This family owned restaurant has a wonderful ambiance. You can feel the family atmosphere in the middle of the Piazza Navona. The servers clearly shared the family pride of delivering food and drink that is impeccable. Our server Vito did an excellent job of fulfilling our every request. My wife had a pizza that was absolutely delicous, and I had the linguine with porcini mushrooms and shrimp, and it was devine. Best bruschetta we had the entire trip. Tiramisu was delicious as well. Their house chianti is also very smooth and delicous, it is not offered in carafes, they carry it in bottles and half bottles. We dined outside right on the plaza, and it was a beautiful day, and then a pop up shower moved in, and the son of the owners Piedro, was ahead of it, making sure the awnings were tied down before the rain came. It cleared as fast as it came and it was back to a gorgeous afternoon. After our meal I was so impressed I talked with Laura who owns the restaurant with her husband, and Piedro, the aformentioned son who visits the market every morning with his father to select the best ingredients for the days meals and specials. Came here after getting into town exhausted after a long trip. Was right next to the hotel. Waiter scammed us into buying way more than we ever wanted. Would push good and then quickly grab the menu so we couldn't see the price. Pushed 200 euro bottles of wine and brought things we didn't order and charged us. Tried to use the language barrier to trick us into buying more. We wound up getting charged 190 euro for basically nothing. Avoid at all costs if you're a tourist. Really feel robbed. read more

We will forever have fond memories of Tucci! This restaurant came highly recommended from our friend who traveled to Rome before. We usually don't expect much from restaurants in main tourist areas but Tucci far exceeded our expectations. Our family favorite was the seafood pasta but everything we ate there was good. The staff were friendly and accommodating. On our second visit in 6 days, my husband wanted to have something that wasn't on the menu, fried anchovies. Lovely setting in Piazza Navonna. We sat at a shaded table on a sunny afternoon and enjoyed some cold draft beer and hot, fresh suppli while we listened to the water in the fountain and watched people in the gorgeous piazza. Staff was attentive and friendly. read more

Man oh man. Do I regret eating here? The answer is a resounding yes. I ordered the artichoke Roman style, lasagna, and eggplant parmigiano. The food tasted okay, but doesn't come close to other restaurants. They are also quite pricey. I was a little worried when our order came out so fast...now I'm sure what we ordered was pre-made and sitting there. About an hour after dinner my husband and I both had massive stomach aches and had to rush back to our hotel. Try this place instead, La Vecchia Lozada, if you don't mind a short walk. read more

Great spot! Nice to sit in the piazza navona outside to take in the nice evening, music and people watching. It was a Monday evening so it was not too busy. I had the spaghetti alla bolognese and my dad had the oso bucco con riso. My dish was good but my dad loved his dish and said it paired well with his house red wine. My Bellini was okay. Great waiter and great overall experience. I would come back again and recommend to others as well. FYI- the musicians will come by and ask for money since they played music. The worst food I've ever eaten. Fooled by all the positive yelp reviews. We ordered seafood salad which was bland and bad quality. The calamari was tasteless and rubbery (not the way it should be). The lobster pasta was also tasteless and lobster not fully cooked. The linguine with clams, tasteless. Service - only time they came to our table was to take our order and clear our plates. A bunch of them standing on the sidewalk chatting but not one came by to ask if we needed anything. Our waiter watched me pick at the lobster in disgust while it was still runny and uncooked. I didn't even eat it and just put it down on my plate. He ran over to clear my plate and asked "good?" Who doesn't eat their lobster? Yes, it was THAT bad. We had a great dining experience at Tucci. Showed up with no reservation on a busy evening and received our choice of tables. Mussels were great. Only wish we had more bread for the broth. My friend and I went here when we were rushed for time to get a little dessert and some caffeination in Piazza Navona. We decided on their cannolis, pistachio gelato, and a 'latte freddo' for each of us. We ordered the drink thinking it was a latte, forgetting for a short while that latte in italian meant milk. Being lactose intolerant, drinking milk straight seemed to be the worst for my ailment but we decided to drink it anyway, so as not to seem rude. Anyway the waiters there saw us giggling over the drinks, realized what we actually wanted and offered to replace our drinks with 'caffe un latte,' which was what we had meant to order in the first place. They were very sweet about the whole thing, joking and laughing with us and seemed very attentive to have noticed something as small as that. Got the house wine (great) and grilled sea bass (prepared tableside). Mushroom pasta (the best of the order), melon and ham and fig appetizer, caprese salad (do tomatoes get any better than in Italy??) and spaghetti bolenese for the kids (fantastic). We enjoyed our first dinner in Rome at Tucci. Amazing view of Piazza Navona- be sure to get a seat on the patio. The wait staff was excellent- polite and spoke perfect English. Our best entree was the seafood pasta- it was the best sea food pasta we ate during our entire trip! The pasta carbonara was also delicious. All the pastas and pizzas we order were outstanding. Had a great experience here tonight. My husband and I came here with our 4 month old daughter, who ended up getting fussy in her baby carrier so we ended up having to end the meal earlier than we would have liked. The staff---and the manager---were so helpful and friendly (earlier in the night they turned on one of the heaters for is so we could sit outside with the the baby more comfortable) about the situation and even canceled the second half of our order (pizza) so we could go sooner. "Baby comes first, our work second," was how the manager phrased it. As for the food: we did manage to get through to pastas (cacio e Pepe and the amatriciana) and they were both delicious! And the location, right on the piazza, was terrific. In a touristy area, this was a gem. As my husband was getting change, the manager had him smell some black truffles they just got in---another sigh they take pride in the food and the experience. read more
