Great place. Great food. Great service. You won't be disappointed even if you've never had vegan before.

I've had good luck with dedicated smoothie shops until yesterday. It's easy to enjoy the cool,…read morerich, fruity, creamy drinks when made in the right proportions with quality ingredients, yet somehow Simply Fruits - East Windsor didn't seem to know the secrets of success. I ordered the 24 oz Blueberry Blitz ( or some such similar name), which was constructed of coconut milk, blues, strawberries, banana and a thickening powder. Also asked to add a little peanut butter for more complex flavor. I casually watched as it was being prepared. It seemed that the composer of the drink knew what he was doing, yet at the same time, it looked like each of the ingredients were not being added generously. Not many blue and red berries made it into the blender. Less than a whole banana, too. Only a short squirt of thin peanut butter. The only health dose were the two scoops of ice. What you see is what you get. Very true on this occasion. I drank as I drove home. First straw suckage confirmed that the predominant flavor was of weakly sweet cold water from the coconut milk. Couldn't taste the berries distinctly, and the banana was invisible. The peanut butter became more pronounced toward the bottom of the plastic cup. It was more slushy than smoothie. Overall, a disappointment. It might explain why the store was practically empty on a beautiful warm Friday afternoon, and why there won't be a second visit.

My fiancée brought me here for the first time and proceeded to whoop my ass at Jenga and Connect 4…read more I still consider myself the winner though, since I got to enjoy the savory and sweet sides of Frutta Bowl. "The Bravacado" was absolutely amazing. The red pepper pesto pops in your mouth (don't worry, it's not too spicy). We added goat cheese crumbles to ours, and with the eggs and avocado spread it made for a really creamy texture. The toast itself was also lightly crunchy and chewy. For sweet, we had an "Earth" hot oatmeal bowl. We added Nutella, which was soooo delicious over the hot oatmeal and with the craisins. The bowl had the kale base, which I felt was sort of lost at the bottom. I think the Nutella was so overpowering that none of the other toppings were really noticeable. If it had just been oatmeal and Nutella, I would have been perfectly content. I also got to sample all the bowl bases: açaí, kale, and pitaya. The açaí just tasted like banana, and the pitaya was a little flavorless. The kale surprisingly was the best, it wasn't grassy like I would have expected. The best part of these bases is that they don't add any additional sugar, it's just blended fruits! I'm a fan of Frutta Bowl. It has a nice atmosphere and the food is made with wholesome, high quality ingredients.

They went in for me. They never had the intention to deliver to car. The outside was okay. I don't know what the inside looks like, I didn't go in. It was okay. Would get again. My smoothie was tasty and sweet enough. The person I was with, their smoothie was a little tart but still liked it.

The smoothies barely had any flavor in them no matter what we ordered. And the food offered always tasted a bit off. I think the worst part of the smoothies overall was that they had little to no flavor. Or they tasted a bit more like plastic probably because of the straws and they'd also be a bit too thick which made it a bit harder to taste anything. The service was nothing super special as they were overall always nice and friendly. And the ambiance does have good tropical like decorations to help give it the tropical feel. But again, the lack of flavor in the smoothies is the biggest downfall of this establishment. Even though I do not live in NJ anymore, if I were to move back or be near here again, I still wouldn't waste the time going here again. 1/5 stars from my past experiences from the past when I was younger.
