I loved turtle beans! I stopped by to get some work done on a Tuesday afternoon. The seating was mostly taken by people enjoying conversations, but there was a lovely couch available for me. This place is soo trendy cute. I almost missed the entrance though I only found it because someone opened the door. Right when you walk in there's sporadic seating and a lot of open space for the line. The counter to order is in the back and it's very cramped there. I just ordered a summer seasonal lattes to go and it was really good. I saw some other drinks being ready while I waited for mine and some of them looked so good some pretty too. There's so pastries as well but they didn't look good the glass cloches were foggy. I would definitely come back here to chill. It's a little too busy to study or work here, idk if they have wifi actually, but that's just my thoughts. There's outdoor seating too. read more

Best coffee around and good pastries and other item available always pleasant staff peaceful atmosphere

This review is purely based on coffee taste, it was a very expensive coffee. I finished my coffee which means it was at least good enough to satisfy me. I travel all across the world and drink coffee, and there are baristas who are so passionate about coffee it shows up in the taste. This is unmemorable, the beans, the expresso shots, the flavor was all slightly below the average of the rest of the United States. I'll never return here. I hope they put more love and focus on the overall quality of each product in the latte. read more

After walking around this year's Bordentown street fair, we needed a jolt. Lucky for us, we saw Turtle Beans had a table set up, and the store was open too. I'd read about how the owner is from Costa Rica and comes from a coffee growing family. If you think that means they'd have a product that beats the usual Starbucks, Dunkin, or Wawa (let's not even mention 7-11), you'd be right! I ordered an espresso, which is my usual benchmark of a good coffee shop. They nailed it: it was of course strong, but subtly sweet. Not at all like the burnt tasting, sometimes lukewarm sludge they sling at Sbux or DD. It would've been cool if it came with the seltzer on the side as some shops do it, but this was delicious on its own. My boo ordered what I call a "coffee drink" of some sort. I asked her what it was and she just told me "it was some kind of caramel thing." She liked it. The price was reasonable for the quality and quantity, probably a bit less than sbux. They also have a rewards program, so sign up while you're here. They had a decent amount of seating including a couple of bar stools, and the bad bunny mix got us almost as hype as the coffee. Turtle beans is an awesome addition to Bordentown! I'm glad we now live close enough to walk here, because we plan to stop by on work days once in a while for a treat. What a great find! I randomly found this place since it's on my way back home from Grounds for Sculpture. The servers were helpful and friendly. The ambiance and vibe there is nice. Stopped by after lunch recently and was very impressed with the space. It looked like a fantastic place to spend a few hours and get some work done. The baristas were very nice - my wife and I each ordered a hot latte and they were tasty! Not the absolute best I've ever had but very good. Unfortunately, I have made a google account to make this review. (my review was never posted and or taken down which is suspicious to me.) This is not a common activity for me, hence the need to make an account to post...I felt obligated after what I saw at this establishment on Friday morning. I had come in to sit with a friend and catch up over lattes. I am not one to eavesdrop, but it was nearly impossible in this situation. The older man behind the counter (Whom I could only assume is the owner) was barrading his employee in full view of all customers and other employees. The utter lack of awareness was shocking, most shocking however, was him continuously yelling while the girl ran away crying. I know she was crying because she sniffled through the seating area on her way out the door a bit later. I have skimmed the reviews here and noticed most of the bad ones are solely about the owner and now it is clear to me why. In my 58 years on this Earth I have never seen anything like this in a business. Especially not one who fronts theirs as a relaxing and sophisticated experience. read more
