I've been coming here for years since I live locally. Coffee and treats are always good, but today I had lunch, and decided to try the chick pea melt. It was amazing! The Chick'un Ceasar Wrap has House made Chick'un patty, romaine, house made cashew caesar dressing, vegan cashew parm. Their proteins are made in-house and the Chick'un is chickpea based. Came back again after many years because I kept hearing good things about Moth, and especially their beet burger. The service was very friendly and prompt. The coffees came out before the food, and we enjoyed both the latte and iced coffee. The beet burger was quite disappointing. I expected it to be quite loose, as I've had beet burgers before, but I didn't expect it to be quite so bland. The burger itself had no flavor, and the amount of sauce that accompanied it didn't make up for it. read more

When I visit the area I make it a point to come here. My favorites include the sweet cream latte and the London fog tea latte. The prices are reasonable, there is plenty of room to sit down and enjoy your beverage or snack, and sometimes you are treated to live music playing in the corner. If you do plan on visiting, be wary of the parking. There are a few spots available to the side of the building or you have to drive down a steep unpaved driveway and park in a dirt lot. read more

Cute coffee shop located on Main St in Allentown, NJ! This shop is situated in the back of a shared space. There are signs to indicate yoga and pilates classes are on-site. The dining area is super cozy and adorned with ferns, house plants, and natural light. I ordered an enormously large coffee, blueberry lemon cake, and mac and cheese. So many tasty vegan or vegetarian entrees and treats! The vegan blueberry lemon cake was heavenly. I love a natural, lightly sweetened vegan icing and they do it right at the Moth Coffeehouse. The mac and cheese was made with spiral noodles and served with a bed of greens to balance the heavy carbs. Super coffee and a great little shop with a few food options. I absolutely loved this place. When we visited, it was during a festival, so naturally, it was crowded. Given that it seemed to be a typical coffeehouse, I wasn't expecting lightning-fast service. The coffee was divine, crafted as it should be in a proper coffeehouse. Additionally, the place is vegan-friendly, and even though I don't typically go for vegan food, the pastries were irresistible--we had a vegan pastry that was simply to die for! read more

As others have said, The Moth is a great spot to check out. Here, one can enjoy some better than average coffee and take in the sights and sounds of the small waterfall behind the building, which was an old gristmill. If you want a respite from the sea of strip malls and subpar chain coffee, this is a great option. Right now, they're only doing take out orders due to COVID. No problem, that's understandable and they're hardly the only businesses still operating in that mode. However a couple of things puzzled & annoyed me: -no bathrooms for customer use (provides a "hey am I in Manhattan?" ambiance) -I didn't spot a single trash/recycling bin among their outdoor tables and chairs When you drop nearly $20 on a couple of drinks and a couple of bakery items, it would be nice to have somewhere to eliminate the waste! Also, the coffee cake I ordered was no better than entenmann's. I could taste and feel the butter grease, and it had crunch, but that's about it. It even looked just like entenmann's and unfortunately wasn't worth the calories. On the other hand, their chocolate chip zucchini bread was great and I'd highly recommend that. My espresso was better than average, my boo's macchiato was not mixed well, it would be wise to bring your own straw for this. Allentown is almost a "blink and you'll miss it" type of place with a lot of charm, especially in comparison with its neighbors Hamilton & Robbinsville. It's always the right choice to stop by the Moth anytime they're open for a nice coffee & (perhaps) a tasty baked good. Just make sure nature isn't calling and you've got one of those "for the car" trash receptacles. We all look forward to when they can reopen their beautiful interior for days you want to be inside. P.S. parking in their lot was very tough on a Saturday morning. Fortunately we found the last spot. There is another lot down the road on Main Street and it's a nice easy walk. Another bonus: no stupid "cash only," they take cards! read more

