stop by this morning and try it out. I walked in and was greeted immediately by this very nice girl behind the counter. After ordering a mocha I sat down in front of the fireplace to relax for a little bit while waiting for my drink to be called out. In about 30 seconds she walked out from behind the counter and handed me a mug and saucer which held an amazing looking mocha. She had made a really cool design on the top of it and it tasted just as good if not better! The service, coffee and atmosphere were absolutely wonderful and I would definitely recommend this place to my friends! read more

This coffee shop is cozy and friendly and has a nice atmosphere. I like the red velvet covered boths for they are very soft and comfortable to sit at. The coffee is really good and they know how to make good foam. They make thier own pasteries so there are alot of nummy options that change from day to day.
