As many of you probably suspect, while I have a healthy admiration for great marketing, what really intriques me are those truly bad campaigns that latch onto your brain stem like a fungus and won't let go. Case in point, Pillsbury's Tunnel of Fudge Bundt Cake contests in the late 60's/early 70's that brought the heretofore niche German ring cake to homemaker prominence in the US. The specter of the Pillsbury Dough Boy dressed as a latter day Burgher Meister/Meister Burgher was truly comedy gold. That doughy androgenous spokesthing was truly they/them before those designations were even on the cultural horizon. You might even say the Doughboy was the Ziggy Stardust of Package Goods marketing. He did however bring the Bundt Cake into the mainstream for which I am eternally grateful. All of which is to say that Nothing but Bundt Cakes is terrific offering these high density circular treats with enough sweet icing to melt your molars. Great stuff all around and in the bakery desert known as Princeton a very welcome addition. Five very easy stars. read more

Birthday freebie #2 brought me to Nothing Bundt Cakes. I loved all of their decorations and displays inside. The woman at the counter welcomed me and let me know they had samples of red velvet cake to try. After having their red velvet cake with chocolate chips inside, I loved how these did not. Even in small portions, the cake was amazing. A couple of days prior, I received an email about their new churro bundt cakes, so I already knew which one I wanted. I appreciated how the icing and chocolate drizzle were soft on top. The cake itself was moist (one thing they nail every time). The star of the show was the chocolate drizzle that oozed from the inside when you got to the center. This cake is easily a 10/10. read more

Another delicious cake from the Bundt cake masters!!! Moist, light, evenly frosted and insanely delicious flavors!!! Perfect cake every time!!! First time at this location and was greeted by the owner who was super friendly, helpful and generous with their samples!!! I was shocked that there were samples as I was just in another store in CA a few days prior and they weren't serving in CA! Very impressed with the flavor of the month and that sample worked - I bought one unexpectedly after trying a sample!!! Placed an online order on Friday and it was ready the following AM for pickup within 30 minutes of store opening! Very impressed with the quick turn around and the red velvet was perfect as always! Definitely worth the 30 minute drive to pickup!!! Only wish they were closer!!! Final thing that I love about this business is that Sundays are reserved and respected as a rest day and sabbath and the cake shops are all closed Sunday! read more

It's all Bundt here! I've been noticing more of these shops popping up and I have to say I was intrigued by the following. The hours of the some of the locations were just a little narrow for a visit during a weekday but this location made it easier to visit. This new shop looks pretty and the folks behind the counter are great. I got a sample of minis but quickly realized that I also needed a cake for a special occasion so I got both. The red velvet medium sized cake and the mini version tasted the same. The red velvet cake was light, not dense, with a slightly sweet subtle chocolate flavor, with a light sprinkle of mini chocolate chips mixed into the cake. I was told that the medium sized Bundt fed 6-8 but I think it could have fed more. The white icing on top was definitely sweet. I slightly modified my version by stuffing the middle with some fresh blueberries which I'd say Nothing But Bundt should consider as an standard option actually. LOL. I thought it complimented the cake very well. All the Bundts had essentially the same texture and subtle flavors. Having tried a few, I believe the Lemon Raspberry and Confetti were my favorites. They are running a promotion at this particular location currently, if you buy the small lunch bag for $4.50, you will get a small bundt for free when you buy 3 provided you bring in the bag just for the summer 2022. That was a no brainer since I was already buying four minis. Finally the staff were great and I'll be back when I'm in need of a bundt for sure. read more

