The dark chocolate matcha was sick! Delicious! Great spot to chat maybe not work because some of the tables are small but saw lots of people working and studying here! The sweet treats are delectable. Will be back. Really liked their rolls too!!

Such a cute matcha Cafe in New jersey. The lady running the place was so sweet and so kind. She had the biggest smile on her face and a place about where they warm and welcoming. There were some children / high schoolers or college students just hanging out here. So I know that this is go to spot for a lot of students for studying or just hang out. The matcha ice cream was very nice. It was very soft and not too thick or heavy. I think the Matcha was really good. It was not too bitter, and it tastes pretty standard to the matcha powder quality that I would get that's a little more on the expensive side. The Nutty flavor that was in the drink was also very nice. Would definitely recommend if you love a little bit of nutty Flavor in Your matcha.

LOVED their matcha and onigiri! Some of the best you can get in the central NJ area. I got the strawberry matcha and it ended up being the perfect amount of strawberry flavor. The sweetness was super mild which I liked and they had the option to add additional simple syrup if you prefer. They whisk each cup of matcha personally and you can tell by the quality and color. I also unexpectedly loved their onigiri. Both options (chicken and salmon) were delicious. There were few tables to sit indoors and more space outdoors, which would be a great place to chat on a sunny day. The servers were very friendly. I can't wait to be back and enjoy more of their drink menu and peaceful ambiance!

I'm OBSESSED with Ooika and I literally visit every time I'm in the area for work! They directly source their single-origin matcha and hojicha from Japan and grind it in-house using a traditional Japanese stone mill. It is DELICIOUS. Their lattes are served unsweetened and they only use oat milk (no whole milk or other milk alternatives), but they have sweetener available to pump yourself once your order is ready. The taste is so delicious that I've purchased 20g of hojicha from them to make at home! (I already make my own matcha lattes at home lol) Staff is always so friendly and the cafe is always so clean. I also love that you see the stone mills grinding the matcha in a display case. Very cool. Parking is easy in the lot behind the building and they have limited indoor and outdoor seating available.

Cute little matcha tea shop in corner of Lawrenceville and right across the Lawrenceville School campus. Matcha homemade and authentic as it gets. They have hot and cold options -dark chocolate, strawberry and ube. Also dessert options of ube cookies and cake, mochi and green tea and ube cookies.

Incredibly high quality matcha. It was earthy, not too sweet and creamy. Highly recommend the strawberry matcha latte or the ube matcha latte! Staff were so friendly and the owner was very interactive! Interior was minimalistic and beautiful.

Ambiance: little cafe with some noise due to the milling of matcha (but not too loud). Feels very authentic. Service: the ladies behind the cafe were very friendly. They greet everyone that walks through the door in Japanese and with a smile. Loved the friendliness. Food/Drinks: Menu is small but perfect. We got the Hojicha-Strawberry Latte, Dark Chocolate Matcha Latte and the Sakura-Hojicha ice cream. All of them tasted fantastic! The flavors were light (not sweet, not bitter...just perfect). If you want sweetness, they had a simple syrup bottle that was diy. We loved it so much, we ended up buying hojicha and matcha powder to try and make some ourselves at home!

Best Matcha I've ever had in my life! I will come back to this place time and time again for their Matcha. It is on the price your side, but worth every penny. They also host traditional Matcha making classes if you sign up for their text message and loyalty program. There is a bar within the café, where you can see the barista make the Matcha in front of you and they'll explain the whole process of everything that they're doing. You could read more about how they source their Matcha in the process in which they make it on their website and Instagram. This place is definitely worth trying, and I am very excited for them to open up their new location in Princeton!!

Stopped by this cute and trendy matcha spot on our way to New York from New Jersey and it was SO GOOD. I saw on TikTok that their mill their own matcha and I thought that was so cool so we had to check it out. Not only do they mill their own matcha, but the matcha itself is actually really good! Other than the strawberry puree, there was no added sweetener so you could really taste the matcha. It was quite earthy and vegetal, not very umami from what I remember, very creamy, not astringent at all. Paired with their selection of oat milk made a really smooth drink. Out of all the matcha shops I've been to, LA, SF/Bay, I think this one tastes the best!

