It's moist in a way that you want it to be. Don't be weird. Just appreciate it. My husband likes the queen amor. He's a real connoisseur of baked goods. He recommends the bacon cheddar biscuit for something savory and the queen amor or guava danish. When it comes to The Gingered Peach, I can only speak on their holiday orders for now. I came across a post on social media about a magazine naming The Gingered Peach as one of the best bakeries in New Jersey. From there, I gave them a follow on social media and checked out their website. Sadly, the bakery is about an hour from where I live, but it's about 15-20 minutes from where I work. However, they usually close at 3 pm, which means I would be scrambling in right before they close or I may not make it at all. Bummer! Needless to say, I saw they do dessert orders for the holidays, so that was my golden opportunity! For Thanksgiving, I ordered a purple sweet potato pie and a banana pudding pie. I got to select the date that I'd be picking up my pies, which was on a day that I had to go to the office. During the week leading up to Thanksgiving, the bakery was closed for regular operations. They were only open for dessert pick ups. The pies were a hit! The banana pudding pie was everyone's favorite. Needless to say, for Christmas, a larger order was placed for banana pudding pie, salted honey pie, apple crumb pie, and mashed potato rolls. Now for Christmas, the bakery was open for regular operations and you had to pick up your pre-ordered desserts at their sister business, Melba Ice Creamery, around the corner. Because it was Christmas Eve and I already had a slew of sweets pre-ordered, I decided not to try to go to the bakery that day. Nevertheless, the goods were a hit again! The only downside is that the crust on the banana pudding pie was a little different the second time around, making it tougher to slice and get out of the pan. It was still tasty though! The first time, my sweet daughter took me here--we were rushing to get some projects finished: as she's great with project management and creative ideas as her dad was. So, we enjoyed the variety of choices: I may have tried their spinach quiche, my favorite: with a coffee. I think she may have had something similar with a salad. The other time, my nephew was visiting: and we all, with sister and niece, enjoyed the hearty atmosphere, the awesome polite conversation near very nice people who worked in this joint. They were mannerly and genuinely amicable: that made it easier for me to acclimatize myself--as I only like friendly clean places with my crazy standards of where to go for a change. This place sells out extremely fast, so make sure you go early in the day if you wanna try their sweet treats. They have a wide variety of pastries, both sweet and salty. One of the most unique items that I tried from their selection is the mochi Matcha strawberry cake. It is a mini poundcake and it is to die for. The texture and the flavor goes so well together, and as somebody who loves the combination of Matcha and strawberry, I highly recommend! There are many flatbreads are also something I would recommend getting if you're looking to get something salty. Make sure to ask for it. Heated up to get the best taste. The inside is also a market so they do have other goods for sale from locals inside. There isn't much indoor seating. It is more of a grab and go type of bakery. read more