Located in the corner spot of this strip mall. A work perk brought me in here but I've been seeing this chain elsewhere on Yelp so it was only a matter of time that I would visit. I didn't look at all of the flavors online but they were easy to see in the case. I went for choc choc chip and also a carrot cake. There were several others that were contenders too, but that will be for another time . There's a seasonal flavor, today this was key lime pie, new one coming soon I was told. I liked both very much. Both had dense rich cake bodies which were filled in with the butter cream icing. I like the icing a lot too, not over-sweetened or too buttery either. The carrot may have been a slight favorite, the icing was really perfect for it, and the cake contained raisins which I happen to like in a CC. Half of one seems a fair serving for me, but without restraint a whole one or more could disappear. The shop also has some gift items. And both of the Bundt sizes would make great gifts too. The large double decker would be really cool to serve at a party. Customer service was very friendly and helpful. My first purchase generated a buy on get one coupon that I'm planning on using. If you sign up to get their emails you also receive a bundtlet on your bday. I hope the major construction on this mall finishes up soon so they will hopefully see more foot traffic. read more

I've had these tasty Bundt cakes many times over the past few years and I'm never disappointed with them. But I've never actually been into an actual store before. So I was delighted to see there was one down the road from my job. I came in because my boyfriend had a rough day at work and I wanted to get him a nice little treat to make him feel better. So I decided I'd stop in on my way home. I just wanna say this place looks exactly like you'd think a Bundt cake shop would look like haha. Very cute, lots of bright pastels and so many cakes! It's honestly delightful. So I'm greeted by the young lady at the counter (Jaiyla. If you're reading this I'm sorry I couldn't remember the spelling ) She was so incredibly kind and recommended me a new flavor I haven't tried yet! Which by the way they had fresh samples of the new flavor to try! It was Rasberry Lemon and it's perfect for summer not too tart with the right balance of sweet. At first, I tried to order a box online for same day delivery, but as I was about to place the order, I got an error notice saying the time slot I had chosen was no longer available. I tried calling in, and they were able to place the order for same-day delivery, which was great! I wish the online ordering system was easier to use and let me place the order, especially if I were able to do it over the phone. I heard about this place but never paid much attention, my stupidity. We had the chocolate chocolate chip and white chocolate raspberry. Omgoddess!!! Let me tell you the cream cheese frosting was a 10!! Not overly sweet, fluffy and just enough to compliment the cake. Icing/frosting can either make or break a cake. Now onto the moist and light cake with the raspberry puree I could've eaten an entire cake, but these bundtlets are perfect in size. A little bigger than a cupcake but not overwhelming. It's even big enuff to share, if you're generous..lol The chocolate chip was also delicious, not usually a fan of chips in my cake but they weren't overpowering, basically a few here n there and they were mini, so it worked. The chocolate was not over sweet, of course moist and just a little dense bc chocolate. Definitely worth it's divinity. What I liked about these little bundts of heaven is their not like those horrible cupcake places. They keep the ingredients real. but their not overwhelmingly sugary, their moist, light cakes and they look pretty. They feel like their baked in your home. So definitely worth a check in often. I can't say enough wonderful things about this PARTICULAR "Nothing Bundt Cakes." While the cakes are delicious at the different establishments i've purchased cakes from, the Princeton store has quickly become my favorite. Recently, while ordering a gift, I inadvertently purchased my gift from the North Brunswick store instead of the Princeton store. When my husband arrived at the Princeton store and they noticed they did not have my order, I quickly recognized my error. The lovely owner of the Princeton store immediately gave us what I had originally order for free, and suggested we call the North Brunswick store, explain what happened, and felt fairly certain they would refund our money so that we could then give payment to the Princeton store. Incredibly, the North Brunswick store was unwilling to cancel our order and refund our money. We then called the Princeton store to explain the other store's unwillingness to "do the right thing" and to pay her for the order she so kindly gave to us. Maria, (the owner) refused to accept money from us and felt terrible that the North Brunswick store charged us for cakes we never received. Although we insisted several times, Maria refused to accept payment, and, instead, wished us a Happy Holiday season. (This incident took place in December). Thank you, Maria!! I bought a mini chocolate with chocolate chip Bundt cake yesterday thinking the cake would be "good" and resolving myself to the fact that I would be in a "sugar coma" after eating a chocolate cake with chocolate chips and icing.