Such a cute place with comfortable ambience! I found out about The Moth when I saw a woman wearing a super chic skirt in my town and she told me she got it here. I therefore went to get it the next day, and got the last one! I was so excited. They sell many boutique items here, but their main sell is food items and baked goods. The people who work here are super friendly and kind. This is a vegan restaurant so don't expect to have any meat here. Again, the bakery items are so good here! If you want them, however, you might want to get there early because they sell out fast! The parking situation is a bit unfriendly, as they have tight spots in the front and a small pebble road down to the back lot which is dirt. Otherwise, it's definitely worth it to go here! read more

Stopped in for lunch several months back. The Moth is a cute coffee shop/cafe that specializes in many vegan and vegetarian eats and sweets. I am neither vegan nor vegetarian but like to explore different food alternatives. Their vegan Mac and cheese tasted great. It was creamy and had a bit of a nutty cheesy taste which I quite liked. It came with a small side salad. They're constantly switching up whatever they are baking in the kitchen so you'll have to check day of. The cupcake I had was very simple but super moist and sweet. Sometimes simple is best. According to their website their indoor dining is available again so I'd like to go back and actually sit inside. They also have a back patio to sit at behind the mill which is nice. read more

Such a cute place but the food and service was awful. We called before going and they said the kitchen was open until 345. We got there around 3:30 and they were hesitant to make food. It was 15 minutes before they said the kitchen was closed and a half hour before they closed. They made our food but said we had to take it to go. I ordered the chickpea burger and it was AWFUL. They put at least a pound of pepper on it and it was on a hard pretzel roll. My son had the beet burger and it was a rock. Will not be back. read more

My sister and I were told about moth from a fellow vegan friend and ended up checking it out since it's 25 mins from where we live. We fell in love with the food and vibe of the restaurant. We ended up going every weekend and making sure to get desserts every time. I've been vegan for 2 years and have tried my fair share of vegan restaurants, Moth is hands down my top 3 for food and top 1 for desserts. I've even tried vegan food across the country and nothing compares. Their drink selection is dense and they offer both vegan and vegetarian food. It's a quaint cute cafe with plenty of seats and a beautiful aesthetic. They also do customized cakes for birthdays/events which I highly recommend because their desserts are otherworldly. read more

After about a year of driving past this coffeehouse I had finally decided to try it. The atmosphere is cozy and it is visually appealing. However, the service was terrible. I had order two large iced caramel macchiatos and a chocolate chip banana bread for my son. I received the bread immediately and my son loved it. On the other hand, I waited 35 minutes for my macchiatos before I decided to go get my refund. During the time I went it wasn't too busy. I did not appreciate seeing people who ordered after me receive their coffee. Unfortunately, I decided that I will not be coming here again. I love it here. This is the most ideal coffeehouse with the sweetest vibes and amazing food. I went here for the first time less than two weeks ago and I got the vegan egg salad and the Mac and cheez, everything was so yummy and the little salad that comes with the meals is so good too. I went back this past Wednesday with my sister who is also vegan and she was blown away by how cute the place was and how good the food and drinks were. I didn't get our servers name but he was a really nice guy he was so personable and he made us feel really welcomed. There are beautiful windows in this coffeehouse with these cool little gadgets in the windows that cast a rainbow reflection into the room. Vegan or nonvegan this place is a must. This place is absolutely adorable. It's in an old building adjacent to the lake, and the decor matches the location (in a good way). There's a lot of wood, with some cool live edge tables and old newspapers plastered onto the tabletops. Tucked in the corner is a kook with comfy chairs and a couch. Since I'm not really a coffee drinker, I can't speak to the coffee (although I've read it's delicious). I found this place because I was looking for American vegetarian takeout. If I'm eating Mexican food, Asian food, or Italian it's easy to go meat-free. There are fewer options when you're looking for comfort food. I do wish there were more entrees here, but I understand as a coffeehouse focusing on the drinks with some sandwiches and pastries. I also LOVE that they use real dishes and silverware and compost.