Went here looking for a dozen vegan cupcakes for an event. I didn't order in advance, but fortunately for me they had 11 vegan cupcakes left (around 10 am on a weekday). My bf brought home several items to try and I loved every single one. MUST TRY FAVES: guava cheese danish, banana pudding The guava cheese danish was the perfect amount of sweet and the guava syrup went perfectly with the cheese danish. The banana pudding was delicious and kept well in the fridge for several days after. It was just as good as (if not better) than the Magnolia bakery banana pudding. The matcha strawberry cake was good but not a favorite for me. The strawberry frosting on top was too sweet for my liking. The cake itself was delicious and moist with a subtle matcha taste! Surprisingly good amount of parking and there's a small parking lot in the back. Really friendly fantastic staff. I had a large order and they were accommodating and patient. All of the pastries are incredible. Their chocolate pistachio croissant is HEAVEN. *Hilary Duff voice* This is what dreams are made of. It's unique. It's buttery. It's flaky. It's rich. Good ratio of filling to pastry. The pumpkin pie bar (seasonal) was incredible. Super rich and dense - I easily could have have split or quartered it but of course I ate the whole thing. It has pumpkin pie on top, gooey chewy bar filling in the middle and a crumbly delicious pie crust on the bottom. The sticky buns and cinnamon buns look incredible. My friend LOVED the sticky bun I got her. My other friend loves the guava cheese pastry. Their menu may change seasonally. Coffee smelled incredible but I didn't try it. I'm assuming this place is super popular because we ended up walking from Starbucks across to the shop since there wasn't any more parking. Place seems very full. We got a cheese danish, cinnabun, carrot cake cupcake, and cheese and mushroom bread. All were good but the cheese mushroom bread was super hard, it did have an awesome onion taste and was well seasoned. Next time I want to try the cheese and guava danish. This little bakery is fabulous and a lucky find in Lawrenceville. I was visiting Rider University nearby and stopped by for some coffee. Then I saw the huge selection of pastries and now I have a go to spot near campus! Lemon Bars, Chocolate Pistachio Croissant, Sticky Buns, Red Velvet Cupcakes, Ham and Cheese Croissant, Basque Cheesecake, Lemon Blueberry Loaf, Cheddar Cheese Biscuit, Blackout/Cornflake Cookies,.... Everything is just perfect without being a sugar loaded bomb. I grab a box of goodies every time I visit to last me a few days. Pucker up, this is the best Lemon Bar I've had outside of California, not too sour and even though it looks to be super sweet, it isn't. The croissants rival the best in NYC without the sticker shock. This Chocolate Pistachio Croissant in particular is one of the best twice baked croissants I've even had. The Ham and Cheese is the perfect ratio of relative to the croissant. The Trenton Volcano, loaded with a slice of Case's pork roll, spinach, cheddar, swiss and topped with everything bagel seasoning is definitely something to start your day. The cupcakes are moist and the frosting is just sweet enough. The folks that run the place always have a smile to help and package all my favorites quickly togo for my trip home. The almond syrup put in the middle gives the whole thing the flavor and softness it needs! The only thing that really ruined my experience was the one gentleman who was working. this is certainly one of the best bakeries in the area if not THE best. I have been coming here from Hamilton for years. lots of different choices for baked goods and I don't think I've ever had something I didn't like. the cheddar bacon biscuit and fig goat cheese bilay are my faves. customer service is always great and they're very organized when they get busy so it's not too bad. there's no seating, only a few tables out back by the parking lot. I wish they could expand into a proper bakery/coffee shop with cozy seating and I could sit there on my laptop for a while. that's the only thing I can think of for how they could improve. read more

I had high expectations for this bakery based off of the reviews, and was excited that I was able to get a Thanksgiving order in. I ordered the mashed potato rolls, funfetti cupcakes, a banana pudding pie, and an apple crumb pie. I was disappointed with the rolls and the cupcakes- the rolls weren't soft and chewy, and the cupcakes weren't that sweet and I didn't like the frosting. My family and I did enjoy the banana pudding and apple crumb pies, but our biggest issue was getting the pie off of the metal pans, especially the apple crumb pie (it was stuck to the pan so no slices came up cleanly). read more

I loved the regular Cruffin until I had the pumpkin Cruffin- Wowwwwwww!!! I'm already preparing my mind for the seasonal change because the pumpkin Cruffin will disappear once fall is over. I'm trusting that GP will bring another amazing addition to the Cruffin family. The Zucchini bread and banana chocolate chip muffins are also really good, the Cruffin however is my go to- tried, tested and proven! Everything here is fresh and bursting with flavor. They were talking about layoffs at work. So I did what any warm blooded patriot would do - I bought an expensive coffee and ate my feelings. I stopped in earlier this week to calm my nerves before a department-wide staff meeting (dun dun DUUNNN). I was hype to see cortados on the menu and even happier to see both sticky buns and cinnamon buns. Everyone before me kept ordering the sticky buns and peer pressure almost won out - until I saw the fig and goat cheese bialy. SAY WHHAATTT??? It was on like Donkey Kong.
