My new fav go to Brunch place!! The Service was great and our waitress, Gianna, was the sweetest!! The inside was also very pretty & organized. We started of with regular tap water and it was actually so good! The food and the portions were absolutely amazing. We had the Bruschetta Benedict, Avocado Toast, and the French toast dippers to share. We then washed it down with two amazing drinks!! We loved our experience & the prices - we will be back so soon!!! read more

We went on a Sunday for brunch. The wait was about thirty minutes as estimated by the hostess. We ordered the Nashville Hot Honey Chicken Burrito, Big Easy Benedict, turkey chili and breakfast combo with a side of Mac and cheese. The hot honey chicken burrito was fair. The chicken was crispy and came out hot and not too spicy. My big easy benedict had two pieces of chorizo sausage and was mostly grilled onions. The poached egg had some egg shells in it which happens sometimes. The turkey chili was a good deal for the price but it was only okay for us. The side of Mac and Cheese came in a cup less than the size of your average teacup but the upside was that it was better than your average Mac and Cheese. The home fries were half cooked which was disappointing. Besides the chili, none of the dishes were generously portioned. The ambiance was nice, well decorated and clean. They seem to be employing a lot of the young locals which is admirable. Unfortunately there aren't many better options for brunch nearby so we may give them another try. read more

They have French press coffee! Kona and dark blends-so delicious. Menu has healthy options as well as those seeking to satisfy the fatty in you! The avocado toast looked delicious though I did not order it but saw it delivered to others. It's very busy this morning, but my skillet was presented with a Luke warm temperature. I was hoping my eggs would be hot. They were cold. The cheese on my potatoes was already coagulated, so also not hot. I will chalk this up to the new opening and crowded restaurant. read more

A great addition to the brunch options in Paramus. Perfect portions with no excess; very filling. Even though it was their first day open to the public, the wait for food wasn't long and the servers were very kind and helpful. The breakfast combo is definitely a go to that comes with 2 eggs your way, breakfast meat, pancakes or waffle, and your choice between citrus greens salad or potatoes. You can also request to change the regular pancakes to "power grain" (I suppose it's a healthier or protein packed version) at no additional charge and upgrade to any specialty pancake for $2. I personally recommend the cinnamon roll pancakes. I was afraid it would be too decadent but it was just the right amount of sweet. Pancakes had a great consistency in its texture with a nice crunchy exterior. I also appreciated that the uncommon breakfast meats (chicken sausage, beyond breakfast sausage) were not an additional charge to the combo. Ambiance reminded me of little shore side eateries. They also added a 20% discount since it was their first day, a nice touch! I will be coming back again soon. read more

My friend took a client and then she invited me. We went two days cause we went shopping then we had to return again to Paramus so we went twice. The food was good had the breakfast combo with the Belgium waffles my friend had something healthy. She loves it. The service good the place is open for breakfast brunch and lunch. No dinner definitely recommend it because I enjoyed it twice. People know about this place, but for me it was like a hidden treasure. Definitely will be returning. read more

Love this restaurant. The regular coffee is so very delicious. Gary the manager is such a nice man and his hostesses and wait staff do a great job. Weekends are tough there and I feel for the hostess and staff one lady went off on poor hostess, let's not forget we're talking breakfast eggs and pancakes not some business venture people need to be a little kinder and a lot more patient. Love the interior colors it's warm, inviting and friendly. We like going during the week. Always treated so well. read more

Turning Point - Good and presentation amazing. Staff was wonderful! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Paramus, New Jersey

I've been a longtime customer of TP over 10 yrs in various locations and have always enjoyed the friendly service and great atmosphere but what has consistently always shone through has been the delicious and fresh food. No matter what I've ordered the portions have been plentiful and clearly prepared to the utmost quality with delicious results. The pricing is fair and I'm happy this location meets the standards that I've always seen met. The only thing I'd wish at this location is more heat, haha. But would 1000% recommend to all and this has become a weekly favorite. read more

The service was so nice and quick! Alli helped us choose what to eat when we were conflicted and was so sweet! Made it a great experience and she went above and beyond to be helpful. The food was amazing. Me and my friend both got the avocado toast and we had the cinnamon rolls appetizer but we had it as a little dessert. Everything was delicious and I'm excited to try more things from the menu. The tomatoes and avocado were so fresh and the bread was amazing! The restaurant was very clean and they had fun music playing! So glad this location opened near me, 10/10 recommend! read more

Food and ambiance are wonderful...service is subpar. We were a party of 6 that arrived at 9:30 am. There was a constant wait - for someone to take our order, receive the food, and pay our check. We actually decided to forgo paying the server directly because the wait was so long. We ended up paying online and left without anyone, I mean, not one person said "Thank you" or "Have a nice day!" Nothing. We left at 12 pm...smh. read more

So many people recommended this place so I decided to give it a try. I have to say it was just OK. I love the ambience and decor of the restaurant but the burrito I had in particular was definitely not a win. I would be willing to go back and try something else, however. It lacked flavor or seasoning, plus came out lukewarm. read more

I ordered the vegan pancakes, which were delicious as well as the cannoli cold brew (also really tasty)! I love that it came with a cannoli on the side. The food came out warm and in a timely manner. The restaurant is not super casual, but not super fancy either. The service was very quick as well! read more

