Adorable little place for bubble tea. Love their cutesy aesthetic. They carry all the typical bubble teas along with their signature line of fruit tea sodas that come in various "fruity" tea flavours and have fresh fruit pieces inside the drink to be eaten afterwards. I had the yakult soda and my friend had the passion fruit soda. I was impressed by how they had actual passionfruit seed pieces and how some of the fruit inside the drinks became carbonated. They also had the popping pearls in the drink which was pretty creative. They have the cutest cups with their dog on the logo and they tape a fork onto the drink for the fruit. The prices range aroung $4-6 but could increase with toppings. Service took at least 20mins but there were a few other people and the staff working there were nice but quiet. Would come again if I happened to be in the area.

The shop is pretty small with only 3 or 4 tables, but most of the customers got their drinks to go. We wanted to try the peach and the lychee soda tea, but they didn't have it so we got the passionfruit and strawberry soda tea instead. For the medium size, it was around $6-7, pretty standard for drinks of the same size. It also came with a fork to eat the fruits inside. Pretty fun for something to eat and drink in the afternoon.

Visited T's home around 2:30 PM. It was a small shop, but the interior was clean and nicely decorated. Their signature drink is the Soda tea, which comes with a variety of different flavours like mango, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, etc. I got the medium passionfruit soda tea while my friend got the peach soda tea. Unfortunately, the dog wasn't there when we went. The passionfruit soda tea was very refreshing, especially with the fizz. There were 2 slices of watermelon, a grape, slice of lemon and lime, a small piece of pineapple, and some fruit pearls (popping pearls). There were very few passionfruit seeds but the flavour was there. I did like how they put popping pearls in the drink though, as they complimented the fizz well. Overall, the drink wasn't too sweet which I liked and it was great that they used fresh fruits. As a result, the drink was very enjoyable. The drink itself was $6.75 for a 700 ml. It is a little pricey but I thought it was justified by their use of fresh fruits and the size of the drink. Service was okay, the cashier was blunt and straightforward. Although she indicated she was new, I didn't think it was a good enough reason to not smile at customers. Another thing was that we couldn't find a garbage can anywhere in the shop. They had one behind the counter so the cashier took the empty cups/napkins from us and threw them away. Please note though that she was in the middle of preparing a drink, so it wasn't very hygienic in my view. It would be much more convenient if they had a garbage can where the customers can access.

This cafe merits repeat visits as I have enjoyed every item I ordered here. We especially liked their savory items such as breakfast sandwiches and the roast beef melt! Unfortunately, the lobster melt is no longer available on the menu or that would be my favourite. Bastion is a popular place for coffee drinkers to work on their laptops here, because there are outlets available by the round table area that looks into the gym. Service is quite efficient and they even offer free coffee grounds for your gardens when available. Hours of operation are great here, as it opens early and continues till dinner time. Lots of free parking available, though the community centre parking lot can get busy. In short, Bastion is a great coffee shop - whether you are here to catch up with friends over coffee or to stop by for a protein drink after workout or to grab a light meal to go or to simply sit down and enjoy some pastry for your sugar cravings...Bastion Coffee Kitchen won't disappoint!

I ordered the roast beef melt sandwich which is their signature and popular item. Well deserved! It's flavorful and the beef is very soft. You can bite through it easily and there's no dryness at all. It's great if you prefer softer food or teeth are not strong. Lots of tables and seating area. It only got crowded when people sat around waiting for their fitness class. The only drawback was the parking. It was almost full! I was lucky to find a spot round the corner. I sure didn't expect it to be so busy. Reminded me of the busy parking lot at Hillcrest CC in Vancouver. Maybe I was there when there were many fitness classes or activities then. Good place to have a bite or coffee after your workout or to meet friends.

If you're looking for a variety of unique flavours in good pies and good service, the only hole you should be going into...is The Pie Hole! === 2. FOOD If you're looking for exotic and standard flavours of pies, The Pie Hole may have what you're looking for - frozen/fresh in 9" size, in a mini (4"?) format, or in a hand pie format (it's like a Stromboli). On this latest visit, we tried: Raspberry Cream Crumble ($32): one of the signature pies - a great dessert - a lot of raspberry with not-too-sweet cream in a thick, flaky crust. Bourbon Pecan Pumpkin Pie ($34): a neat twist on the traditional pumpkin pie with pecan crumble drizzled with bourbon - a nice touch indeed! Chicken Pot Pie ($7.50 hand pie): better than the Costco version - moist, yet just as thick and chunky! Turkey Dinner Pie ($43): like someone wrapped Thanksgiving dinner inside a pie: shredded turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce all in one - surprisingly good...but bring a little extra gravy/cranberry with you :) === 3. SERVICE The service was great on the phone and in-person. Easy pickup is available for pre-orders (especially during Thanksgiving), and service is good and fast for fresh/frozen pies you order in-person. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's really a storefront; walk down stairs to the retail level and be met with freezers containing pre-orders and a frozen pie selection, a fridge with mini pies, and a display case of fresh pies. It is spacious, but I would leave the wheelchairs and baby strollers behind given the descent into the retail area. Parking involves a spacious private lot (which is full on holidays).
