Mochi cake

This place sells out extremely fast, so make sure you go early in the day if you wanna try their sweet treats. They have a wide variety of pastries, both sweet and salty. One of the most unique items that I tried from their selection is the mochi Matcha strawberry cake. It is a mini poundcake and it is to die for. The texture and the flavor goes so well together, and as somebody who loves the combination of Matcha and strawberry, I highly recommend! There are many flatbreads are also something I would recommend getting if you're looking to get something salty. Make sure to ask for it. Heated up to get the best taste. The inside is also a market so they do have other goods for sale from locals inside. There isn't much indoor seating. It is more of a grab and go type of bakery.

All vegan except the one in bottom right (salted caramel I think)

Went here looking for a dozen vegan cupcakes for an event. I didn't order in advance, but fortunately for me they had 11 vegan cupcakes left (around 10 am on a weekday). There were 3 flavors available and they were all very good according to the people at the event. It seems like it can get very busy at times, but wasn't terrible when I went.

Cheese danish and matcha strawberry cake

My bf brought home several items to try and I loved every single one. MUST TRY FAVES: guava cheese danish, banana pudding The guava cheese danish was the perfect amount of sweet and the guava syrup went perfectly with the cheese danish. The banana pudding was delicious and kept well in the fridge for several days after. It was just as good as (if not better) than the Magnolia bakery banana pudding. The matcha strawberry cake was good but not a favorite for me. The strawberry frosting on top was too sweet for my liking. The cake itself was delicious and moist with a subtle matcha taste! Will definitely be back to try more of their pastries!

Pumpkin pie bar - seasonal

Always perfection. This was my first time actually going to the storefront but I've loved their pastries for a long time. Super cute area in Lawrenceville. 10-15 minutes from Princeton. Surprisingly good amount of parking and there's a small parking lot in the back. Really friendly fantastic staff. I had a large order and they were accommodating and patient. All of the pastries are incredible. Their chocolate pistachio croissant is HEAVEN. *Hilary Duff voice* This is what dreams are made of. It's unique. It's buttery. It's flaky. It's rich. Good ratio of filling to pastry. The pumpkin pie bar (seasonal) was incredible. Super rich and dense - I easily could have have split or quartered it but of course I ate the whole thing. It has pumpkin pie on top, gooey chewy bar filling in the middle and a crumbly delicious pie crust on the bottom. The sticky buns and cinnamon buns look incredible. My friend LOVED the sticky bun I got her. My other friend loves the guava cheese pastry. Their menu may change seasonally. Coffee smelled incredible but I didn't try it. They take credit card.

There are bakeries and then there is The Gingered Peach. A step above your normal or even next level bakery, the Gingered Peach is something special. Beyond being locally owned and using local ingredients (not to mention the local coffee now owned by the Peach), everything is just so damn good! Everything is baked fresh daily (you can tell) and you'll struggle to find something you don't like.

Lemon blueberry loaf, vanilla pound cake, double chocolate banana loaf and cinnamon roll!

Everything is always so good, the pound cake had a soft interior and crispy exterior even days later stored in the fridge! The guava & cheese danish is unreal!

I'm assuming this place is super popular because we ended up walking from Starbucks across to the shop since there wasn't any more parking. Place seems very full. We got a cheese danish, cinnabun, carrot cake cupcake, and cheese and mushroom bread. All were good but the cheese mushroom bread was super hard, it did have an awesome onion taste and was well seasoned. Next time I want to try the cheese and guava danish. The environment is nice it seems very homey and I can see why a lot of ppl go back, there's plenty of options for everyone to pick. They also offer drinks too.

Lemon Bar

Wow how is it that I've missed this bakery for so long! Everything I've tried, as you can tell from all my pictures, are incredible. Lemon Bars, Chocolate Pistachio Croissant, Sticky Buns, Red Velvet Cupcakes, Ham and Cheese Croissant, Basque Cheesecake, Lemon Blueberry Loaf, Cheddar Cheese Biscuit, Blackout/Cornflake Cookies,.... Everything is just perfect without being a sugar loaded bomb. I grab a box of goodies every time I visit to last me a few days. Pucker up, this is the best Lemon Bar I've had outside of California, not too sour and even though it looks to be super sweet, it isn't. The croissants rival the best in NYC without the sticker shock. This Chocolate Pistachio Croissant in particular is one of the best twice baked croissants I've even had. The Ham and Cheese is the perfect ratio of relative to the croissant. The Trenton Volcano, loaded with a slice of Case's pork roll, spinach, cheddar, swiss and topped with everything bagel seasoning is definitely something to start your day. The cupcakes are moist and the frosting is just sweet enough. The folks that run the place always have a smile to help and package all my favorites quickly togo for my trip home. Almost in the middle of nowhere New Jersey, this bakery could be a destination spot to try if you enjoy pastries.

As you can see they are closed at 1pm before their closing time of 3pm.