Our visit to the Turning Point was nothing short of a disaster -- and trust me, it'll be our last. We had called ahead, yet still found ourselves waiting a frustrating 25 minutes for a table. That might have been forgivable, but what followed made it painfully clear that this place has no grasp of proper service. Once seated, we spent another agonizing 20 minutes waiting for coffee -- yes, coffee. As we sat there, we couldn't help but notice the disgusting spit stains and fingerprints smeared across our glasses. Our waiter seemed oblivious to our frustration, instead aggressively pushing us to order their so-called "popular" cinnamon rolls. With nothing else to do but wait, we gave in. The ad on the table promised big, fluffy pastries -- the kind that looked warm, soft, and inviting. Before the rolls even arrived, they brought us plates -- plates that looked like they'd been dragged through a kitchen floor. Yellowish grime and streaks of white residue coated each one. We were forced to abandon them entirely, resorting to balancing our food on our napkins like we were eating at a roadside picnic. And then -- finally -- the cinnamon rolls arrived. If we hadn't already endured so much, I might have laughed. What they brought out looked like cheap wooden toys someone had microwaved as a joke. Dry, shrunken, and barely half the size of what the picture had promised. It was an absolute insult -- a pathetic end to an already miserable experience. Needless to say, we won't be coming back. They also had very little flavor, and the frosting had tasted like melted fabric. When our main courses arrived, no one enjoyed their meals. The potatoes appeared to be from a bag and were cold and not cooked evenly, also they lacked good flavoring, also very hard and bitter. The pancakes were way too sweet and raw, and another person in my party received raw pancakes, we both noticed hints of un-mixed egg yolks and a few hairs. Also, the coffee had a watery taste and was not appetizing, and hadn't looked clean. Regarding the cleanliness of the restaurant, the plates, glasses, and utensils had hairs, fingerprints, and spit on them. It was extremely extremely hot in the restaurant, and crowded. I was confused why there were so many people within the place since the food was so terrible and looked as if everything had been microwaved. read more

I come here pretty often, and it's great every single time. Food is always delicious, and comes out so fast. The service is amazing every time, no matter who is working. The food is very average. I was referred to here and expected it to be much better. The service is extremely slow. We were there while there weren't many people there and the service was still very slow. This is def not a place where you go to have a quick meal and leave. It will take much longer than most places. The place is very casual. It is a diner type place with a small menu option. read more

The food was delicious. Service, not so great. There was a wait to sit at a table, so we chose to sit at the bar. The lady working wasn't the friendliest. Did not check on us once after someone else delivered our food. I understand she was busy also making the coffees and other drinks for the restaurant but to hand the bill and not say a word or to ask do you want another drink? Is everything okay? Isn't too much to ask, imo. She made it a very awkward experience. Had to ask another worker to get us a soda. I'd rather drive extra and go to the turning point in Hoboken where we had nothing but great experiences. read more

I was so excited when I saw they opened a Turning Point in Paramus! I love their Hoboken location so I was so happy to see that they had another closer to home. My friends and I each ordered a french press, which had a lot more coffee than we remembered- we probably could have gotten away with one for the three of us as opposed to one each. Food was okay (nothing remarkable), service was ok but slow. They don't take reservations but allow you to "call ahead" with a larger party (we had 12). I'm not sure I understand the difference, but ok. It took us more than 45 minutes to be seated after the time we called ahead for, which I guess is fine because it isn't technically a reservation? Then once we were seated it took a while to get service and took some time before our food was ready. We were there for 2 hours for breakfast, which seems excessive. Food was typical diner food quality wise but had a larger variety of options, everyone in our party seemed satisfied with their order. Having grown up in the area it is about what I expected. I wouldn't avoid going here again but I also wouldn't seek it out. read more

First time. Father's Day. Busy. Place your name on the waitlist once you park. Walk in and tell them you're there, that's when you'll actually be on the waitlist and your wait time begins. Hostesses were busy. It was full. We waited well into if not over an hour. My 5 month old kept me busy enough to pass the time, otherwise I would've probably left. Finally seated. Menu offers a lot of great options and is allergy friendly (but not totally safe for celiacs due to possible cross contamination) aka there's GF bread probably cut on the same board with the same knife. Omelettes are good! My husband and I split the lobster Benny (subbed mine for GF bread) and the salmon omelette. Both were good, although could've maybe used a bit more seasoning. Coffee is good. Get the unlimited pot, it's worth it. French press sounded cool. Beet juice is amazing! Service was fantastic! Great food but really bad take out service. They consistently get our orders incorrect, like entirely wrong items given vs small mistake! So waited about 10 mins just to give my name at 1045 on a Thursday 3/28. The gentleman after me was getting so ornery he tried to jump infront of everyone and give his name first. Then he gives me an attitude for speaking up despite being here for a full 5 mins before him. After we wait another 10 mins to be seated they seat me and him at the same time. Then we waited 16 mins just to be greeted and to place our order. The manger did drop off a free fruit salad and I added a star. But the pineapple and strawberries were rotten. Someone spent a lot of money on this place to look so nice and the service is awful. No idea how a franchise with so many jersey locations would have such a poorly ran resturant in a high volume town like Paramus. Food is solid but the service is a nightmare and it's not good enough to make up for it. I won't be back and I will tell anyone that will listen to stay far away. read more