I looooove this place! It was my first introduction to matcha and I am now obsessed. The service is a 100/10, everyone is so kind and they all make the experience so peaceful & enjoyable. The location is in the heart of Lawrenceville, lots of parking & very nice outdoor seating area. The inside is simple & clean, allowing the matcha to shine. So excited that they are expanding and I hope they continue to open more locations so everyone can try this place!

Beautiful interior, friendly and helpful staff, and great products! Loved my experience here, would definitely come again for some matcha or hojicha.

Cute spot for matcha. Has free wifi(password - matchalatte) The server Vivian was very sweet and helpful. My sister and I enjoyed our drinks and studied inside and outside. The inside is kept very clean and spotless. They have books you can read. Beware- you have to go all the way in the back of the other street to park then walk to the shop. Sitting outside is very close to the street and cars or passersby can be distracting. Overall 9.8/10 experience.

3 and 3/4 stars…read more Someone said a "slice of Boca"? No, not quite. (Although "not Boca" isn't necessarily a bad thing.) However you look at it, the comparison is inflated. The latte was good (not delicious), but a tad watery with a fullness of flavor missing. It was a rainy Saturday afternoon and the place was busy, but not overwhelming so. Tables were full, but it was only a short wait for me to place my simple order (by coffee shop standards) of a small, vanilla latte. However, once my order was taken (yes, the wait-server was pleasant) and I paid, I was left to figure it out. First time in and so I didn't know what the deal was: do I wait where I am? Pick up at a different counter? Ok...but where? Does someone call my drink out when it's ready (there's no put-your-name-on-a-cup thing -- which IS annoying, but apparently can be more handy than I've previously thought)? Is the order stated when the cup is placed down? The person who waited on me had vanished into a gaggle of chatting and giggling girls behind the counter, so I asked another customer. (FYI: you wait at the perpendicular counter to your left of the register.) No big deal, but it's one of those "little things" that separates the four stars from the five. I moved to the "wait" counter and observed a few drinks being placed down -- all beverages in similar cups -- and had to (again) ask someone else for help (i.e., which order was mine), as the barista who made my drink put it down and then disappeared into that gaggle of girls. (Also minor, but another separator of the three and three quarter stars from the four.) In short, the latte was good, but not the best. The service? Ok, but not the best. The ambiance? Again ok. Maybe because I've lived in SE Florida for more than 20 years, but it definitely does not have that true Boca feel. Nonetheless, given the options in the area, Hamilatte is a welcome attempt at something different, and definitely a preferred choice to Starbucks. I will return if I'm nearby, but I won't go out of my way (as I do for a truly 5-star establishment).

From there, I gave them a follow on social media and checked out their website. Sadly, the bakery is about an hour from where I live, but it's about 15-20 minutes from where I work. However, they usually close at 3 pm, which means I would be scrambling in right before they close or I may not make it at all. Bummer! Needless to say, I saw they do dessert orders for the holidays, so that was my golden opportunity! For Thanksgiving, I ordered a purple sweet potato pie and a banana pudding pie. I got to select the date that I'd be picking up my pies, which was on a day that I had to go to the office. During the week leading up to Thanksgiving, the bakery was closed for regular operations. They were only open for dessert pick ups. The pies were a hit! The banana pudding pie was everyone's favorite. Needless to say, for Christmas, a larger order was placed for banana pudding pie, salted honey pie, apple crumb pie, and mashed potato rolls. Now for Christmas, the bakery was open for regular operations and you had to pick up your pre-ordered desserts at their sister business, Melba Ice Creamery, around the corner. Because it was Christmas Eve and I already had a slew of sweets pre-ordered, I decided not to try to go to the bakery that day. Nevertheless, the goods were a hit again! The only downside is that the crust on the banana pudding pie was a little different the second time around, making it tougher to slice and get out of the pan. It was still tasty though! Would I return? Absolutely!

He smiled the smile of someone who knows exactly what that means and drizzled with confidence. The drink was something so familiar yet completely new. Smooth, rich, and somehow gentle despite the fire. The chili honey bit like a memory of something you once loved and lost, but it soothed just as quickly. I was glad I ordered the small, which was not small at all. The cup sat in my hands like a minor planet. The interior is modest in space but large in spirit.
