Strawberry Banana Smoothie and Chai Latte
    Diana C.

Stopped for a smoothie and an iced oat chai. My partner enjoyed the smoothie a lot. My chai was good but I had to stir it a bunch before putting a cover on because most of the chai mix was on the bottom. The server was polite and efficient. I like that there's a dog friendly vibe with the water bowl outside. It was a little deserted when I was in but seems like a cozy neighborhood spot with lots of seating.

I've had this place in my bookmarks because it is in my neighborhood and I finally got the chance to stop by. The owner is so sweet and friendly! She walked me through all of her specials and hyped up her new menu. It seems like a small family business as multiple family members were working. I got the vanilla sweet cream cold brew, which was great! I also got the croissant breakfast sandwich, which was good as well - next time I'll try it with a bagel. The coffee was $6.50-7 and the breakfast sandwich was $7. They had plenty of seating and would be a good place to do some work. The parking is free and convenient. Will be back!

Special menu and soooo good! I got the lavender oat matcha latte. Yum

Great service great coffee. A bit pricey but it's seattle price. Parking is in front of the coffee shop in this plaza. Off of a busy street, great location. Cute ambiance for friends outing or solo if you want to work on laptop for a bit. I ordered lavender oat matcha latte. It was exactly what I had in mind to perfection. 2 pumps of syrup in 16oz. I will be back.

Cute coffee shop! Tucked away in a little shopping center and has plenty of seating and space. The lobby has a booth, a couple large tables, and a fire place. I got an iced tea and it was yummy! It didn't have that weird over steeped flavor that's common with iced teas.

    Turtle latte and banana bread

Came here after seeing it on tiktok and it was amazing! Quick service and the largest slice of banana bread ive ever been served. The latte was delicious and everything was relatively affordable coming from a college student. Owner was super nice as well

Under new ownership as of three months ago. Nice to see that some places are still fighting against the corporate giants. It's always good to help the little guys. Turtle Coffee has a great Frappe with all the trimmings for $6. Highly recommended. Nice and cozy in the Holman Road Plaza, near 97th Street.

Was a Tully's and a few indie iterations, currently Turtle Coffee's interior main counter (9/9/18)

It smells so wonderful and warm when you enter and it's really a feast for your eyes. Everything looks so delicious and it's hard to choose. The staff was ver patient with me. My "go to" is the most famous twice baked almond croissant. On this visit ordered the "go to" , blueberry ginger scone, ratatouille sandwich, turkey havarti sandwich, banana bread, and some Americanos to go. This is not a sit down cafe so we thoroughly enjoyed them in the parked car. :) Every bite should be savored. Extraordinary!

The croissant was on the crispier side, especially with the almond crumble on top it was a bit too cripsy for me, but I tend to like soft and flakey pastries so it's probably a matter of taste. There was a TON of almond filling in the middle. I enjoyed the taste and texture but it was too much filling for me personally. I would have liked more croissant in my croissant, so to say haha. The chocolate was slightly dark which worked well with the sweet pastry and filling! Overall I enjoyed the croissant but it was a tad too heavy on the filling and cripsy/crunchy for me.

They have so many yummy options, but I settled on a mushroom and Gruyère pastry and an earl grey blueberry cruffin. The mushroom and Gruyère pastry was SO good!!! Buttery flaky layers of dough with a strong earthy mushroom flavor and savory cheese - an absolute umami bomb. We ate it the day after and threw it in the air fryer for a couple of minutes, and it was so delicious. The cruffin was huge! Topped with a delicious light Earl grey cream that wasn't too sweet. It was filled with a blueberry cream and was definitely very filling. There's a lot of sugar coating it, as is standard with cruffins, but it's a nice sweet treat. Definitely coming back for the mushroom and Gruyère pastry and to try their other delicious flavors. Their supreme croissant flavor switches often and we can't wait to try the next one! I originally planned to just grab a coffee and a croissant, but after noticing how popular the mushroom Gruyere croissant seemed, I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. It was incredibly delicious, perfectly filling, and even better when warmed up. The staff member kindly offered to heat it for me, which really elevated the whole experience. While they serve Umbria coffee, which isn't my personal favorite, the food more than made up for it. The service was warm and friendly, and the overall vibe was welcoming. I'll definitely be back to try the mushroom croissant again or maybe explore some of their other pastries next time.

It didn't really have the crispy outside that you really look for in focaccia, as it felt more soft than crunchy. The inside was solid enough though, easily tearable and relatively soft and fluffy. Didn't taste much of the fruit and brie here. Second, the cheddar lye roll wasn't very good. There's something about it that just doesn't work - I think it's the way the cheddar is baked too much into the roll. I like cheddar, but it just tasted weird in this instance. The lye roll also felt too hard. What I liked the best, though, was the savory croissant. Looking at this, you wouldn't be able to tell that its a croissant at all. It's square shaped, and contains filling in the middle like a boat. This had ricotta, snap peas, and chili in the middle. The pastry layers here were very good - being quite flaky and crunchy. The inside also had a good balance of very mild spice and slightly cheesy and sweet flavors. In total, what I had came out to around 15 bucks, which is fine because you do end up with a lot - although no great deals are found here either. Overall, there's some pretty good baked goods, but nothing to write home about. 7.25/10