We drove here all the way from Philadelphia, and they closed the door in our face at 1pm to tell us it is too hot in the place and they need to close. Mind you they had just catered to several guests prior to us coming to the door. Annoyed. They just hung up a fly trap in the window shortly after telling us no service... so I guess there is a bigger issue.I came because of Goldbelly, but it was not worth the attempt to try.

I'd like to share how pleased I am about this tea cafe. I came here on a cold and snowy Saturday,…read morebecause my friends live nearby and I was going over their house to hang out, but I wanted to get tea first. The employees behind the counter were cheerful, and they say a phrase in Japanese that means, "welcome," which is a nice touch. The first thing I noticed in the shop was the matcha mill. They actually have two matcha mills running the entire time, and the employee later told me that it's milling and grinding the matcha to get the freshest matcha possible. Grinding and serving the matcha from its fresh ground state really makes their matcha stand out, and I could definitely tell. I was thinking about getting a cold matcha anyway because I didn't want to microwave it later, but they informed me that their machine for hot matcha wasn't working. That is not the best situation for people who wanted a hot drink, especially since it was so cold and damp outside, but I was really interested in a cold drink anyway, so it didn't really bother me. I got their red bean matcha with oat milk, and I was so happy when I drank it because it tasted like actual real matcha. I've gotten matcha at Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts and I haven't expected anything phenomenal, but I've also gotten matcha at matcha shops and the matcha just doesn't taste right because it was too sweet. This matcha, however, tasted exactly the way matcha should taste! I really, really enjoyed my drink so much, and they serve it unsweetened. I didn't even need to put sweetener in it, but I did put a tiny bit of simple syrup. All I have to say is definitely try this place. You will not be disappointed. Their matcha is amazing, and I am going back to this place every time I visit my friend's house.

If you love matcha, this is your place! Ooika is a cute cafe offering mainly matcha, but a couple…read moreof other options as well. The space is small and brightly-lit with a few seating areas. You even get to see the matcha being freshly milled so you know you're getting some good quality stuff! During each of my visits, I ended up getting whatever monthly/seasonal special they were offering. The first time, I got the ube matcha latte and during my last visit, I got the peppermint chocolate latte. One thing I didn't realize during my first visit is that they give you your drink without the lid so you can sweeten it as you wish. They have syrup that you can pump into your drink. Needless to say, my drink was unsweetened the first time, but still tasty and good enough for me to return. By my second visit, I figured this out as I watched someone else add the syrup to their drink. I literally added a couple of drops because I actually enjoy it when it's not overly sweet. Also, I LOVE that they make all their drinks with oat milk so I don't have to ask for the substitution like I do at most other places. During each visit, I have always received friendly service. I would definitely return!

I got a very happy surprise tonight while attending the Italian-American Festival at Mercer County…read morePark and it was The Great American Cheesecake! Lisa and her partner were so very friendly and allowed me to sample several kinds of cheesecakes that she makes in at 500 square foot industrial kitchen that is attached to her house in Lawrenceville. The first one was the Oreo cheesecake, and it was like biting into a creamy, decedant oreo cookie. Next was the lemon, creamy on the tongue with a lovely lemony finish. The orange cranberry was a sweet and tangy surprise and the cannoli cheesecake - well let's just say I did not miss the crunchy shell!! But they really surprised me when I tasted something I never thought I would have on the East Coast - their huckleberry cheesecake! That is right East Coasters huckleberry was not only a blue hound created by Hanna Barbara, but it is also a sweet-tart little berry that is jam-packed with flavor. So much tastier than its cousin the blueberry. Now I have only had huckleberries in the Wyoming/Montana area of the country and every time someone goes out there I beg them to bring me back some huckleberry jam. Lisa explained to me that huckleberries can also be found in the Poconos and there is a small three week window for which they can be harvested so every year she and her partner trek on up and gather as much huckleberries as they can to create this amazing cheesecake and let me tell you if you never had huckleberries, you need to get your butt either over to Jackson Hole, Wyoming or stay on the East Coast and pick one up at The Great American Cheesecake. All of the cheesecakes are light and creamy, they are not overly sweet and extremely flavorful. There is a touch of Grand Marnier in the cannoli cheesecake and rum and coffee liquer in the tiramisu cheesecake (the only I think I did not have the pleasure of sampling). The Great American Cheesecake has been in existence for two years, Lisa tells me she works full-time but sweets are her passion. She chose to focus on just one thing - making the best cheesecakes she can. She gets the creamy texture by using a cream cheese base, and depening on the cake she will do a mixture of mascapone or ricotta. The cheesecakes are nice and light, creamy and have a great finish on the tongue. Well Lisa, you have done a fine job. Keep playing with flavors, don't be afraid to try new combinations, I will be stopping by for more huckleberry and can not wait to get a tour of the kitchen! Folks, if you are missing Michele Laurie cheesecake, give The Great American Cheesecake a try - I honestly do not believe you will be disappointed, in fact, like me - you will become a huge fan!
